Pros: Clean. Easy parking. Great breakfast. Fab staff. Superb value.
Cons: Tea or coffee in the room would be nice!
Pros: Hotel is nice. It is a wooden building in the middle of the village among forest hills. The owner opened the doors in the late evening to let me in (I was a little bit to late). Woman who servs there speaks Polish.
Pros: Cute little guesthouse with very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Nobody present upon arrival but the guy was only a phone call away.
Pros: Very friendly and helpful owners. Both speak very good English.

Pros: The host was very friendly and spoke perfect English. The guesthouse felt homy and cozy. Beautiful location in nature. Dogs welcome! Would go back!
Pros: The friendly and helpful staff Excellent value for the money
Pros: We did a detour on a trip from Freiburg to Berlin and stayed at the Gasthof Thueringer Wald. To be honest, we didn't know how MUCH of a detour it was going to be. However, owner Johannes couldn't have been more welcoming. The place is spotless. And Johannes' aunt does a great breakfast. All in all, the detour was worth it!
Pros: Nice accomodation at a very good price in the beautiful Thuringian forest (by the way, that's the perfect place if you are searching for a relaxing holiday, or like hiking, biking and other outdoor activities; and Coburg is not so far away if you like visiting cities as well). The owner is very kind and speaks fluent English, so this accomodation is perfect if you don't know German. Breakfast is absolutely great, the rooms are tiny but nice and very clean. You will also appreciate the garden, especially if you are travelling with kids. We strongly recommend it!
Pros: Everythink was ok. Room was really clean. Good place for everyone .
With a stay at Hotel Gasthof Garkueche in Leutenberg, you'll be steps from Thuringian Forest and Saale Valley. Featured amenities include luggage storage and a safe deposit box at the front desk.
Pros: Very pretty historic building. Good dinner and breakfast. Very helpful staff. Beautiful old town and hotel.

Pros: Great location.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The Bauhaus architecture and design is absolutely unique and stunning! The staff was extremely helpful and attentive, they even opened the terrasse especially for us. The room was spacious, cool, had Bauhaus furniture, the beds were comfy and the views are great! The breakfast was excellent with a good variety of food.
Cons: There was no wifi in the room.
Pros: Great authentic hotel. Like a time travel back to the 30’s. Amazing.
Pros: The room was very clean
Cons: Was empty, i think we were the only ones there
Pros: Interesting architecture and history. One for modernist/Bauhaus fans (which I am, and the reason I went). The staff were super helpful and friendly. The hotel only has 22 rooms, but it's a big building, and I hadn't realised original features such as the bowling alley were still in place (or at least reinstated). It was fascinating wandering around the building, there's ever a museum on the ground floor with interesting material from the original hotel. I only stayed one night, but the area looked beautiful…
Pros: Very kind and attentive staff at breakfast, authentic and special athmosphere in a remote east-german historic site
Cons: the entrance is not easy to find (both for pedestrians and motorists)
Pros: Comfortable overall stay
Cons: WIFI was incredibly slow
Cons: No reception apart from a link to a mobile number on the hard-to-open door. We were never greeted by anyone. Noone did really take care of us. We felt not welcome.
Pros: From the outside it looked like a nice castle.
Cons: We got a lousy service. The restaurant was not open and it took the staff 3 hours to tell us and no restaurant open in the area. We could not get into or get a tour of the castle, the staff would not bother. And there wasn’t even a Glass to drink from. The vibe off the place was so bad we had to leave after 4 hours. Very disappointing.
Pros: it is a unique experience to stay at the castle. Enjoyed the rustic experience. Didn't miss the radio or TV. Felt at home in my room and left reluctantly after 4 days. Breakfast was great with wide selection of breads and cold cuts. Coffee was outstanding.
Cons: of course, lack of A/C for an american tourist was a bit unusual.
