Beautiful gardens, most of the staff very nice and helpful, nice Olympic pool, spacious and well furnished rooms, good location (10 min by bus from Kos town). Poorly renovated bathrooms, bad quality food, atmosphere of 'mass tourism' in restaurants and pool areas (noisy, endless queues, in no way relaxing ), some facilities (f.ex. billard, air condition in our rooms !!! ) constantly out of order.
It ıs a good hotel and you get what you paıd for. Although there was a warnıng about sea beds reservatıons almost each one was reserved.
Very helpful stuff, trying to satisfy any reasonable wish. Beautiful hotel, nice service! Animation for kids sometimes was cancelled without notice
Nice pools and not to overcrowded. Good bus connection to Kos town. It is a good hotel but you don't expect to get 4star quality if you book a 5*star hotel, especially from a chain like Iberostar. The buffets are not good enough, 5 days the same musician whole evening, the maintenance of the garden. Beach towels can only be picked up at very limited times.
We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The facilities were excellent. Modern style rooms. There were five pools, so as enough to accomodate everyone. Nice location. Quite peaceful at night. The food was also very good
It was a clean place to come back to at the end of the day. Nice architecture. It was not actually in Tigaki-needed to rent a car to get around and it was not something we had budgeted for.Food was bland and not 5* standard-very repetitive.Flies on buffet.Breakfast too busy had to wait in line for coffee and food(live stations manned by 1 person only).Staff lacked knowledge.Towels(room & pool) smelled bad.Claimed to have WiFi in rooms but didn't.No questionnaire to fill out at the end of stay for feedback. No PR/Guest Relations Manager.
Peaceful Shower head completely unpredictable. Needed top sheet on bed as doona too heavy
The view of the sea is wonderful. Also the design of the hotel is very nice.
If you are looking for a perfect Hotel with the most amazing swimming pools you'll ever see, and all of this at a fair price, this is the place to go.
Constructed in 2009, deserves each one of its 5 stars! It is very modern, very clean, a deluxe hotel. Staff was more than polite and very friendly, breakfast was superb, very spacious room which had an incredible sea and infinity pool view, modern design in every corner! Loved every minute of it! It was one of the greatest weekend breaks we've had! No flaw in my opinion!
The view, the design of the hotel, the privacy, the hospitality of the hotel staff, the swimmingpool restautant facilities and service 1.when you take shower in the bathroom water is coming out of the bath to be cheked. 2.Breakfast to be improved having a diet corner and the fresh orange juice also.
We enjoyed the beautiful view and enjoyed the varied breakfast-buffet (they even had whole grain bread). The evening service at the main bar was really good- very friendly barkeeper. The pianist at the main bar plays a very nice mixed musicial program.Towels were always provided at the pool and at the beach. The food and service in the "à la carte" Restaurant was disappointing (service unpolite). In addition, the reception seemed unmotivated to answer any question (e.g. for the taxi service to the airport we needed to ask 3 times to organise this). In the bathroom we had problems with the shower since the hothead was not stable and the water came out of the drain and spilled over the whole bathroom. Furthermore, the beds gave us a back-ache.
The comfort was excellent. The materials used in the hotel was of a very high quality. The hotel has a different view of garden view than booking.com has. The main pool area was not well organised. It was difficault to get towels and sunbeds.
Friendly and efficient staff, excellent breakfast, impeccable and modern decorated rooms, great pool and gardens
The position is fantastic as one can walk to the Plaka, Ermou, Omonia, Acropolis etc. and the tour bus stops just opposite. Food is limited but good. The internet in the room is wired which is a shame but works well. The menu is limited and only the coffee shop was open in the evening but the food was very good and room service was excellent. My only comment is that the rooms have no atmosphere - no flowers (even artificial!) in the room, no dressing gown or slippers and there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. A cup of tea from room service is 6€ and if like me you like lots - it is an expensive exercise.
located near the harbour and city sightseeing points Air conditioner was inefficient to keep air fresh without opening the window although it was already not as hot as in summer. Swimming pool was unexpectedly empty, no information provided on the homepage about this seasonal facility (some other hotels in the area had pool available)
Close to attractions Clerk was watching Porno movie while doing my paper work
Fair enough, in fact better than expected.
The Alexandra was clean and quite acceptable. The breakfast was of a good standard. For Greece it was above standard and I would consider staying there again. The matresses could have been softer.
The good will of the staff in overcoming some problems with the first room The swimming pool was inactive
We were staying in Bodrum, Turkey, and used the hotel for an extended trip to Koss Town. Well situated close to the ferries and town. Good breakfast.
We were very happy with the Hotel. Upon arrival we found much to our surprise that they upgraded our room to a suite because we we celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary. I had a problem getting wireless in my room. The hotel manager came up and helped me get on line. Our stay was more than we expected
room with fantastic view and is was quiet
Great view of the harbor off our balcony which made for a wonderful romantic glass of wine after a walk along the wharf as we explored the first evening. Good breakfast included in the bill which gave us energy to tour the old fort and relax a bit before boarding our sail boat. We will definitely recommend the hotel as a good value in a great spot and will be coming back soon for a longer stay.
Very good standard, clean and very nice outdoor area The towel service was bad
The hotel was beautifully decorated and was very confortable. It had everything you would need for a very relaxing holiday. We stayed in a Superior Pool Room which was excellent and worth paying the extra. All the facilities you needed i.e. terrace and sun beds were right outside the patio door to the room. The reception staff were excellent. There was not alot around the hotel although you can get a bus into Kos town about 10 mins away. There should therefore be entertainment at the hotel which unfortunately there wasn't. Also, certain members of staff needed training in customer service and were certainly not of 5 star standard. On the other hand there were a couple of members of staff who were excellent. I am sure this will be rectified in coming years as the hotel is new and so are the staff.
We liked the big pool, the delicious meals and the luxury rooms and the design of the hotel very much. Service also as its best. nothing
comfort, nice atmosphere the waiting time for lunch orders
Is is very good white hotel with interesting disign. I don't like the breakfast. The beach is not very comfortable and situated across the road.
location, rooms, pool, design very nice. Room price was supposed to include internet access from the room. There was a computer in the room and they told us that we can use it to access internet + listen to music + watch video. Unfortunately none of those functionalities were working. We asked them to repair it or change our room, but they did nothing except telling that we have to wait until monday for the repairman to come and fix it. Not reasonable since we were there for a weekend. In conclusion this is a very nice but badly managed hotel...
I appreciated the nice location of the accomodation and the peace and quiet of the environment. No people was crying during day or night! This is the ideal place where relax. I also appreciated the committment of the staff to help us to face some problems we had.We reserved at the beginning only for 2 nights. Then we went to south. And once back on the north we could stay one night more, in a better accomodation at the same price. Good cooking. We stayed on October, so some nights were cold: in these nights the restaurant room, even if closed by big winwows, had open doors for use of customers dining outside.
the pool bar restaurants arw not too inviting very white and stark
The overall design of the hotel and the room was to a high standard and included a pc. The shower was fantastic (but see comment below too)The hotel had a pleasant relaxed feel. Reception and bar staff very good. Restaurant staff were mixed, some very good, others not so good. Overall this hotel is "style over substance". Although the room (pool side view, ground floor) was of a high standard it lacked real privacy, I suspect this would be even worse when the hotel was fully occupied as the terrace area outside the room is public space. The shower was great however the shower door was almost impossible to open from the inside due to a very small handle - if you stayed in the room on your own you could easily get trapped in the shower! The buffet food for the evening meal was sadly not up to the 5-Star rating this hotel claims.
The staff provided great customer service; friendly, nice and helpful.
The recreation facilities are excellent
We realy like our stay at Grecotel Kos. It was unbelievable experience for my family ! We like our room because it was realy nice , comfortable and with a beautiful view. The breakfast was the rishest one we have ever seen. Also we fell in love with the park of the hotel. The landshaft architecture was brilliant. The beach was the perfect place for swimming , resting and having fun. Everything was really amazing ! We have no complaints about Grecotel Kos Imperial !
Water and watersports. Comfort and pools. The buffet was not of a high quality...quantity is not quality and most of the time quality is much more important than quanity. Also, for a family of 4 americans, we do not eat 35 dollars worth of food each. The price is so high for the quality of food being low.
Interior design of lobby very sophisticated -- calm and simple, pleasing to the eye. Beautiful view of the pool area and sea (in lobby&lobby bar). A sumptuous breakfast -- the only thing I missed was drinking water, everything else was there, and more. Friendly and efficient service, not at all pushy. The hotel contacted me in advance to confirm the reserved dates and arrival time, and arranged airport transportation. Pool area and private beach were excellent; clean and well-maintained. Quiet and nice rooms. Free movies and music/entertainment in the evenings. No internet access in the room; hourly cost high for WLAN in the lobby. Very little to do/see in the vicinity of the hotel (but compensated by punctual and frequent bus connection to Kos center).
Room and pools enjoyable. Kids loved facilities. Transportation from town to hotel difficult. Hotel needs to provide guest with more help assistance in transportation.
Animation and the lagoons
The reception staff both day and night were excellent. Fast and efficient upon check-in and check-out. Friendly and informative when answering questions. Excellent English. Prompt with assistance when problem with Wi-Fi internet. And yes, excellent Wi-Fi available. The restaurant was excellent. Gourmet type food, but in a relaxed, bar type setting. The waiters friendly and informative. Do have to get their attention for assistance when needed, but think that's more a cultural thing vice poor service. Very good assortment at breakfast. Many locals in the restaurant at all hours....a good thing. Wonderful stay with wonderful people. All good, no complaints.
This hotel has a great location and a very nice view of the sea from each room. The H2O restaurant on the waterfront is also quite nice. I had dinner there twice and enjoyed the food. However, I thought that the furniture in my room looked a bit old, of poor quality and the night table was very scratched. Generally, I got the impression in this hotel that they seemed to have wanted to create an impression of a quality boutique hotel without spending too much on quality furniture. The breakfast buffet looked nice but the food was not good. Some of the fruit had gone bad but was still on the buffet. I think overall, I would still recommend to stay at this hotel based on its location but would suggest not to have breakfast there.
excellent kindness of staff, good food (breakfast), design, location near the center of Kos and marvelous sunny terrace in front of the sea for having breakfast
İ returned to Kos after a brief visit last year just so that İ could stay again. The sound of the waves is wonderful! Everythıng was as I remembered it-- matchless view, comfortable and modern furnishings, ultra-helpful reception staff, and great location on the water and near town. İ have told all my friends about this place. Highest recommendation! Staff at breakfast is not as friendly as the rest of the hotel staff-- but the food itself is excellent.
Classy conversion of a 70's building. Great food and excellent dessert place around corner. All rooms face onto the water. Very comfortable and classy.
The position on the sea between the port and the marina - perfect for us as we love the sea, sailing and boats. The mention of a pool was an attraction but the reality of it was extremely disappointing. You should not include the pool on your advertising as a feature - our fish pond is bigger!!
Good view. Excellent room and facilities No
View is incredible; there is only Sea from the window. When you are in bath, you can open a small store and see the view even there. It is only 5-6 minutes of walk from the Kos center and this is irreplaceable. For sunbathing, there are 10-12 chaise longues (it was enough) without interacting with sand. For swimming, there are small rocks but it was very clean. There are 2 things: first one is restaurant is a little expensive compared to outside restaurants (H2O restaurant is well known in Kos and considered as one of the best so the food is very nice and I can easily say price/quality ratio is very good - your money is not wasted but it is not cheap...). Second one is the glass separators (not transparent) in the balconies have 5-10 cm of distance from the wall and you can see your neighbour from some angles - they put small tulle curtains to correct. So you have to force yourself to find a negative aspect of the hotel. (one last comment - internet is not free)
The hotel is located right on the beach and is within walking distance from the Old Town of Kos. The room is spacious, nicely decorated, and has a big balcony with a unique view to the Turkish coast. The hotel's H2O restaurant is one of the best in town.
Lovely, almost quirky, design but cheaply and frankly shoddily put together. excellent outdoor dining and bar area literally right on the waters edge. good breakfast! not particularly good value for money. very stange interaction from the front office staff !!?? shocking lift! no one to help with luggage.
Very clean, good standard accommodation. You even get a kettle in the room. Towels and bedding changed daily. Lively bar, but it cannot be heard in the bedroom. Aircon extra (this is normal I believe). Only confusion is that the hotel does not take credit cards. The booking confirmation stated credit cards were ok, but on check-out we found out it was not. Not really the fault of the hotel, but a breakdown in communication.
Friendliness of the staff and central location to the resort.
Astron Hotel was in an excellent location with stunning views of Harbor and Castle of Kos. The staff was very friendly and highly attentive to the guests' wishes. They made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to our friends
The hotel staff were great. The hotel was located near everything we wanted to see. This hotel room was bigger than most European rooms.
