The staff are friendly and helpful. There is no restaurant.
very nice rooms, very modern and clean the hotel is not very well located... out of acireale and far from the sea... you need the car all the time!
Brand new room, with whirlpool bath, fitted kitchen, huge bed, parking space in front of the room/mini flat. Quiet with the air condition. difficult to find the right direction to get there. Close to a motorway
Very nice hotel with very friendly english speaking staff. Excellent value for money. There is just one thing - you should have a car to get there.
The brand new hotel had interesting design. The staff was excellent, very helpful, speaking very good english. Also we had a great big bed and the room was always clean and every day we had clean towels. No fridge in the room
The bar and general friendliness of the staff Location, there is not much around it within walking distance
Breakfast, the room was very nice, sky was free
Lovely private pool. Very good restaurant and good food and service. Very helpful staff. Room quite small but adequate.
The hotel was relaxing , with a nice pool. The staff were not pushy. We could'nt use balaconies because of odour possibly drains
great small hotel with easy access to various places (taormina 30mn, etna 40mn,catania 20mn, syracusa 1h30,etc...) close to acireale town centre (10 mn walk to all restaurants,bars,etc...), we liked the small swimming pool :great for children, good breakfast , parking easy, very clean room and lots of bath products in bathroom. we had room 200, no noise, no signs of trains either.staff very friendly and helpful. no, a good hotel for families enjoying a quiet well looked after stay.
the bed in our room was short
room - lovely. Bathroom (shower) huge
We like all aspects of the hotel other than its situation ,but that was not the hotels fault we had not realised that it was a long drive to find a beach Our only fault was the width of the single beds which are abot 3inches narrower than British and amazingly enough it makes a difference
The restaurant is amazing! Such good value for money. Try their pizzas! Excellent breakfast buffet as well. Unfortunately they had a problem with the water when we got there, but this was fixed by the evening and they kept us updated. However, on the last night, the air-conditioning stopped working and when I mentioned it they didn't seem too bothered! But the rest of the service was excellent. Free parking and use of a pool :)
The Hotel is a small well run hotel. The only downside id the railway and main road that run alongside, which can be noisy when sitting beside the pool. This does not affect sleep as rooms are double glazed.
lovely pool, good location staff has terrible attitude, friendliness non existant
pool and the pool bar were nice rooms are not of 4 star quality (badly worn down), there was in reality only one restaurant and even that has a fixed menu (2 options), airconditioning didn't work, you can hear everything through the walls
Swiming pool Room was not clean. Many equipments in the room is covered with dust. Old greasy soap was stucked to the rack in the bath. Hair and piece of something was found in the bathtub.
Some staff was accomodating and helpful. Late hours reception offers an excellent service, much better than day-time, which at times appears understaffed. The place is clean and tidy and peaceful. love the big open spaces! On the phone, asking for further details before my booking, the lady was rather unplesant and unhelpful, I felt my enquiry was of no value or worth the time on the phone.
position. Hotel manager is arrogant. He moved 17 guests to another hotel for 3 days without any compensation. Substitute hotel was poor and 3 km from the beach.
What a find. When we went it felt like we had the resort to ourselves. It is beautifully positioned on the waters edge with a pool lookng out to the sea. It would appear that the rooms are being refurbished across the resort and the new rooms we had were spectacular. The staff were second to none and the restaurant served excellent quality food. The hotel is away from the main town but has everything you need for a break and is a wonderful base for exploring the surrounding area. We were delighted to stay here rather than some of the more touristy locations such as Taormina as we were able to enjoy our holiday rather than being surrounded by crowds of people. AAA+++
well located with a beautiful view, security
Very good and quiet location.Good parking facilities. Breakfast was limited with choice.Chemicals used in the pool irritated kids skin.
Overall sense that the staff care about their customers. Very clean. Food excellent At this stage of the season not really geared up for English speaking tourists regarding information on excursions.
The place beach is not the best
The staff... air conditioning did not work!
Nice hotel for first timers who want to be pretty much within walking distance of a lot of attractions. We always were greeted with a smile both coming and going. It was our anniversary and they offered us a bottle of champagne. The rooms were lovely, very comfortable and clean. We had breakfast with an instant omelette, although the breakfast was only continental style with a good assortment; fresh fruit, yogurts, good bread. Would definitely stay there again.
The staff were extreamly polite and helpful. They showed us every place on map that we wanted to visit. The breakfast was very good too.
If one is travelling by car I can be safeloy parked in their garage The way the television was fixed. When lying on the bed to watch the tv I had to look sideways as it was fixed by the side instead infront.
Comfortable bed and good atmosphere I would have liked more choice for breakfast.
The staff was very helpfull and kind It was modern and confortable, but quite simple
Very clean comfortable hotel in city centre with friendly, helpful staff. Parking at hotel was free, but the ramp to parking was very steep. Could be difficult for someone not used to driving standard transmission cars.
we like our room very much, everything was shining! Friendliness of the staff! Poor breakfast buffet
clean rooms, staff (my luggage didn't come of the plane and the staff called the airport several times to check the status). beautiful pool area, breakfast (fresh orange juice and home made fruit salad every morning). great place to chill at the pool. The hotel is located near a very busy road (SS114), the main road of Giarre. Giarre itself is a not very interesting village: cars, cars, cars. there are only 3 rooms with views on the Etna, the other rooms are much smaller too. We stayed in the building close to the exit. When we turned of the airco at night, the noise of main road was audible. We do not recommend the restaurant. (best restaurant: Ciampoli in Taormina, it's on top of the building of the 5 star hotel El Jebel. fantastic views, great food and value for money: 6 course menu including a bottle of wine and water for 120 Euro(for 2).
restaurant and pool
Excellent friendly desk staff. Lovely pool & setting. Good view/position of room. Good full breakfast. Free internet. No airconditioning (it was very hot) Was told it would be repaired but not. No brochure/ hotel info in room, no instructions as to how to ring reception! V unconfortable bed .
The great pool and views from our large balcony
The very nice views. Smallish room.
Away from the bussle, bit far on foot from the centre of Zafferana especiallly making your way back after an evening meal.
the view from the huge balcony was amazing. The staff were helpful and allowed me the use of their office printer etc
Room and facilities The resteraunt was poor and relatively expensive
We booked the hotel for its proximity to Mount Etna and for the beautuful looking pool and hotel. It looked lovely when we arrived but from thereon things became unsatisfactory. The hotel is regularly used as a wedding venue and when this happens hotel guests are not allowed to use the pool. The afternoon we arrived we were told we could not use the pool as there was a wedding in progress but that by 6pm it would be available - as it was the last guests left at 7.45pm so by then we were getting ready for dinner and no longer wanted to use the pool. On the 3rd day there were 2 weddings and we were told that we had to vacate the pool area by 1pm. we were extremely upset by this and spoke to the manager who said that different people book the hotel as a wedding venue from the hotel guest bookings and that we did not have a choice but to leave the pool! we pointed out that we were not told about this situation when we booked and indeed every day we had to ask if there was a wedding on. The evening weddings go on until past modnight sometimes with fireworks and very load music which again no consideration was given to the hotel guests at all. We felt as if we were not valued guests as did the rest of the hotel guests who were staying. Apparently May and June are the wedding season and they will book weddings during that time without informing guests who have alredy booked. The manager was totally ineffective in dealing with our complaint and did not seem to appreciate our greivance, though one of the front desk receptionists could understand how we felt. We could never recommend this hotel to anyone based on our experience which is a great pity as it is the most beautiful looking and fantastically positioned hotel.
Nice Location Of little importance as we stayed for one night but the view out of the room to the outside was not like that of our previous stay.
cleanliness, parking, kindness ans staff services
The hotel concierge and restaurant manager were very friendly, excellent communication skills and hospitable. The hotel was clean and well facilitated. Did not like restaurant opening times; 20:00, wish there was some flexibility with this. The room stated sea view but faced a construction site, could barely see the sea.
Middle-class hotel in the outskirts of Catania. Swimming pool is filled with sea water, ortherwise ok, although cannot be used used after 18:00. Looks like the hotel is focussed on holiday groups, there is personnel to keep you enternained. The hotel is in the harbour of Capomulini, if you want to swim in the sea you will have to swim in the water of the harbour, where there is hardly any ship traffic just leisure boats. At the same time the restaurants in the harbour are good and fairly priced. Car parking is private, it is possible to leave the car in the shadow. Easy to get to Catania, to the Etna or to Taormina. Standard rooms are inferior then what you expect from a **** hotel. Breakfast buffet could offer wider variety.
The location, period. see above
The structure is really nice The rooms would require a refresh
architecture is nice ,situation in orange plantage , landscape beach is relatevly far to go
The pool area Unfriendly staff. Building weird like something out of a horror movie
Signage along the roads directing us to the hotel was very helpful. The staff at breakfast were very helpful, and the person on reception was helpful. It was a bit dated.
Good standard. Restaurant good quality. Excellent base for Etna
the vuew from the balcony riom was beautiful. We were there out of season, but the pools looked very inviting. We did not want to drive into Acireale, so the walk into town was a bit nerve racking.
Good location quiet peacful, nice swimming pool and lovely surroundings None
It was beautiful...friendly service. Looked like a rennovated castle.
