10.0 Excellent
Pros: The homeliness, spontaneity, authenticity and directness is what we are looking for and find here. By Olivier and Leila. The place on the river, the "petit dejeuner", the safety place for the motorcycle, ... there are a lot of reasons to come back. Ream friendly people is what we need on this world. Thanks. Wishes you both the best. W @ Ch
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is old, and full of character and charm. Olivier has restored/modernised it sensitively without compromising the character.
Cons: A stronger wi fi signal is the only small thing I would improve.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Delightful hosts, a spectacularly good breakfast (a cheeseboard and homemade pancakes and jams, as well as the usual range of bread, pastries, yoghurts and fruit) and we much enjoyed our cold beers down by the river after a long drive. Our downstairs room was dark and not huge, but it was very comfortable, and lovely and cool despite it being mid-30s outside. The spacious bathroom (shower and basin) was inside the appt, but the loo was just outside, at the foot of the stairs to the appt above. This didn't bother us, but it might bother others.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were wonderful; lovely rooms and although close to the motorway it is quiet and very secluded.
Cons: Not a dislike as the crepes for breakfast were enjoyable but if there was also fruit and or cereals then a 10 out 10 rating would be achieved

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Best home made breakfast and coffee!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful 4 nights at this maison, from the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The owner, Natalie speaks perfect English and she is a fabulous host. The room was perfectly presented, the breakfast is a joint effort with Philippe (Natalie's husband) making the most wonderful crepes for the guests before he leaves for work, fresh fruit (grown on the property), homemade jam's, yogurt and bread-pudding, plus bread, cereal and croissants make breakfast a real highlight! The property is only a short distance from local shops, restaurants, and bars, and yet is situated in beautiful countryside. I can not recommend La Suzannerie enough, we will certainly return.
Cons: There are only two things I don't like: 1. That we couldn't stay longer. 2. That my review might mean more people stay and on our next trip they are fully booked!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Small and friendly bed and breakfast, the owner is fluent in English and very helpful and chatty. Delightful room furnished and decorated with local antiques, comfy bed, tea and coffee, fridge and microwave, excellent bathroom. Beautiful garden, great breakfast and place to sit outside in the sun.
Cons: Everything was lovely.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were beautifully decorated and clean. The biggest welcome in the morning and the best breakfast for a large family including a baby. We all left very happy, very full and the whole experience made our day. My kids still talk about the fossils and helping water the garden. Thank you, we will be back.

Pros: The breakfast was wonderful - lots of attention to detail and plenty to eat. The location was good in that we needed to stay somewhere between Caalais and our final destination i.e. near Perigeux.
Cons: The room was very hot - despite there being a big fan. We opened the windows as it was so hot but that was a mistake as the amount of heavy traffic passing by made it almost impossible to sleep. Not the fault of the property that it was so hot!

7.5 Good
Pros: Difficult to find even with sat nav Breakfast was fair
Cons: Room was very very hot.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully renovated bedrooms in a converted coach house in the grounds of the owners Manoir. No restaurant on site, but the option of a meal tray is good, a satisfying 4 course evening meal for a good price. Very welcoming owner, also speaks English. A good breakfast is served in the renovated Orangerie.
Cons: A little quiet and isolated. The meal is prepared ready to reheat, but is not served to you. Remember to take your own bottle of wine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very friendly and recommended a fabulous restaurant for our evening meal in the old city breakfast was excellent and the room was absolutely perfect the murals were magnificent (the food was great as well)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A very nice overnight stay. Host was very helpful. Despite the hot weather there were coolers in the room. Breakfast in the Orangerie was great!
Cons: Nothing to do with the hotel, but Le Mans taxis stink! At 10pm waited for 1 hour (yes, ONE hour!) to get a taxi back to the hotel. Is this tourist friendly?
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast excellent Extreme hospitality by the owner Nice location (inside the green)
Cons: Location was difficult to find by the navigation system A broom would help to clean the floor due to dirty shoes
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location in the grounds of a chateau. Pierre the host was extremely helpful, and did everything he could to make our stay comfortable. He also provided excellent restaurant recommendations for Le Mans. Breakfast in the Orangerie was lovely. The building was charming, the room was very comfortable and well appointed.
Cons: We stayed during the June heatwave with temperatures of 39 degrees that evening in LeMans - unfortunately the room did not have air conditioning. Pierre did provide fans which helped. If these temperatures become a norm in the future (hopefully not) then air conditioning might be a worthwhile investment.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The setting was quiet. The room was fine but, on an extremely hot day, there was no air conditioning although two fans had been provided. The use of kitchen facilities was welcome to prepare a meal.
Cons: No air conditioning. No wine glasses provided in the kitchen. The outdoor seating area was really a car park and needed a lot of upgrading to make it pleasant for residents to eat their meals - provide good outdoor furniture and parasols for shade and provide a pleasant patio area..

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spot less and very very friendly
Cons: Nothing to not like about it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location, excellent breakfast
Cons: A bit too B&B for our tastes. Could do with more personal space.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Terrible WIFI overpriced
5.5 Okay
Pros: Breakfast, kettle in room.
Cons: Plastic cups, felt everything was minimal. Little things would have made a big difference at little cost. A carafe of water with a glass, more teabags, coffee, some milk. A book of local walks, restaurants etc., not just mass printed tourist board brochures. Personal touch lacking. Not up to standard for price. Too cold for a shower.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The welcome and interest from the owners of this family B&B was lovely. The house is well maintained in lovely grounds in a small rural village. The inclusive breakfast was simple but tasty, with a lovely selection of home-made jams.
Cons: Although this was not a problem for us, be aware that the owners do not take debit or credit cards. Cash Only. Also, the hosts' English (still better than my French) is not fluent. They make up for that with interest and effort!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful host. Lovely homemade jams and yoghurt for breakfast. Good value for money.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast - nice big crossaints, homemade yoghurt & jams
Cons: It states there is WIFI throughout - there is not. Had to come out of bedroom, walk across to the other side of the house and then you get a signal - clearly not ideal! The bathroom stunk of drains, couldn't wait to have a quick shower and get out of there!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The warm welcome and friendliness of the hosts. Very helpful in accommodating my friend's dietary requirements. Warm, comfortable and clean room. Lovely surroundings and wildlife in the garden.
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The most amazing nights sleep in the best bed we have ever slept in... so good we slept through breakfast. A day in Le Mans and the race track followed by dinner and a night spent here. We travel across Spain and France often taking the motorcycle and so a good hotel is always welcome.... but this place provided the best night sleep so far. The room had such a sweet smell and superbly clean. Great shower too. A very Warm welcome and fabulous surroundings made this such a pleasant stay. Close to Le Mans at 6k so a short ride in and easy to find... should we ever be in Le Mans again we will absolutely for sure be staying here. Very much recommended. Thank you for having us!

Pros: The room/the staff/the location
Cons: Bit of a pain having to travel into town for meal with difficult parking near good restaurants
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was wonderful. The design of the new buildings is completely sympathetic and complements the original chateau building. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, even preparing dinner because it was a holiday and everywhere was closed.
Cons: It was perfect, nothing to dislike.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful gardens and peaceful location
Cons: No restaurants or coffee shops nearby
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious rooms in a professionally run hotel with a great breakfast.
Cons: The windows open but not secure from intruders so didn’t feel able to leave them open all night or when room not occupied. Not a reason not to stay but might be an issue if staying for a while in warm weather.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A personal service throughout, we felt very welcome, almost as if we were special guests. We were given a choice of rooms, both which were unique and very different to each other. Excellent location with the beautiful historic Le Mans on the doorstep, even though the chateau feels a million miles away from anywhere.
Cons: No restaurant but no problem as Le Mans has ample places to dine. Not entirely true when it came to breakfast though as we had a personal one to one service with a wonderful continental breakfast in the beautiful dining room.

Pros: Nice comfortable room and a good stop over for travelling home. Good breakfast.

Pros: Excellent quality 'continental' breakfast. Good bread, croissants, ham, cheese etc. Hosts are friendly & helpful. The back door of the room lead straight on to a terrace with table and chairs and canopy we parked the car about 30ft away. The dog could leave the room by the back door and play in the wooded / grass area behind the room. The main house and breakfast room where beautiful. The owner was friendly and helpful. Pros: We loved the quirkiness of the Safari room. The breakfast in the neighbouring pretty, stylish and historic 'mini-chateau' was excellent and the owner friendly and attentive.

6.8 Good
Pros: Beautiful old Chateau in lovely grounds . Food good especially the a la Carte choice . Good bathroom facilities.
Cons: Greeted by a pretty unhelpful receptionist who seemed intent on just giving us a key . Not shown to our room no help with luggage. Dreadfully slow service at dinner taking our choices - not even offered a drink of water for 30 minutes. Had to go up and ask . Given a read roll - no butter and advised you have to ask for butter??!! We ordered wine and when the food eventually came - no evidence of wine and when we complained she shouted at us ‘ it is coming ‘ . This particular person did obviously affect our general view of the hotel - she was the first person we met and she clearly had no people skills . Some staff in the morning had a very different and helpful attitude
9.5 Excellent
Cons: No air con in our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Classy and stylish. Safe to park trailer on long trip.
Cons: Nothing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful chateaux & grounds peacefully away from the motorway. A delightful overnight stop when heading south. Friendly charming and helpful staff. Small but very adequate and comfortable room in the Orangery.
Cons: Nothing really, but worth noting the climb up steep stairs to our room, fine for us though. Also trust your SatNav, very loopy route off motorway but gets there in the end.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent and the waiters were very attentive.
Cons: The room wasn't in the main house.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location. It seems to be an old country residence, or something. The rooms are scattered across the site in several buildings. Quite nice grounds to wander across on the way to breakfast
Cons: It was unseasonably hot when I stayed (43°C). The room had no air-conditioning. I would say it was dangerously hot in the room. If I was elderly, or in poor health I might have (literally) been in mortal danger. They’d provided a fan, but it was totally ineffective against the intense heat and humidity. The prevailing weather conditions are not really the fault of the hotel, but they should definitely consider upgrading all rooms with air-conditioning!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Large car park suitable for trailers. Nice restaurant with good food. Very attractive grounds.
Cons: Rooms were small and stuffy. Bathroom carpet was soaked through on arrival and nothing was done even though we reported it. Staff poorly trained and had to be found and asked to carry out even routine service such as taking orders for drinks

Pros: Very well appointed, lovely location. Great for a quiet getaway very handy for the town of Le Mans
6.3 Good
Pros: Comfortable rooms (outside main building). Choice for dinner was limited, but quality was good and good wine.
Cons: At night, insufficient light near the auxiliary buildings, which make it difficult to find the path and see the room numbers. Floor, in the otherwise comfortable bathroom, was rather cold, probably due to age of the building.
6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is conveniently located close to the motorways. The main building as well as the grounds look beautiful. Breakfast was good and parking free.
Cons: I think I expected a bit more of the room (in the orangerie). Also, one criterion for choosing this hotel was their restaurant, which we unfortunately never had the chance to test because it was fully booked. The next closest restaurant was in Le Mans.

Pros: Location good for Autoroute
Cons: Poor room and not very clean
8.0 Excellent

5.7 Okay
Pros: The building looks impressive on arrival and reception girl was really driendly and helpful.
Cons: The reception looked like a YMCA! After arriving at such an impressive building, the interior is modern and has been replaced with a contempory hotel fit out.The room was fine, but lacked any period features, cheap carpet. Road nearby which could be heard at night. Expensive for what it offers.
