i have just returned from a weeks stay at the apartmentos paradise beach and i have to say i was very pleasantly surprised. first impressions of the out side of the front of the building weren't great there is currently a disused room at the front and the sign could do with being re painted. this was however a classic case of don't judge a book by its cover. the hotel is immaculate, even down to the man who sweeps up pine needles everyday from the pool areas and walkways. the food was adequate and plentiful. if you pay 3* prices and expect anything other than 3* food then you may be a little disappointed. that said there was plenty of variation and all of our party of somewhat fussy eaters were able to find something they liked every meal.
The reception staff were excellent and has prepares food for our arrival as we arrived after midnight The entire hotel was focused on the german guests, the signs were german the entertainment and music was german the food selection was mainly german and as is typical te german guests dominated the pool area with their towels by 7 each morning and then dissapered untill 10
The food was excellent we recommend all inclusive. The room was big and was having possibility for 4 beds. The room seem to be fresh renovated. The minibar was pretty big but you don't need it if you have all inclusive. All the rooms are having balcony and view to the pools/sea. It is close to sea. The pools are nice. The location is not so good: the area is isolated so a car would be recommended and also all inclusive. There are some pipes which are going trough the room(not visible) which are having no soundproof so they can be annoying. The safe is 2.5Eu/day.They don't provide shampoo. They have less hair driers then the numbers of the room, we got one only 2 days B4 departure. The WI-FI internet connection was free but is available only in the lobby. The room is cleaned only each 2 days. The water in the pools was colder then the water of the sea; they should warm the water at least in the children pool in September. The time schedule of the meals didn't fit so much with our options. The after midnight entertainment was to noisy and it disturbed our sleep
I choose this hotel despite having no reviews for its location and I was not disappointed. The studios are roomy and immaculate with large terraces and lovely sea and pool views. I went on fully inclusive and found the food very acceptable - excellent breakfast and the beach bar served snacks throughout the day. The pools were excellent particually the top one - an ideal depth for 7 year olds and quieter. The hotel is predomently German but a few English were there independantly and I travelled with my 7year old daughter on my own and was made to feel very welcome and felt very safe. The entertainment was on the whole good if a little cheesy- but it was only a ten minute stroll to the main square of Portinatx. The desserts could be improved but their was always a selection of fresh fruit and ice-creams so I wouldn't let it put you off and feel it is good value for money - I never bought a meal out and a basic picnic was offered for excursions.
Location. Views and proximity to natural surroundings. Limited utensils for self catering. ie. no plates/bowels, adequate cutlery, no toaster, kettle despite having a cooker.
Great location. The entertainment was great for children, both during day and evening. Food & drink offered was good, preferred the fish to the meat dishes. If you have a pushchair not many rooms with easy access, too many steps and not enough ramps . Also room service was not consistent, had to chase for towels, soap toilet paper. Opening times of restaurant at lunch & diner too short especially at busy times, hard to get a table.
We thought the food, drink, service, staff, pool were excellent We thought the room was fairly basic
Great location, good entertainment both during the day and in the evening, great for kids. Too many steps especially if you had a pushchair and did not get a room at ground level. Not enough tables & chairs for the evening entertainment also the "normal" towels on all the sun-loungers by 7am!!
All inclusive includes alcoholic drinks, location is superb, food is excellent. Must bring own poolside/beach towels?!?! No daily shampoo or soap (once a week) ?!?! Location is isolated with respect to _everything_ in Ibiza, so transport is hard and expensive, to anywhere.
Location to Portinax, easy access to beach. Very limited and repetitive food choices. Hotel is better for families - too many children for adults to use the pools.
Setting is lovely, choice and quality of food and drinks outstanding. An excellent place to chill out there is nothing that i did not like
The food was very good and plentiful. The best part was the entertainments team, they worked hard all day and night. The shows were great, a bit cheesy, but were lots of fun for adults and kids the door didn't lock properly to the accomodation and would open when locked with a bit of force. Told reception who said this was normal???? Hotel is some distance from portinax town the walk into town is all downhill which isn't too bad but then you have to climb back up. pool areas are small and beds are on top of one another, the small pool is the best not too busy. The beach would be great if it had some sand on it.
