Pros: Excellent place full of history. Loved the family. Breakfast was great. Boat ride in Maranhão dam is really nice.
Cons: A bit expensive.
Pros: Casa da Moira was the most wonderful experience we’ve ever had and probably ever will have - you don’t come across this kind of hospitality twice. Francisca was always two steps ahead of our needs, her family is amazing, the house is stunning, the food was delicious, we really felt like staying with family. We highly recommend staying at least 3 days and you absolutely must do everything they offer (boat ride, dinner, etc)
Cons: Everything was absolute perfection.
Pros: We booked with my boyfriend a room at Casa Da Moira. We had the BEST Surprice of our 3 weeks roadtripping through Portugal : - an incredible place with a breathtaking view - very clean and well-designed facilities (#instagramfriendly?) : pool, terrasse, living room, gameroom etc.. - a wonderful team onsite that make us feel home - the junior suite we had was super clean, lightful and confortable + for free we had access to netflix ! - the food !! Breakfast is included and dinner is extra : everything is home made and the dinner is typical from Alentejo. We definetly recommend Casa da Moira and hope to come back very soon :)
Pros: Everything was wonderful. A perfect place to stay in a small traditional town.
Pros: Professional but at the same time very friendly hosts Position of the 2 houses in the town with great view Elegant rooms with all the facilities Pool(s), as each of the two houses (extension to the original house accross the street) has its own The way the hosts welcome you in their family Free coffee any time and other small amenities
Cons: Not staying int he main building (as we were), to inclcude a key to access the main house should be considered
Pros: Amazing property and charmingly decorated. Outstanding hospitality from the hosts who went to great lengths to make us feel comfortable and part of the family. Fantastic food and drinks! We liked it so much that we booked our next stay before checking out. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Cons: To leave and coming back to reality!
Pros: Everything. The owners welcomes you as part of their family. The staff are very helpful and seat. The room was gorgeous, super comfortable and very clean. The dinners prepared by João, the owner, were excepcional good. I will definitely comeback.

Portela Airport and the city of Lisbon are within 120 km from the country house.
Pros: Really welcoming and attentive host and staff; superb breakfast (the best ever); wonderful nature around! Loved the olive oil...
Cons: Room was a bit dark (small windows), but I guess it adds to the character
Pros: I would recommend this amazing place to everybody. Fantastic conditions, nature, delicious breakfast and peace while relaxing at the swimming pool. We will come back for sure! Thank you!
Pros: Room was great, lot of nice details. Awesome food, and hospitality. And super tips on where to go in the area (dinner/activities etc.)
Cons: A lot of insects in the pool, but that is logical taking the location into account
With a stay at Herdade Da Cortesia Hotel in Avis, you'll be 19.2 mi (30.8 km) from Mora River Aquarium (FLU) and 19.2 mi (31 km) from Gameiro Ecological Park. Featured amenities include a business center, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The property is easy to access, tranquil and serene place, reception very professional and on point, the rooms are spacious and clean, minibar in room and safe, bathroom amenities are nice, wheelchair access all around the property even in the shower. Nice infinity pool with bathrooms and bar on same level, Restaurant 180 has great and professional staff and food is also good, especially the meat and how well it was cooked to selected temperature, also the dessert was amazing, wonderful terrace for sunset view and relaxing music on patio, breakfast buffet abundant and excellent quality. Free bikes for use, and activities ..
Cons: Some minor details like not having briefed restaurant staff on available items,( staff was wonderful and professional about it) chef should do that before service, side dishes are a little poor, the fries needed new oil.
Pros: Location, calmness, staff, swimming pool. Perfect for kids.
Cons: Food price. 2,50€ for an expresso (Nespresso!) is too much for Portugal You can see some gaps in the maintenance of some equipment around the swimming pool.
Pros: Very large and comfy room, with large bathroom with window, good breakfast buffet (and very late breakfasts are possible), nice relatively large infinity pool. Excellent service at the reception. Very quiet spot almost in the middle of nowhere which is good for relaxing. Feeling of a large hotel with only few guests (however, it was booked out when we stayed there). We could have had a late check-out without additional costs. Free parking.
Cons: No internet (WIFI and general signal) except WIFI in the reception area and general signal outside the building over our entire stay. Generally poor service in the restaurant area (slow service, in some cases poor language skills and therefore no information or approach re special order options such as re eggs). AC in the room was very weak. Gym is large but not properly cleaned and machines (mainly rowing) are ageing. Only few acceptable restaurants in the area. Cleaning of the room was generally very late in the day.
Pros: The rooms were very quiet and had plenty of space with great showers looking out into the trees. The pool is nice and the surrounding grounds are great to go for a walk.
Cons: The restaurant and breakfast were ok but nothing particularly amazing to write about.
Cons: There was no WiFi coverage in the room
Pros: The pool, the food
Cons: Terrace outside the room need to be washed to make disappear what all the birds have left during months on the windows, chair, and deck ( not the case for all rooms, but at least ours) Team at the restaurant needs a real training to handle the service. Between 30 to 60 min waiting, every time, just to get the menu, the drinks and place the order.
Cottage located in the province of Alentejo, Portugal. It has 5 bedrooms (1 en suite), all with toilet and air conditioning, in a very quiet environment and just 5 km from the town of Ponte de Sor. It has a swimming pool enclosed in a large lawn, barbecue and wood oven. It has a organic garden and several farm animals.
Pros: - Minimalistic architecture - Amazing landscape - Calm and relaxing environment - Cozy and comfortable like a home - Fresh orange juice from the local trees - Super friendly staff: Dona Alice
Cons: Could me more clean: stains of coffe, hairs inside of furniture, glass windows with stains.
Pros: Very quiet and landscape is beautiful. Great retreat.
Cons: I wish breakfast was more rich and fresh. The place is rural and I'm sure fresh farm products can be had easily.
Pros: The location was divine, you instantly feel like you’re in paradise. We felt like we had stumbled upon a secret getaway. The breakfasts are incredible, the hospitality is unwavering, the relaxation levels are 1000000, the rooms are incredibly spacious. We would come back in a heart beat. Also we had a night time swim under the moonlight and stars, it was one of our highlights of our travels.
Cons: Nothing. Make sure you book here!
Pros: Excellent, minimalistic, modern architecture. Spectacular peaceful view. Freshly-made orange juice.
Cons: Wifi could work in all rooms, not only the kitchen.
Pros: Please pass on to future guests that payment is preferred in cash as her credit card machine does not always work.
Pros: The apartments are large with a very clean and modern feel to them. All rooms have a small patio area which has views over the pool, and has a selecton of patio furniture. Everything was excellent, the location is very quiet but not too far away from the town. The breakfast was more than enough for us and served with a smile by the manageress. All good here!
Cons: Nothing. The apartments exceeded our expectations and I can say that we found that evrything was as described. We would definately stay here again.

Pros: Place in the middle of the nature. The villa was perfect, right in front of the dam. The place is like a resort, so you have to walk in the resort in order to get into the places, it allows you to walk along the nature.
Cons: SPA could be better exprience
Pros: Everything was amazing from the availability of the staff to the location. Amazing place for a getaway. Romantic Package highly recommendable for the value for money.
Cons: The only thing to point is the absence of couple beds. Only twin beds.
Pros: Breakfast and location.
Cons: 1- Strong Urin smell in the pool next to the gymn when swimming. After complaining it was partially fixed. The next day the smell was still there but less. No feedback was given whatsoever. 2- The Turkish bath wasn't working properly. I complained 3 times during the day to different people. Everytime, they said they would fix it but nothing would happen. One time they even insisted that it was working, but I know what a turkish bath is...and that was none. In the end I had a talk with the assistant manager who appolagized and said she would have it fixed and give me feedback on the matter. The next day the turkish bath still wasn't working. I didn't hear a word from the asst. manager again. All in all, I paid for a service that is important to me, but never got to enjoy it. Other guests complained about the same problem!! 3- The garage is always open. A staff member hit our car and scratched it so we had to call the police. Then the responsible from the hotel didn’t even know that the car was from a staff member! And the staff member shouldn’t even park there! But the gate is always open…nobody knows why. It could even be dangerous to people or cars but its like that… 4- Yellow stains on the whole blanket - it was washed properly and I believe it's no health hazard, but it just looks awful for a 5 star hotel. 5- The jacuzzi has the lowest massage function I have ever seen. It's really just a hot tub without massage. 6- The spa is very SMALL! If you go there in Up Season you won't have place to get there. There were numerous couples who tried to enter but there was no place left. 7- Walls completely destroyed by humidity, where you see that the building has an absolute lack of maintenance.
Pros: The hotel has many pools , though the weather was not good enough to enjoy the outside ones.
Cons: Not a "warm place". The construction looks "tired", with paiting demanding a restoration. We were 3 groups with a lot of kids. For our deception, the hotel closed the indoor family pool and gym during a whole morning to take picture to promote itself. And our families just lost one of the 3 days of enjoyment in the pool. I was reading to the pool at 8:30 and was informed that there would be some picture and film works and the familities woul be closed between 9am and 1pm. I asked to have a 30min swim, and unbeliveable the hotel reception didn't allow me to go. No need to mention that at 9:20 there were still nobody working on the facilities. Total lack of consideration for the guests. Another unacceptable event was having an employee of the hotel knocking out room door at 22:30hr to charge for the lunch we had earlier on the hotel Bar... I told her that was our 1st night and we have already paid for 3 nights, so there was no need to woke the role family at that time.... Ridiculous.

Pros: The staff is nice and prompt. The location is good, near the sport complex and the riverside.
Cons: The room was in a very hot part of the building.
Pros: Staff. ROOM SPACE and confortable
Pros: Location is good. Staff are friendly. Plenty of free Parking. 24 hour front desk. Hot water always available. Having a hot shower did not steam up the bathroom mirror.
Cons: Even when I told reception that I was going out for 3 hours (as they had requested) my room had still not been cleaned when I returned. It seems that you have to go out for at least 4 hours to get your room cleaned, this is unacceptable. There was no wholemeal bread available at breakfast. The shower cubicle is very difficult to get in and out of, and very cramped when inside.
Pros: Modern, clean and comfortable rooms, all the staff were so friendly and always on hand to help in anyway
Pros: Only stayed for one night. The service was great.
Cons: It was a pleasant stay!
