Late reservation. Late arrival. Quiet environment. The room was narrow. No wardrobe. No view (battlements). Blanket too thin.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Surroundings were peaceful (except for striking clock nearby). Furnishings smelled of smoke from previous guests (even though smoking is not officially allowed in rooms). Staff were apologetic about this when it was pointed out to them.
Wonderful location near the Seine and the Eure. a good base for trips to Les Andelys, Château Gaillard and Claude Monet garden at Giverny. No elevator
comfortable room, large bed, nice tv, view from the room, quiet no restaurant at the hotel, bit too warm in the room
Nice location by river, pretty, refurbished old town. Choice of eating establishments in the town was very poor, even on a Saturday night in June.
Friendly staff Impeccably clean Convenient position - nice outlook Useful off-road parking Good value None that I can think of
Quiet, comfortable, excellent breakfast, friendly staff in all very good. Atmosphere and decor well above average.
The location was what we wanted for a stopover en route to the south of France. The hotel has bags of character and is clean and quiet. Arriving at 21.00 we could not get a meal anywhere. There was no space in the tiny car park but the lady on reception (owner?) kindly moved her car out so that we could park. Breakfast was a bit expensive.
Nice size room very nice decor and decorations, furnishings etc with very clean en-suite shower room. Nice view of river from room. A bit warm, but end of July. Breakfast excellent, plenty of bread Croissants etc, coffee and fruit juice, staff very friendly.
Very clean hotel with lovely rooms. Friendly helpful staff.
Staff very helpful. English spoken. WiFi worked well. Room and shower very clean. Not advised that Restaurant for evening meal closed although several other restaurants available close by.
The hotel is coveniently close to main highways with a couple of fast food type oulets to eat at nearby. it is also close to the industrail areas without actually being sited on the park which some are, so, for business its in a good enough area. Breakfast was plentiful and of a good quality The rooms are basic, very basic. Beds are low, hard and very uncomfortable from what i am used to either at home or when i travel. (I travel a lot. 2-3 nights a week most weeks in hotels all over the world). I would not want to stay in this hotel again out of choice. Did not eat in the restaurant in the evning as it had been cosed for a month, presumably for a refurbishment,
Location The bathroom smelt and did not seem clean
not much too much noise from the MacDonalds restaurant which is just behind the hotel.
Excellent location, wifi connection. Good food value and correct comfort in room and bathroom Old TV with a small screen
Convenient location and services. Good breakfast. Absence of restaurant during the weekend was not a problem as McDo and Buffalo Grill are both adjacent. Good value for money. Nothing.
It was easy to find and although close to the road network there was no noise from outside. The patio and grassed area was pleasant in the evening sunshine. We had a good breakfast. No.
Convenience for other facilities
The staff were very helpfull. As the hotel restaurant was closed for the August break they were able to direct us to several eating places close by. Even though we only had a smattering of french between us
Quiet and comfortable good shower. Secure parking and hotel (entry by magic number keypad at night). Easy access to a13 and n154. Ok for one night. Restaurant not open for dinner (only breakfast at extra cost). Buffalo grill opposite only option without car journey. Lavatory seat mount broken (a general finding throughout France). Furnishings good but dated. No tea making facilities.
This is a very good functional hotel for a stop off. Nice room, pool, and good breakfast. It's a drive to get to centre of Rouen.
easy and clean nothing
Lots of outdoor space for our two young children. Children got a welcome gift and toys to entertain them at dinner. Room was very cramped, rather dark and in desperate need of a makeover. No-one explained how to get the sofa bed into two single beds. Pillows were lumpy, itchy blankets instead of duvets.
After initially being put in a room where the drain in the bath was blocked, when we complained, the staff on duty acted quickly to change us to a superior room. The room wasn't ready when we checked in after midday and the staff on duty at the time seemed totally disinterested. They weren't really geared up for tourists (unlike Novotel at Caen, where the staff were very friendly and helpful indeed). Also worth saying that the "hot" breakfast was warm and not very good; better to avoid paying for breakfast and eat fresh food in a local cafe.
very clean and comfortable room. Quite and nice suroundings hard to find
Stayed here before, acceptable dining with polite service. Adjoining rooms for us and the children. Handy location, with better standard than other hotels we have tried nearby. Booking was confusing, with no apparent option for children's rates. They appeared on the form as adults! I had to print off seven pages, mostly in foreign languages, in order to retain the important booking details, which were in tiny print buried a long way down. Tried to charge for breakfast even though it was paid. Had to show the printout of the booking even though we had checked in with it, otherwise they wouldn't believe it was paid! Internet was free, but timed off every twenty minutes with a tedious logging on process required each time. Swimming pool bitterly cold.
the hotel dnner and service was excellent, breakfast staff not to be seen when found not so helpful more interested in clearing tables
Nothing, did not worth the price. There was a problem on the pipe of sink and toilet water come into my bath all over! It was extremely disgusting and smelling s..t all over!!! I just can't imagine how it would be if I would be inside the bath! arghhh.. It was late at night and they changed my room but there was no privilege given as apology for the disgusting experience, not even a cup of cofee next day!!! The hotel has no privileged location at all, it is actually besides all the budget hotels with actually almost the same room quality I would say. Charged wifi. Would never stay there again!
The kids liked the X box which was free in the foyer and the assess to a PC Evening menu
Very clean, comfortable, good food, staff excellent. Secure parking also a plus point Although food was good it was expensive ok for a few nights. Gps instructions were not correct if using a sat nav would recommend you use the hotels address.
Pleasant, efficient, clean
The room decor was good, the bed was very comfortable
Nice bedroom Only one person on duty . She was quite miserable . No one serving at the bar and no wine available. Restaurant closed and no advance warning .
Dinners and Breakfasts were very good.
Room size, cosy blankets and nice breakfast No
Refurbished rooms Noise from air con fan in room.
Staff friendly, hotel quiet despite being full, convenient for onward travel on both motorways and other routes, pleasant spot short drive from Rouen. Wifi was available in our ordinary room despite signs saying available in superior rooms. Fish dish very overcooked, otherwise food quite reasonable and good value.
Clean rooms, excellent food Small room, no air con
The staff were excellent. The accommodation was more than adequate. No complaints.
Resturant Small Room very hot
Clean, comfortable, good buffet breakfast
There was no hot water the morning. The staff said it was due to a breakdown during the night but it could also simply be due to too many showers from other clients before I stood up.
Clean well presented hotel with helpful staff No shower curtain over the bath
The hotel was very easy to find and perfectly situated for our trip south. The room was small but clean and comfortable, we stayed on a Sunday night so the hotel restaurant was closed, but there was a very good restaurant just around the corner. We will be staying at the same hotel on our return jouney back to england.
The hotel was ideally located for the motorways/road links, the room was very clean and large with a very comfortable bed. The staff were helpful and it was a shame we were there on a Sunday night as the restaurant was closed but it looked really nice. Luckily there were quite a few other restaurants around for us to choose between. We would use this hotel again.
Clean, comfortable None
Good food menu
good for an overnight stop
Parking Wireless Intenet No
I used the hotel for a one night stop over and found the hotel clean, comfortable and good value. Remember this chain is providing clean and comfortable accomodation to a budget so dont expect high end luxury. Make sure you have good directions before you leave as relying on the french post code alone on the satvav couldnt find the address.
Good value meals Bar area closing at 11.00 pm
secure parking and pet friendly. Unable to eat in hotel on evening due to a wedding. We were not informed prior to our arrival. However a restaurant was recommended just down the road and this was excellent. So no complaints.
Great air conditioning Limited choice half menu not available
good rapport qualite / prix the receptionist challenged me about my booking and advised I had booked a room for 2 nights instead of one when I had made my 4 bookings at the same time and for the same period of one night?!
Sraff politeness General aspect of the room.
Of course it isn't a luxury hotel, but it's more than enough: free wifi access, free parking, air conditionned, clean rooms and nice staff. Rooms are too small for a four-member family. Fortunately, we got a new room for our children.
Good value for money. No family rooms that I was aware of.
The food was very good The hotel was surrounded in wire fencing with gates locked at night - a bit intimidating
The Restaurant The location, even the TOM TOM could not find it
Great owner - a real character and very helpful. The hotel is very unusual consisting of several small chalets well out of town on the top of a hill with good views. Lots of donkeys and horses nearby. Very basic and simple but clean and fine for an overnight stop on the way to the ferries. Several restaurants in the local shopping mall nearby which were fine (c2 miles away). Very good rates. The code to get in was wrong and could not get hold of anyone to get in for 30 mins - had to climb over gate in end.
quiet location, friendly manager, shops and restaurants near by. no food or drink available at the hotel
Spacious rooms, pleasant setting, reasonable value for money
Good value. Spacious room, morelike small apartment with TV and fridge. Stairs ok for our under age 10 kids. Well signposted from road.Good apartment for looking around Rouen. Would use again. Quite difficult to find the area of Rouen it was in. We needed a code to get in the grounds and we could only get throught the gate initially by waiting for another car to come out!
Easy to locate from motorway on route to south. Good family room, quiet location, good shower. Owner has two large dogs which although obedient do range around the grounds. Nearest resturant 5 mins drive away.
Family friendly hotel personally run by owners. Particularly suitable for families as rooms are detached from main building and families can sit outside their rooms whilst children can paly on the grassed area in front of the rooms, Peaceful with good views.
Nice situation in lovely countryside with fantastic views. Fairly basic room but ideal for short stay, we had a fridge in the room which was very welcome. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful.
setting very friendly staff
The owner was really friendly and his hospitality was excellent. Fresh croissants for breakfast and plenty of bread etc. Lovely setting and well signposted. Good sized room for a family. Good location for a stop over on way to ferry port. The room could have been cleaner, bathroom was clean but round the edges of the carpet could have been cleaner and although no smoking the room smelt of cigarettes and there were cigarette burns on bedding and carpets.
The peace and quiet and the views.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice buffet breakfast. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room, and the room was a little warm.
the food Room needed decorating, wall paper coming off the walls. Also no coffee or tea facilities in the room.
We stayed in a triple room, but the single bed was perched on top of the toilet and bathroom. No chance of our 4 year old being safe in it. We had to climb up and put the mattress on the floor.
Nothing, we booked out the following morning, had booked 4 nights. Room was dirty, sink in bathroom was grubby, room was damp.
One bed a little uncomfortable
Restaurant Le Seinomarin was very good With our room, there was a loud noise like a flushing toilet during the night, which went on for about 15 mins.
The staff were very helpful and the restaurant excellent. The car park gate needed oiling.
Especially the friendliness of the staff and the comparably excellent restaurant.Good parking facilities. The room (for smokers) we had was shabby and very small.
Rooms quiet, clean and very comfortable. A few undesirable people hanging around.Price for breakfast extortinate - and no reduction for children!
The room was basic but quite comfortable with parking outside the door of the room. Very convenient. The toilet facilities were clean but the small cabin rooms did not have their extractor fans working. Very clostraphobic.
Pleasant night but unable to stay for breakfast as left before 8am None
Great staff very friendly and helpfull, excellent evening meal at a fair price, good shower/hot water. Room/bathroom enclosure compact but perfectly acceptable for price
None We asked for non smoking room. Room stank of smoke. Asked to change rooms, again room smelt of smoke.
It was cheap, cheerful, very clean and staff were most helpful in arranging taxis. Completely basic, but that was expected at the price. I would not stay here for a long holiday!
Convenient location The look of it. A picture on the website would have helped us know what we were getting
We were not advised we had to contact the hotel prior to 18.00 on day of arrival. there was no staff present & no instrructions re rooms keys etc
convenient location, reasonably quiet and comfortable (apart from other guests talking loudly on mobile phones in the communal hallways) inadequately signposted from the main road and then awkward to work out how to actually enter the car park from the slip road.
convenience another guest
Really good value compaired to other hotels. Excellent it had a secure car park. Seemed quite quiet considering the road was so close. Good shower lots of lovely hot water. Only drawbacks were no plug in the sink, the bathroom door did not shut quite right & my husbands pillow was inadequate but mine was fine. This is not really a complaint just pointing out where you could improve.
receptionist was exelent.
Breakfast was ok Very noisy in the morning, was awoken by staff banging at 6am. Very small rooms, pictures on internet misleading
We were only here for one night and decided not to have the breakfast so I can't comment on that. The stairs and hallway carpet leading to our room was worn and stained which was a bit off putting but thankfully our room was clean and comfortable although a bit small. The Hotel is nicely placed outside Rouen with restaurants nearby and buses to Rouen stop nearby. There were no plug sockets in our room apart from the one for the tv which was on top of the wardrobe, it made drying my hair fun! And we were only given one large and one small towel for the two of us although when I asked at the reception for some more they happily obliged.
We only used it as a stopover, the room was filthy
Convenient for the center of Rouen, which is very attractive. The hotel is very basic but reasonable value as it is cheap. It serves as an acceptable one night stop over if used as part of a long journey. The staff were helpful, welcoming and hardworking. The matress and pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable. The room heater was hanging off the wall and when pointed out, the reply was that the heater still worked, but there was no apparent likelihood of it being refixed.
Staff were pleasant. Exterior looking very tatty.Bathroom shower not working.Never seen shower connected to wash basin taps before.
The room was clean etc, but a bit small
low cost . OK for one night very basic
Nothing. Room dirty. Smelled of cigarette smoke. Blankets not clean. Only one small and one bath towel and one plastic glass for two people.Just a hand full of toilet paper. Toilet would not flush. Waste leaked onto floor from wash hand basin. No hot water at all at 7.30 in the morning. Reception staff could not have cared less. Terrible!
Manager / staff very helpful and polite. Breakfast good. Bed cover was very dirty and we did not use.
Easy to find. Wide range of food available at breakfast.
Cheap compact and clean accomodation, ideal for a stopover.
Convenient, cheap, friendly staff Breakfast was overpriced and not good, noisy sorroundings
Excellent staff. Good English spoken. Very attentive. Room clean and tidy Badly fitting door. Lot of noice early in the morning (6.00am)
Clean rooms. Very rooms. Bathroom with toilet too small.
for an overnight stop had all we needed. had the possibility/flexibility of checking in late -as we did. finding it wasa nigtmare-took us an hour just to find it-found the wrong one initially! . cigarette burn in cover when supposed to be non smoking. someone elses hair in the sheets.
Too noisy, dirty shower and smokey
I arrived just after 9pm but with a reservation, but the automatic key dispenser wouldn't work. Luckily one of your staff was still on site and was kind enough to open up and book us in manually. I was nervous on my next visit that if I was late the automatic system might not operate again.
Very Near to Rouen, Hve good meals Very Bad at enterntainments, no english channels
Clean and functional. Not the easiest to find ! Arrived in Rouen at 23;30, eventually found the hotel at 01:35 !!
Very welcoming and clean, bed was comfortable and breakfast good value. staff were helpful and friendly. loved the wifi conection Although we had a ground floor room the bathroom was not easy. I carry a stool for the shower, with out it i would not have been able to use the shower.
The staff were excellent, welcoming, appropriately attentive. The location on the bank of The River siene was fabulous. The food was terrific (albeit a little expensive). Rooms were a little old fashioned
The Logis Hostellerie Saint Peirre has is in a very peaceful and serene location on the banks of the Seine. It was about a thirty minute drive from Giverny. Our family room consisted of two adjoining bedrooms with a bath and separate toilet. Our dinner in their restaurant was superb and featured many local specialties. The hotel shows its age in some ways, but efforts have been made to update the bathrooms and the bedrooms.
Beautiful room overlooking the Seine. A little remote during the off season. If you don't want to eat at the hotel because it was quite expensive, it was a long drive to an alternative.
Nice people who run the hotel & great position overlooking the Seine The rooms are rather basic & certainly not worth the somewhat high price - food was Ok - wine selection was very poor.
