Not a lot. The outdoor access to the rooms.
They had an electric kettle in the room, tea and coffee. The internet wasn't working good. The hotel is quite old. It doesn't worth the 67 euro (without breakfast) it costs.
Excellent budget accommodation, however had difficulty finding the hotel even though we were travelling into Digne by the Route 85
Typical Campanile motel-like hotel, no frills Position is in an absolutely shabby part of town: shopping centers, Castorama, Intermarchè, on Sundays it is a desert....
Very friendly and helpful staff and the hotel was good value. No hair dryer in the room or at the reception.
rooms were spacious and airy. Excellent choice of food for breakfast
There wasnt much that we did like, sorry I can't write more. I gather these hotels are always on a trading estate. Our room was quite small and window looked out to a high wall.
leaving Very dirty and run down hotel, I booked for 2 nights but left after one.
Typical Campanile set just out of Dignes centre. Arrived very late and pre arranged for a key to be left so I could get in along with a code for the gate to the car park. Worked perfectly. Pleasant staff. Good buffet breakfast. Free WiFi for those wanting internet. Good Value.
The hotel was nice for our one night stay. The beds were soft and comfortable (if you do not like soft beds, you may not find it as comfortable as I did). My girlfriend really raved about the bath tub. The bathroom was newly renovated and very spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The location is located in the town and very close to the tourism center and bus station. I would have preferred air conditioned rooms. We visited in August and the temperature during the day is on the warm side. The temperature at night was not unbearable, but a nice cool room would have been preferred.
The staff was extremely courteous and accomodating. The room was quite large for France and the bathroom was exceptional. We loved dinner at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. No complaints whatsoever.
We liked the old-fashioned ambience of the hotel, beautiful paintings and tastefulness of furnishings. We had a newly reburbished room which was a pleasure to be in.This hotel would be ideally suited to mature couples. Very quiet, but friendly.
Large room with good choice of seats; large comfortable bed, spacious bathroom. Evening meal and breakfast on the terrace, None.
The staff were excellent - English spoken. Very good restaurant. Loved the old charm of the hotel and it's central location for day trips. No hairdryer in room.
Sheets clean, bathroom clean, room size good, staff attentive and pleasant. Evening meal dreadful, decor seriously tired, hotel dark, unwelcoming, only a 2 star trying to be something its not. No air con. very depressing hotel would not recommend.
Nice setting in the mountains facing a pond and also close to Lac de Serre-Poncon. Fairly ambitious menu in the dining room and generous breakfast buffet (for 10 Euros per person). Accomodating staff. Large outdoor patio and pool would have been pleasant in good weather, which we didn't have for our one-night stay. Clearly intended to host people for vacation stays of at least several days. Not really. Perfectly acceptable 3-star hotel.
The pretty small lake close by Small room. The swiming pool was a joke. Millions of mosquitoes at night. Absurdly overpriced. We were supposed to have a lake view and it wasn't true.
Staff were courteous and helpful. The swimming pool water was murky. It consistently had floating insects both on it and in it. The steps leading down to the pool were coated in green scum. I did not feel it safe to swim in. There were a very large number of the cups had large pieces missing, not just chipped, but parts broken off, but they were still put out for use by the customers. Dirty Pillows.
location, food room very small and cramped. expensive for what it was. listed as double room but the one bed in the room was very small for two people
Excellent service of the receptionist at arrival. Fantastic location (nature, view). The possibility to take some bread etc. from breakfast buffet as lunch packet. The quality of the interior (room, lighting, TV, bath) resembles that of much cheaper hotels. I had better room quality at other hotels for much less than half the price. Bed too small. Not separate linen. Did not want the dinner buffet but had to pay for it anyway.
Good value for money. Very pretty location. Room was clean and bed very comfortable and facilites very good No internet facilities. Only place we stayed in 3 weeks where we could not access the internet. Food was adequate but not wonderful.
food was good, quite good location, other guests A bit more care on keeping surroundings in good shape and more control on the details (ie, lighting the fire on time). Skiing boot room in particular needed a bit of cleaning and sorting out.
Friendliness of staff. Excellent food. Cleanliness throughout. A wonderful experience
Nice and friendly staff. We had a large room suitable very suitable for our family. Hotel I s ok. The village is a little bit evacuated during summer (as one can expect for a winter sport village). Ok for short stay.
good service, nice employees, Hotel needs some modernisation and painting - especially back stairs - wifi should be free of charge
Proximity to slopes.
It was a lovely hotel! The room was fresh and cleaned well evey day. It was close to the chair lift and the food in the restaurant was very good. I was very impressed, we had a great stay there. The spa was an extra bonus and great after a day skiing. Well worth staying there.
Food, location, peace Building in need of renovation
The ambiance, the friendliness of the staff The beds were not comfortable. i would have glady stayed an extra night if I had slept better.
The food was excellent. Great location, next to ski rental shop and ski lift. Easy parking. Good facilities all around. Twin rooms did not have equal size beds.
Nice ambiance, friendly people, good buffet breakfeast a bit oldish style but has it's charm; rooms are not very well isolated from noise
the restaurant was very good room smelled of and felt little damp and there was no hair dryer. We stayed in three different places in the alps - this was the most expensive while being the most basic hotel / b&b so maybe not the best value for moneyconsidering it was supposed to be 3 star accommodation
Friendly and courteous staff Difficult to find, below average room and and very average food
Location & good food. No
Cramped room. The whole place needs refurbishment. Ok for one night.
The location, the staff, the atmosphere
Friendly staff. Prompt service. The bathroom was very small, almost impossible to use the toilet as it was so close to the wall in front of it.
Great location and a cozy room considering the 2 star rating. Really a genuine family run business done with the customers interests at heart. None really, maybe abetter shower cubicle in the bedroom would have been nice but 2 star.......what can you expect?
I just stayed one night. The staff was very service minded The village was empty, no cafés or restaurants (other than that at the hotel) was open at this time of the year (end june)
Hotel is perfect for skiing 20 meters from the ski lift a couple of restaurants and a bar nearby. You couldn't get a better location. Hotel was comfortable with nice staff. Highly recommend it.
Honest, clean service, helpful service Very limited facilities ie no satelite tv, no fridge
Location, landscape works outside: full of dust impossible to use terrasse for breakfast
Recommended by friends whom visit now 10 years. Excellent chef and cusine. Great walks and views. We were not told it was a fixed evening dinner menu when we reserved or arrived. Owners do not seem to like foreigners even those with 20 years French and live 2 hours from the hotel like us. We and other non-French were treated differently. I would only recommend this hotel to French friends and for the great cusine.
