9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place to stay. The house is very nicely set out and decorated in an interesting and thoughtful way. Each room is decorated by theme and ours was the Arabe room. There is a great garden, library, terrace and seating area and Rosa and Fernando are very nice and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with home made cake and jam using fruit from the garden. Perfect
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wow! Rosa and Fernando are incredible hosts at this unique property! After walking all day on the Camino, Fernando picked us up in his van and drove us to the property. We were too tired to go into town for dinner, so Rosa whipped up an incredible dish with fresh vegetables from her garden. In the morning, breakfast was lovely with homemade breads and jams. Fernando drove us back to the Camino route after breakfast. Our room was cozy and tidy. The rooms are each uniquely decorated. There is an artsy feel to the place. It was a memorable experience, but mostly because of the hospitality of the wonderful hosts.
Cons: The only issue for us was no door on the bathroom. Slightly awkward when sharing a room with a friend. We managed though!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rosa & Fernando made us feel very welcome. Rosa cooked us 2 lovely dinners which we enjoyed in their garden. The breakfast was also very nice with homemade cakes and jams on offer. The house is quirky and interesting with themed rooms. The rooms are spacious and clean. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really great hosts, awesome food (both breakfast and dinner), lovely property.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The house is located on the outskirts of the city, but just in a few minutes drive from the center. The place itself is absolutely lovely and the hosts are probably the friendliest we've ever met. Rooms are beautifully decorated, each in different style. Breakfast was exquisite.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was better than expected.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location and a super welcoming couple - amazing accommodation
Cons: nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hosts, Rosa and Fernando, obviously are proud of their hotel rural which is comfortable, spacious and interesting. Rosa presented us with a beautiful dinner and breakfast using some homegrown vegetables.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent, small hotel with a beautiful garden and shared spaces, with a lot of character. The hotel and its surroundings are beautiful and romantic, for couples. For pilgrims on the Camino, it is well worth the extra short journey from Astorga--do *not* let its non-central location dissuade you. The hosts, Rosa and Fernando, were incredible and did their best to accommodate and feed us (with homemade cooking and fresh ingredients from the garden). A true hidden gem.

Pros: Everything was great. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Apart from that, everything is great. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and the balcony looking onto the beautiful garden is lovely. Delicious breakfast and very attentive owners. It all has a real B&B feel to it. Well situated for visiting Astorga and the surrounding area.
Cons: It would be nice to have some kind of curtain for the door opening onto the balcony and two softer pillows.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Peter the owner is a fellow biker so great to get tips on local trips and could keep my bike in his garage. While the Posada was great, the village is deserted with little in the way of places for evening meals available unfortunately so recommended for short stays only or when adding through. That said, Peter’s place was very welcoming and comfortable and would not hesitate to stay again when passing through next time. Thanks Peter for all your assistance and was great meeting you :)
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent, though is states continental were treated to "scrambled" eggs as well, which were lovely. The staff were so accommodating and though we had arrived very early they allowed us to check in, showed us all the amenities and told us when the room would be ready, as we were only staying the night meant that we could get on with our day. The location was only minutes away from the Cathedral and Gaudi's Palace, and we were able to park right outside of the hotel.
Cons: There wasn't anything that we didn't like.
7.5 Good
Pros: Helpful friendly staff. I loved the breakfast, served family style to mingle with other guests, plus it was a real breakfast with eggs etc. Location great.
Cons: Acoustics in rooms (at least my room) were poor--conversations from next room clear as a bell. Also....I like a hotel with a clear, convenient common room (living room) where a guest can read, write or choose to mingle with other guests. This was lacking, but to be fair, it is lacking in many new, high end hotels as well!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable place to stay right off the Camino and within easy walking distance to all of the sites and restaurants in Astorga. Host was just lovely and the breakfast was great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was fabulous!

Pros: Welcoming arrival. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Lovely character room.
Cons: We would have liked to stay longer but there was no room.

Pros: The bedroom was large and comfortable. Access to the rest of the house was a nice experience. The owner and proprietor was very friendly, helpful, and took a great deal of pride in his house... A rightfully proud owner of this fine family home.
Cons: Room Conchs Espinosa. The entry door to the room stuck to the floor and did not swing open easily. The lock to the door also was difficult to operate. Could have been more information about the history of the house in a variety of languages. I would have liked more information about all of the details on this beautiful home.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: I stayed here while walking the Camino de Santiago and it was a very un-pilgrim experience, which was just what I needed at the time. This is a boutique hotel with all the bells and whistles, very luxurious, and about as far away from an albergue as you can get. The staff, backpack and trekking poles notwithstanding, was very welcoming and professional. The breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel was right on the Camino path and conveniently next to the Cathedral.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location is great thanks to its surroundings: Bishop palace and Cathedral.
Cons: I did not like the breakfast. It was rather poor and not worthy the money. The restaurant staff was rather maladroit. The quality of the food was just ok.

Pros: The Spa is wonderful, worth the 14 euros to go there.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room for a very reasonable price in a gorgeous location.
Cons: Availability of food in the evening.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything else.
Cons: One of the two rooms was not the one booked (should have had a balcony). I didn't make it an issue because I was asked to sign a credit card receipt (no machine) for 10 Euro less. Yet the charge to my account was for the original amount. The village elders need to have a word with the gang of raucous kids hanging out in the square until midnight, disturbing guests rather than village residents.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful hotel which is incredibly good value for what you get. The lunch in the restaurant is fantastic too.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The town, the inclusive breakfast in the room, the quiet of the area
Cons: No option to eat either in the accommodation (which was a Michelin star restaurant) or anywhere else in the village (with the exception of one very expensive restaurant) as all restaurants close at 1.30. Nearest place for a reasonably priced evening meal was about 6km away. As travelling pilgrims, there was no option to leave bags for a pick up, which is unusual as this hotel is on the pilgrim trail and should maybe specify this in the publicity
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have never been overnight to a place like that. I wonder : how long did it take to build a settlement like that ? Recommend for all not seeking nightlife, especially inquisitive minds.p

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Not much
Cons: It was a sterile version of a motel6.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and staff most helpful.
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff was superb (very helpful). The restaurant attached was some of the best food on my Camino walk. The room was clean and the outside street was quiet. It is only 5 min walk to Astorga Cathedral.
Cons: The bed was extremely hard. The hardest bed on my Camino. Along with the hard pillows that were provided were very uncomfortable. Sadly, you can hear every word someone is speaking outside the door and the sitting area. Every time someone when in or out of their room, you can hear the door slam. If staying here bring ear plugs especially if you want an afternoon nap after your Camino walk. Also make sure not to arrive too early because you won't get checked int until 130 pm or later.

Pros: Excellent location: just opposite the Gaudi episcopal palace, the most important attraction go Astorga. Charming bar and cafeteria. Although the room decoration is in old style, it is well maintained.

Cons: There wasn't anything that we didn't like. The whole experience was very pleasant.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good location across from the Palace
Cons: Disorganized staff at checkin - clearly flustered by both checkin and bar duty at same time. Mattress not great - light and slipped over bed frame. Noisy wooden floors with guests wandering around late at night. Asked to pay again at checkout as they had misplaced payment details. Had to go through a proof as they would not believe me until it was proven by receipts. No apology. Basically - overrated. Not recommended.

Cons: It was a very large building with a run down appearance
7.9 Good
Cons: The restaurant was not open and there is not place to eat near the hotel.
5.0 Okay
Pros: We met the manager on the way to breakfast and he suggested we would get a better one in Astorga which we did
Cons: We arrived at the hotel at 13-30 and reception as closed with a notice displayed that it would re-open circa 16-00.We were shown to a room which was adequate. The following morning we experienced low water pressure in the bathroom which ceased entirely after a few minutes. We then decided to leave and never return
6.7 Good
Pros: The rest of the hotel was very nicely decorated, almost like a castle. They would really benefit from a renovation in the rooms to get them to the level of the rest of the hotel

Pros: the location, close to Astorga city center, and the easy access by the main highway to those who have a car. The attention and kindness of staff is also to be highlighted

Cons: The rooms where very updated although huge. The beds had no blanket!!! Only a summer duvet cover. We had only two blankets in the closet for 4 people. We were very cold. The room was full of very big flies.. Not very nice.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: the location, close to Astorga city center, and the easy access by the main highway to those who have a car. The attention and kindness of staff is also to be highlighted
Cons: nothing to highlight
