Villa Moments - Guest House

Beautiful spacious stately home, gold room was large and private with a nice jacuzzi in bathroom and huge private terrace. The host, Carlos took his time to recommend great restaurants.

Although breakfast was ok, was disappointed to find that eggs were gone by 9 30, when I told Bernadette there were no eggs left she said it would take 15 minutes to make more boiled eggs, to which I said that’s ok, we don’t mind the wait. But she then offered to make scrambled eggs which were delicious

Villa Moments. It's not a Hotel and it's not a Bed & Breakfast but something far more interesting - a villa divided into suites with wonderful communal spaces, and no staff staying on-site. We had the suite with the large terrace and opulent bathroom (almost Art Deco) with the jacuzzi (but sadly no shower). The room was well appointed and had a large comfortable bed. Breakfast on the outside terrace was great with plenty of choice (even providing Gluten Free options). The pool was a little chilly in mid-september but still nice and refreshing. The back garden and communal space were most welcome as was the games room, book shelf and piano. Located away from the main strip of Praia da Rocha it was in a quiet neighbourhood. The staff that we encountered were all friendly and helpful and Bernadette's cheery attitude certainly livened up breakfast. Although we didn't use it the kitchenette looked well equipped and is a great idea for when you don't want to eat out.

Breakfast was super good! The building is so beautiful, it feels like you have the villa for your own. Bed was super comfortable and the shower was fine. Nothing else is needed for us. Would love to go back.

We had a shower in the bath, something we not prefer. However, the shower was good!

- very good breakfast - lovely rooms - very nice staff - 10 minutes walk to the beach (praia da rocha) - nice restaurants and bars around - 15-20 minutes walk to the city centre of portimao - very well located in a quiet area
