That said, we have minimal solar power, though so that phones can be charged though a signal is intermittent and definitely no wifi. The solar will also charge a light or two should you wish more light for making dinner, etc. The property is very private but there is a small village nearby with wifi and a town 10km away with large grocery store and wifi cafe. The local people are wonderful and we have a lot of international visitors to the island. Getting around There are no buses and few taxis. You'll need a car. Other things to note BRING: your own coffee, foods, drinking water, ice COOKING: many of our friends love to cook, so we have a good set-up with a large table for food prep, etc. It doesn't take long to figure things out, just use common sense and logic and imagine you are your ancestor! OUTDOOR SHOWER: is unheated but warms up in the sun. Everyone finds their own unique technique to stay clean and oddly, often lose taste for warm showers upon returning to 'civilization'!
