This hotel had a relaxing atmosphere, which is what you actually need after a busy day at work. Almost everything was according to what you can expect from a brand new Hilton hotel. The breakfast can be improved.
Large comfortable room with good facilities. Very young staff not up to 5* service levels
cleaness, comfort, pleasent environment, good location, design should be one person who is mmore informed about eventual problems considering interenet conections
We had very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was versatile and very tasty. Staff was gentile and ready to help in any kind of things.
Very clean and comfortable. Definitely recommended. The breakfast was a little short.
Clean, room, location The cost of the reservation differed from the amount I have paid.
Good location, nice rooms, helpful staff. Renovation work, nothing was said before we booked. Bar was gone on our 2nd day!!!
good breakfast, kind staff, good location, clean, good rooms, cheap nothing
The reception staff were courteous and friendly, they spoke good English On several occaisions there was a bad smell from the toilet and sink.
Breakfast price was somewhat on the expensive side
hotel is clean and in good area for going about gdansk with plenty to do
It was very confortable and staff was very pleasent.
Proffesionalism of the staff. Design of hotel corridors :)
Best showers ever. Free internet. Comfortable beds. Good bar. Central location. Breakfast good, but little variety:same every day. The reception area is probably the worst design I have ever seen in a hotel. Impossible to sit and relax, not to mention ugly decor. Bedroom seating very uncomfortable.
Please write at least 15 words The food was poor quality via room service
The only thing we didn't like was we paid extra for a room with a sea view. When we looked out our window it was very hard to see the sea as there were large trees blocking our view. They would not change the rate of our room even though it really wasn't a sea view. They could not move us the first night, but were able to the second night. Our view from the second room was better, but there were still trees blocking some of the view. I also wish the rooms had a real balcony, there are doors that open, but there is only about 6 inches of balcony to stannd on.
I did not get the room which I booked.People from reception were not able to solve my problem.
very nice hotel, I had a great time
meals in the restaurant, design of the hotel, location design of the restaurant is like a dining room in student house
nothing even if you have a question you have got to pay...
Rooms are very well appointed. Bed is comfortable and nice. We had a sea view that was great. Slow housekeeping service. Breakfest at $30 per person!!?? Much too much.
Very bad room service. We waited over an hour for our order. There was no coffee, milk or toilet paper either.
Nice hotel with pleasant and helpfull staff. Nice rooms, and a perfect location. The hotel is not ready and charges 5 star prices for a 3 star facility. No fitness room, no meeting rooms... it is too expensive for its offerings.
Nice location and good facilities. Clean and tidy Most personal good but some of the girls in the reception still think that you have to be dressed in a certain way to stay in the hotel. In Sweden we have a different clothes code maybe moore casual than in Poloand. So one of my collegues got a bit ill treated when we arrived. see above
The spa is lovely and the location on the beach is good. The Sheraton Sopot unfortunately was a disappointment. The location was fantastic but the service let it down. Everything was an extra cost from breakfast, use of the spa, internet, late check-out for just one hour. It felt like the hotel just wanted to make money rather than welcome guests. Having come from the Hilton in Gdansk where nothing was too much trouble and there were no extra costs for any of the above we were surprised to find a hotel of similar quality differing so much.
Staff were friendly and helpful ,in all areas Was at weekend ,but seating at Breakfast was not organised ,all tables basically full ,timing maybe out on arrival etc . Not sure how to improve though ,as tables were efficiently cleaned . Hotel Bar closes at 10pm ,unless you are sitting at Bar ,so goi
Friendly staff and spacious rooms Small breakfast area, but good food.
The location was perfect. The staff was so helpful. The rooms were very nice and the breakfast one of the best I have seen in a hotel with breakfast.
Very good service No spa and the price of the garage
Excellent location right in the centre of Gdansk, very friendly stuff. Highly recommend! Nothing
Room was very comfortable and quiet. Hotel is very well situated for the main shopping area and waterfront. I would recommend this hotel to friends.
Excellent beds and service. -
Great location. friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms.
The Radisson blu is the best hotel i have stayed at.The staff are the best superb i would recommend this hotel to anyone first class.
staff help was high standard not bathroom needed maintenance, hair dryer didnt work
The hotel is lovely and the location is terrifice. If I returned to Gdansk, I would definately stay there again. Abosolutely no complaints.
Hotel location, services, style No smoking areas in all the hotel parts
staff were very helpful, location great and rooms very comfortable - no criticisms or complaints.
The Room was so dirty. We had the same problem last year when we stayed in the same hotel.
Most comfortable beds in Europe!!!
The best is the bed, very comfortable. Also, the free internet in the room is ok. Very nice building (hystorical). Lack of english language channels on tv. The central heating system didn't work in first instance, but they fixed it somehow. The internet also couln't work until somebody fixed it. Room service didn't answer several times. Anyway, the resort is more populated in the summer because of the sea side.
The quality of the place and the pool indeed. Late checkin time 2pm and early checkout 10am !
Friendly staff and the comfiest bed I have slept in
Our suite #214 - one of the biggest rooms in the whole hotel! And the individual exclusive feeling of staying in such a historical hotel! If the walls could speak... We ordered food to the room (room service) and it didn´t fullfill the expecations of a 5-star hotel. Plain and standard taste unfortunately...
Lower price - price in Poland for the type of Hotel to high - I have been in other hotel in Gdansk (Novotel) also close to the beach like Sofitel -and the diffirent in price is to high - We are not getting much more at Sofitel compare to Novotel - and the price at Sofitel is more than 25 % more expencive When we have to go to the beach you have to work around the hole hotel - there is no directly entrance to the beach h
swomming poll and sauna
Sea view, bath robes, luxurious cosmetics, excellent bed and bed linnen, tea and coffee in the room low quality TV, room layout, uncomfortable bar area with the unpleasant smell from the restaurant, no lobby/lauch/relaxing area with sea view. From 5 star hotel being so expensive I expected much more, however the view from the window compensated for everything
Beautiful building and high standard of finish inside, rooms very comfortable and elegantly furnished. Staff very polite and willing to please. I liked the breakfast buffet whihc had a wide variety plus chef cooked breakfast option at no extra cost. 1. Food (dinner) and dining service in this hotel is fair but not up to other European 5 Star hotels and certainly should be better for the price. 2. Although my room was impressively furnished, the bed gave me serious back ache after just one night. I do not have problems with my back and would suggest the bed is too soft 3. No foreign exchange available in such a large and expensive hotel! 4. The Internet connection was so slow it was virtually unusable
I like the hotel a lot, tha staff were very helpful and friendly. Although I had no time to do sights, but I can tell the Old Town is within walking distance. The wifi worked fine. The only thing I didn't like was the amount of soap/shower gel that was provided in the room (mine was single). Also, I think the price of breakfast (1/3 of the price of the room) was a little bit exaggerated and seemed another hidden extra cost of the room that is not listed on the website and that majority of people will pay anyway.
Up to date with spacious rooms and an excellent bathroom. A wide selection of polish delicatessen on the breakfast buffet and friendly staff. Best of all the hotel is so close to the historical city center that one could crawl back after to much of the tasty local vodka's
Noisy front side of the hotel, the breakfast room was full with a group of German tourists and I had to line up for 10-15 minutes.Groups should be put in a separate breakfast area.
Excellent buffet breakfast, friendly breakfast staff Lack of local knowledge.
breakfast offer is fantastic there is no bar at the hotel
Very nice, brand new hotel. Great value for money!! Splendid breakfast. Nothing
modern, clean, warm and welcoming. it is in a good position near the old town. the staff were very efficient and friendly. i would have liked more information about gdanzk. ie a guide book. we was given a map which did help. we also picked up a free guide book from a bar which gave us a guided walk and gave us the history of the interesting buildings. i think that this information would have helped us on our short stay.
close to the Old Town, nice room, nice staff there are stairs between reception desk and elevators - if you have a heavy bag, it may be quite difficult to walk through
It was very nice. Good breakfest. Nice personal. Helpful. Gdansk is a very interesting and charmful city. The rooms was very nice. It was very near the main-city, but still not to close. Very nice with "cooling" system in the rooms, nice climath controll. Maybe more tv-channels on English? And more stabile WIFI. I found an old sock from someone else under the bed.
Was a clean and comfortable hotel. Lovely breakfast. Average dinner, expensive for what was offered. Not much happenning within walking distance of the hotel. Bedding did not fit bed.
the ambiance; the beautiful location
very relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff
A beautiful hotel with one of the best included breakfasts I have seen during my travels in Poland. Beautiful pool, sauna, spa. Housecleaning removed a personal item from my room and disposed of it. By the time I realised it was gone I was told it was impossible to get back. Was not really happy with the explanation or apology. Marred an otherwise perfect stay.
nice rooms, good ambiance parking not convnient
luxorious and spacy room, peaceful surroundings the restaurant was overpriced compared to quality of the portions. The breakfast personal didn`t tell there is a cook making omelets in one of the rooms. On leaving day there was water break all morning so we had to leave the hotel with dirty feeling and without shower or spa. However no discount on price was given even that I asked.
Very well furnished and equipped No outside possibility after sauna. It was a shame about the building site noise early in the morning during our stay.
the location was relaxing and quite just a bit far to the attractions in Gdansk
Restaurant was excellent. Friendly staff. Fitness centre. This is important for me and the weight training facilities were almost non existant. So how can one call it a fitness centre and gym? Excellent running through the forest though!
The Hotel has a lovely location, generous well furnished rooms. The restaurant is excellent. I would strongly reccomend this Hotel and will definatley stay again when in Gdansk.
Great location across from main train station and short walk to tourist areas. Comfortable and clean room. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and spoke English. Overall great stay.
Very good and big breakfast buffet. Comfortable rooms. The hotel is located in the center of Gdansk close to the railway and bus station.
Central of the city near train station
The central situation close to the railway station, the airport bus and the centre of the city. I have no negative comments.
Overnight stay was purely for business and the hotel satisfied the requirement for a bed and sleep Restaurant - too crowded.
I don't speak Polish but the reception and restaurant staff spoke excellent English and were extremely helpful and friendly. One even came to my room to explain how to operate the safe. The room was clean and well maintained and equipped. The food at dinner and breakfast was excellent and very well presented. I stayed on a Saturday night and was horrified to find that an all-night disco was located just a few yards from my bedroom window. In the event, the double-glazing and air conditioning blocked out all the noise but I was woken about 3am. by the vibrations of the bass beat from the disco. Fortunately, I was able to get to sleep again but I think it might be best if guests were not put in that room on nights when the disco is operating, unless of course the hotel is full, which it was not on this occasion.
The location was excellent - close to railway station. I had arrived on a late flight so was glad to reach hotel safely and quickly. Everything fine.
convenient location , helpful and friendly staff .
Excellent location (and for a good price): Almost at the bus stop from/to the airport (a 34 minute ride and 0.75 euros); Next door to a large multiplex-cinema; In front of the railway station; 5-10 minute walking to old town center. Very quiet rooms (facing the back); Two computers to use free (with a printer); very good breakfast. No decaf coffee at the coffeemaker in the room.
Comfortable and convenience, located close to main station and old town
The friendliness and professional manner of the staff Nice comfortable room, the fact it was near Gdansk main station, good choice of food for breakfast.
Beautifully decorated, small and homely. Friendly and informative staff. Good food and value breakfast. Located on one of the main streets for restuarants. Across from the cathedral and next to the police station. Can thoroughly recommend this hotel. There is no lift. We stayed on the second floor so this was not a problem.
The rooms were new and well furnished. The staff was not very kind.
Artus is probably the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Great location, nice and friendly staff, good breakfast - and the rooms are wonderful. I'm gonna stay there every time I visit Gdansk. The hotel didn't have maps to give out, and I found that a little odd.
The hotel is well designed, and in the center of the city. Excellent localization! Good conditions, well composed breakfast. The lack of the elevator. Some equipment lacks, e.g. the table lamp. The wi-fi was not delivered to the higher levels of the hotel. Misfunctional Sat-TV.
The location and price can't be beat. The room was small but stylish and clean. The bathroom was sizable and modern. The included breakfast was in a cute botique restaraunt, rather than stuck in the lobby as happens at other hotels. Very good value for money. There is no elevator -- could be a factor for older guests or guests with more luggage.
Great location. Microbrewery on site was an added bonus. Very comfortable beds, nice furnishings and decorations throughout. Surprisingly good food in the bar and restaurant. Rooms were a bit noisy, i.e. could hear the people in the room on the next floor walking around their room. Front desk staff were friendly but had no knowledge about things going on in the town. However, that would not deter me from staying here again.
Very good arrangement and comfort
Friendliest staff I´ve ever met, especially the older gentleman working as a porter and the waiters in the restaurant. Excellent breakfast. Ask for a room with a view to the old city. There are six floors but the elevator only goes to the 4th. Keep that in mind if you have any problems walking up the stairs.
First and above all the location and design, secondly nice and helpful staff (though they could be a bit faster during checking out ;). breakfast was fine, could be more cereals and they didn't have my favourite brand of yoghurt. Good value for money.
Very friendly staff throughout hotel. The apartment was very nicely decorated (just like the rest of the hotel) and was very roomy. We had a wonderful view of the marina across the street and Old Town, a 5 minute walk away. Located in a very quiet neighborhood. The breakfast buffet had a great selection and the attached brewery had great food and beer. We loved our stay there!
Good location near Old city (window view Old city), excellent hotel desigh, excellent breakfast, responsive personals, free parking.
We liked the hotel very much. Only that our room was extremely hot (no air condition). At request we got a fan in our room. Air conditioning would be fine, but the hotel was in an old building, so maybe it is not possible. Otherwise everything was just fine.
Hotel Gdansk is beautifully presented. When we were there there was an Autumn theme throughout which was lovely. Our room was clean, modern and well equipped and location couldn't have been better. Brilliant break. All great.
beautiful hotel, perfect for holiday and business, great breakfast and friendly staff.
Location, nice view, cosy hotelroom, very good restaurant, spa The girls at the spa was unprofessionals. Do not book spa-treatments after 17, because the girls will be tired of tourists at that time ;( !!
centrally located, abundant breakfast, free parking, free wireless internet connection very poor view if you are not on the river side
The hotel had a very nice view. You could sit hours in front of the window and just relax and enjoy the view. It is close to all sightseeing attractions in Gdansk. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful.
General comfort Minimal English satelite TV
Great location, very clean and comfortable, pleasant staff.
We liked hotel's location, comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. We stayed one night only so it's impossible to comment.
great location overlooking the river , quiet and close to the old city - all as stated on your web-site the decor was a bit dark and characterless
The hotel is in a great location. close to all shops, bars and resturants. staff couldn't have been more helpful
location and cleanliness
staff are very friendly. i have stayed there many times this year and they know you by name. and are most helpfull. nothing at all.
Non smoking room reserved but not available at check in.
the location the bar and restaurant staff not friendly and not helpful
Hotel is situated on the beach. Indoor swimming pleased our children and the sauna was good. Service-minded hotel receptionists. Breakfast should be included into prise. My children 12 and 10 could been fit to our room instead of taking an own room for them. Extra bed's width was 120 cm.
Friendly staff, good location, very nice view, clean and comfortable room. Gym equipment way too old and wrong located at the pool (!!!), very old facilities, no underground parking, average breakfast, small bar, old style lobby.
The pool was ok and the location ok. Breakfast was poor with mouldy bread served. The room though non smoking had loads of cigarette burns on carpet. The gym was basic at best.Booked an early call, yet wasn't called. Many smokers.
Nearnes of the sea
The fact that we spent 6 nights there and we had not a single sunny day made us really sad. Specially when you are travelling with two little kids. Despite this we could enjoy it due to the family oriented services and we all relaxed quite well. There is unfortunately no air conditioning.
I like the location, the hotel staff (reception) and the free internet.
We had a wonderful time and cannot say enough good things about the hotel. It was clean, reasonably priced, the staff was friendly and helpful, simply perfect! We booked the room with full breakfast, this included scrambled or boiled eggs, assorted sausages, black pudding, baked beans or mushrooms (they alternated), an assortment of fruits, cold meats, cheeses, breads, sweet rolls, cereals, yogurt, juice, and hot drinks. We also tried several things from the room service menu. Everything was excellent. The only complaint is that they did not seem to know what exactly a 'Club Sandwich' is, and sent some rather creative interpretations of this. Not bad, just not a club. The dinner buffet in the dining room was also good, a bit cheaper, but simpler food. The location was perfect if you want to go to the beach. If you want to use the tram, it is a bit of a walk, not too far, but if you have mobility issues it can be difficult. Get specific directions. It is not too complicated but it is not right out front either. The bus is closer, if it goes where you need to. Along the path behind the hotel are several restaurants, we liked the one by the boat club. Excellent food if you're not in a hurry, and we recommend the apple pancakes. There is also mini-golf close by, and the pier is about 2 km away. There are many activities in the hotel itself, for the whole family. Pool, exercise room, tennis, video games in the lobby, and more. We spent most of our ten days relaxing in or near the hotel. We would definitely stay here again or recommend it to a friend. Room Tip: 8th floor, excellent view! It was a bit difficult finding the tram stop the first time. Get specific directions.
Great pool and excellent breakfasts. Right on sea front so easy for swimming and lazing. An easy and interesting walk to Sopot which was lovely. Very near to tram for Gdansk which was also a great day out. Definitely the place to stay to enjoy something of everything. We did have a car though which meant that we could go out each evening to find somewhere good to eat. Shame that the saunas were male/female - we prefer mixed so we can relax together. Having car was good as very few restaurants really close to hotel.
