Excellent service when we had a difficult booking experience. Friendly and attentive staff The hotel is a little tired and could do with some painting and updating in the social areas.
The hotel, room and food were fabulous and sited well for the surrounding area. Although we considered we had excellent value for money it seemed that our 'package price' for half board (3 nights), through booking.com, was actually the room only price, the hotel did however honour our package price. The hotel would have been very expensive if a package price had not been available.
We thought the meals were excellent. The Hotel had an indoor and outside pool which was nice for our children.
Astonishing old manor house in a beautiful garden. Charming room, comfortable bed, absolutely silent - we really slept well here. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a little bit too expensive as there was nothing special about it.
The care and attention given by all the staff was exceptionally good. We were supposed to be staying in an attic room but as soon as we walked in ,Madame noticed that my husband is tall so she upgraded us. We stayed for 4 nights and slept in 3 different rooms and the staff moved all our belongings and clothes for us, so it was no trouble to us. All rooms lovely. The food was also really good
perfect ambiance, perfect service and perfect food
Though it is a lovely hotel and the staff were very helpful, our stay was spoilt by the fact that a film shoot that was being done there had overrun. This meant we could not check in on time and parking was very awkward. The clean up from the shoot was still underway when we had breakfast the next morning and then left.We had not received any notice of this situation. However we were given an upgrade and a very modest price reduction for the inconvenience.
The owners were very welcoming, friendly and provided lots of advice about local attractions. Table d'hote meals were very enjoyable and gave the opportunity to engage with the other guests, and sample the local cider, calvados and cheese.
Very friendly, warm welcome on arrival. Accomodation full of character in lovely countryside. The owners were very helpful giving lots of information on local places of interest for us to visit. None.
This second visit to La Ferme Saint Nicolas was as good as the first if not better as we had superb dinners in the evening this time. Our hosts were charming and friendly.
The hospitality and friendliness of the owners was great and the fact that English was spoken if necessary was extremely useful. The accommadation clean, comfortable and unique. As a centre to explore the area this hotel is in a great position for both countryside and seaside.
Very quiet setting. Owners of the inn asked if we'd like to stay for dinner for 20 Euros a person. Good meal and good value. Owner ate with us, as did others who were staying for the night. Very cute cottage with two separate bedrooms and a futon that comfortably slept 6 people. Cozy setting. Glad we stayed here. A really intimate feel.
Very good breakfasts and a very nice dinner for additional payment. Very friendly owners. Excellent environment - clean air and picturesgue surroundings in a village style. Interesting room decoration. Maybe, it would be better to improve a little heating system in a room. It was a bit unusual to do everything very quickly not to be frozen in the evenings.:)))
Excellent service - Stayed overnight on the way to Calais with Family. We checked in late and requested an early breakfast. Breakfast was therefore provided in our room and was excellent. The room actually turned out to be a small gite with 2 bedrooms, lounge/diner & kitchen etc, with a rural outlook onto a farm. Would highly recommend for anyone travelling with a young family - Watch out for the turkey though!!!!!
The courtesy and warmth of the owners, the food, both at breakfast and dinner (when possible), the quietness of the location, the size of the family suite.
Much has been said about the breakfast, and it is all true! We didn't try the evening dinners, but heard very positive things about that from other guests as well. The location is quiet and very nice with the animals on the grounds of the farm. Nice places like Etretat and Honfleur are within easy reach, and other places like Le Mont St Michel are just a 2 hour drive away. The room was simple, but the bed very comfortable. The owners do everything they can to make your stay a pleasant one.
The family atmosphere our hosts created amongst the international guests at meal times was a delight and the quality of the breakfast and dinner menus was outstanding.
the cleanliness of the room, the welcome of the owner, the nearness to the town and motorway network.
Spotlessly clean, with new furniture, comfortable bed and a good-sized bathroom. It's a 3 minute drive away from the charming Honfleur touristic centre (where parking costs just €3 per day). I'd also very much recommend the generous breakfast. Staff was very welcoming and bicycles are provided for free. All in all, this hotel is extremely good value for money and we definitely would go again.
Excellent breakfast, with lots of variety and choice
Very nice Motel good decoration inside and out, good parking helpful and friendly staff, excellent value made us very welcome, we will certainly return.
Comfortable night's sleep
Le professionalisme du proprio. L'acceuil. La grandeur de la chambre. La propreté. Le petit déjeuner. De loin le meilleur qualité-rapport prix. Le fait de pouvoir garer la voiture directement à la porte de la chambre. Les vélos de haute qualité. Most professional owner. - The atmosphere. Space of room. Cleanness. Best deal for our money. Park the car right at the door of the room. Bicycles.
the welcome and friendliness of the manager and staff
very helpful manager-clean modern room
Very friendly welcome, English spoken well.
The hotel owners were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Generously offered to drive me to and from town (unsolicited). Very comfortable speaking English. Rooms are good-sized, well-lit, and tile floors throughout give room clean, fresh feel. Special touches like towel warming rack, WiFi internet access, and a small table and chairs outside each room so guests can enjoy the beautiful gardens.
This hotel is outstanding. It is expensive, but you get personalised service and attention in return. The restaurant is outstanding. This is a place you should go to if you can forget the price of things. Old fashioned quality, style and personal attention. No spcific comments
The hotel was delightful - the reception staff were exceptional. The fact that parking was available was also helpful. We enjoyed our time there. We thought the prices in the restaurant steep.
Location and beauty of the hotel Breakfast expensive
perfect location, friendly staff
The room and location There was a family next door to us with 5 kids running around all night. Odd for this type of establishment.
Its closeness to everything that matters in honfleur The hotel staff were first rate
The hotel location is near the harbor where all the action is taking place. The room is well aquipped and comfortable.
friendly staff and good service, well positioned for Honfluer centre with good car parking facilities.
Clean,Comfortable.Superb position.Excellent breakfast.Secure Parking worth the reassurance at 10euro.Front room overlooking outer harbour.Efficient lift.
The hotel enjoys a good location for the centre of Honfleur and has good facilities in the room as well asthe hotel in general. The breakfasts were excellent value for money.
close proximity to the town
Easy to locate on road into town but not far from centre. Tea and coffee available in room. Handy parking.
Good position, just 5 minutes walk to the old harbour where there are a wide selection of restaurants, bars etc. which serve both evening meals and breakfasts. Rooms were absolutely fine. Rooms at the front are noisy due to traffic. Not clear that there was secure parking to the rear of the hotel but the public car park just over the road was fine.
Friendly staff, good location Parking was not included and needed to be paid for by the day
Close to town centre
Breakfast was good. Puzzled about poor reviews on this point. Parking easy; pleasant surroundings. Well maintained. Our 2nd visit. While there was a shower over the bath, this had to be hand-held due to lack of shower screen.
Room was cold, towels too small, Grim location near industrial estate. Breakfast expensive
The staff was friendly and helpfull and the rooms were very tidy
Unfriendly and unhelpful staff; Not impressed with the hotel room's cleanliness; The setup of the duplex was not comfortable as there were no chairs to set in only beds.
The helpful staff. In our room, there was a dormer which I had to duck each time I went to my twin bed. This was not the best situation.
Free Car Park and Location from Town Centre Cold Pool, No Tea making facility in room. Poor shower facility, No Mirror in room. Poor lighting over bed for reading.
Pleasant and helpful staff, rooms were very comfortable and location is good for discovering Normandy and Honfluer Hotel only does breakfast, no restaurant
Pleasantly surprised by our room and the maid service. It was also easily accessible from the main road. Disappointed by the decor of the lobby, and the spa was quite limited. Website makes the hotel look more modern than it is.
The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly!! We had some car trouble and the staff called the rental company for us and had the issue solved. The staff also recommended a wonderful restaurant that we walked to while our car was attended to. The breakfast was quite nice and the lobby was great for relaxing in.
Nice view of Pont de Normandie. Good pool. Convivial.
we have stopped here now 3 times over a 10 year period we were wowed on every occassion, just superb NONE
Excellent food, excellent staff. Our room with lounge area quiet with lovely outlook. Would have been nice to have a shower as well as bath.
This was an overnight stop on our way to Northern Brittany. As such it was an excellent choice with a good restaurant and friendly, helpful staff. It is impossible to answer the "classification" question above but there was nothing we didn't like about this hotel.
The hotel was quiet and pleasantly situated, convenient for Honfleur...It had no personality but was on the whole a pleasant place to stay. The furnishings and decor in the bedrooms would benefit from modernization and the stairs and halways need better lighting
Room quite small and smelt of smoke (despite requesting a non-smoking room). Breakfast overpriced at 9 euros.
Excellent postion within 5 minutes walk to centre plus parking at hotel.
Good, clean room, probably a bit too small Excellent breakfast in the beautiful patio room Great historic interiors, lots of original furniture and art Very good, friendly and efficient service Very good location Can't say there were anything we didn't like
Steep stairs up to bedroom and head-banging beams
Really great location, safe parking, wonderful setting and very characterful. Staff were very pleasant and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The breakfast was expensive and poor. We walked to the harbour area the next day and had a far better breakfast for half the price.
Convenient Location and friendly servicre
the building is typical french with lots of original features. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
location to town and ease of parking
Our host and the entire staff were so welcoming, and the Hotel was a work of art. The art work and beautiful buildings were ourstanding and the location was a short walk from the center of the city. Free parking was a plus after spending $45 a night to park our car in Paris. We really enjoyed this hotel.
Nice big room, helpful personnel. (I booked the "Double Room" for 2 Nights, pls correct info below)
The fabulous bathroom Lack of evening meals
We messed up our booking and the staff were very accomodating Not very comfortable
The pleasant welcome we received from your staff. The room smelt of smoke when we arrived. I realise this is as much a problem of your other guests.
Easy to find, convenient stopover. Comfy, clean, just what we wanted.
Easy to find. Clean. Pleasant staff. Very uncomfortable beds. Didn't seem to be much for breakfast - there were 5 of us and we paid 40 euros for a roll and drink each.
Comfortable, friendly, excellent breakfast. Restaurant closed on a Weds and long drive to nearest one. No tea/coffee in room
Given we were only staying one night, the helpful and pleasant attitude of the staff and the excellent self-service breakfast
Good reception service Restaurants and Bars Breakfast is served from 07:00 until 10:00. Dinner is served from 19:30 until 21:00. is the description included on the web site. This is not the case and we booked specifically to avail ourselves of this facility.
clean, quiet and polite friendly staff. The restaurant is closed during August to "solo" visitors as the hotel and facilities are taken over by coaches and tourist groups. The web site should have known this.Price was a little high without B/fst.
Wonderful comfortable beds. Friendly welcome.
Noisy exhaust fan in bathroom.
Friendly helpful staff. On site restaurant.
The breakfast was excellent (price 9 Euros) This is not a hotel, it's a motel. In other words, the bedroom door and window gives direct access to the "garden" or the parking lot. We booked a triple room for 3 adults but received a small twin room. After complaining we were told that there was a third small bed that had to be retrieved from under the other two beds. The room was not large enough to hold 3 beds so the third bed blocked the whole room. The twin beds were based on clean comforter but the third bed had an old blanket and was far from attractive to spend a night in. The amenities and towels were only provisioned for 2 persons. We also booked an additional double room and the bathroom wall was sticky and dirty.
Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Good food served in the restaurant.
Nothing Room size awful, not much bigger than a prison cell and three beds packed into it.Breakfast area too confined and for 6,50 euros for cheese-marmalade and bread a rip off,but hence I suppose you get what you pay for.
Location, restuarant, staff friendly and helpful, rooms good and well appointed and parking free. easy access and close to Honfleur centre No bar so after a long drive had to wait to gey abeer with my meal
The position. A little run down.
beautiful location and very peaceful, value for money limited choice of menu
Close to my appointment venue
We visited Honfleur and it was easy to come there and park in the city. We only slept and had breakfast. That was excellent. no
Their cancellation policy as I had to cancel a return visit because of flu. No compassion at a time of anxiety.
Very helpful in changing room to one on ground floor. Good food. Exceptionally good bathroom with our room. Pleasant aspect. Friendly.
Very calm and senior people is everywhere. This hotel written "DOG FRIENDLY", in fact they accept the dog, but they are NOT welcoming the dog, even though dog friendly is only interesting in me,...
Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and would recommend it to others. The only thing we didn't like was the cost of the breakfast. It wasn't worth 17 Euros each.
A beautiful medieval hotel. Sympathetically refurbished to its original state. Reception staff very helpful and spoke good English. Food of high standard and worthy of a luxury hotel. Location overlooked the Estuary and the view across was of the oil refinery. Too far out of Honfleur for walking when only staying for one night.
Indoor pool We were not told restaurant has to be booked in advance, which meant that we had to eat out, two of our three nights at the hotel!
Very roomy and clean and lovely Bathroom Nothing to dislike
The room was good and the hotel was clean and nicely decorated The staff were not helpful, nor could they book us into the restaurant or treatments in the Spa despite booking a superior room for 2 nights.
The room. No porter to help woth baggage
location staff rather unhelpful almost rude
Overall high quality for a 3 star. Restaurant choice too limited.
Location, position, ambience, service Absolutely nothing - couldn't fault the service, accommodation or the food
Beautifully appointed hotel. Lovely decor and service excellent. Not able to have a bath as the bath plug did not work. In the hotel bar the spirits were greatly overpriced, particularly brandy.
The room was nice, large and comfortable. The hotel is situated in calm place. The parking area is large. Wi-fi free of charge. You have to understand that for all activities, restaurants, beach you will go to Deauville or to Honfleur. It's better to have a car or pay to taxi 25-30 Euro in one side.
Friendly staff, lovely village, fantastic restaurant only 200 meters away. Quiet place for a getaway. brand new furnishing.
The tranquility, the swimming pool, There was a dog in the neighbouring garden which barked all afternoon when we first arrived. The breakfast was rather expensive
The setting is tranquil and the village is very picturesque. The hotel is rather expensive: it has no restaurant, a very limited bar facility, no safe parking. The room we were shown into on arrival had not been serviced. The young assistant was confused. We were upgraded. I am not sure how easily the situation would have been resolved had I not been fluent in french.
The ambience was peaceful, rural, luxurious. We were to have stayed in the room called "Paris" but the aircon did not work, so we were upgraded to "New York." We did not ask for this, the concierge insisted. Both rooms were lovely, "New York" was especially luxurious. We enjoyed the terrace with its loungers and the jacuzzi and the decor. Although evening meal was not on offer, it was only a short and pleasant walk to a good restaurant, booked for us by the hotel. When paying the bill, we realised that it was a good idea to take a print-out of one's booking. We had a bargain! I was unjustifiably concerned that as the car park was not visible from the hotel, it was vulnerable. But the village of Jumieges is not like that, I am sure!
The overall experience is outstanding
luxurious room and nice surroundings
Extreme courtesy of all the staff. Willingness of staff to accommodate changes to arrangements. Location in very pleasant countryside.
I loved the room they all have a theme. The hotel is very pretty. Staff is friendly. Pity there is now restaurant. The breakfast is ok but expensive. If you ad the breakfast for two people and the room price it is a little over the top.
It was the best and available hotel Car parking is not convenient, maintenance glitches in the room, light bulb, bath tub not emptying, shower hanging loose, can't fix its position. At time of making reservation it is not clear that the rooms are in various houses on the premises. No restaurant.
Peaceful and in the real french countryside.
Clean hotel in a nice setting No choice evening meals , breakfast poor , no lounge / no bar to relax in
The location was lovely the hotel was rustic but smart. Staff helpful and my dog was welcomed. Lovely walks and the area was super.
Pleasant surroundings and lovely garden with stream and ponds. Hotel was rustic and recently renovated and was in good condition. Our room was so small . no space even for a bedside table. Resteraunt doesn't have enough space to accomodate all guests for dinner so we didn't eat there.
Very nice scenery and relaxing atmosphere NO
We made to feel at home in beautiful surroundings.
Very stylish and big room with great bathroom. Very good breakfast. Big garden with small ponds and fountains - fantastic place for relaxation.
Staff, comfort, food
The gardens, peaceful, relaxing.Proximity to Honfleur,Deauville.Breakfast very good.Lovely looking auberge. Room very basic.British TV didn't work.Dinner set menu and expensive. Can't get a meal unless you book. No tea or coffee in bedroom.
Friendliness of staff. very nice garden. No choice of Menu for Dinner. Bathroom rather small.
Magnificent, stylish hotel. All in a country house. Very nice, cozy and cute. Excellent facilities. 10 minutes drive to Honfleur.
The staff very friendly and helpfull the duplex bedrooms great travelling with husband and two teenage sons plenty of room.
Central location. Easy parking. Friendly staff.
One of the only hotels in Honfleur with a lift which was a prerequisite as I was with my grandmother (90yrs). Hotel was also nice as it is central, so not a lot of walking for her. Staff was fine, hotel was clean. It was quite ordinary. Nothing to write home about.
They're very friendly, clean rooms and no administrative problems No free parking space available
Friendly Staff Thought it was a bit expensive
Close to the town No bar although you could buy drinks at reception
Central Location. Good car parking adjacent to hotel. Attentive staff. Clean, basic accomodation.
IT WAS VERY CONVENIENT FOR TOWN FACILITIES IT WAS VERY NOISY -WE FOUND IT DIFFICULLT TO SLEEP. THE ROOMS WERE WARM AND THERE DID NOT APPEAR TO BE ANY AIR CONDITIONING IN THESE. IF THERE WAS WE WOULD HAVE USED IT AND SHUT THE WINDOWS TO KEEP OUT THE NOISE.
The staff were pleasant and helpful, the room was comfortable and reasonably spacious, and the hotel was well placed close to the centre of Honfleur. The price for breakfast was a bit high (we tended to go round the corner to breakfast at half the price) and the hotel could do with a proper bar/lounge.
close to the shops and restaurants
The hotel was very pretty/charming, several hundred years old, and in a beautiful historic town by the seaside. Breakfast was good. The service was indifferent
Free internet. Computer available. Nice ambiance. Clean and beautiful decorated rooms.
we loved our room and the hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating.
We liked the tasteful and elegant decoration, the simple breakfast featuring some local products, and the location. The staff members were kind, helpful, and courteous.
location was excellent for all the shops etc The disconnect between the hotel and the 2nd suites across the road where we stayed was annoying. It didn't actually feel like we were staying in a hotel. Also the stairs were very steep and tricky and the sofa bed very uncomfortable for 2 people.
Very charming, very romantic , very very french, perfect location. We are dreaming to come again and of course will recommend this hotel to our friends. Nothing - everything was the best.
Excellent location, comfortable room, luxurious bathroom and beautiful decoration. Breakfast is very expensive. The early morning noise in the square is disturbing - but not much you can do to control this!
Very special maison in the heart of Honfleur! We were detained due to a French labor action and called ahead. The proprietor made dinner reservations for us due to our very late arrival. A wonderful service that that we very much appreciated. We would return whenever in the general area.
The decoration of our suite. Lack of parking
