Pros: Breakfast was good, with lovely homemade jam and the coffee, despite being in a large vacumn flask (usually horrible) was good, too.

Pros: Located in the Norman countryside, just outside Falaise. Exquisite gardens, with hare and deer wandering across the lawn at sunrise and sunset. Buildings date from as early as 1774, but have been renovated and modernized. The owners went out of their way to be helpful, booking a (very good) restaurant for us downtown for dinner, and preparing breakfast for us earlier than the usual time to facilitate our schedule.
Cons: Two single mattresses on a double bed.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good restaurant - top cuisine, good wine list and reasonably priced. Generous breakfast. Room somewhat dated but clean and comfortable. On site parking at no cost.
Cons: The lack of an elevator will be bad news for anyone with walking difficulties. Third floor only for the agile.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I liked the general ambiance of the property. It was old French in character but everything worked well. The hostess was charming when we arrived very late although she had stayed up for us for an hour after closing. We were so appreciative as we had had a long drive and were delayed inadvertently. No elevator but she insisted in carrying our luggage up three flights of stairs. It was hospitality at its best. The furnishings were older, but the room was very spacious and the outlook was a very pleasant Park around and large Manoir opposite. We were near the Chateaux of William the Conquered but unfortunately did not have the time to visit. Breakfast was good, not cooked but plenty of choice including fruit, croissants, pain and pastries and juice and coffee. Located in the middle of the pleasant village of Falaise just a five minute drive from the main road to Alencon, La Mans and the south. We will stay again.
Cons: I look kedeverything.

Cons: We were at the end of the heatwave and air-conditioning may have helped.
