Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First, the staff was friendly, courteous, and very helpful (almost like we were old friends). The room was large and very comfortable, and was ready early which was a plus. The breakfast was well worth the price and very satisfying. On any future trip to Brest this is where we will stay!
Cons: This may sound like I'm being paid to do this review, but, honestly, I cannot think of one thing to complain about (and no, I'm not being paid in any form to write this review).
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff and convenient location.

Cons: Old facilities
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly person at the reception when I arrived. She pointed me the sightseeing places and reminded me about the celebratory fireworks in the harbor later in the evening. Private parking. Breakfast.
Cons: Bathtub was in an awful state. Shower wall was ruined, there were holes on it since you could not turn the water on/off without pushing the tab to the wall.I mean, how can anyone install it like that. The bathroom really needs to be renovated. I think it's against regulations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Elegant boutique hotel in the heart of Brest. Big beautiful rooms (ours had a view of the harbor).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, in the middle of the city, everything can be reached on foot, three minutes from the central station. Amazing breakfast for a couple of Euros. The staff bend backwards and are delightful. Very neat, tidy rooms, spacious bathrooms.

Cons: Not enough employees at breakfast time ....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A fine location. The dunes and dramatic shore. The food. The helpful staff. It's a very good hotel in a small town. We would be happy to return. The only caution would be to try to reserve a room on the dunes (sea) side, not on the front entrance (main street) side.
Cons: A safe in the room.
6.8 Good
Pros: Location of the hotel is awesome!
Cons: The location of the hotel is awesome, but this was unfortunately the only thing we found worthwhile to highlight during our stay of four days. We have been asked at check-in to book a table at the restaurant and we made a reservation for dinner on our last day after requesting and getting a confirmation upfront that a vegetarian meal is possible for my partner, but more to come later. We had after first night a water damage in the bathroom of our room at around 6:30 am, water (about 2 liters per minute) ran out of the heater and it took the staff more than an hour to stop it. While waiting, we helped the staff with towels to prevent water flowing into the bedroom and we received for that a free breakfast with eggs and croissants already running out at 9 am. We have been asked every day if we want to book a table at the restaurant and dinner on our last day was also unforgetable. We were seated at 8 pm, the order was taken at 8:30 pm, only a 3 courses menu was available, I reminded the waitress about my partner being a vegetarian and ordered in addition to the meals, a 1l bottle of sparkling water (for 10€) and a glass of red wine (for 12€). Sparkling water came at 9 pm, starters came at 9:30 pm and there was ham in the soup for my partner. The food though was excellent, but when the main course came, I had to remind the waitress that I also ordered a glass of red wine. At checkout, we found a breakfast on the invoice which we didn't have, but it was immediately corrected. I think the person at the frontdesk wanted to apologize for all the inconveniences caused, but he said that in French knowing that we don't speak and understand French.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If the vision of nowaday luxury is purity, charm and simplicity of quality natural materials in combination with perfect services and no touch of snobism (our is). And everything is crowded by fantastic and "magnifique" simply menu dinner prepared by famous French chef from the best quality ingredients from known sources. And as a very valuable and important bonus is that hotel is market as eco and sustainable and prices are very friendly. Big Yes to this hotel network. :) We loved our stay there a lot. They have the most comfortable beds ever.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our friends recommended this hotel to us thus our expectations were set quite high before we came. We spent only one night of our holidays in this hotel but in most ways it fulfilled all of our expectations. The location, views and size, style and comfort of the room are all very fine and created really relaxing atmosphere. The dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good. Morning walk through dunes was great!
10.0 Excellent

9.3 Excellent
Pros: All in all the hotel was lovely and the location beautiful. I particularly liked the homely feeling of the bar area and the staff made us feel very welcome. The food in the restaurant was outstanding.
Cons: Damaged carpet in the hallway brought the rating down from perfect 5 stars and the hotel was advertised with spa facilities which were unavailable to us on the night we stayed.

Pros: After checking-in, I asked if it would be possible to change to a room with a desk. The staff were very helpful and gave me a new room with a desk. They also gave excellent help on things like maps, bus routes and travelling to the airport. The other main plus points are that the hotel is in a convenient , central location but is also really quiet - there was no noise from either the street or from inside. Also the breakfast was excellent and available very early if needed.

Cons: Not enough convenient power outlets in room for charging pc and phone. Very limited choice of foreign TV channels, No clock in room (important for business guests). Not enough towels and very limited shelf and hanging space in bathroom. Cost of Breakfast should be included in room price by default not vice versa.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a small, provincial hotel located in a major regional center, Brest. The hotel is "state of the art" new and immaculate. The staff is warm and welcoming. I was delighted with the property. It met my needs -- completely. It was quiet, too!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast could do with more variety, scramble eggs, sausages, french toast....The breakfast to me was the same thing everyday and the things were mostly sweet.
Cons: provide different things
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location and cleaness
Cons: I booked two rooms at this hotel. As most hotels in France, it has the policy of waranty deposit, although usually they do not debit your card. But not this hotel! Instantly after the booking, they tried to block 200€ from my card (100€ for each room), but I did not have the amount available. I saw this in that moment, so I topped up the card and at their second trial, they succeeded to block the amount. We arrived at the hotel around 00.30. A lady welcomed us and during the check in she told us that she made us a favour by keeping the reservation as no deposit appears in her system. I showed her the statement from my bank, but she wouldn’t listen, not even try to understand, as it was written in English and she spoke only French. She was getting on my nerves and I told her that it was not fair and it’s a problem with her system, but still, I gave her again on POS the deposit for my room. But for the second room I didn’t agree with her to give her again the deposit. At that point, she threated us to call the police and not even check us in. More disturbing was the fact that she was saying that she has to take the deposit because we are strangers (not French). Really??? I believe she did not hear about discrimination until now, although France is a very tolerant country. Therefore she called a manager or something and, as she was explaining him the situation, she started to calm down a little. Still, she did not check us in until we gave her the card for the second room deposit. This is how we got in the situation to have blocked 400€ for a hotel which considers itself 4 stars, but in my opinion is not more than 3 stars with some staff’s attitude of 1 star. I travelled a lot in Europe, specially France, but never got in such situation. The next morning, I told the reception staff the situation, they did not know anything about it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic. Very friendly staff. Very clean everywhere.
Cons: Not enough racks to hang towels. Room was rather small.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were well insulated against noise
Cons: The restaurant had a limited menu

8.7 Excellent (87 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Breles, Auberge de bel air is by the sea, a 5-minute drive from Melon Beach and 7 minutes from Golf de Brest Les Abers. Free self parking is available onsite.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: I can imagine it would be a pretty location in good weather.
Cons: The main reason we booked was because there was a restaurant which had good reviews. However, it was closed on the Monday when we stayed. The owners weren't friendly. One of them did not even acknowledge us. The breakfast was quite poor. Croissants not fresh and over-ripe bananas in the fruit bowl which I would not serve to anyone. The room was cold and there was no bar. Sadly an all-round disappointment.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful garden right next to the water. The food was excellent.
Cons: A bit isolated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful garden in ideal location. Friendly hostess. Delicious meals.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: The outdoor facilities were untidy and made more unsatisfactory by the shrieking of the peacocks as well as their droppings. The hosts were offhand and the venue did not live up to the photographs displayed. Poor value for money
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Every thing about this property was nice a real gem .the river view from bedroom was attractive as was the garden with goat -peacock-geese -chickens -on site good walking area . Great location.
Cons: Evening meal was expensive -to many extras to pay for.
7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely location the property runs down to the river with a very restful ambience. Fantastic food - one of the best menus we’ve ever had. Rooms simple and traditional French but comfortable. We cycled here and the Auberge is perfectly situated on the cycle route V5 Littoral
Cons: The owner, (who is also the fantastic chef), and his wife do not easily relate to their guests, and can appear cool and un-welcoming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room, common spaces and grounds. Run by a true gourmet chef and his family. The dinner was superb with an amazing wine list all at more than fair prices.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The property is located on a tidal inlet and the coastal walk trail, in a 150+/- years old former mill. The area is fairly rural and very peaceful. Numerous paleolithic sites are in the area, too. The owners prepare excellent dinners with reservations the day before.
Cons: Only criticism is that the queen-size bed in our room is very soft and the mattress may be due for replacement soon.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A charming place, with character. We spent lovely two night in the Auberge and enjoyed both the quality of the accomodation and the wonderful food.
5.7 Okay
Pros: Situation was delightful on the edge of a tidal cove able to watch fish popping out of the water 200m away and egrets and white herons fishing. Extremely quiet and peaceful. Route cotier passes by the boundary. Hotel grounds very interesting.
Cons: breakfast

Cons: The air inlet was in the hallway part of the room. The air didn’t reach the bed. So, even though it was not hot outside, it was warm inside. Room really quiet, couldn't hear the traffic from the road at all. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice continental breakfast. Lots of restaurants in the port nearby. All in all a really pleasant place to stay.
Cons: Room was a tad on the small side, but well organised and practical, so not an issue. Remember to book a parking spot when booking the room as places are limited.

Cons: The fact that it is smaller than expected. The bathroom and particularly the shower are awful. You can hardly get inside the shower so bad is the door. A tall or just a bit fat person could not get in and out of the shower. This is extremly unconfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room is spacious and airy. There are all necessary supplies. Convenient location, the residence takes 3-minute to the bus station by walk.
Cons: No hair dryer
5.8 Okay
Pros: Price was ok and the room was according to expetations
Cons: Well the walls between the room are extremely thin... Any... Really any single noise is like to be in the room, so this aspect is very bad unfortunately, all the rest was fine according to the known info. Parking of the car can also be problematic... Very few are available in the nearby.

Pros: Perfect place for short trip, bed was comfortable, internet works fine, everything was clean and new.

Pros: The hotel fits perfectly into the definition of a IBIS Budget hotel. You have all the basics that you need and nothing else.
Cons: However, there is a big drawback with this specific hotel: its location. It is located just across the street of several night clubs. Hence, during the night, it is extremely loudly outside, and also dangerous. I have seen several group fights at 6 am in the morning while walking to the marina.
