Ths staff were freindly and helpful. I booked this hotel because there was a pool - the pool was not open during our stay. I also note on the bookings.com website that it says that payment is not taken before check in, but it was. It was also undergoing a major redecoration and nothing was mentioned about that at the time of booking.
Comfortable Not enough choice of evening meal
everyone from the staff was friendly, courteous, efficient and caring; you could feel very comfortable; location allows for trips to city and countryside as well.
Very nice for children with outdoor pool and play area in hotel lobby, both for small children but also for older children with play station. Nice with large sitting area, newspappers and TV in hotel lobby. Very close to large shopping centre and just 50 meters from McDonalds. Train station not so near and you need to drive car there.
Bad hotel. old and unpleasent. It is not a genuine Novotol.
The room and breakfast The atmosphere in the restaurant in night time.
food good value no
It was clean and adequate in beautiful surroundings. It was to far away from the rer station and the centre of town. The pillows were to soft. The
Good location, excellent value for money, clean rooms , freindly staff
Good food, relaxed atmosphere, quiet area, close to golf Rooms small
location to our customer comfort so so
Recently refurbished so bright and modern. Lots of free parking. Convenient for driving into Paris via the new motor access road nearby. Main menu meals were goog but.... buffet was not as good as most other Campaniles we've stayed in.
Friendly staff, clean well equipped rooms. Restaurant was being refurbished so no breakfast available - the bagged alternative of long life cakes was very poor. Would have been very easy to provide at least a decent cup of coffee and a pastry in the lobby.
It's very convenient for Versailles Too far out of St Germaine en Laye - nearer to Chambourcy really.
The hotel was very comfortable and provided my elderly mother and I with all that we needed. Breakfast was very nice, beds comfortable, parking convenient and staff very friendly and helpful. I had asked in advance if our rooms could be next door (to reassure my mother) and this was done, which was much appreciated. No, it was great
The location, very quiet. Not very clean, bedsheets stained, old and noisy air condition
Clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff
Breakfast was excellent The room was tiny for three people - barely enough space to turn around.
location Although kettle facility was provided (base) the actual kettle was missing. The staff seemed unable to provide a replacement. Hot water was provided in lieu of the kettle
Friendly and helpful staff small room
The freedom to make/cook own meals. Could have done with easy chairs in room for a more relaxing 'sit'. Would have been god to have access to the garage without having to go through reception (keypad?)
Very clean hotel. Some staffs do not speak English and problem with communication. No public transport available. I had to call taxi everyday to commute RER station that costs 12 Euro in the morning and 16 Euro in the evening. Hotel address is not in all taxi companies' list. I had to call taxi twice a day, everyday with UK mobile which took at least 10min each call and the taxi's switch borads are very unhelpful.
Clean, complete, convenient and reasonable. Their sign was small and hard to find. We passed the place twice before we found them.
a great place, very good value and an excellent location - about 15 minutes walk from Chatou-Croissy station, about 20 minutes from centre of Paris - very clean moden rooms (we had a two room aprtment for 4 of us) loads of room, free wi-fi, good breakfast - great for Paris, but out of the centre - great price - recommended
The room was nice, spacious and clean, and so was the bathroom. Very convenient to have a refrigerator and kitchen. The hotel is a bit far off from everything. It's a 20-minute walk to the rer station and if you want to go there by car in the rush hour, you get stuck in a traffic jam. Not a big choice of restaurants in the area.
good price, but situated in the outskirts.
Family Room was more spacious than other same type hotels and daily room clean was made. We would like to stay. Really Nothing, if you have car, you can go anywhere around Paris.
Cleanliness, premises, the room itself Difficult to communicate with staff in English
liked the bath and kitchenette area didnt like the fact that u didnt have any free internet as promised and the beds are actually sofa beds not real beds so made it a bit hard and uncomfortable
It was quiet and I always enjoy having a kettle in my room for making extra cups of tea early morning and late at night. The staff were helpful. It was not exactly in the town but some way out and quite difficult to find.
Obliger de dormir dasn la famille car la clef n'etait pas prã©sente a l'endroit prã©vu
Very cinvienient to the Town. Easy to find. The room was very smelly. Prieiouse guests had been smokeing
Very well run hotel managed by a nice and helpful family.
Handy position coming from UK to Paris.Good staff and relaxed atmosphere.Pleasant area to have a beer after work.
friendly helpful staff (we speak no French) Our room had been used by a smoker
the view to Paris and the town of St Germain a little outworn
The location is superb with open views over Paris, the Seine and a short journey to town, especially La Defense business district. Needs an upgrade of facilities. Problems with the door, internet access and plastic sheeting which had to be taken off the bed.
The fantastic view, both from our room and from the restaurant. The spacious room accomodations and excellent quality of both the Dinner and the Service. The only slight criticism would be the floor tiling in the bath room could stand to be updated/renewed.
St. Germain en Laye is a stunning town on the outskirts of Paris. Pavillion Henri IV is a stunning historic palais, with marbled entry way, a five star restaurant, and an outside deck overlooking paris. The sense of elegance steeped in history is worth the visit. When you order a cab for the airport, specify a taxi, not a limo. I ended up with a 90 euro drive to the airport!
Wireless broadband internet. Spacious rooms. Ambiance and fabulous view over the city. Too few free power outlets in the room. The quality of the restaurant is good but prices are relatively high.
I spent one night at the hotel before going in the morning to airport. I had dinner at the hotel Hotel need some renovation
Calm. Decoration. History (birthplace of Louis XIV). Restaurant closed in August
Lovely room and view Very expensive, €16 for a poor continental breakfast.
the lovely views, the helpful and courteous staff, and great food and stylish comfortable rooms.
surroundings, view, spacious rooms, parking limited service (lobby, terrace)
I liked everything...
The place is really beautiful, the flowers, the restaurant, the toilet products. The hotel could be renewed. Sunday morning there was a tennis tournment next to the hotel and we were woken up by the noise.
The restaurant was very good It was expensive for the amenities. trying to be more upmarket than it warranted
Good location, well appointed rooms, very quiet
We arrived quite late to the hotel for a night en route to Normandy from Alsace. The atmosphere of this small countryside maison with a luxury gourmet restaurant is very good, and its staff was friendly especially at dinner where despite being after formal closure hours, still offered us simpler dishes. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable, and also of good size. The hotel's location is good to explore nearby small villages just outside Paris, including lovely St-Germain-en-Laye. It really lived up to its reputation as a member of the Relais&Chateaux Hotel. Would not mention negatives as we did not come across any. However, coming through the Paris road network, this was the hotel most difficult and lengthy to find (but only until you do not reach St.-Germain) even late night. Use of GPS or very good map is recommended unless you are an insider to Paris traffic. We did not have breakfast here so cannot comment on that.
We had a beautiful meal in amazing garden with fantastic wines. The wine list had great range of half bottles at great prices. The price of breakfast
the location and its grounds are the only good things i can say about this hotel the restaurant was bad the food over priced and the staff not pleasant
Quite environment, reminds us of our mountains in Lebanon Passages to the room
Excellent ambience - good location - friendly, attentive, helpful staff Bed a bit hard
Nice hotel but restaurant closed on mondays. and no tea or coffee making facilities available in the rooms
Good location in a nice suburb. Friendly reception staff. Ideal for an overnight stop.
very quiet and peaceful; excellent car park; convenient for statio no hair dryer: only one beaker in bathroom (double room)
Great location - only 20 minutes from the centre of Paris with trains every few minutes. Hotel only 10 minutes from the station.
The location was perfect for a visit to Maisons Laffitte. The value was right, and the bar/breakfast service was ok.
Breakfast well maintained and good quality - value for money. Very helpful staff - good English spoken - prepared to provide dirniks at most times.
Parking for large van was good food excellent close to town if you need anything
lack of air conditioning made it very uncomfortable
The location of the hotel is very convenient for visiting Paris without having to pay city centre rates. Maisons Laffitte is a very charming suburb. There was no air conditioning in the room and it seemed very stuffy. The breakfast was not very high quality.
effective staff Very hot in the room -thick quilt for the time of the year-
Room was ok, but bathroom was really cold and there was not heater
the only thing was fresh air and sorrounding nature (forest etc...) lack of electric cordless kettle in the room, shared showers, lack of pub/bar to get a drink in the evening or to eat some dinner, non-european type of breakfest, only jam, coffee, tea typical French way, no meat, nothing warm like sausages/hot dogs/mashed eggs ...., no wi-fi coverage in my room (3rd floor)
cleanliness, calm, environment not an hotel actually: it's a senior residency for elderly people which proposes a few rooms for visitors from the outside
Rooms very clean, personnell very friendly, restaurant very good Very difficult to find, GPS coordinates on booking.com incorrect. IN fact the castel has been split up in 3 parts: 1 part is a home for the elderly, 1 part is for personal use and the third part is the hotel!! The neighborhood is a bit scary.
Excellent location with stunning views and good location for Paris and of course St Germain en laye. Good forest walks too Lack of service, run more on military lines, possibly just teething problems having been a retirement home. At breakfast we were left on our own with no-one in sight unless they were clearing tables at 9.30am sharpe. Would not recommend dinner at the hotel.
Very nice coutry side and former royal residence. Well kept. If you like a military life, this a hotel for you. Nice rooms with nests of insects, no reception with hall, no lobby bar, restaurant open ONLY for reservation 10 hours before (!!!), the gate closes at 9 PM, you can get in with a code but the car remains outside in the woods. Have nice stay there....
This was great value for money don't worry about the shared shower it is facing the rooms very spacious and claen and saves you a bit of cash would highly recommmend. hotel is in a fantastic setting.
Very good quality, modern and clean, very quiet just next to the Golf Courts. The staff is very friendly and proffessional. Ideal Hotel to stay and go to visit Paris (La Défense is only 15 min by car, good parking there and continue by RER/Metro ) and 35 minutes from the famous monet museum in Vernon.
Very clean room, excellent value, good location, nice open space around hotel Bathroom shower, designed for handicapped guests, somewhat messy (showers all over the floor)
The staff were very friendly and the evening meal we had was excellent. The room we were in was used by smokers and the smell of stale tobacco was not pleasant. We asked for a non-smoking room. I would suggest that all rooms become non-smoking to avoid this.
The updated rooms and restaurant were a nice change, clean and modern and very comfortable. It would be nice if all of the Campanile Hotels were newly updated.
A little more expensive than others, but well worth it. Excellent restaurant and certainly the best Campanile I have ever stayed at.
Cleanliness of rooms. Breakfast. Cooked food is very poor. Bedroom air conditioning was very ineffective.
Staff were exceptionally friendly. Rooms spotlessly clean - it's a relativly new hotel. Motel style, with outside corridors. Quiet. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the meal. Good value, good choice breakfast buffet. No hairdryer in room. Location is a bit isolated, but it suited us as a stop en route to Versailles. I would have absolutely no hesitation staying there again.
silent, quite, confortable, good cousine and friendly staff, realy close to main road for Paris and industrial suburbia, so at least really ideal for business trip with a free time on disposal!!
Great place :)
Free and good internet, free parking, renewed rooms. The breakfast is a quite expensive for me.
The two roomed appartment was spacious, airy and comfortable. Close to railway station for Paris and bus for St Germain. Near a good supermarket and bread shop. Lack of utensils eg no scissors. There was a coffee machine but no filters. Poor quality cutlery non matching cutlery.
Exceptionally clean spartan rooms. Good budget option compared to most. Location is poor. It is not in St Germain but a few miles outside in a dormitory suburb. Only one nearby Chinese restaurant. This hotel is aimed at longer term student/business travellers who will use the kitchenette facilities in each room.
excellent accomodation and parking. security was excellent, also a laundry room which was very handy
Loved homely atmosphere No bad points
clean apartment, located 1 block from my company's subsidiary in France. thin walls meant I could hear the neighbors. not so much that i could not sleep, but it was noticeable.
The room was clean. I like this hotel.Apartment type is confotable. Nobody was in reception after 6. It was far from Paris center.
Very frech rooms and balcony. Good and big bathroom, no noise from other rooms The water going from the shower on the floor, and comes out to another room, so the floor have wrong angle, and that destroy good apartment in the future. I don`t find any tool to get the water back to the shower again, so it takes long time dry it upp with towels.
The hotel is clean, a lot of space. The staff is friendly and helpful, whenever there is a need. Compared to the general high price for accommodation in Paris, the cost of this hotel is reasonable. The confirmation we got indicated clearly that the check in time is 8- 20:00, no exception for Sunday. However, the hotel called us asking us to arrival between 19:00 – 20:00. When we arrived at 17:30, we waited. However, at 19:30, there was still nobody at the reception. We had to call a number and waited some more. Despite the “Free internet” indicated in the booking form, the internet connection was troublesome. The internet provider would only send password & code to a French mobile number. It was difficult and costly for us having to call the provider every day, sometimes having to hold the telephone 15-30 minutes due to language barrier or technical difficulties.
the location and quiet place there were no towels in the bathroom, and the difficulty to enter and open the door at night, but if they were for the safety reasons, no problem.
Simple equipment, but sufficient for short term stay.
The manager was very helpful and assisted with everything we needed, including using his printer. Rooms were very clean. Definitely a budget hotel, you can have cheaper rooms if you share a bathroom or pay a little more and have you private bathroom. Its not luxury which is obvious from the price but its very clean and in a residential neighborhood with a few restaurants around it. Perhaps the distance from Paris is a bit far but its a straight short on the RER A to right in front of the hotel. Rooms are very tiny but it suited our needs. Would definitely stay again.
This is a two star hotel and as such it is basic but although simple are clean and all work. in additon the owner is really helpfull, the location is special, it offers really graet vale for money and finally there is free parking which is often so important.
The kindness of the staff was wonderful. I was moving to France for my first job out of college, and I had to stay here while I was arranging for my apartment. It was very close to the RER station, too. And this hotel was very affordable compared to others in the region.
It was a clean, quiet, and attractive apartment with adequate sleeping arrangements for the 4 of us; complete with fridge, cooker, and sufficient crockery / cutlery. Pleasant view overlooking the courtyard.
Basic apartments hotel at Paris suburbs close to Verssillle. The apartment was clean and has in addirtion to thw toilets and bath room a small kitchen with refrigerator, electric stove and microwave. The rooms were very small so the space in the apartment wasn't much more than a family hotel room. There was no air condtioning in the hotel . It was hard to find a parking spot next to the hotel.
Shower curtain was too short, hence water spilled all over the bathroom
Hotel location was good for visiting Giverny and access to Poissy train station. Price was reasonable if all advertised facilities were available. Booked double room only twin available and booked parking however none was available. The bed in our room had been put together incorrectly and had a 10cm difference between left and right. On the second night we had no hot water in the apartment and as the desk was unattended we couldn't get it addressed until 7.30 next morning. The web site indicated parking, however on site parking was only available for owners and insufficient to cater for hotel users. Staff were blunt and unhelpful. Not the best hotel stay over our 3 weeks.
The studio is very comfortable and spacious; a little bit far from Paris but once you get used to the public transportation it's very easy to go downtown; quiet and safe area; Poissy is very nice.
big advantage is a well-equipped kitchenette and microwave
Nice apartment clean Poor communication or contact with the hotel. If a guest had not helped us we would not have gotten in.
The place is just ok They could not provide extra blankets! Their rules say that they would charge additionally to clean the kitchennette. What is this place an apartment hotel or youth hostel?
Apartments are very well situated, just 5 minutes walk across the Seine river bridge from the Poissy train station (20 minutes to Paris St.Lazare with scnf train). Our room was facing main road but it was still very quiet when the windows are closed, no noise at all. The breakfast was available on site (for 7.50 Euro extra), but I would not recommend it, selection is very small and nothing warm.
Use of a small kitchen
Very peaceful place with a terrasse facing the river at 20 km from Paris. Good value for money when taking the dinner/room/breakfast package
Excellent service and great food. Very friendly staff. Shame the air-conditioning wasn't working.
The hotel staff was very friendly and the room was a fantastically French, with a nice, old, huge squeaky bed and beautiful wooden furnishings.
