Good location, nice rooms, helpful staff. Renovation work, nothing was said before we booked. Bar was gone on our 2nd day!!!
Clean, room, location The cost of the reservation differed from the amount I have paid.
hotel is clean and in good area for going about gdansk with plenty to do
Breakfast price was somewhat on the expensive side
Best showers ever. Free internet. Comfortable beds. Good bar. Central location. Breakfast good, but little variety:same every day. The reception area is probably the worst design I have ever seen in a hotel. Impossible to sit and relax, not to mention ugly decor. Bedroom seating very uncomfortable.
The reception staff were courteous and friendly, they spoke good English On several occaisions there was a bad smell from the toilet and sink.
It was very confortable and staff was very pleasent.
good breakfast, kind staff, good location, clean, good rooms, cheap nothing
Proffesionalism of the staff. Design of hotel corridors :)
Please write at least 15 words The food was poor quality via room service
cleaness, comfort, pleasent environment, good location, design should be one person who is mmore informed about eventual problems considering interenet conections
Large comfortable room with good facilities. Very young staff not up to 5* service levels
This hotel had a relaxing atmosphere, which is what you actually need after a busy day at work. Almost everything was according to what you can expect from a brand new Hilton hotel. The breakfast can be improved.
We had very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was versatile and very tasty. Staff was gentile and ready to help in any kind of things.
Very clean and comfortable. Definitely recommended. The breakfast was a little short.
hotel is situated in the silent place, not far away the sandy beach, very friendly staff
worm and friendly ambience may be they can improve a little their cuisine
Nice quiet location
Marvellous breackfast, very helpful staff. Heatings off when outside there were about 5 degrees and the bedroom under roof.
Very good location. Good restaurant and excellent breakfast buffet. Room was rather spartan - a bed, two hard wooden chairs and a wooden desk, wooden floor. It was clean and tidy and the bathroom was very good, but I expected more comfort for the price
excellent service, abundant breakfast and very good location
Close to center of city, close to friends. The loft was wonderful. Location excellent To have a doctor available, if needed, had to call a friend and then the ambulance.
Friendly staff, good location, just 50 metres from the Monte Casino Dtreet The price is charged in zloty, using an exchange rate €1=3,75zlt
Location, staff, breakfast.
Exceptionally charming and helpful staff, combined with elegant environment and ideal location. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've had, anywhere.
The staff were extremely helpful. The room, despite the hotel only being only 200 metres from Monte Cassino, was very quiet. Despite not having air conditioning, it was very hot during our stay, we were provided without asking, with a large electric fan which kept the room cool. The room and en suite were clean and in keeping with the art noveau character of the hotel. The breakfast was excellent in quality choice and quantity. When we used the restaurant facility, again this was of high order. We really enjoyed our stay; the hotel is a good base for exploring Gdansk and Gydinia, the local train runs every 20 minutes to each destination from Sopot. Car parking is secure, on site and free.
Perfect location, nice design, great breakfest. Rather small room.
Great Environment and Staff. Good restaurant. Nice breakfast (except the coffee) Lack of facilities in room, no tea/ coffee, no clock/ radio/ alarm. No hairdryer in bathroom. Surrounding area can be noisy at night.
The owners and staff were very helpful. We were on a mission to find family connected to my wife's father, a Polish soldier from the second world war. Michael, one of the co-owners, and his friend, Jorec, took it upon themselves to be our information gatherers and indeed took us to nearby Tczew, were my wife's Granparents are buried. All this and a very comfortable, clean well run Hotel to boot!!! Highly Recommended although a taxi ride into the Old Town of Gdansk. John & Sue Booth (Derengowski) Maybe a comfortable sitting area
WiFi internet that worked well. Well-designed room. Quiet area. Nothing.
Its location, a pleasant walk into gdansk.superb breakfast.ALL The staff were so HELPFUL.thank them all for making our stay exceptional. regards jane holmes
excellent hotel very good food very helpfull staff i will recommend this hotel one small minus there is no coffe/tea facilities in the room
Fantastic place, the price is economical, the rooms are nice and smart, the restaurant has amazing food, the hotel staff if friendly and helpful, and you will make friends just by staying here. Gym +++
Breakfast is very excellent. "Apartment" room is very spacious. Only one reading lamp in all apartment /2 rooms/. Kitchen is unserviceable, no refrigerator, no kitchen-ware.
Very nice and helpfull staff. Great breakfast. Good, fresh, homemade ( but bit basic) food in the restaurant. The room and bathroom furnish very nice as for this kind of hotel. Free WiFi and Parking on site makes good value for the money. I got mineral water in my room only on the first day.
Serviece, courtessy of staff. Value for money
staff Except for conference rooms lack of business facilities like secluded areas to sit together with other people to talk on business. This is what you expect from a hotel which is profiled as business.
We liked the fact that it wasn't right in the centre and so couldn't hear too much traffic noise. It also only had 44 rooms, which made it quite an intimate hotel. I was a little disappointed that there was no hair dryer provided in the room, and also our sink had no plug. Aside from these small matters, and blaring music till 4am one night, the hotel is really rather perfect for a few days away!
I like friendly services. There was a small thing, a bit too less hangers in the closet.
Very kind attitude.
its out of center so was very quiet 30 minits to airport in the morning the room was big and comfteble its a pension not hotel small and quiet with parking
Good value for the money. Fair prices. Friendly staff. A bit of noice from the highway outside.
Staff was really nice and polite, it felt they personally took care of you.
I appreciated the calm and quiet location with very easy access into Gdansk centre. The staff could not do enough to help while at the same time giving us complete privacy and space. Modern and comfortable bedrooms. No complaints. Would return and would recommend all family and friends to this hotel.
Very friendly, flexible, excellent staff. It was a bit cold in the hall where the breakfast was served.
Easy to reach. Good service. Convenient rooms. The number of people in hotel is small. Everything what is necessary is there and no extra luxury. The breakfast is given at the time you want. No complaints.
Very friendly, kind, flexible staff. The service we got was excellent. It was a bit cold in the hall where the breakfast was served.
personal comfort, small in size and no stress, not much other tourists Rather small rooms, I missed a sofa to sit in and view television, I would also prefer a waterboiler för instant coffe and tea, which is common on British hotels.
The beds were not confortable
A nice, small, kind-of-family-owned place in quiet area. Rooms are small but cozy. Excellent service.
Room was fairly basic with 2 english speaking tv channels. If you don't need to spend alot of time in the room, it would be good hotel.
Beautiful building and high standard of finish inside, rooms very comfortable and elegantly furnished. Staff very polite and willing to please. I liked the breakfast buffet whihc had a wide variety plus chef cooked breakfast option at no extra cost. 1. Food (dinner) and dining service in this hotel is fair but not up to other European 5 Star hotels and certainly should be better for the price. 2. Although my room was impressively furnished, the bed gave me serious back ache after just one night. I do not have problems with my back and would suggest the bed is too soft 3. No foreign exchange available in such a large and expensive hotel! 4. The Internet connection was so slow it was virtually unusable
Our suite #214 - one of the biggest rooms in the whole hotel! And the individual exclusive feeling of staying in such a historical hotel! If the walls could speak... We ordered food to the room (room service) and it didn´t fullfill the expecations of a 5-star hotel. Plain and standard taste unfortunately...
The best is the bed, very comfortable. Also, the free internet in the room is ok. Very nice building (hystorical). Lack of english language channels on tv. The central heating system didn't work in first instance, but they fixed it somehow. The internet also couln't work until somebody fixed it. Room service didn't answer several times. Anyway, the resort is more populated in the summer because of the sea side.
Most comfortable beds in Europe!!!
Lower price - price in Poland for the type of Hotel to high - I have been in other hotel in Gdansk (Novotel) also close to the beach like Sofitel -and the diffirent in price is to high - We are not getting much more at Sofitel compare to Novotel - and the price at Sofitel is more than 25 % more expencive When we have to go to the beach you have to work around the hole hotel - there is no directly entrance to the beach h
Friendly staff and the comfiest bed I have slept in
Sea view, bath robes, luxurious cosmetics, excellent bed and bed linnen, tea and coffee in the room low quality TV, room layout, uncomfortable bar area with the unpleasant smell from the restaurant, no lobby/lauch/relaxing area with sea view. From 5 star hotel being so expensive I expected much more, however the view from the window compensated for everything
The Room was so dirty. We had the same problem last year when we stayed in the same hotel.
swomming poll and sauna
The quality of the place and the pool indeed. Late checkin time 2pm and early checkout 10am !
Superb value hotel 10 minite walk from the old town
It was available The hotel was quite out-of-the-way and surrounded by old unused buildings in what must have been some kind of industrial area.
The breakfast was good. Why no bed-making?
We could choose if have a breakfest or not, and could tram connections to the City centrum
The space, the surroundings, style and decor. Hotel is situated in more interesting part of Gdansk than hotels in the Old Town. We loved breakfasts even though the English complained ( as always) when we were there! No air conditioning in the room. It was really worm there.
The beds were very comfortable, 24 hr receiption, friendly staff. No need for a taxi catch the bus number 210 to the centre just 3zl then a 10 min walk to hotel. No kettle in the room or mini bar not a complaint just an idea.
price and service lack of elevator and telephones in the rooms
Quite good hotel? good location and value for money...
Room was comfortable, clean, good light, good personal, service. Near the Center. Nothing
I was able to arrive after 9pm. The windows onto the carpark on the 1st floor did not seem very secure.
Great place! The room was attractive, quiet, and comfortable. Staffs are very kind and friendly. Recommended!
Simply great! Very nice b&b, clean, quiet, good location in front of the river, few minutes from very nice beaches, only 15minutes drive from Gdansk center(there are buses+ferry too)...nice place for cheap price in Gdansk! Thx natalia again for everything it was really nice to spend those 2 nights in yoour b&b ;) Nothing!
Situated in the countryside but good connection to the city centre (bus or boat). Sitting on the terrace next to the Vistula, watching the beaver. Brilliant breakfast buffet, separate kitchen for all with fridge, electric kettle, coffee/tea. Management speaking English fluently, always friendly and very helpful with competence.
The family that runs the hotel, was very friendly and made us feel like home. The hotel has a perfect location if you are looking for peace and wonderful nature. The dune is very close and it's not too crowded.
combination of great countryside and city trip experiences + good guidance by the host
Clean and welcoming Not enough towels and no air/con
Nice location, nice people are running the place, clean, new construction None, just need to keep in mind, It's not a hotel, it's a pensionat...
This is a beautiful pensione next to the river. It has modern clean rooms, some with lovely views of the river. It has a big enclosed car park. Breakfast was very nice and varied. Owner was very helpful. It was a 20 minute drive into Gdansk Old Town.
there was no air conditioning and in a 4 star hotel this is not acceptable
Location, Location, Location Needed larger mirror to assist women in checking their clothing
Friendly and helpful reception, good breakfast buffet and nice overall atmosphere. At the time some rooms were unavailable because the electric keys malfunctioned. My co-workers were relocated to a neigboring hotel. The street is not very safe after dark. Take a taxi and don't walk the last 200 meters.
New and clean hotel with an excellent situation. Very friendly and helpful staff. A mirror also in the room, now the only mirror was in the bathtub.
Central Location MAybe too small, construction next door
Sentral due to the old town. Everything was new and clean. Modern. Nothing
The warm and genuine welcome from the Manager. The location was excellent as was the breakfast. The room well designed, compact but most acceptable. The absence of a lift meant guests on the 3rd floor (as we were) needed to have a stong pair of legs and lungs.
The specially designed rooms are excellent. Breakfast was up to the standard with wide variety. Service is the best as the girls will try their best to make us feel at home. They should provide a international plugs for tourist use.
The hotel was ideally situated, small but with very friendly, helpful staff.
Good location. Personal service. Free wireless internet. Uncomfortable, small room. No chair with back. Noisy, lots of noise from outside, all hours of day and night.
the price the sheets were too small for the bed
It is an old hotel with very poor standard. I was not even able to lock my door.
Excellent place for short trip to Sopot due to hotel's location.Nice and clean bathroom. TV in my room was connected badly, failed several times. Hotel staff bored and without smile, seemed to be not happy and disturbed by the guests.
It is a good location, close to the high street, beach and train station
The hotel was clean and well located The electricity failed twice, the restaurant was not open the first evening I arrived, I had to wait 24 hours for a replacement light bulb for my bedside lamp.
Not much. It is handy for the centre The service was poor. The beds were not made up properly. We arrived for breakfast at just before 10am and they did not want to serve us. The attitude of staff was that they were indifferent. And, no one smiles.
The Hotel Europa was suberbly situated for the railway station for trains to Gdansk, Hel and beyond. The room I was in was excellent, and the reception staff were very friendly. It was relatively good value for money. I was disappointed in the breakfasts which were little more than a couple of slices of cheese and of ham, a few slices of bread and a small roll, and small portions of jam and honey. And there was no bar open in the evenings.
Easy access to city centre. Nice and polite staff. Cleaning og room during stay not proper. Only clean towels. Not properly clean at arrival. Still: not bad value for what we payed, but some more cleaning would have raised the experience.
We were in Sopot with our two Husky's for an international dog show. The hotel was well located for both the show and the town's entertainment area (good for our 18 year old daughter). Friendly, helpful, english speaking staff. 100 PLN for an extra bed in the room seemed a little excessive
It'r right in the center of Sopot. Close to the railway station, 10 mins walk to the beach. The breakfast is quike meager.
Very clean, spacious and comfortable room. Great value for money with parking and breakfast included. Close to old town, short walk and tram ride. Under renovations
The friendly staff, the hotel is complete renwed and it's close to the centre: only 3 stops either by bus or by tram. My room was a little bit cold, I'm an Mediterranean man and I prefer high temperature. ;-)
The room was great, a spacious room with very comfy bed and an amazing shower in the en suite. The staff were friendly too.The tram stop to the old town was 2 mins away, really convenient for getting into town.
good staff. good breakfast. position without trafik. wi-fi ok. i think that when the hotel and the road'll be completed it will be a very very good hotel. the hotes is incomplete: in the morning mens starts working and it's impossible to sleep. no air conditioning, but the night is fresh. no frigo-bar. very bad road (absolutely not for sports cars).
The friendliness of the hotel staff. No
very clean and comfortable, friendly service, close to the city center (just 3 tram stops), nice breakfast, good value there is no lift in this hotel and no air conditioning in the rooms
Helpful Staff, great breakfast, quiet location fairly close to the town centre. Brilliant
Clean, modern and relaxed Could be closer to old town, but tram connections are qood
Very helpful English-speaking staff, clean and spacious rooms, quiet place Very hard to find, particularly, if you travel by car
Ok sized room. Very nice bathroom. Breakfast good. Wall to wall carpets in rooms.
Staff is very nice. I walked about 15min from the central station, but this rocation is very good for sightseeing in the city. Room is simple and clean. Shared buthroom is large and clean.
Good location Shared bathroom
Clean basic accommodation in a good location. Everything worked as expected. Quiet. Secure. Excellent, friendly staff. Recommended. I stayed on the fourth floor, and there was no lift. I have no problem with this, but some travellers might. The staircase was also steep and narrow. The shower also had a very low ceiling, making it impossible to stand (however, I didn't even look at the other shower on the same floor)
Near from the centre!
Helpful staff, conveniently located
Office staff spoke some english and helpful with maps/directions. Kitchen facilities provided where able to prepared own meals. Note: need to provide own towel, soap and food, and payment by cash only
Occupation is amazing. There is nothing better! The hostel is quite itself, very nice and helpful personnel!
nice location, friendly staff, сlean rooms and bathroom.
Very warm and kind spirit from the owners in spite late arrival and low time in business.
Hotel facilities were good - recently refurbished and a good breakfast. Location okay - a 10 to 15 minute walk from the centre of town. Beds were extremely hard.
I liked the communication with the staff. They all were very friendly. It is very nice, when customer service is given by the owners of the hotel.
very welcoming staff. excellent food. comfy clean room. i would be very happy to stay there again!
friendly and helpful staff, family atmosphere. this hotel is ideal for people who need a place to stay close to the airport eg. businessmen or, in my case, people visiting for a wedding and arriving at the airport late at night. nothing wrong with the hotel. but be careful when you take a taxi from the airport - don't take an unmarked car as i did. you shouldn't need to pay more than 50 zl at night rates to get to the hotel (i paid 78, not much in pounds, but exorbitant in local money!
staff. very friendly
friendly personal staff, good service, clean room in suburbs of Gdansk-quiet, convienently close to airport (10 min). a bit too far from old centre of Gdansk.
Good food Lack of towels, soap was watered down, could hear noise from other rooms, bed very uncomfortable, tv did not work, lack of things available on the menu
Warm welcome from thé owner wi fi free
friendly welcome no
Nice rooms and nice owners. Dont speek russian or english. Location not perfect.
The hotel is quiet and clean. The owner is pleasant and helpful. I recommended that one for people who would like to rest and for families.
The tranquility was as described - truely relaxing. The food was very good and the sea a lovely walk away
Courteous helpfull staff most of who could speak English, food good, room clean and comfortable - nearby attractions include bars, beach and nature reserve, public transport into Gdansk okay (buses) Not enough veggie food on general menu
cleanliness and staff very helpful and friendly
Clean room. Good buffet breakfast, pleasant restauraunt. Staff spoke good English. Did not get double, only twin; or adjoining rooms, although they did try to change this but were unable to do so. Had to pay an additional cost for parking daily which was not expected. Also sauna and jacuzzi was additional charge. Disappointed could not pay in pounds to Zloty as lost money due to Euro rate.
- very noisy
the meals were fit for a king. the breakfasts were phenominal the evening meal which was a separate price was.terrific value for money.
The staff was very nice and rooms were cosy. I a truly going to get there another time also. Bathroom was very small at least in our room
An excellent small hotel with very helpful staff. Very peaceful location, yet close to train station (5-10mins) Huge breakfasts set you up for the rest of the day. I would have liked Fruit juice at Breakfast The shower in my Room (107) was difficult to use without flooding the bathroom floor.
Staff were friendly, helpfull and the accommadation was to a high standard. Food was excellant too
What an excellent host Bartek is. Nothing is too much trouble. Collected us from the airport as arranged. Makes such a difference when you enter a country for first time to have the assurance someone reliably to take you to your destination. none.
At first impression, Willa Albatros is very appealing asthetically. It is located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of major transit. Once one steps inside, it is very obvious the care and detail that is put into making this hotel extraordinary. Everything is orderly, neat, and clean. The rooms are comfortable, and the food is of very high quality (breakfast and dinner during our stay). Above all, it is the staff that makes Willa Albatros what it is. This is a very personable place to be. Anyone considering staying in Gdansk/Oliwa should seriously look into booking here- you will not be disappointed. If I get the opportunity to go back to this part of Poland in the near future, I plan to return to Willa Albatros.
it was in a quiet area but very near trains and the beach if you went 20 minutes down to beach they had dancing in park for all the family young and old alike the owners couldn't have been nicer and were very helpfull . meals were lovely very tasty would recommend it highly
The staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfasts tasty and filling. Central location between the beach and Oliwa Cathedral. Everything was clean, fresh, and new looking.
you are made to feel very welcome indeed and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They go out of their way to help. Also free soft drinks, tea, coffee 24 hours a day was superb. Breakfasts were huge with plenty variety and evening meals were great and reasonable priced. I would recommend this hotel 110%.They even organised taxi to pick up and drop us off at airport. All staff were very very friendly.
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room and bathroom. Quiet location. Nice balcony which would have been great in the summer. Location was a 15 minute train ride from the centre and then a ten minute walk.
Friendly welcome Excellent breakfast
I can recommend this place as a value for money alternative. Breakfast buffet is better than most similar priced alternatives. Rooms are big enough and bathrom clean and nice. It is a 20 minites walk down to the old city, downhill... so plan for more time if walking back. But taxi to most places in the city is only 20 zloty or less. The internet connection which is included in the room rate is quiet good. The family running this small hotel is helpful and available 24 hours day. I had busy schedule due to some work assignments and they assisted me when needed. They also organized my taxi for a 04.00 in the morning departure. Abak is recommended. The only problem is thin walls so if the people next room are noisy,... you will feel you are participating whatever is happening.
Excellent breakfast, friendly staff
Breakfast is superb. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very basic. No blind on one of the windows. There is a total lack of facilities nearby except for a medium-sized supermarket. You need to get a bus or taxi home from the centre as it's a long uphill walk.
It was comfortable, nice, clean and inexpensive, Manager was a lovely lady, who we found to be very helpful.
friendly staff breakfast excellent
Good friendly staff, good breakfast and near to bus to centrum. Room 25 TV not so good!!
Though there was poor communication with the hotel staff due to their not speaking English, they made it up by being particularly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this "mini-hotel".
