Pros: location
Cons: very loud neighbor slamming doors from 3 am on. Never saw anyone who worked there the whole time we were there. No one at check in just our key left at desk with my name on it and no one when we checked out. Very strange.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a great place for a traveler or a family on a budget -- who would rather not sink all of the vacation money into an expensive hotel. It was clean and comfortable -- and there is a feeling that a family really owns this, runs this, and cares very much about the satisfaction of every customer. Very gracious welcome and helpful throughout. This is our second time back -- it's not super-deluxe, but we feel guaranteed a comfortable, well-priced welcome.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Manager (Suni) was most pleasant. The site during this spring season was most pleasant. Beautiful lawn large lawn. Lovely stream alongside the property which would have been great for relaxing or picnicking if we'd had more time.

Pros: Picturesque environment. Friendly and kind front desk who gave us dinner restaurant recommendations. Close proximity to downtown Williamstown, just a 2 mile drive. Decent breakfast. Cute country style inn.
Cons: Old, a little dated and worn, but overall acceptable.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location is great! Quiet for most part despite being off a main road.
Cons: Too pricey!! And for nothing. It was just a motel! Carpets were stained, room was tight, shower stall was cracked, the toileteries were basic...it was just too much money for what was offered. Breakfast was also so basic. There was no sign of fresh fruit even...All in all, way too pricey for the offerings!
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast area was very nice and you also have the option of eating outside on the terrace. Loved the old fashioned china and silverware that they used. Coffee was very good.
Cons: I wasn’t planning on swimming, but the pool was in such bad condition that I couldn’t even if I had wanted to. I’m sure that it is necessary, but the dehumidifier going on and off all night was annoying.

Cons: Room was very dark even with all the lights on - Room #11 could benefit greatly with an overhead (ceiling) light fixture!

Pros: Nice breakfast

Cons: We were satisfied.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was very easy to find. The furnishings were a bit dated but everything was very clean. The beds were comfortable and there were windows for good ventilation. (our visit was in July) Breakfast was simple but presented with homey charm and of good quality. This small country inn was charming.
Cons: The pool area was groomed and the pool pretty clean, but all was dated and worn. The room was small and the carpet needed replacing. With some updates and maintenance this will be a gem.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The breakfast needs an upgrade - fresh fruit, granola, better baked goods.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location.
Cons: Was not as portrayed in photos or desertion. Extremely small space for the price. Advertised as having full tub when in fact bathroom was quite small with small shower. Room was musty and desperately needed to be updated. The hosts were very nice but that did not make up for how disappointing the accommodations were.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: What you pay is what you get
Cons: Warm water is slow and not quite warm

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very friendly. The rooms are huge and very clean
Cons: Breakfast is included and had a decent selection. A touch above a pure continental breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazingly accommodating! But when you book, make sure to request the NEW SIDE OF THE BUILDING. The old side is... Old.
Cons: My fiancé and I wet first assigned to a room in the old side or the building. It just felt a little sad and tired. I called the front desk and the lovely clerk IMMEDIATELY switched our room to a new one which was great. Luckily we were there for a couple days that weren't too busy but if they can help you, they will. Seriously nice staff.

4.3 Okay
Pros: The location of the motel was perfect for my purpose.
Cons: The mattress was like a rock, the tv didn’t work the first night and the motel owner could not get it operating. I would not return to this business.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Large rooms and comfortable bedding.
Cons: Rented room with a fireplace but they had turned of the gas so not working. Temps still in the 40s at night. Would have been nice to use the fireplace. Also the water temp was turned down to the tub so unable to take a warm bath- very disappointing after being out in the cold rainy weather all day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, quiet atmosphere, bathrobe and slippers provided. Like most hotels, lighting a bit dim, but not unpleasantly so.
Cons: I have stayed here many times over ten years, and have not had cause to complain yet.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Good shower. Comfortable bed
Cons: Air conditioning broke. When fixed, it was unconscionably loud. Building was threadbare. Ran out of toilet paper. Too overpriced for what was included. Sad to see such a good place go downhill.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Traditional style of hotel was so fitting for the New England area. Large rooms offered lots of space. Attention to all details in design of rooms made stay easy. Loved the huge bathroom with double vanities. This room had nice view of center courtyard pond and garden with gas fireplace. Good restaurant on property and great breakfast. Staff could not have been nicer or more helpful
Cons: Nothing
6.8 Good
Pros: They have a double charging station for electric cars. One for Tesla and one for standard chargers like mine, a BMW. Thank you! Rooms 322, 324, 326 have great views. Rooms are large, bathrooms with double sinks... But
Cons: So shabby, really needs maintenance and general upgrades of finishes, lighting, plumbing fittings and exterior deterioration such as missing chipping in the pool. No restaurant or bar. Closed a week ago. Free continental breakfast as a substitute.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent! Dinner was great. Our room was very spacious and the setup was exceptional. Loved the fact that there was a tub and a shower stall and two sets of sinks.
Cons: We didn't use the pool but the pool surrounding looked like it needed some maintenance.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: The pillows were super flat
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed.
Cons: Moldy shower curtain and pool was greenish.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The property is definitely in need of an upgrade and a need to be brought into the 21st century( maybe bathtub, toilet- really?). The bartender Allie was delightful- didn’t have any food in the restaurant due to recommendation from someone in town. The bed was too soft for my poor back.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is very close to where I need to be.
Cons: The hotel is starting to age and at this time there appears to be no work planned
7.5 Good
Pros: I enjoy being in Williamstown and this is a comfortable hotel. The staff was pleasant. The room was quiet. The reception room with piano and the outdoor central garden were all quaint.
Cons: Well, this hotel has been around for decades and it is in need of a "refresh". It looks dated. The bed was rather uncomfortable and needed to be replaced.

Pros: Beautiful facility! Comfortable and clean.

1.0 Poor
Pros: location
Cons: cleanliness and wifi not working
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Accommodations better than expected. Hotel manager went beyond the call of duty when I had difficulty with light switches - he replaced almost every light bulb in the room. Positives: bathtub, refrigerator, cable tv, breakfast in morning and location.
Cons: Although there was a thermostat in the room which I could control, I couldn't seem to get room temperature above the low 60s. I didn't ask for help though, and just put on an extra layer of clothing.

Pros: Convient to campus and the 'Clark Museum. Was available during an Alumni Event.
Cons: Bathroom was tiny.

Cons: Walls were paper thin. Bathroom was run down and both the bath and shower taps ran simultaneously. Carpet had stains on it. Room 229.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Worked hard to make our stay a pleasant one. Great location for exploring town. Relaxing environment.
Cons: Room hadn't been used very much so some issues but staff made up for it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I went to Williamstown for the theatre festival and it was right across the street. Quiet, comfortable, relaxing. Breakfast was enjoyable as was the AC & cable in my room. It was an affordable stay. :)
Cons: I wish there was an overhead light. There were only lamps. I also wish I had time to use the pool but I stayed for less than 24 hours. Next time!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Had a brand new AC unit in the room which worked very well Room was clean and beds were comfortable Great Location!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, it was a good price, if you are not looking for high-class place it would be perfect. We wouldn't stay there for more the a night or 2. You can walk from the MOTEL to the main street. The hosts are very generous.
Cons: There isn't nice place to sit out side ( there are tables but not private) The toilet and bath was low class, no view.
4.5 Okay
Pros: The waitress in the room were we had breakfast was very kind and tried to help us. The bathroom and linen were clean.

Cons: My pet peeve is the Comfortor/Blanket. I like nice new white comforters and they don't have them, which is OK, BUT, they are too old need a refresher. The sheets were crisp.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: staff is great
Cons: Beds were ROCK hard, alone with small Hard pillows. the worst hotel stay ever. I have been there many times before. when I brought it to the staff's attention. they just said thanks for letting me know. not good
6.8 Good
Cons: Very outdated facilities website pictures are deceiving
7.0 Good
Pros: Foods in 6 House Restaurant is excellent
Cons: There was a strange noise at night periodically and bothered us all night caused us loosing sleep. The sound seemed from some running equipment or machine and should never be there.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Best thing in the room was the new tile on the bathroom floor. Rest was ancient & hokey.
Cons: I drank gallons of beer in this place when I was an undergraduate at nearby Williams College in the FIFTIES, & this place was probably furnished & fitted THEN (70 years ago). Certainly looked that way. Time to update the rooms: trash the maple stuff, quilty bedcovers, and hokey cute stuff. Shower (though new) was a disaster, room was dark and dingy. Invest in some decent lamps WITH ADEQUATE LUMENS. Breakfast was just passable & attendant should wake up before she comes to work. Dinner night before was just not good.
6.3 Good
Pros: Overall, the place was OK. The location was great, and I think it has a lot of potential. The heavy rainy weather made the room I was in feel a little musty but I don't think that could be helped because of the location near the woods and along a small stream. I guess I was expecting more of a country inn feeling but this was really more of a motel. I liked that there was a covered porch and rockers spread along it to encourage sitting outside in nice weather. I think the owners were doing their best to keep up with the maintenance of the property but it's a tough business and a lot of work for a property that size. I was very pleased that the bathroom was spotless, and well equipped with a decent dryer and soaps etc. I think they were very willing to listen to and accommodate any reasonable requests from guests. Now that I know what to expect, I might stay there again because of the location to the things I like to do in the Berkshires and the reasonable rates for accommodations in that area.
Cons: I think the pub and restaurant could do with some more focus on cleaning -- again I realize this location is in the country, but the window sills near tables in the pub had an accumulation of little flies and small moths. A quick swipe with a Swiffer would work, but a polish cloth would be better. The patio area outside the restaurant also needed some TLC -- just a quick swipe with a leaf blower would be good, but some simple thoughtful weeding and landscaping would be better. The patio furniture was really not very inviting. Again, I imagine the owners will work to improve the appearance of things as they can afford to.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff was friendly
Cons: Wasn't what we expected
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing!
Cons: Not enough room to explain! Bad experience
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the babbling brook, the amazing fresh air
7.5 Good
Pros: It was great atmosphere and we were there for a wedding
Cons: Choice of Beverages could have been better and the coffee maker in room 20 did not brew .

4.5 Okay
Pros: Cheap, across from American legion.
Cons: Just run down and dirty, very little if anything being done for upkeep. Leaking fixtures, smelly rooms and carpets.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location. Period.
Cons: How much time do you have? Filthy for the first adjective. Carpet obviously only vacuumed the first 2 feet inside the door. Bathroom was full of mold and cracks the entire way around the shower/tub. Mold on the shower curtain which was several years old. Dust and grime everywhere on everything. TV only worked when it felt like it, Dish Network with zero instructions. One call to the front desk about that I was told to “follow the wires, unplug them all, count to 10 and plug them back in “. Didn’t work. All electrical outlets were either underneath furniture or behind furniture and totally unreachable so that you couldn’t plug chargeable items in except the shaver outlet in the bathroom. Non-existent WiFi. It was promised on line, over the phone, at the front desk, etc. there wasn’t any. The problem with that was also the LOCATION. Being in a deep valley in The Berkshires, there was also NO CARRIER SERVICE! Cell and laptops were USELESS. Calling the front desk, “go out in the parking lot. Hold your device up in the air until it shows a laddbrookinn WiFi. Attempt to get in it, then rush back into your room and it should work”. I’m not kidding. And the worst part. One end of the motel was populated with family members of the manager. With little kids. Lots of them. Running and screaming all night. The opposite end was populated with the housekeepers and their families. The room next to mine, which was the same size had 5 small children, 1 teenage girl, 2 women (house keepers)and 3-4-5 depending on the day and time, grown men who stayed they were fathers. These people not only stayed up ALL NIGHT LONG, but they were drinking heavily and smoking marijuana. I realize that I was in a small corner of Vermont but I didn’t know the drug or fireworks laws. Oh yeah, more fireworks Saturday night including the small children and a neighbor. That went on until 430 am. They promised. Continental breakfast but after seeing how filthy everything was I avoided that.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Decent price, quiet, good location.
Cons: I was charged twice at different rates with my name on another person's payment method, and now I'm trying to figure out how to get some of my money back for staying in only one room for one night. Online travelers be wary of the booking websites, try paying with cash or call hotels directly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel area and our room was very clean.
Cons: Would have preferred to be in the main section of the hotel instead of the building that was a separate building and the window view was looking over the back side of the hotel and the view was of a snow plow. Not so inviting.

Pros: Great practical hotel for visiting in Williamstown/North Adams. The staff let us pick up our keys early before the room was ready, which was nice because we knew we wouldn't be back until 9 or later. Saved us time and hassle. Very nice guys at the desk.
