Excellent staff, they are really helpful. The Hotel is beatiful, mountain style with wooden roof and wooden floor (no carpets!!! good!!). The room was lovely, big toilet with a very nice shower. VERY clean. Breakfast is excellent. walking distance from the Terme Pre Saint Didier. Astonishing view of the Mont Blanc. The restaurant is excellent. Restaurant little bit expensive.
Good breakfast. Staff varied from very polite and helpful to not very helpful and at times aloof.
Staff were very helpful in booking local restaurants etc. and arriving at 4 in the morning was not a problem
The location was really great. Being charged for car parking at the hotel. which was not a concierge service or underground, the car park was outside the front door of the hotel.
Proximity to the ski lifts and centre of town
Location to the ski lift. Breakfast a little stayed.
Reception staff efficient and helpful; room excellent. Restaurant reception not good. Food and ambience poor.
Very close to cable car - less than one minute walk. Great breakfasts. Very close to main France/Italy road, but triple glazed so no problem really
Location was excellent. Room was clean
The hotel is well located in the town but the annex is on the outskirts. The hotel is perfectly positioned for trips to the mountains. We were located in the annex which is next to a busy main road away from the town centre, the hotel is not. When booking a room confirmation should be given that the room is in the hotel or the annex
Two 15 year olds and two dads right next to the lifts for skiing, excellent The hotel has two different buildings, so not to every ones taste. Food average but OK
Beautifully kept hotel, very clean and neat. Loved the wooden interior decor/furniture - very Alpine/regional/traditional. Lovely fragrance in the room. Scenery - spectacular. Good location - not in the center of town - in quiet area. Staff extremely helpful/friendly. Reception lady in particular. Breakfast quick & delicious. Rates very good. Liked everything about the hotel.
We like the proximity of the hotel to the ski lift.
we were driving from Italy to France and stopped for 1 night, the hotel was reasonably priced and the scenery is spectacular. It was a perfect place to stop (near to the Mont Blanc tunnel) and a comfortable and clean hotel.
excellent friendly service- see trip advisor review docbob
The staff, extremely graceful, friendly - made us feel special No, we can't wait to stay there again!
The size and way the room and bathroom were appointed, the way the Hotel was decorated, the village of Courmayeur is exquisite and the Hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful in direct contrast to most of Italy.
Comfort and friedliness
The staff was really excellent with amazing attitude - friendly, helpful, polite. Way above all hotels we have visited during our trip (6). Booking superior room was really worth it as we had a small terrace (not balcony) with sunbeds and extraordinary views of the neighboring mountains. Breakfast was good (for Italian hotel, which are usually below average on this point) and location is very good (close to city center). Have to try the thermal spas of Pre Saint-Didier! A little expensive, but that is Courmayeur standard! Limited parking space.
Charming hotel with outstanding staff Very Clean and comfortable Great location for strolling the town but not in the middle of all the traffic the front desk staff could not be more welcoming and helpful Carmino?not sure of spelling fabulous breakfasts loved our stay >We enjoyed our stay so much we went back for 4 more nights. perhaps more pillows on the bed I do love a bathtub
location, peacefull atmosphere, style Poor breakfast of packet biscuits. overpriced food
Beautiful antiques in an extremely well designed traditional facility. Impeccable taste in decor, good breakfast. They led me to believe that dogs were welcome, but then turned me away at the restaurant because I had my dog with me. I had specifically asked if dogs were welcome in restaurant - they said yes and I made a a reservation. This is a hotel in the country not a sophisticated big city restaurant. I still don't understand what the problem was with the dog, having gone to restaurants all over Europe without encountering this.
Every detail was just perfect...the staff treated us like royalty and it was more defintiely a highlight of our honeymoon. highly highly recommend!
the hostess were very kind , the boss too no
definitly the location and the cleanliness
The Hotel Walser was convenient to the town centre and some of the staff were charming. The hot water was not really hot, the dining room was chilly and they tried to overcharge us.
Feels like a home away from home. If you need something ask and it will be done no complaints
Location poor breakfast assortment, no fresh fruits
Lovely situation in the shadow of Mont Blanc, and the town was really good. Right to the old main road to Mont Blanc Tunel so quite a busy and noisy road at times.
Was clean ,cozy, close to cable car for ski.perfect for 3 star, can not really ask more. Only thing we disliked was restorant dinner. No prices in the menue !!! Very strange !Poor and very simple meal selection in menue and for surprise later, when we found out the price(when we cheked out)was too much !!!
Excellent location (a short walk to the bus terminal), helpful approachable owner, cozy ambiance, nice view, garden, games and books for the guests.
Clean, homely and freindly
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was large and varied. We had them do a small amount of laundry and the bill came to about 60 euros. The concierge did say there would be an extra charge but we did not bother to ask how much, so we would not fault the hotel. We simply should have taken it to the laundromat a short distance away, and would probably have spent about 10 or 15 euros.
the location of the hotel was great. It had parking. It had a shower. Nice breakfast as well as as a price fix dinner at night. the pillows
It was very cozy, and all the staff was full of hospitality.
Location was quite good. Front desk staff was good while restaurant staff was too stiff (mostly). But also overall people in the town are somewhat uptight and not as friendly. Shower area was too small. Overall feel is just ok. Also noticed several old couples staying over so not sure if hotel targets this profile. Finally noisy sometimes. One of the nights, rather late a big group arrived and was chatting rather loudly.
Great location, very nice and helpful staff very bad lighting in the bathroom, especially since it looks like it was just renovated
Location, room, hotel furnishings. Most impressed with helpfulness of the reception staff. Room was a little too warm during the night.
Staff was excellent - couldn't have been more helpful Hours of spa were very limited (after 4 pm) Would have been nice if it was available in the mornings
THe rooms are quite small and haveing no aircondition makes sleeping in the summer impossible We were given a back room on 1st floor and could not open the windows because people from next houses could just walk in.
good front desk service, nice rooms, big bathroom slowly breakfast service
The feeling of being home away from home We liked everything!
This hotel had the best staff and service ever. I have stayed in many hotels but I was completely amazed, everybody from the cleaning lady through the barman and porter to receptionists.Very children friendly. 10 plus. We liked everything, it was perfect. We did not have a car and the hotel made sure we had their driving service available all the time. Room was cosy and very clean, view amazing, room service excellent, Our little one was very happy too
Peaceful spot close to mountains, easily accesible by road. A charming hotel with good sized rooms and a good sauna, hamam. Drinks were good next to an open fire and the restaurant offered a good value menu which was scrumptious.
Wonderful staff so helpful and considerate who seemed to enjoy their work. This hotel is a warm and welcoming place that you immediately feel at home in. Hopefully will be back.
The decoration, the location, the welcoming, the food. Slow internet connection.
The friendly and helpful staff, the cosiness of the hotel and the cuisine at the restaurant.
Very friendly hotel, well organised and clean. Great location for access to slopes and the village. Beware that the hotel is on the corner of the through road and village high street therefore can be noisey from morning traffic or late night revellers. But if you want to keep near to facilities this is a compromise you may have to make.
Friendly staff with a nice family run feel. Lack of knowledge about the skiing facilities. Ski hire / access to lifts etc.
The hotel was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although the room was a bit "worn", it was spacious, clean and comfortable.
Great customer service, excellent English! Very clean and tidy and lovely decor. Barman is 5 star and gave us great information. Perfect location. The room we had was a a bit dark dingy and there were bars on the very small window! Felt a bit like a prison. I think this was the only room like this and unfortunately we got it.
Snowboarding Bathroom wasn't that great for the money - having to sit in the bath to have a shower wasn't cool !
Comfortable and very conveniently situated.
The room and the balcony The evening meal was not very good
Central location by the lively pedestrian street. Very friendly and helpful staff (no problems with language). Clean and nice rooms. Sufficient breakfast. Good for relaxing after a strenuous half of the Tour du Mont Blanc. Central location has its pros and cons: loud noise from people on the street lasted quite late into the night, and street cleaning machines started their work very early.
Staff were friendly and pretty helpful albeit there was a slight language barrier. Always remembered me and had the key waiting when I walked in. Good breakfast. Nice 'cosy' room which was very clean. Place to store ski equipment. Fantastic location in the town centre (opposite Bar Roma) and within ten minutes walk to the ski lift. Room was small and had low ceiling with limited view / aspect. Noise from adjacent room travelled through the walls so I had to listen to someone elses children. There was no introduction from the staff as to any facilities so I was not aware of whether there were any or where they were - didn't show me the restaurant area or anything.
The location is perfect. Beautiful view from room albeit small window. The hotel has little to no amenities (no pool, hot tub, or fitness facility) and room could use some updates (dirty carpet in rooms, old blankets on bed, shower and TV extremely small). Some of staff was very friendly and helpful while others seemed slightly rude and bothered by questions or requests.
