It's a small hotel, very near the ferry port which is why I chose it. The breakfast was a very nice European breakfast. Very simplistic but delicious! They were very gracious and held our luggage for us for almost 3 hours while we scuba dived. Not much English but enough to communicate!
The hotel doesn't have an elevator so that made carrying up our luggage difficult. There are also shallow stairs getting to the hotel which I didn't know about before I booked! That made it not ideal for luggage or after a long day! I felt safe in the area but wouldn't have wanted to wander around by myself.
What a gem of a hotel. Beautiful room and beautiful hotel. Ideal location right in centre of town and across from Port. Lovely rooftop bar overlooking centre of town. Brilliant value for money. Even had gluten free breakfast items without being asked.
The property itself is so so beautiful, amazing view but so many faults as well that’s can be so easily fixed but sadly aren’t
You don’t have a key or any way to access the frount door to get into the property itself. Beside the door there is a buzzer but the buzzer doesn’t look like it’s a buzzer, it’s a light that you have to touch sideways, stayed there for 7 days and it took me 5 data to find it, I always left the door open and prayed no one closed it by the time I was back. The cleaner was lovely, she also does breakfast but the frount desk is supposed to be “24 hour” but I think I saw them about 4 times my whole stay which was scary when you don’t even know how to get in the place. One night me and my boyfriend rang the buzzer to get in and a Child answered! We got to the frount desk and she was definitely not older than 5, was very weird because there was no one but the child anywhere and I was scared her family didn’t know where she was. This hotel is genuinely beautiful but the little things made it so stressful, there was no cups in the room, there was a fridge which was great , the plugs were so hard to get the universal plugs we brought in to , the WiFi didn’t go past your room, the shower head kept braking, the BED SHEETS WHERE NEVER CHANGED THE WHOLE TIME WE WERE THERE... WHEN IT WAS 37c HEAT! I can’t blame the cleaning lady too much because she genuinely was so lovely but that really annoyed me especially knowing how gross those sheets definitely where.
Great location convenient to all transportation; both trains, the ferry and hydrofoil service to the islands, and the bus service! The hotel rooms are modern and spacious with beautiful views of the bay. The terrace is huge, with beautiful lounge areas and bar service at night. The view is spectacular!
This is the second time I have stayed at Maison Toledo. It's in a great location! It's a five minute walk up to the metropolitano, 2 minutes to the Cumana and ferry terminal. The rooms are large and comfortable, with great views, the terrace has spectacular views, and the owners and staff are super friendly! There is a huge variety of restaurants within walking distance, as well as shopping and historic sites.
Nothing! I love it!
