Locks on the door. Toddler kept getting out. Needs a chain lock on the top. Found a dirty sock on the floor from the last guest. Coffee stains on the comforter also not ours. Beds were very uncomfortable. I felt like the beds were made and not changed.
Out of Downtown, but very close. Near Light-Rail and Max lines. Several breweries nearby and soooo close to the Pearl District.
Older facility, needs some upgrades. Entrance is hard to navigate with crutches, walker or wheelchair.
Clean, comfortable rooms. Quiet. Good location - convenient to everything we wanted to see. Free parking. Really nice staff.
I wish check-in was earlier. Most places have some flexibility there. But, it's a smaller place and if they can't, they can't.
The bathroom wax clean and looks new
Might need to update the blanket covers
Ample free parking, comfortable rooms, friendly staff,
I didn't like having to go through the lobby to get to my room.
Location is very nice - a lot of public transportation in walking distance.
It smells like an old hotel...
I have stayed here every time I have come to Portland for a Blazers game since 2013. This hotel always has wildly different pricing, when I booked this room the Shilo site was advertising $120, I paid $80 on Kayak. It's only a 5 minute walk to the Moda Center and the streetcar stop is right out front. Rooms are always clean and never get the "Oh crap, bedbugs" vibe.
Bagels with no cream cheese?? Really guys? And a 19" CRT? Pop for a TV from this century, even The Campus Inn in Eugene has LCD's.
Comfortable bed. Clean
No abc, cbs, or nbc. Had to go to the crowne plaza to watch badketball. Staff did not acknowledge us. Staff put leftover guest butter out for breakfast.
The front desk was very friendly. Close to Moda Center and restaurants.
We had no hot water in the morning. The breakfast bar was now replenished in a timely manner. We are supposed to be getting a 50% refund from you because we had no hot water.
We were looking for a decent place to stay at a decent rate, should have skipped the rate part! The first hostess was less than friendly and seemed quite irritated with people trying to check in. The next hostess was friendly but new to the hotel and unfamiliar with the area. The room was clean but smelled horribly of mildew. The location is great, but look elsewhere for a room even if you plan to spend your time exploring Portland.
Very convenient location, good price
Not very clean in the entrance, worn building
The hotel has been recently remodeled so everything in the rooms is new and clean. It's location was excellent. We used public transportation the whole time we were there (9 days) and never had any problem getting from the hotel to where we wanted to go. There really isn't a better combination of value and comfort this close to downtown.
The room smelled a bit musty but that would go away when you turned on the A/C or fan.
Clean and comfortable. Great value for money!
Front desk person could have been more informed and helpful regarding transport, local areas of interest etc.
It was within easy walking distance of the convention center.
We reserved a room with two beds and got a king-sized bed and a sleeper sofa. The sleeper sofa was atrociously uncomfortable and so I slept on the narrow sofa without opening it up the 2nd and 3rd nights. The bathroom was tiny, and though I hung up my towels to use again (as the sign instructed), they were replaced daily. That's not very eco-friendly.
