The air conditioning had been switched on in advance of our arrival - heaven! The staff were also extremely helpful and polite.
The quality of the hotel 1 noise made by the street to close 2 the swimming pool closed at 6.30 pm even for the customers of the hotel
We are group of pilgrims.Room and bathroom very nice and clin.Dinner and breakfast exelent.Staff very caindl.
The ratio price/quality is excellent; the hotel is good organised, the rooms are in good cleaning shape. We will come again
excellent room. easy to find. friendly staff, even though i dont speak Italian.suprised by swimming pool complex!! couldnt work out air conditioning. the buffet breakfast was empty.
Great location, helpful and friendly staff with very good restaurant nearby.
In my case it is close to the job, but far from the town. Too much noise on the corridor, specially the staff.
Receptionist friendly and very helpful and spoke English well. Swimming pool was great the kids enjoyed it immensely. Cleaning crew forgot to leave shampoo and soap once so we had to ask for more at front desk and they quickly provided some for us.
The room was clean and quiet and the breakfast was fine and convenient for our family of young children. This hotel's selling point is the pool, however, the first day we were there they closed it which really was frustrating as we choose this hotel because of the pool. Also, the room was a bit small for the price.
Staff are friendly, restaurant is lovely, clean and comfortable rooms - we ended up booking another night... We were offered to be brought complimentary coffee's as we had missed breakfast and ended up being charged for the coffee's plus a room service fee!!!
Service was very good. The restaurant staff was very attentive. The door knob came off in our hands. Rm 123
The modern decor crafted into an old building, the enjoyable restaurant (menu and service). We visited the Museo della Cavalleria and the hotel staff were helpful in giving directions. Private parking
The hotel staff are wonderful: polite, helpful, professional and anticipate your needs! The hotel is well maintained and the rooms and restaurant are extremely comfortable, modern and clean. I cannot fault this hotel; I recommend it unreservedly!
The superb quality and value of the accommodation, and the outstanding breakfast. Nothing.
First of all the booking was not registrated at the hotel so they were not expecting us and did not seem to appreciate another guest (even though it was plenty of rooms.) Other bookings for the same trip went well so I am not sure whether it was the booking system failing or the hotel handling the booking.
hotel staff does not speak English well, which caused some problem/s on communicating between guests and staff. the policy of the hotel stay that the guest MUST throw away his/her waiste and SHALL be checked before check-out, was NOT advised at the time of booking. This is not a fare rule on business manner to the customers.
Great location and well designed hotel. Being built for the winter sports market meant that there were solid floors everywhere which made it very noisy. Not much choice of food during the summer period.
Near the skiing areas and city The poor service
close to ski lifts etc and good value faciliities in the hotel all geared to Italian customers rather than other foreigners and the staff not that friendly or helpful
friendliness of staff and relaxed atmosphere
Good service. Nice view across the town Sestriere in clear weather! Soory, I did not pay for a battle of stiil water from mini-bar when I left your hotel. When I will be in Sestriere next time i`ll pay... Please, make an instruction about internet connection in a room, or rather make Wi-Fi for all hotel!
The location could not have been better, about 7 mins walk to the main ski-lift but yet situated on a square in the centre. The hotel is quite basic but is clean. It is classed as a 4* hotel, but seems more like a 3. The staff were incredibly helpful.
The hotel was comfortable and the staff accommodating but the tru benefit is the excellent location and superb family friendly surroundings
I like this hotel, i like Sestriere, i like ski, snow and mountains! Thank you for good vacation! Please, make breakfasts more various!
the atmosphere no light in the closet
The atmosphere that you can feel in this hotel is special. Every single room is different from the others, perfectly designed and very well kept... All is like you would like to be! But the most important and impressive think is the kindness of the young stuff and of the young and active owner family! Very suggested
wonderfull mountan veiw from the room. Big balkony. Comfortable undeground parking is free of charge. Comfortable big sleeping bed. Night portier does't speeks English.
location, view, staff, market, laundry, Wi-fi connection garage is very dark and tight parking spots (need better lighting system), access to master thru other bedroom and no windows in that bedroom
The accomadation was surprisingly standard, despite the reviews I had read. We were all quite satisfied with everything. It is a bit off the town center and the lifts. A pity there is no Wi-fi in the rooms.
Small, friendly, off the beaten track
Only stayed one night but staff very friendly, room newly renovated. Walls very thin, Girl on reception in evening only spoke Italian but there was someone who spoke a little english and was very helpful.
Superb service attitude of staff; very helpful at every turn; couldn't do enough for you. Lovely dining room and great food!
Kindness and Elegance.
Helpful and friendly staff. Super dinner and breakfast. Comfortable room despite not being able to control the air conditioning which was regulated by the hotel staff.
Nice location on a quiet street, with a lovely mountain view and a picturesque church at the top of its hill. Olyx itself is a nice town to walk through and is in easy driving distance to ski slopes and a myriad of valley and mountain villages. This small hotel is nicely decorated, very clean and well maintained. Good breakfast, and the restaurant is excellent for dinner. Service was friendly and helpful. Convenient, ample, and free parking is provided half a block away. It would have been nice to have lobby computer available for guest use.
Friendly helpful staff. Very clean. Enclosed car park. Excellent food. Very good value for money
The room was clean and comfortable, and after several issues, the staff finally did try to be helpful. The food in the restaurant. It was of a very poor standard, hot dishes were served cold, the meat was too tough to eat.
Very pleasant hotel, the big and spacious room, cleanliness, an order and service at very good level.
We only stayed over night on our way somewhere else - arrived very late (just before they went home for the night 23.00) and had breakfast in the morning. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms spotless. The hotel had a cosy feel to it and is newly refurbished. The girl on reception in the evening didn't speak anything but Italian, so it was a little difficult to communicate. Last possible check-in is 11pm, as the staff go home then, so make sure not tobe late.
Quite and peacefull pleasant staff
Staff was very friendly. Bus service to skipiste was very well organised. Good skipas discount via hotel Breakfast was very poor
Modern fixtures and furnishings. Well maintained. Friendly staff. Staff failed to provide breakfast on time two of the four days of our stay (breakfast room was locked and lights were off). Room a little too warm; no air circulation without opening balcony doors which allowed noise and insects into room.
Exceedingly helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food.
The Manager - was the rudest women I have ever come across. If you made your own arrangements outside of the Hotel and she wasn't going to make a Euro or two out of it she turned into a beast. Never in my life have I been spoken to like that from someone whom was meant to be looking after us in our stay.
We very much appreciated the splendid hospitality offered by the manager, Francesca Buono, who in fact did the design for the interesting renovations that were completed shortly before the Olympics in Torino. She gave us a sampling of regional specialties, as well as information on restaurants and attractions, and she even found us an excellent local mechanic for our rental car. The hotel is nestled high in the Italian Alps above Torino, a perfect location for outdoor activities all year long. We were there only for an overnight on our way from Tuscany back to France, but we would certainly enjoy staying there much longer on another occasion.
Excellent service by friendly staff. Good hotel-ski pass deal. Very comfortable and clean rooms and facilities. Good food.
Staff were particularly helpful and contributed to ease of arrival and departure and assistance while staying. Restaurant was closed one night with little warning because of absence of chef.
Good location, close to town centre and ski slopes. Quiet, peaceful with free parking and decent breakfast hard bed
Staff are friendly, helpful and always have a smile. Very clean. The hotel lacks atmosphere and is very badly insulated against noise from other guests.
Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely views. Sunny rooms. Well-designed and laid-out hotel. Large rooms. Fridge did not work. Emitted very strong chemical smells. Water in shower was warm but not hot over the 5 days I was there. Breakfast average. No plug adaptor available. No flexibility on check-out time (10am).
Welcoming and friendly staff. Large reasonably appointed room. Sunny veranda Soundproofing poor in the room, therefore kept awake by noisy guests. TV too small for the room
The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The evening meals were very generous - with plenty of choice. The location of the hotel - at the bottom of a steep hill, with a sharp bend - meant snow chains were vital in January. Fresh snow and difficult driving conditions led to our checking out of the Sciatori a day early, to ensure we could get back to the airport in Turin in time, as we had an early flight and could not afford to lose the time in fitting and removing the chains. As per the Sciatori's stated policy, we had to pay for the extra night - but the manager did deduct 25 Euros from the cost of our restaurant bill as a goodwill gesture. If you are used to driving in snow, and happy fitting snow chains, this hotel is fine - otherwise I would recommend staying in nearby Cesana.
The hotel's facilities were pretty nice, the sauna's etc. The employees didn't tell us anything about the hotel when arriving, not even the time of the breakfast or the fact that we'd have to let the staff know in advance if we wanted to dine at the hotel at night. We also didn't receive coupons for the skipasses from the hotel, as some other people did. Poor service, I'd say!
