Pros: Very kind and hospitable hostess. We ate fresh shtrudel for breakfast. It was quite delicious! Then we were instructed how to find interesting places in the nearest visinity. Thank you so much))
Cons: Little bit cold, but blankets are warm enough.
Pros: The location was an excellent base to explore Cesky Raj, Ms Slukova and Mr Slaby were perfect hosts, full of local knowledge on the best routes and trails to see the stunning sutrroundings. We stayed at the end of September, the weather was beautiful and the fields and forests were full of apples and nuts. We took the option of breakfast with our stay and awoke on the first morning to freshly baked apple and walnut strudel courtesy of Ms Slukova, delicious!! We would highly recommend staying here and if were back in the same area this is where we,ll stay!
Pros: I truly recommend staying at "U kohouta"! The location is great, in a small village just near a beautiful trail - a showcase of Cesky Raj's best views. If you want to cycle, there are trails starting just nearby. The landlord is very kind and will recommend trails, talk about the region and help you with anything you need when asked. The room is very cosy and there is a well-equipped kitchen in the shared space. You can also relax in a beautiful garden surrounding the house. Breakfast is a must-try! We had a really lovely stay!

Pros: The property itself was beautiful, clean and obviously quite new. Location was superb giving us easy access to Prague and the Bohemian Paradise an area that include many medieval castles, and the famous ‘rock’ towns. An amazing adventure. Thank your lovely lady for doing our washing ..... much appreciated Thank you Joseph.
Cons: The property was advertised as Pension appartments. Mmmm what is that? It’s a room with bathroom and shared kitchen/dining/living facilities. Not bad at all but definitely not what we expected. Apartment to us is a self contained unit comprising of bedroom bathroom kitchen/dining/living. As an international traveler this would have need good to know. Would recommend tho if you enjoy sharing with others.

Pros: Charming location, nice and clean room, friendly owners (the son was our translater).
Cons: I would prefer a softer bed and more cookers(only a single electric cooker present).
Pros: Huge apartment with terasse , connection to the garden, close to the woods. Can be ideal for families with children. Peaceful environment, birds are singing at the morning.
Cons: There were two heating equipment (with central control) in the room, but one of them was wrong, not heating, but being rather load. I suppose, it will be repaired for the next heating season :-)
Pros: Friendly owner who lives nearby to help you. Fast and easy communication with her, she was very nice at all times.Beautiful quiet village with lots of walks in the area nearby. Clean apartment with all things we needed, nice beds. Also lots of toys for children, both for inside and outside. Nice and well mantained garden, good for relax and also to play with children.
Cons: We were very happy but just to improve I would recommend replacing bulbs in kitchen by some more powerful, as it is too dark at night to read or to play some game.
Pros: Everything was fine
Cons: No internet

Pros: The room was beautiful, extremely clean and with the most amazing view. It was a forest oasis in the middle of a lot of manufacturing towns. The staff were very helpful. But the best part was the food - so good it was a mistake to eat anywhere else during our three day stay. The garlic soup especially was a delicious surprise.
Cons: Some soap in the shower would have been handy.

Pros: Nice modern facilities. Everything you need to be comfortable
Cons: The share bathroom in common areas was not clean at all like the rest of the apartments were
Pros: Interesting building and painting on it, quiet location, getting keys was easy. Everything is clean, tidy and new. You can also combine your stay with visit of brewery. Easy to find and surroundings seemed safe and quiet.
Cons: Ventilation is an issue and also bathroom- our toilet bowl was moving, inside bathroom you have no place to hang your cloth or towels, shower gel holder is outside the cabin. Common area in the middle of all appartments- I hope we didn't bother other guests. Roof windows are directly over bed so in case of rain water can get in. In the morning there was no electricity but it was not hotels fault (it was in all willage).
Pros: Very good location for trips to Český ráj by car, clean rooms, fully equipment kitchen, nice staff, we had short excursion about destillery which is situated in the building
Cons: a lot of flies around distillery especially when we drank wine :-)
Pros: Nice accommodation - fully equipped kitchen available to use. Nice staff. All over recommended.
Cons: Water from tab did smell weird a bit.
Pros: A very interesting place to stay. It is a working distillery and the owner was nice enough to show me all of the equipment and explain how it worked. I found that very interesting and it was nice of him to take the time to do that. The rooms are upstairs, are very new and clean. There is a shared kitchen and common area. The kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave, stove, and kettle which is nice.
Pros: Great place. Clean and comfortable. It has a common area with a living room, tables and a kitchen. Very useful to prepare dinners or breakfast.
Pros: Room was spacious, clean and new. In the house there is a shared kitchen with fridge, microwave and stove. Also there is a quite large dining area with 3 tables and chairs. Perfect starting point for bike trips to Czech Paradise.
Cons: Beds were like sleeping on a concrete slab, pillows were completely flat.
The chateau hotel is located right in the center of Skalni Mesto (the Rock Town) in Bohemian Paradise. The hotel is rebuilt from an original 14th-century castle, which was later rebuilt into a Renaissance chateau. The hotel offers accommodation in 43 rooms and 6 hostel-style rooms in 2 buildings. The reception building is in the first castle building. The restaurant and wellness are located in the second building. The guest rooms are stylishly furnished and have a bathroom with a bath or shower. Guest rooms have a shared bathroom on the corridor. Eden spa - a sauna overlooking the Skalmi city, steam, massages, whirlpool. Parking by the hotel. Free Wi-Fi.
Pros: The location is top notch. The staff are even better. The manager Petr mach and his team are exemplary. We travelled with our old mother and due to her restrictions we carried food from home - they were kind enough to store it in the fridge and heat portions each mealtime for the entire duration. Hats off to them. Also there was a fruit plate and bottle of proseco awaiting us on entry
Cons: The room service. The towels were not changed. The coffee / tea / sugar packs were not replenished. The bedspreads were just dustedd and not changed for new.
Pros: Pretty grounds, nice rooms, friendly staff, above average breakfast, and a nice location for hiking. We easily hiked to Skalni Město, Valdštejn castle, and Trosky castle so it was perfect for a few days of hiking.
Cons: The breakfast was quite good but the coffee was very bad. If you don't like hiking or castles then there isn't much to do around the area.
Pros: For anyone wanting to explore the Czech Republic, this is a good place to start. We had a hire car from Prague airport which was very necessary. Driving through Prague had its moments though. The building is fantastic and in a really lovely location. However, it is for country lovers who want to do some exploring - not for city lovers. Some lovely old castles nearby. Lots of interesting walks amongst trees and by lakes. We did have one problem which was that the kitchen closes at 19:30 (quite normal for many hotels outside Prague) and we arrived too late for dinner. Had to make do with cake, beer and peanuts on the first night. We got to the restaurant on time on the second and third nights and the food was fine. Good breakfast too. Staff were excellent and helpful. Not much English spoken but their English is better then our Czech. Take a phrase book.
Cons: Restaurant could stay open later in the evening. A little more heat in the room would be nice.
Pros: Very friendly staff, amazing view, extraordinary location, tasty food and very good local beer, wonderful surroundings.
Cons: Too cold in the room.
Pros: This was an idyllic four days at a gorgeous property with dreamy views, a spa, good food, and hikes through some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve seen in a while. The staff went above and beyond in helping us with everything, all in excellent English. We could have happily stayed longer.
Pros: The location, views and environment were stunning. The welcome "with compliments" bubbles and package was lovely. The room was spacious and we had an amazing view. The beds were super comfy. Especially loved the restaurant terrace!
Cons: The restaurant staff didn't seem very well coordinated and gave us conflicting information on several occasions. No desserts (confirmed twice with the staff and then walked past a massive chocolate cake displayed on the bar)! The water supply in the room was cut off for 30 minutes without prior notice. Upon enquiring further it was due to a room being reconstructed on our floor. It would have been nice to know in advance, though.
Pros: Amazing place with an amazing view! It is very recommended to wake up early to see the sunrise! I enjoyed a lot from the feeling of an old castle as if I was a knight in the middle ages. The staff and the workers at the restaurant were very kind.
Cons: The castle has no elevator, so be prepared to climb several stairs with your bags.

Pros: Very nice location on the beautiful path to the castle Kost. The staff was friendly.
Cons: I do not think I would stay a week. For 1-2 nights it is fine.

Pros: Comfy bed. Quiet location. Pension Cat :)
Cons: It was no problem, as there was another guest who helped us translate, however, the owner only speaks Czech. We were unable to use the full facilities and WiFi etc due to not being able to communicate.
Pros: The view, the lake , good location.
Cons: The place looks beautiful, but it's not cleaned. And...after we have been there, we found out that the bathroom and toilet are shared! This was a surprise, and we didn't expect it at all.
Surrounded by woods, a 10-minute drive from Turnov, Hostel Hrubá Skála is set in a castle from the 14th century and offers a restaurant on site. Free WiFi is available in public areas. All rooms at Hostel Hrubá Skála feature a seating area. A shared bathroom is available on each floor. Parking is possible on site for a surcharge. Trosky Castle is 8 km away, Jičín is reachable within a 20-minute drive. Prachovské Skály is 11 km from the property.
Pros: I didn't get room booked by Booking.com because all hostel rooms were occupied. However staff prepared for us hotel rooms for the same price. Great breakfast, room clean and well comfortable. Parking is available in front of building but it's additionally paid - 80 CZK per day.
Pros: Food at the castle restaurant was great and our kids really enjoyed the great buffet breakfast! Really great location to explore Cesky Raj from!
Cons: The mattress was so uncomfortable - there was no cushy layer separating the springs and the sleeper. My son had the only comfortable bed - futton style. The room was clean with exception between the wall and the bed and we had a sink and hot water kettle with tea and cups provided. Also received a basket of nice fresh fruit:) Shared showers and toilette was ok on girl side and in disrepair on boy's.
Pros: The surroundings of this place is out of this world, I went there twice just to for the bohemian paradise forest.
Cons: The room wasn’t so clean, and of very poor taste.
Cons: Beds are terrible! I ha to sleep on the floor because the mattress was so bad!
Pros: Lovely place. Perfect breakfasts.
Cons: Walls in the room were demaged and dirty. The water tap in the room was not work properly due to water stone. Full and paid parking
Pros: Location is ok, we hiked a lot. Breakfast was good, the owner was very nice and helpful in the morning.
Cons: We booked the room for 2 people. when we arrived we were told that we had reservation for 1 person only so we had to pay extra. The lady of reception was not nice at all. She was speaking Ukrainian even though we do not speak that language. We can communicate in Czech, Russian, English, but she pushed Ukrainian, so we could not follow her. The room was not clean , the bathroom was smelly. The kitchen closes very early, i think at 8 pm, so we had no food that day. Even no snacks were offered by the lady who was having a dinner in front of us.
Pros: Good location to explore nearby attractions by car. Decent breakfast. Staff speak English. Cheap bar downstairs.
Cons: The room wasn't very clean, we only had hand towels and hand soap, the pillows were uncomfortable and the duvets were thick winter covers, not suitable for summer. We counted 8 or 9 house spiders in the room, some smaller, some quite big. No bedside lamp, just a light switch near the door. Walls are very thin, we could hear our neighbours very clearly, we were lucky they weren't loud at night, just a lot of chatter in the evening. The whole place had a 90s vibe, it felt like travelling back into the past.
Pros: Quiet location, nice beer in the evening, a convenient starting point to nearby attractions & points of interest.
Cons: the beds we the worst I ever slept, it is actualy the dormitory not the hotel
Cons: There was no politeness (no please, thanks, apologies) at all. Proud to be Chech without respect of another Nation.
Pros: Everything was fine. Great price.
Pros: Easy to find. Good location. Lady at main bar/reception was freandly and polite.
Cons: Feel disappointed about breakfast. Staff do not offer to choose breakfast options but at the morning realised that another people who was for the breakfast had different food.
