El Palauet de Monells - Monells - Building
1
9.6 Excellent (207 reviews)
Overview Reviews
El Palauet de Monells is located in Monells' charming village square, in the Catalan countryside. This property has an indoor pool and an indoor saltwater hot tub. The rooms at the Palauet feature attractive rustic décor. Each one comes with under-floor heating and a private bathroom with a bathrobe and slippers. Bed linen and towels are included. The property serves a daily continental breakfast in the dining room. There is also a bright, charming lounge where you can relax, and free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. El Palauet de Monells also offers a massage service at an extra cost. There are various bars and restaurants in the village square. Les Gavarres Nature Reserve is a short drive from the property, and the surrounding countryside is great for hiking, cycling and horse riding. You can drive to Girona and the coast in around 30 minutes.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very beautiful, with two common lounges on two floors, lots of books, nice lighting in the evening...on the main square of the village. We also liked the pool/ jacuzzi area that has no fixed opening hours. Very nice breakfast. And the best hosts ever, always smiling! We would be happy to return.
Cons: The wifi signal in our room was not very strong.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host couple is fabulous. They went above and beyond to accommodate us and make our stay incredible. The hotel setting is charming. I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful hotel. If you are considering staying here just book it now. You won’t find a better place to stay.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was wonderful.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful medieval building in lovely village. The room was on the small side but ok and the delightful terrace helped. Big common rooms with comfy armchairs for reading and daydreaming.
Cons: Could do with a big revamp, less stuffy, conventional and ultimately tired look. The place could be amazing ! The bathroom was substandard.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in a renovated charming old building, with lovely common areas, all nicely decorated. It is perfectly located in the lively main square of the village. We stayed there for a few days and explored a big part of the coast driving from there. The lady owner and the staff are very very nice and helpful, they genuinely do their best for the guests to enjoy their stay, they supported with recommendations and tips for the area. We felt like home, not in a hotel :) I really liked the building, it would have been lovely to hear its history as well. The hotel has an indoor pool, we haven't tried it, yet the area looked nice. The breakfast was good, they serve a homemade cheese which is delicious. Loved it.
Cons: If you are into modern spaces and looking for the comfort of a regular newly refurbished four star hotel, that's not the place for you. This is an old building with its pros and cons. It offers a different experience and atmosphere, it has its own charm and personality as it is. Same about the location, this is a small village with some restaurants in the main square. Do not expect a vivid resort with shopping areas and other commercial activities. Actually this is why we liked the village, for its relaxed and authentic atmosphere.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was nice and comfortable, the food was very good and the hospitality was great. Would have been nice to explore the local town if we had time but it was a late stopover for us. If you need early breakfast before 8am at weekends best to advice the lady the night before.
Cons: Hotel was difficult to find, located in a pedestrianised square and sat nav was struggling to find it although we were only a few yards away! Some signage around the local roads would have helped. Internet not working due to the basic network in the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cosy, lovely place to stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremly frendly an fantastic stuff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This beautiful “little palace” was the highlight of our cycling tour through the Empordà. We were warmly welcomed by the owners and given a tour of their charming spacious home. There is an incredible grotto pool on the ground floor, an inviting backyard garden, and large living rooms with very comfortable couches and chairs on each floor. Our room was cozy and comfortable with a sizeable wardrobe to hang clothes and store luggage. The bathroom has a great shower, good towels and various bath amenities. Breakfast was wonderful (fresh squeezed OJ, sliced fresh fruit, delicious croissants/meats/cheeses, great coffee) The restaurant on the square was closed and the owner prepared dinner for us each evening. He is a talented chef and the meals were delicious and beautifully presented. We were treated like royalty! Monells is a lovely small medieval village and the perfect location for touring the Baix Empordà. You can visit the nearby museums and villages and then return to relax at the very lovely Palauet de Monells.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely, authentic Spanish hotel, very historic, in an ancient village. Very kind staff, comfortable bed and good breakfast. Very good value. We would happily return as it is quite a unique experience.
Cons: It was hard to find the hotel as it is in a pedestrianised square. We drove round the village 3 times, and then only found it by accident. You need to park by the river bed and then walk just a few yards. A sign would have been really useful. Also the Internet connection was not good - you need to be prepared not to communicate much with the outside world.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay could hardly have been better! Hosts, lovely Silvia and Gerard, were super friendly, helpful and nice. The house is beautiful, warmly decorated and gives a luxury feel. It is located in charming village of Corça, which although very quiet, offers couple of impressive dinner options and lots of possibilities to explore medieval villages and beaches nearby.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is typically Spanish in a beautiful brick building. It is really clean and the room was large and comfortable. The owners couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful especially as our plane was late in landing and we didn't arrive until after 1.00am. Highly recommend.
Cons: It wasn't that we didn't like but the bathroom is across from the room. Fortunately they provided dressing gowns. The bathroom was large and very clean with everything provided that you needed and it was private - you didn't share with other guests.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is a traditional Spanish house with a stylish twist, very tastefully decorated, with lots of personal touch from the owner. Leo was a superb host, very helpful. Breakfast was great, both indoors and outdoors options to eat breakfast, with lovely views from the top floor. The veranda near our room was a lovely romantic hideaway. The whole atmosphere was so relaxing, comfortable and full of character. The house is located in a quiet area yet easy walking to a nearby restaurant which was also great.
Cons: Nothing really. If I could change one thing it would be a little more light in the room we stayed in ( basement) but we selected this room from 2 options given so not complaining.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fabulous. Love the bread and coffee, and everything else. Room was exceptional, decoration was very interesting. Especially enjoying the contemporary music that was played from the CD throughout breakfast. PRIMA!!
Cons: The heater did not function properly, but Leo brought a portable Heater, so that we could sleep peacefully.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about our stay at Casa Matilda. We arrived planning to stay for one night, but we asked to extend our stay 5 minutes into it after being stunned by the charm and comfort of the 15th century house. Breakfast was substantial, charming, and delicious. Corca itself was very pleasant.
Cons: The location is remote in its way---not surrounded by flashy attractions, but it is immersed in the daily charms of life in this area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was flawless. The owner is so friendly and helpful, room clean and amazing to sleep in.We has a feeling that the night lasted long since we had such a good and relaxed sleep. Beds and sheets had such a nice smell. Breakfast served fresh on top of the roof..peaceful area with amazingly fresh air..such a charming place. We already dream of coming back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Enjoy the gorgeous and very generous breakfast (coffee, scrambled eggs, fresh orange juice, fresh fruit, lovely bread from the village, cakes, etc.) in one of its rooftop terraces, there are two -with the view of the old church and the adorable surroundings- or in the beautifully decorated living room. Our room had as well a private terrace we really enjoyed. The house is well decorated and cosy. Leo, the owner, is kind and willing to make you feel confortable. Parking is extremely easy, literally two minutes walking distance from the house. From Corça you can easily visit several interesting places in the area (Peratallada, Begur, Tamariu, etc). Great place to stay!
Cons: That we would have had longer holidays to stay in the Empordá :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location. The property feels like home and the spacious apartment perfect.

Pros: A family run hotel. Totally charming and peaceful. You feel as if you are staying at a friends home. We stayed in one of the three hotel garden bedrooms. Very comfortable beds, bedding and towels. Perfect continental breakfast in a lovely setting. There are beautiful simple artisan artistic touches all around the property. The hotel does not serve evening meals but we could recommend the hotel La Place which a short walk away for an evening meal (which comes with its of extras... canapés, amuse bouche & petit fours) or if you prefer something simpler (& cheaper) there is a tapas bar almost next door. There are also very nice places to eat in neighbouring villages. A wonderful location to charge the batteries.

Pros: The space is beautifully appointed and the owners super helpful. This is a delightful base to explore the area or just relax in the sun.
Cons: Better coffee maker in the guest houses :)
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel is lovely and the room was comfortable. This is a relaxed and friendly hotel where help is available when you need it but is unobtrusive. The breakfast was amazing!
Cons: There is an honesty bar, which is very nice but the charges (no price list supplied other than for bottles of wine) were at commercial bar prices and we found that very disappointing - we left feeling a bit "ripped off" to be frank
7.5 Good
Cons: I would had liked a confortable area in the main building to be sitting reading
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Location in a very small medieval town was great. Very pleasant to have a stroll in the morning or after dinner. Staff was very welcoming and the couple that runs it make it even more special. They were always ready to give tips on what to do and what places to visit. We stayed in the Lavanda room which was great and all rooms seem to be nice. We loved to rent a bike and do the suggest tour. And relaxing at the pool afterwards was perfect.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Superb location and outlook. Room good size. Comfy large bed. Owners were helpful, booking taxi etc.
Cons: Paid extra for ground floor room with private terrace, but as no one else staying we could not access main house lounge or bar. No information on local attractions etc in room. Only one person spoke English (advertised) so breakfast requests a bit difficult.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Atmosphere, breakfast, staff, cleanliness
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location with great view and outdoor pool,Great Spanish breakfast!. The family hosted us were absolutely incredible. Very personal service and warm hospitality. First time experiencing such treatment, highly recommended if you are near Girona.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely, tranquil place with beautiful, huge, well-kept gardens. Owners were very helpful and generous with breakfasts. Felt like the real rural Catalonia, away from the busy coastal towns. Stayed in room with lovely terrace. Great to relax by the pool.
Cons: A bit of a drive to restaurants but that's what you'd expect in the countryside so no complaints! Nearby Monells is a lovely old village with decent food.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfort, quietness, wide open space, not a lot of rooms, etc
Cons: We would have welcome cocktails service at the bar, so that the pool and facilities could have been enjoyed the most.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We can't recommend this property highly enough. It was truly exceptional. Beautifully maintained and fantastically located, the accommodation was first class. The owners, Albert and Natalie, made us feel extremely welcome, as did everyone who works there.

Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting, great charming location, hosts, and the little village. It was magical
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation and setting was sublime. At first glance, it's understated, but then, just wow! An oasis, with fantastic staff, luxury accommodation and delightful surrounds... adults only, pet friendly, what's not to love? If you are looking for a spacious, individual accommodation that is very comfortable and superb food, this is it.
Cons: Only thing is that the room was too hot at the start. Easily remedied but uneccessary.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a unique place! Ivan is an exceptional host and the property is an oasis. It is quite magical to step out the door of the property into the teensy village it abuts. The breakfast that was included was excellent. Great variety and quality.
Cons: Probably could use a bit more lighting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beauty and remoteness of this medieval village! The accommodations and service were total perfection! I wish we stayed for several days to just relax, enjoy the quiet and massages. Also definitely follow the hotels driving instructions they provide and not your GPS. We almost got stuck in a narrow passage that was built hundreds of years before cars where part of this world!
10.0 Excellent
Cons: my room was very dark brown. not at all appealing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: little dog made to feel very welcome even the restaurant was not open they organised a dog friendly restaurant nearby
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is very beautiful, though there's a mixture of design objects that, in the end, didn't had a great outcome (that's a hard thing to do - combine things from diverse places and balance everything - and can get not such great a many results). The staff was scarce, and the service could be better. The restaurant serves great food, and breakfast is also very good.
Cons: The service could be better if they had some more people on the staff, the hotel could get a better ambiance should the staff be more friendly, and the decoration could be much more beautiful if the designers stick to the local/catalonian objects - which are rich in culture, history and romantic aura.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location so close to airport and the host picked us up for a nominal fee. It made such a refreshing change from staying at an airport hotel. The host couldn't have made us feel more welcome. We had a swim on arrival in their beautiful pool, you feel you are a million miles from anything but actually only 10 minutes from the airport, where we picked up our rental car the next day after a very tasty, abundant breakfast. We went to the nearby village for dinner but there is an honesty fridge, with food to purchase and a kitchen for cooking if you don't feel like driving. Great find.
Cons: nothing

Swimming, tennis, ping pong, etc. Everything felt so personal and great. I hope that we can visit again! Pictures don’t do it justice!

Pros: Nice decor and quiet. Pretty outside area!!
Cons: They didn’t have any non dairy options at breakfast, which really surprised me. The other thing is that it’s quite close to a busy road...would prefer further into the countryside

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The place is very peaceful and the service was great
Cons: The temperature control of the shower at the room did not function properly
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It is a small hotel with captivation and the personnel is very polite and professional
Cons: The approved price (180 €) it went down the day after having overcome the time of cancellation of the reservation. If it had waited to the last week it would have cost 110 to me € it does not seem to me to be correct. I felt defrauded!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A most perfect delight. Romantic,Charming, tranquil, calm. A six star hotel in a beautiful setting with a delightful heated pool. Breakfast was splendid, with such a choice and the best coffee I have ever had in a hotel. The place is chic and designer quality. The owners have paid such attention in every detail. The bed and bedding were such wonderful quality. The staff a joy . So helpful, professional and friendly. Thank you so very much. We will be back next year.
Cons: Could not fault anything
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building, great room that smelled amazing, comfy bed, very nice pool, good breakfast, nice grounds.
Cons: The food on offer for dinner is of a really poor quality (microwave meal, packets straight from the supermarket). This might have been fine if we were told it would be like this and if the price of the food reflected its quality, but instead it was a very disappointing start to our stay there. This is something I think the hotel should seriously consider and review - don't offer food if it isn't up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. However, the local restaurants they recommend are excellent (10 mins drive away). Although the grounds of the hotel are beautiful, there is nowhere nice to go to within walking distance - it is located just beyond an industrial estate (but you wouldn't know it when you are at the hotel).

Pros: The food was delicious. The swimming pool was wonderful. the breakfast was delicious.
Cons: Leaving.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel's architecture is beautiful; a mixture of a structure from middle ages combined with modern elements like steel and glass. Breakfast was amazing! Couldn't be better. With almost 10 kinds of cheese! Also the rooms are charming, with large beds and lots of natural light.
Cons: There was a mistake in the final bill but it was fixed quickly.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful place that takes guests seriously. From the architecture respectful of the amazing medieval village but also quite contemporary in the rooms, to the amazingly tasteful interior decoration of quirky antiques and simple design furniture, the whole impression is bright and breezy. Wonderful and cozy little library spaces that just makes you feel happy, generous bright terraces with amazing views straight into the forest covered hills of the Gavarres (ah ! watching the sun going down while dozing on a lounger...) Little touches like the drinks in the minibar being normally priced (1.80 Euros for a beer) instead of the outrageous usual mark up tell a lot about the Plaça !
Cons: The expensive restaurant has an amazing menu, but the execution of the dishes is very sloppy and definitely not worth the money (the restaurant is under a different ownership) It's a real shame as the whole place is a dream
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beatiful rustic and cosy hotel in a little medieval town, gourmet restaurant and breakfast buffet, with definitely big rooms and really well taken care of :)!
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was in the most beautiful setting; the hotel , restaurant and room were gorgeous. The food at the restaurant wAs delicious and on the second night, we only wanted a light supper and the chef was very accommodating and made us what we wanted to eat.
Cons: The very little village was closed the weekend we arrived; it turned out it was a holiday. We arrived around 5pm and there was no place to get something light to eat. Also we heard the are was famous for. Ceramics and there was no plAce to shop.
7.0 Good
Pros: The restaurant is absolutely great!!!!
Cons: The rooms are rather small. Very noisy if the windows are looking on the street (the street is narrow, all the sounds go up into the hotel windows). The swimming pool is more a part of the garden design than a place go swim
10.0 Excellent
Pros: La Placa is a gem of a place to stay, in a medieval village in the heart of the Emporda/Girona provinces. Michelin rated restaurant serves lunch and dinner daily, locally sourced (including from a garden on the premises). Warm and helpful staff. The family also owns a charming tapas bar in town. Fabulous library with coffee table books about the area. We highly recommend!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Proprietor (Jaume) and his staff were very kind and helpful booking us an alternative return flight from Girona, thus avoiding the Barcelona Airport strike.
Cons: No air conditioning in our bedroom ( though we could have changed for our second night)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely boutique hotel in little town of Madremanya. Nicely decorated bedroom and bathroom. Dinner was delicious.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We didn't have breakfast - everyday we wanted to to do so many things (Girona and the Pirineus are so beautiful, one don't want to miss a thing) we we're not able to taste it. The location, preservation of the place (a farm house from the 13th-14th century), hospitality of the owner and her "sidekick" (her nephew - Elvira), and the astonishing library. The fact that several great artists (Günther Grass spent a month in there - and this is just an example) stayed there is not a "bad" thing. A great place to stay and a terrific experience.
Cons: Nothing at all!

Great attention to every detail is given and you really feel at home here. Delicious and abundant breakfast with everything you could want, even with kind consideration to allergies/vegans etc with plantmilk, soya products and more. Excellent. Great pool area in a big garden, with plenty of places to relax. Hope to visit again.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Run by a lovely family. The house is very peaceful. Rural, but a close drive to local towns. Great breakfast and coffee.
Cons: We got lost trying to find the house. When you are trying to find it, do not drive into Pera. Go just about a half km north of the road that turns into Pera and you will see a small sign for Mas Duran and a dirt road entrance.
6.8 Good
Pros: good breakfast, perfect place for kids with lots of toys, playground, pool etc. very relaxed family atmosphere and great to relax and unwind.
Cons: overall cleanliness is a problem, especially in the kitchen, some of the dishes/spoons were not clean, downstairs bathroom (especially towel) and pool (murky water, it needs a proper clean-up). and to be honest, the personal hygiene of the staff is the biggest issue here - quite smelly and it makes people uncomfortable. the rooms were very clean though. no air-con but fans available.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice Breakfast, lots of games for Kids, friendly hosts, the property itself, all very clean, pool small but totally sufficient for the kids
Cons: Nearer to a busy road than you would expect if you read the other reviews.

Pros: Excellent, courteous hosts - could not do enough to ensure an enjoyable stay. Ignatio is an excellent cook.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff super kind and very helpful. Huge and comfortable room with amazing countryside view, bathroom with bathtub and also with great view.
Cons: We experienced a few setbacks, but maybe these setbacks are likely to occur in all bed&breakfast accomodations: wi-fi went down for a couple of times, had to climb two flights of stairs to get to the room, no telephone in the room to ask for help when needed. Also, there were too many flies at the property and they got into our room very often.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, peaceful place. Rooms magnificent. Staff very nice and extremely helpful. Ideal for couples. Lounged in shaded hammock and by the pool. Not crowded. Magnificent views.
Cons: Nothing

Hotel Restaurant El Pati - Forallac - Bedroom

9.2 Excellent (70 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was adorable, with quirky decorations everywhere from dolls to bird cages, to odd knick knacks. Everywhere you go, there are wonderful things to look at. You walk in just past the entrance into the most beautiful patio with a canopy of trees, and potted plants and flowers everywhere. Our room was huge with a sitting area, separate bathroom and sleeping areas. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast was amazing with fresh squeeze OJ, coffee, fruit and a wooden platter with croissants and baguettes with different meats. It was such a special place and the matron was helpful and nice. We did not dine there but instead found a small tapas place that was delicious and so inexpensive. Peratallada was a wonderful place to take side trips in the area. The town itself is super small and easily walkable in an hour! I would absolutely recommend this place for its charm, beauty and uniqueness. No cars in the town, so you park in one of the lots adjacent to the town and El Pati gives you a parking pass.
Cons: It was all great.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, beautifully appointed room and gardens.
Cons: Unfriendly staff.

Pros: This hotel is great value for money. Three couples stayed here while attending a wedding and were all very happy with the hotel. The Hotel is central, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Also we had a large balcony off our room with a great view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great morning coffees!
Cons: There were no hair dryers in the room, but one was the available from the front desk. It was fine, but it would have been better to have one in the room.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: We really liked the cosy and familiar atmosphere. An absolute charming and special place in the middle of a rural landscape. We had spectacular dinner together with other guests in the evening, all sitting on a long table. The hosts really cared about our wellbeing. Breakfast in the morning consisted of many self made products like bread, croissants, jam, coffee etc.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Spacious and comfy rooms, great dinner option available. Nice rustic feel to the place
Cons: Breakfast could have been available slightly earlier. Fridge had tripped off so wasn't cold when we arrived.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great hosts & it was really lovely to have breakfast with the other guests at the large dining table. Nice and quiet location, it would be best to have a car here as it's a longish stroll to the nearest town but a very short drive.
Cons: Nothing, I was really pleasantly surprised.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The breakfast was good.
Cons: The whole place smelled bad inside and out. The shower was a shower tray surrounded by a curtain. Dogs barking kept us awake all night.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: the situation, the hosts and the interaction with other guests. The lack of formality and "chill out" feel

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was stunning. The property was stunning. My dog was very welcome which made me feel so relieved and happy especially after a long day driving from Paris. Within minutes of arriving I was in holiday mode!
Cons: Air-conditioning would've been a nice option, but you're in the mountains and despite me staying during the hottest time of year, having windows and balcony door open during the night was actually wonderful and so much heathier breathing in all that fresh mountain air instead of air-conditioning.
7.5 Good
Pros: very charming and helpful staff. Lovely location not far from the airport and yet so peaceful and in lovely grounds.Could
Cons: Could not access the internet. Walk in shower slow to empty and overflowed into the bathroom. Wash hand basin had no plug...is this normal in Spain? We had a salad starter each as part of our evening meal. 8.95 euros each. This was just a lot of lettuce leaves and tomatoes from the garden ( frankly could have bought it for 50p) Really overpriced and poor.To have a gin and tonic is too expensive at 8.95 euros. This is a place with great potential but needs attention to detail and pricing is all wrong. I don't like being negative as the staff are so nice but sorry if I came back I would expect the room to be better, have wifi and I would eat elsewhere. Was nice however having the meal outside in lovely surroundings
10.0 Excellent

Cons: WiFi was intermittent
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The common spaces and the breakfast were great. Also the owner Eric.
Cons: I would have liked to have dinner in the hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really appreciated warm welcome & attention from the host during our stay. The mansion is really a remarkable piece of Renaissance very carefully modernised to incorporate nowadays conveniences. It was very quiet & we had wonderful view from our windows any time of the day. There is a medieval church just 5 min walking in the village as well as very cozy bistro with caring staff (even they don't speak anything but Catalan) & nice simple food. Also, we got rather valuable advice on the sightseeing & practical nuances for the area. One more thing, the host speaks both French & English - that really helps in the Spanish countryside for an international traveler ;-)
Cons: we would prefer to stay longer!!!

Quiet and free from traffic noise, the hotel is an oasis of calm. Staff friendly and helpful, Lucas was great and knowledgeable for recommending restaurants, Botic and Terra in the Alabriga Hotel.
Cons: Nothing to mention

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, accommodating and helpful staff, food was really great and the rooms and swimming pools exceeded our expectations. We loved it.
Cons: There was a wedding at the hotel when we arrived, so lots of people around and limited where we could go. Also a shame we weren’t able to sit and have drinks after dinner.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and easy with check in.
Cons: It would have been nice to have AC or fan in the room. It was quite warm in the daytime up in the tower.
6.3 Good
Pros: always de pool. And to be able to find a bottle of water to refresh you. Point for you.
Cons: i went for my wife's anniversary, but there was no allusion or detail about it. A pity
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Should have larger variety of fruit...especially this time of year.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Just the location and the facilities because the staff and also the service were poor.
Cons: Staff and service... terribly bad.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb room/view/bathroom
Cons: Breakfast; no fresh orange juice, coffee very poor.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Pool and restaurant/bar are spectacular. Amazing views of the valley and they provide service to the pool or the outdoor seating area. We stayed in the Tower room (no elevator access), but we are fit so didn't mind the walk-up.
Cons: The views from the tower can't be beat. However, the air conditioning was not working properly. It barely cooled the room, even though we kept the shades closed to try and keep the room as cool as possible. They need to replace the air conditioning unit, or put a stronger one - especially since this room is exposed to so much sun. This will make it more pleasurable for guests in the future. If you can't tolerate heat (especially at night), don't stay in this room in the summer (unless they fix the A/C).
