The hotel was quiet and pleasantly situated, convenient for Honfleur...It had no personality but was on the whole a pleasant place to stay. The furnishings and decor in the bedrooms would benefit from modernization and the stairs and halways need better lighting
Excellent food, excellent staff. Our room with lounge area quiet with lovely outlook. Would have been nice to have a shower as well as bath.
Room quite small and smelt of smoke (despite requesting a non-smoking room). Breakfast overpriced at 9 euros.
This was an overnight stop on our way to Northern Brittany. As such it was an excellent choice with a good restaurant and friendly, helpful staff. It is impossible to answer the "classification" question above but there was nothing we didn't like about this hotel.
we have stopped here now 3 times over a 10 year period we were wowed on every occassion, just superb NONE
Good location, just outside from the bustling city centre. Apartment was brand new, clean and the kids could play in the back garden. It also had a swimming pool and breakfast if you preferred. Nothing bad.
Found facilitues weregood and room confortable and clean also good value for the breakfast inclusive. Arrived in the dark found that entrance was a bit difficult to see from the road, feel that illumination at the entrance could be better
The rooms, clean and new The opening times of the reception. We couldnt get WIFI until the next day
The room and bathroom were very clean. The staff were very polite. Excellent value for money. Even the breakfast was good. There was plenty and good variety of foods. Location is difficult to find. New street and GPS could not locate it. Should have a sign at least. Went passed it twice. No sign to indicate hotel name.
Good price very clean pretty garden with 2bd apartment nice position
Handy location for the coast No english spoken and not on the satnav so not too easy to find.still under construction but our room was fine.
it was great value for money and clean and comfortable
Rather on the expensive side taking into consideration how basic it is and you have to clean it before you leave (as it is classified as the apartment). No cleaning products were provided at all !
price room really dirty
Despite the obvious teething problems, the staff did their best to solve them. The location is good and once the building works are complete, it should be a fine place to visit - if they had been done before opening, we would be recommending the place now. The English translation of the website indicates that there are 2 bedroom rooms currently available - there are actually studio or 1 bed apartments. The electrics weren't complete - totally safe, just not working - and the shower room floor wasn't angled properly to drain. There are no steps into the pool and the advertised children's play area does not exist. The reception area doesn't open til 9 a.m., which is very inconvenient for an early start.
Nothing Room size awful, not much bigger than a prison cell and three beds packed into it.Breakfast area too confined and for 6,50 euros for cheese-marmalade and bread a rip off,but hence I suppose you get what you pay for.
Location, restuarant, staff friendly and helpful, rooms good and well appointed and parking free. easy access and close to Honfleur centre No bar so after a long drive had to wait to gey abeer with my meal
We visited Honfleur and it was easy to come there and park in the city. We only slept and had breakfast. That was excellent. no
The position. A little run down.
The breakfast was excellent (price 9 Euros) This is not a hotel, it's a motel. In other words, the bedroom door and window gives direct access to the "garden" or the parking lot. We booked a triple room for 3 adults but received a small twin room. After complaining we were told that there was a third small bed that had to be retrieved from under the other two beds. The room was not large enough to hold 3 beds so the third bed blocked the whole room. The twin beds were based on clean comforter but the third bed had an old blanket and was far from attractive to spend a night in. The amenities and towels were only provisioned for 2 persons. We also booked an additional double room and the bathroom wall was sticky and dirty.
Friendly helpful staff. On site restaurant.
Close to my appointment venue
beautiful location and very peaceful, value for money limited choice of menu
Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Good food served in the restaurant.
Pleasant surroundings and lovely garden with stream and ponds. Hotel was rustic and recently renovated and was in good condition. Our room was so small . no space even for a bedside table. Resteraunt doesn't have enough space to accomodate all guests for dinner so we didn't eat there.
We made to feel at home in beautiful surroundings.
The gardens, peaceful, relaxing.Proximity to Honfleur,Deauville.Breakfast very good.Lovely looking auberge. Room very basic.British TV didn't work.Dinner set menu and expensive. Can't get a meal unless you book. No tea or coffee in bedroom.
Magnificent, stylish hotel. All in a country house. Very nice, cozy and cute. Excellent facilities. 10 minutes drive to Honfleur.
Very stylish and big room with great bathroom. Very good breakfast. Big garden with small ponds and fountains - fantastic place for relaxation.
Clean hotel in a nice setting No choice evening meals , breakfast poor , no lounge / no bar to relax in
Friendliness of staff. very nice garden. No choice of Menu for Dinner. Bathroom rather small.
Staff, comfort, food
The location was lovely the hotel was rustic but smart. Staff helpful and my dog was welcomed. Lovely walks and the area was super.
Very nice scenery and relaxing atmosphere NO
Very nice Motel good decoration inside and out, good parking helpful and friendly staff, excellent value made us very welcome, we will certainly return.
The hotel owners were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Generously offered to drive me to and from town (unsolicited). Very comfortable speaking English. Rooms are good-sized, well-lit, and tile floors throughout give room clean, fresh feel. Special touches like towel warming rack, WiFi internet access, and a small table and chairs outside each room so guests can enjoy the beautiful gardens.
Excellent breakfast, with lots of variety and choice
Comfortable night's sleep
Spotlessly clean, with new furniture, comfortable bed and a good-sized bathroom. It's a 3 minute drive away from the charming Honfleur touristic centre (where parking costs just €3 per day). I'd also very much recommend the generous breakfast. Staff was very welcoming and bicycles are provided for free. All in all, this hotel is extremely good value for money and we definitely would go again.
the welcome and friendliness of the manager and staff
Le professionalisme du proprio. L'acceuil. La grandeur de la chambre. La propreté. Le petit déjeuner. De loin le meilleur qualité-rapport prix. Le fait de pouvoir garer la voiture directement à la porte de la chambre. Les vélos de haute qualité. Most professional owner. - The atmosphere. Space of room. Cleanness. Best deal for our money. Park the car right at the door of the room. Bicycles.
very helpful manager-clean modern room
the cleanliness of the room, the welcome of the owner, the nearness to the town and motorway network.
Very friendly welcome, English spoken well.
Very good breakfast. Good access to the town and to through routes whilst, at the same time, quiet location with good parking. Good as an overnight stop on the way to and from Channel ports. Just round the corner from famous Calvados producer with free guided visits and tastings. 'Interesting' room arrangement resulting from the incorporation of en-suite facilities into what had been a not terribly big bedroom originally.
Ideal location for an overnight stay enroute to destination in Maine et Loire, good standard of room, nice decoration and cleanliness. Staff pleasant and efficient.Good for acess to local town and restaurants, nice shops. Will definitely use it again Rooom quite small, so good for one or two nights only, bathroom toilet facility also quite small.Window at front opened on to corridor so difficult to leave open, rear window looked on to back view of hotel, not attractive.
Countryside lovely. Convenient parking. Pleasant(ish) staff. Shower did not work - the "switch" to shower kept reversing. Bath absolutely tiny and impossible to lie in and soak. Because shower not working I tried to wash hair in bath but almost impossible to submerge in such an absolutely tiny bath - more like a basin than a bath. No hairdryer. Very expensive menu. Window in room too high to look out of. Felt claustrophobic.
A very comprehensive breakfast and attentive staff, did not eat dinner in the reasturant but judging from the breakfast, and the people coming to the hotel to eat I have no doubt it would have been exceptional. Was led to believe there was a garden over looking stream this was not so, but could have very easily been achieved , instead the bins had the best view
we had been there last year and wanted to go back with friends; we enjoyed the surroundings and it's like being home in the hotel there were works going on, but it did not really disturb our stay; it's kind of dark inside; last time it was summer and we could stay on the terrace
Restaurant was excellent both for breakfast & for evening meal. The various menus of the day in particular were excellent value for money, although not cheap, ranging from 31 to 75 Euros per person. Wine list was huge, ranging from the very expensive to surprisingly good quality rose' & white at around 25 Euros per bottle or less. Outside pool area looked very attractive, though this was not in use during our visit in October. All staff were friendly & helpful and menus were offered in English - a real bonus, with such a huge range and quality of food on offer. Very enjoyable overnight stop, with exceptional dining on offer. Bar prices were excessive in my opinion, particularly for beer, although cocktails on offer looked fair value for money. The standard double room was small & the bathroom tiny, although everything was clean & well presented and it was more than adequate for a one night stay. The cost of upgrade to a better standard of room seemed high?
the standard of vthe main courses at diner not of an expected standard
The ground floor chalet rooms no
Incredible staff, waited for us until late, fulfilling all our needs: iron and a marvelous salad (foie gras/duck) plus few complimentary plates! Excellent place to stay.
Good service & atmosphere, good facilities (esp. swimming pools & jacuzzi). Quality of food was good also.
Helpful friendly staff, especially with problem of item left behind. Honest and efficient over return of item.
The setting is great; the masseur was wonderful; the area is beautiful and the hotel very convenient to Honfleur and the coast. The swimming pools are an asset, especially having an indoor one incase the weather is bad. Our rooms were tiny and not at all what I expected, very down market for the price. The staff were missing most of the time and very disinterested in the restaurant apart from the barman who tried hard and the women in reception were not particularly warm or welcoming
close proximity to the town
Clean,Comfortable.Superb position.Excellent breakfast.Secure Parking worth the reassurance at 10euro.Front room overlooking outer harbour.Efficient lift.
Friendly staff, good location Parking was not included and needed to be paid for by the day
Good position, just 5 minutes walk to the old harbour where there are a wide selection of restaurants, bars etc. which serve both evening meals and breakfasts. Rooms were absolutely fine. Rooms at the front are noisy due to traffic. Not clear that there was secure parking to the rear of the hotel but the public car park just over the road was fine.
The hotel location is near the harbor where all the action is taking place. The room is well aquipped and comfortable.
Easy to locate on road into town but not far from centre. Tea and coffee available in room. Handy parking.
friendly staff and good service, well positioned for Honfluer centre with good car parking facilities.
Close to town centre
The hotel enjoys a good location for the centre of Honfleur and has good facilities in the room as well asthe hotel in general. The breakfasts were excellent value for money.
Its closeness to everything that matters in honfleur The hotel staff were first rate
Great location, quite area, away from the noise when you tired and would love a good night sleep Absence of tee or coffee favilities in your room for the price paid-82EU per night
The location is within easy walking distance of St Catherine's and the Old Port, the room we stayed in was large and the bed I slept in was the most comfortable I've found (so far) in France! The pillows were firm - just as I like them! Breakfast (additional cost) was served in our room when we wanted it, which was nice too. Because the room was large, it took a while for the heating to warm the whole area, but once it did, the room was very comfortable.
confortable beds and good heating more like a motel than a hotel but without room facilities of a motel
Friendly & informative staff. Breakfast served in room on request.
peaceful, welcoming and excellent value, 2nd visit in 6 months, but definately not the last.
Extremely friendly staff, lovely location, everyone most accommodating.
Charming appearance of hotel Self contained rooms
Very cheery staff, and good location.
The owners were wonderful. The price was very reasonable and the room was small but clean. The bathroom was large and very nice. It was a short walk down the hill to town - perfect for us.
the room was comfortable and clean , parking private and free as was wfi if you want to leave early morning before 8am you have to make arrangements the night before as there is no night reception. the walk back from Honfluer is up hill and a hard slog
Friendly staff, lovely village, fantastic restaurant only 200 meters away. Quiet place for a getaway. brand new furnishing.
The tranquility, the swimming pool, There was a dog in the neighbouring garden which barked all afternoon when we first arrived. The breakfast was rather expensive
Peaceful and in the real french countryside.
Extreme courtesy of all the staff. Willingness of staff to accommodate changes to arrangements. Location in very pleasant countryside.
The overall experience is outstanding
It was the best and available hotel Car parking is not convenient, maintenance glitches in the room, light bulb, bath tub not emptying, shower hanging loose, can't fix its position. At time of making reservation it is not clear that the rooms are in various houses on the premises. No restaurant.
The setting is tranquil and the village is very picturesque. The hotel is rather expensive: it has no restaurant, a very limited bar facility, no safe parking. The room we were shown into on arrival had not been serviced. The young assistant was confused. We were upgraded. I am not sure how easily the situation would have been resolved had I not been fluent in french.
luxurious room and nice surroundings
The ambience was peaceful, rural, luxurious. We were to have stayed in the room called "Paris" but the aircon did not work, so we were upgraded to "New York." We did not ask for this, the concierge insisted. Both rooms were lovely, "New York" was especially luxurious. We enjoyed the terrace with its loungers and the jacuzzi and the decor. Although evening meal was not on offer, it was only a short and pleasant walk to a good restaurant, booked for us by the hotel. When paying the bill, we realised that it was a good idea to take a print-out of one's booking. We had a bargain! I was unjustifiably concerned that as the car park was not visible from the hotel, it was vulnerable. But the village of Jumieges is not like that, I am sure!
I loved the room they all have a theme. The hotel is very pretty. Staff is friendly. Pity there is now restaurant. The breakfast is ok but expensive. If you ad the breakfast for two people and the room price it is a little over the top.
The location and the appearance and comfort. I could not get an extension of check out from 12:00 to 12:30 to make a local visit easier.
Rooms were comfortable, shower was amazing - often not in French hotels. Food was good. No tea making facilities for the morning. No extra pillows.
Very central location and couteous staff, room decour good and very comfotable bed. Bedrooms a little small, and no parking!
The Restaurant Terre et Mer
Ambience and location Very hot. No air conditioning but fans helped. Narrow steps, difficult for the infirm. No car parking at hotel, but public open parking close by. Breakfast expensive for what you could have compared with other hotels we stayed at this time, no cheese, eggs or ham .
Location, price, confort, food, staff, view No elevator
position expensive breakfast
Nice bathrooms - big shower and centrally located for old town. Free internet. Pleasant staff. Very noisy in the mornings! Although if you choose to stay in the old town, anywhere will be noisy as there are so many restaurants requiring their rubbish bins to be emptied early a.m. Not a lot of space in the room but adequate. Breakfast could be better for 11 Euros.
Very central and close to the harbour and its restaurants. Our room was noisy in late into the evening. Parking is a bit remote from the hotel.
The hotel was beautiful and the location convenient. The courtyard and the flowers everywhere were particularly nice. They also gave us an upgrade due to the timing of the booking. Breakfast is quite expensive and the waitress, while very nice, was a little unorganized.
Lovely hotel, charming host. Just perfect for our needs.
Great location, walk to port,restaurants,shopping
Outstanding service, all of the people at the hotel were very accommodating and helped us with so many extra things-recommending places to eat, directions. Eating breakfast beside the fireplace in a flower filled room was so special.
The staff was wonderful! Very attentive, polite, efficient, and helpful. As in most organizations, it is always the people. The location in Honfleur is perfect to see this beautiful town, and the hotel so close to the Normandy beaches. Excellent value!
The hotel was in a fantastic location and was very pretty. Staff were welcoming and friendly I dont want to say our stay was not enjoyable because it was, but we did feel that for a hotel in this price range a few things should have been inlcuded. The spa was an extra 20 euros to use which we were not aware of until we arrived. On principle I will not pay Near on £20 to use a hot tub when firstly the room is costing £170 a night not including any food and secondly I have one at home. There are not tea or coffee making facilitys in room - dont expect to get your water topped up if you are staying more than one night. We could have done with a introduction to how you use things and where they are. No instructions in room. EG contact reception, use internet, order food, car park? - would have been usefull
Hotel is quite basic but rooms were very clean and comfortable, internet worked great, it was nice to be able to park right outside our room. We had two connecting rooms which were perfect for our family of five, good value. Location not great, close to a small town, but this was a stopover enroute to elsewhere so we didn't choose it for the location, only the proximity to the road we were travelling on - which it was very close to. Very easy to find. For the price we paid for two rooms we were very pleased with the hotel. It is basic but clean. It is definitely not a luxury hotel, but great for a stopover.
good value, not a very nice location, food fair and service good rather dreary location
Friendly service. Good bed. No lift to the first floor.
The room was very clean, and the restaurant stayed open to a very reasonable hour, serving very good food. We took a long time to find it. Road numbers appear to have changed, and did not coincide with our current road atlas of France.
very pleasant and welcoming staff. The area is very quiet and relaxing. we had difficulty finding a place to have dinner on a Sunday evening
The staff were very helpful, good food & conveniantly situated for our trip
The food was very good and reasonably priced.thechoice of wine was good and again it was a fair price Uncarpeted corridor noisy. room very basic bedside tables would have been an improvement
Quiet hotel. Staff very friendly. Can't think of any bad points to add about this hotel.
Very friendly staff. Nice surroundings - large garden and very quiet, although I could hear the people in surrounding rooms. Tiny bathroom. Toilet didn't flush properly and ran constantly, shower was dirty. They did send someone to fix the toilet and it worked once, and then stopped working again. Really, really uncomfortable bed.
Quiet location. Breakfast ok It is quite a problem that the hotel's restaurant is closed on Sunday (and Saturday) evenings as it is quite imposible to find a place in the neighbourhood to have dinner on Sunday evenings
Proximity to motorway
Restaurant and value for money
Meals were very good Nothing
It was away from traffic sounds, very comfortable, and the restaurant had a wonderful buffet after a long day of sight seeing We would have enjoyed having a room with 2 double beds as we were traveling as a family
Easy to find, good buffet supper and breakfast Nothing
Clean and cheap for a single traveller. Very convenient location at the intersection of the A13 and A28. Ideal stop-over when travelling from the Channel Tunnel to the South-West of France. Nothing
Easy of finding, excellent and helpful staff, good place to stop on a long journey when travelling further, restaurant was reasonable/good, all parts of the hotel were spotlessly clean, there is a large car park at the hotel, a local town is 5-10 minutes walk away where there are some good bars and restaurants if you want to use/visit them
convenient just off motorway basic
Very close to motorway and yet quiet. The heating had not been switched on in the room so it was cold when I arrived and took a while to get warmer.
Friendly helpful and cheerful staff. Free WiFi Hotel corridor doors were very noisy and needed oiling.
Easy to find, very good breakfast. I asked for two rooms next to eachother for my chlidren. Was very good.
Value for money and good breakfast The unsuitability of the 3rd bed for a young infant
Leaving on the Saturday was the highlight of the stay. The rooms are tiny and the bathroom was even smaller than the one in our cabin on the cross channel ferry. It is on a par with a Hostel and I'm not sure that it's fair on hostels to even say that. How this place gets a 7 on the website is beyond me.
For a one night stay it was comfortable and a good price
Nothing about the hotel, though the city is very nice The third bed was on top of the two beds below with only 1-2 foot clearance
Tiny and dirty bathroom small and dirty room
wireless internet access
Clean rooms. Very small rooms. Bathroom with toilet were too small.
Apart from another Premiere hotels it was close to the city center, we made it on foot in less than 15 min.
Reasonable price, clean Cumbersome self-service checkin, bathroom tiny and cramped, you need a car - it's too far to walk to Honfleur and there are no buses or taxis; nowhere to leave luggae after checking out but before leaving Honfleur; staff weren't at all helpful/sympathetic about this problem (but otherwise OK)
The welcome from Estelle on arrival and from Guillaume at breakfast was very warm & friendly. The hotel is located in a quiet and calm area, which suited us well. Having a very good restaurant within the hotel was an added bonus. WiFi access to the Internet is most convenient for travellers with their own laptop.
Attractive building, tastefully restored and converted to small boutique hotel run by charming couple. Good English spoken. In pretty village near beautiful Honfleur. Delicious supper on pretty terrace.Room attractive and comfortable. The hotel looks onto a site that in the past contained an old chateau, which was demolished. The site is still derelict as the local antiquities department insists that any use of the site must restore the chateau to its former position. In my view this is a small problem, at least in the summer as the site is full of plants.
Pleasant and relaxing. Nice hosts
Ideal stop-over hotel near Honfleur set in tranquil, wooded, countryside with plenty of opportunity for walking in the surrounding area. No bar facilities other than eating in the restaurant
Friendly, lovely area View of the old factory site isn't too pretty and the weather and the slump in Sterling tried to spoil our fun
The location was very close to Honfleur. Just a short 15 min drive. The owner managers were very accomodating and spoke English well. Unfortunatley I was unable to experience their resturant.... hopefully on our next visit.
Nice, pleasant location with beautiful grounds near cute small town and close to larger town we were visiting. Prompt, great, non-intrusive service and exceptionally clean. No
We really enjoyed our stay at La Fraiichette. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and our room was bright, comfortable, clean and spacious. Although there was no reception to enquire at, the owners took care of all our needs. The atmosphere was very peaceful and we will happily return there next time we are in Normandy. I do not have anything negative to say about this hotel at all.
The owners' hospitality was extraordinary, the restaurant was outstanding, and the location a welcome break from the noise of a more touristy location.
The place itself! Everything!
rustic ambiance which goes lovely with its own town, Honfleur...very convenient location in the center...would love to go back there again... shower facility might be renewed in order to provide a seperation between the room.
Good standard bed and breakfast accomodation. Very friendly and knowledgable staff. There were 10 in our group so I had a chance to see five of the rooms. The standard was in general very high, however, the room that I stayed in was rather spartan and awkward to access compared to the others of a similar price.
This B&bB facility is a beautifully preserved and centrally located old house but rather expensive for the quality offered. The open bathroom is not a very good idea. The signpost of the "hotel" is so small that we could find it with difficulty. The owners are very friendly, however.
