Cons: The restaurant served us, at the end of the dinner, a regular expresso coffee when we asked for a decafeinated expresso coffee. The result was to stay awaked the whole night with no sleep at all. We left the hotel the next day for a long journey; we were both exhausted!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: An absolute dream of a place to stay and eat at. All the staff were attentive but not overbearing. Very large room and en-suite. The welcoming drink and treat was lovely. The main reason for our visit was to dine at the famous ‘Maison Pic’, so to stay in the same place as well, made it all the more special.

Pros: Magical time. Wonderful experience. Stunning views. Fabulous hosts. Would highly recommend to anyone. Our 2 boys had a super time. We loved everything!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful, calm & charming hosts
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A long and winding road into the mountains lead to this beautiful situated ferme. We (a Dutch family with 3 young children) rented the gite for one night. The view was spectacular, the gite spacious. The whole property was idyllic with a small campsite, playground, swimming pool, hammocks everywhere. Breakfast was brought to our gite! We also had dinner at the restaurant which was wonderful and reasonably priced. The owners are very hospitable and friendly. Really, Ferme de Simondon is highly recommended by us.
Cons: Nothing really The only thing was that all the beds were in one room and that they were all 1-person beds. For one or two nights we would not consider that to be a problem, but should you want to stay longer in that concerning gite more privacy (a separate room) would perhaps be welcomed

Pros: The rooms where comfortable with good air conditioning. The outside terrace is peaceful and very relaxing on a night time. Parking is available on site and its private and secure. The reception and bar staff were very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Only a minor issue during our 2 night stay. The maid asked to clean our room on the morning of day 2 to which I declined due to only being there one more night and having our personal belongings all over the room (motorcycle bike trip). I then put a do not disturb sign on the door before going out into town. On our return the room had been serviced and our belongings had been moved and put in different places. Like I said a small issue but one that really annoyed me.

Pros: Great country farming locale. Great views.
Cons: In winter a bit barren, best to go late spring or summer
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good, with home made yogurt, jam and cheese. The room and the bed was comfortable but in our room under the roof the ceiling was quite low (less than 1.9 m)
Cons: the place is quite close to the highway and there are no mosquito nets at the window so if you like to sleep with open windows it could be a bit difficult to get asleep because of noise and harmless but annoying insects.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly welcome from the host. Excellent breakfast. Very convenient location for visiting the Valence - Romans-sur-Isere area, also very quiet during the night.
Cons: Nothing really!
10.0 Excellent

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Big and functional room. Ok breakfast. Friendly staff. Private parking.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice small hotel. Friendly service, free parking behind gate. Good breakfast. Room was big, clean, bathroom big. Fluent service and processes.
Cons: Finding the entryway with the address was a bit confusing. The address takes you to the parking area gate, and you cannot recognize the hotel from the backside. I would chance the google maps location to the entryway which you take when arriving for the first time. The location is a bit far from the restaurants in old town, but it is totally a walking distance (20-25 mins).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Really good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities for cyclists and advice given about our route.
Cons: Some parts of hotel a little dated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was a little sparse based on UK expectations, but was about right for European standards.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: They kindly housed our bicycles in a secure garage, as requested.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good price for location. Other places were 2x as much but all you had to do was cross over the bridge. Parking was easy and free. The staff was exceptional. Would recommend for low budget hotel.
Cons: The place isn’t very “French.” Looks like your standard American hotel. But for one night, it gets the job done.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: friendly efficient family run hotel that is spotlessly clean and comfortable
Cons: nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is great if you’re travelling to the south, with good and secure parking. Just a 10/15 min walk into Tournon-sur-Rhône. The staff were great and welcoming, Sandra helped me find my way around and was a pleasure to talk to. Room very clean with air conditioning and a good sized bathroom. Highly recommended.
6.3 Good
Pros: Comfortable bedroom
Cons: Location was not very good.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Such friendly people here and the lady (owner/manager?) spoke excellent English. This was a quick stop-over at a convenient place on a long journey. We were able to park our motorbike in the garage - ideal - but the parking area is secure with automatic gates and barriers. The room was efficient and the bed large and comfortable. Exceptionally clean Nothing to complain about - it was a good choice.
Cons: Everything was good and we have nothing to complain about. Just a quick comment that the hotel is slightly away from the restaurants and supermarket, probably a good 10 minute walk away.

Pros: We had a GREAT time. The host was making sure every quest met each other and doing so we all had a wonderful time. Nice dinner and good company. Perfect.
Cons: The room was a little crowded, but adequate. The place, for us, a little difficult to find, but our GREAT host was down on the main street looking for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic friendly hosts... made to feel very welcome, delicious food and amazing wines at great prices. Nice room with a panoramic terrace out the double doors... would Definitely stay there again if we're ever in that part of France.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the house, the hosts, the view, the bed, the bath, the breakfast.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous b&b that makes the best of its location on a hillside with wide verandas giving beautiful views. Unusual decor with lots of interesting artworks displayed. Very congenial and welcoming hosts. Excellent breakfast including homemade preserves.
Cons: At the top of the hill leading up to the property there's a sharp right hand turn. A bit tricky parking in a big car until Paul showed us an alternative.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved staying here. We were made to feel very welcome; the layout of the house is quirky, stylish and great fun with an eclectic mix of beautiful pieces of furniture; conversation flowed from the moment we arrived; dinner was delicious and our hosts took great pride in offering us their home made jams, jellies and relishes - the tomato marmalade had an amazing flavour...and colour. And, equally important, our dog loved his stay and was made to feel just as welcome as we were.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fatastic location. Hosts very helpful and with good recommendations on how to discover the area by bike and by travelling around. Very good and kind service!

7.5 Good
Pros: Nice staff. Decent breakfast. Clean. Good location close to the autoroute.
Cons: The aircon could not be turned on because it was before 1st May. It was 25C outside though so that was an unexpected letdown that overshadowed our experience. We couldn’t open the window either because of the noise outside.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Stayed here a few times as it's an excellent location for work when I visit the area. The hotel staff are very friendly. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and very clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast is a good continental choice : cereals, fresh fruit, croissants, meat, cheese and eggs. All self service. Large secure carpark and free internet. No restaurant on site for lunch and dinner but a very nice friendly restaurant across the road ( 2 mins walk ) with a great choice and reasonably priced.
Cons: Would be good to have tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Arriving to find this hotel on the edge of a tired looking industrial site we wondered what we had in store. The staff were friendly, the hotel clean and comfortable, the family room was ideal and a great breakfast was to be had the next day. We were also informed by showing our hotel card we would get discount at a nearby restaurant and there we ate outside and had a really very nice reasonably priced meal
Cons: To be honest - the only thing that would have made it better and i know it cant be changed, would have been if it had not been on the industrial estate but saying that it was very quiet as we stayed at the weekend anyway.

Pros: Top service. Very helpful reception
6.8 Good
Pros: It was clean, the staff were pleasant and spoke English. Very Bright and Light. Good size car park

Cons: Nothing .
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean rooms, everything working as expected, friendly (and English speaking!) staff
Cons: Not a very nice area but for one night it was OK
7.5 Good
Pros: For the price charged the hotel is pretty good. The rooms are spacious and quite, the beds comfortable and they have a lot of free parking space.
Cons: I've been to this hotel a lot in the las months. It is the second time that I get a room where the shower drain does not properly work. So the dirty and soappy water will accumulate. this time the pipes under the sink were licking a little bit, but nothing serious.

Cons: Nothing, this is a great place to stay for both short and long breaks.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely hotel just off A7 easy to locate with GPS and greeted by friendly english speaking staff. Everything is exceptionally clean with small but perfectly adequate rooms, comfy beds, lovely linen and towels and a very good shower. We enjoyed a really good evening meal in their restaurant and a wonderful nights sleep before continuing our journey
Cons: lovely refreshment tray was situated on a high shelf in the bedroom which wasn't easy to use and could have been better placed on the large table under the window.

13
8.9 Excellent (138 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel de la Villeon in Tournon-sur-Rhone, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Le Jardin d'Eden and Chateau de Tournon.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Not a property to offer in chateau category
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff were helpful. Bowls for the dog were supplied.
Cons: The room under the eaves was cramped and the pitch of roof, acute. One tiny window at floor level and tiny roof window. Room too dark to read. Someone is keen on taxidermy and there were many rabbits displayed in glass cabinets including one in the room. Comfy bed but church bell tolled from 7am on the quarter hour. Breakfast adequate. Kindly neighbour opposite hotel told me how to ring the door bell as not obvious and he has clearly advised folk before. Empty, cold entrance hall - rarely anyone on reception and access gained with a key. More B&B than “hotel”.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room is big and bright The bed is very comfortable The garden is wonderful Very friendly staff
Cons: I missed a bigger wardrobe
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: 1, The location is very strange, navigation cannot find, has to drive reverse direction to reach the hotel. 2, There is no parking space, just a old house next to the old block, there is no way to talk about 4 stars. 3, At last moment my daughter decided to travel with us, more than 30 square meters of room, didn’t provide us an extra bed, must add another room. One of the two rooms has no warm water and cannot be bathed so cannot be sold. It only subsidizes 15 Euros,we 3 people use the bathroom in another room. 4, the attitude of the female manager on duty that day is very unfriendly, saying that if we do not accept her arrangement, we could go to other hotel. It was already evening.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast was very French i.e we missed fresh orange juice, strong coffee. Would be great with a pool or an outdoor shower. It would also be great to get water on departure. Recommendations regarding restaurants could be better.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Attic rooms at the top floor do not have much light. Would probably pay more for a bigger room on the lower floor next time.

Pros: The room was large and beds were very comfy. Good kitchen facilities, and a nice patio area out the back. The hostel was not too far from some bars and supermarkets, but was in a residential area. Hostel owners knew a lot about local cyclinf routes and were helpful in explaining the best ways to get to places.
Cons: Was a little walk to bars, but not super far.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is fantastic if you love being in nature! The hostel's allotment backs onto a park with a river that you can follow for miles and on there are mountains on the other side. Great for runners, hikers, cyclists and those wanting to relax and get away from the city.
Cons: I paid 7 euros more on booking.com than the original price.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just off the motorway and easy to find, modern hotel with plenty of parking, nice air conditioned room with walk in shower and balcony overlooking the pool area and outside restaurant seating. Lovely dinner in the restaurant, which was able to adapt to cater for my dairy issue. Nice touch on leaving - receptionist came out with a huge umbrella to stop my partner getting wet walking to the car - it was bucketing down.
Cons: Don’t be put off by the unprepossessing front of the hotel - all the action is at the back where there is plenty of greenery shielding you from surrounding buildings.

Pros: This is an excellent hotel, but the real highlight is the bar and restaurant. A great atmosphere in the bar for our pre dinner drinks and an amazing barman. The restaurant is superb with wonderful food and great service. We had our dinner on the terrace in the warm evening sunshine, but the air conditioned main restaurant was available for anyone preferring to stay cool.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Great location - close to the motorway so ideal for a stopover when travelling through France. Lovely reception area and very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very clean and comfortable bed. Food in the restaurant was amazing, accompanied by a very nice bottle of wine.
Cons: Only tiny comment was the service in the restaurant could have been slightly quicker.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We liked the fact that it was very near the A7 because we wanted to drive on to Spain. We also liked the fact that it had a restaurant on site. The menu was ‘t great and it didn’t have much choice but we appreciated the fact that it did have a restaurant. The drinks were fine. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
Cons: Service was a bit slow, we had to wait quite a long time before we were served.

Pros: Nice, recently renovated (spring 2019)hotel in the middle of town. We had the suite with 2 kids on the sofabed (room 114 at the street side, but it’s a small town so no noise) + airco for warm days. Wineries & restaurants at walking distance. Nice outside pool (with towels/bathrobe etc in the room) + free parking in the courtyard of the hotel. Haven’t tested the restaurant yet but it looked nice; next time!

Would definately recommand this hotel to those wishing to enjoy the pleasures of Tain l'Hermitage and Tournon.

Pros: The hotel is still in the process of major alterations, most of which are complete. Once finished it should be an excellent modern hotel. Rooms were comfortable with plenty of space and a balcony. We were rather late for breakfast and the staff were not keeping all the facilities, eg cups and some food adequately available. The hotel was very busy, query full, and the staff were under some pressure, but coped.
Cons: The plug in the wash hand basin did not work properly.

The hotel is just a few minutes from the autoroute so a good stopover location, and is also near the river with a good walk for our two dogs. And there were restaurants in the same street for evening meal. Breakfast was good and as you would expect on the continent. Would thoroughly recommend.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here on our way down to south of France. A very nice hotel with a great breakfast a little bit off the Motorway. Very friendly staff and the kids enjoyed the “Nestor touch”. Nestor being a huge teddy bear. We walked 15-20 min to the city center of Valence. Although Bourg-lès-Valence seemed to be a nice area all restaurants were closed being a Monday evening. We will definitely come back.
