The resort staff were truly incredible. They ensured personalized, friendly service and accommodated our every whim. Resort staff also double as trusted tour guides with rates on par with other services on the island. It felt like hiking with a knowledgeable friend, not a strange guide, and it removed the stress from organizing. Unlike some of the smaller guest houses, Rosalie has enough services to keep you entertained on site -- spa, beautiful pool, and excellent food. Perfect for a day of recovery after a long hike. While we saw kids at the resort, Dominica is not the best place for little ones. Not a critique of the resort, per se, but if you're looking to entertain 2-6 year olds or would like a beach, you're better off in Barbados or somewhere similar.
the friendly staff made us feel welcomed immediately. Nigels is a multi task guy and he is great at it all. he makes a mean margarita. and we had such a wonderful dinner which includes complimentary dessert. the owner was very pleasant and welcoming to all guests during dinner she walked around and greeted us all as if we were family visitin for the night. I was on a week long vacation elsewhere on the island and spent the night before we flew home and if ever back in Dominica I will definitely plan a stay there again my stay was only 1 night. I wanted ro stay another night :-(
Refrigerator, pretty grounds, sunsets at your toe tips. Close to the shanties at Ross U; great food and conversation there. Staff fantastic. Plenty of hot water. WIFI worked great. No fan, no flow thru air so had to use AC. Beach has debris that should be cleaned up, The "snorkel" at the reef jetty is a wreck...can't use the jetty at all. No swimming pool; looks like there is one in same advertising that tells you about jetty and snorkeling that doesn't really excist. Hall way lights keep room light all night. Sign for road to hotel is one block off and leads to dead end.
