Pros: New, clean, really nice staff. Great supermarket right across the street. Easy relaxing walk into Santiago the next morning.
Cons: While i loved having a bunk right by a window some kind of covering to block street light at night would be good.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice big bunks. Lots of shower. Cosy area with couch and tv. Kitchen good and a snack automat.. Wash and dryer.. nice staff.. everything good!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I love this place. It is modern, big bedrooms, a large livingroom to meet other people, a very nice gentleman who runs the albergue. I was welcomed by a very nice volunteer Helga from Austria/Australia. It was a warm welcome which I needed since it was bad weather and I was wet and cold. She gave me just what I needed. Thank you again, Helga, from Ellen from Holland. The hostel is beautifully designed.
Cons: The water in the showers was not very hot, which I could have used since I was very cold. Everything else is perfect! It is only 7 kilometers to Santiago, so this is a great stop to arrive early in Santiago!

Pros: The gardens and fruit groves provided an Eden-like atmosphere. The house is impeccably decorated and its owners as gracious as they come. 9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hostal. Clean and comfortable. Very nice bathroom. It’s evident that the owner takes a lot of care and pride in her facility. She was friendly and made us feel welcome.
Cons: The weather was bad and the WiFi was not working. She was unsuccessful in getting that resolved, but was able to get her own internet connection working. We don’t speak Spanish so not having WIFI and no TV made for a long night because, due to the weather, going out wasn’t an option. This property is off The Way so it was a little bit of a walk to find a cafe-bar.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Stayed here while walking the Camino de Santiago, in a private room. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and nicely decorated and bathroom was excellent.
Cons: You have to walk through most of the town to find the property, which is set back several blocks from the main streets and the Camino path. No retail or restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Pros: Beautiful old winery converted to lodgings in the Spanish style. Large grounds filled with fruit trees and vines. Just lovely! Plus a sumptuous breakfast spread with fresh-squeezed orange juice, jamon y queso, freshly fried egg, cake, fruit and yogurt, coffee&tea. Gracias Wilmer for a great stay!
Cons: Wish we had stayed longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is beautiful and marvellous, surrounded by nature and a very calm village. Perfect place to stay near Santiago de Compostela.
Cons: They gave us a room which was too close to the main staircase and hallway and the main wall of the room was of thin wood allowing it to pass all the sound and noise of the hallway making us impossible to sleep when people passed by at early morning and late night, but the rest was very pleasant and wonderful. If we were to go again we will ask for another room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A really beautiful place, with all comfort. The breakfast is a special moment!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Santiago was fully booked (after our Camino walk) so we had to go 7 to 8km out of town but what a blessing it was. The quietness and beautiful grounds. The hosts were just lovely. The rooms for us were perfect and spotless. Breakfast in the morning was divine (6 euros pp). Even though we couldn’t speak Spanish we were able to communicate just fine (thanks google translate and to our friend
Cons: It’s not so much what we didn’t like - just need to be aware they do not do dinners. We had to taxi everywhere so it was an extra cost to us to get dinner. If you have a car that’s no problem. We were recommended a fabulous local restaurant- that was 10/10. FYI taxi to Santiago cost anything from 12 to 18 euro depending if there was a surcharge.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Character of the house. Location Cleanliness
Cons: There was a bit of damp smell. Some radiators look like needed painting, rusty marks. There was need of tyding up a bit more garden area.

Pros: Just on the way of Camino Inglés, very good location, staff is welcoming, the whole space is just comfy. The bed! I slept like a dead. Facilities are great and they have stuff you can drink and eat for the whole day.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Manuel the proprietor was welcoming, attentive, amusing, speaks perfect English. Our room at the top of the house was huge, comfortable, with lovely views over the surrounding vineyards. The food was excellent, his wines too (we came away with a box of the bodega's speciality Albarino), and the whole place very good value.
Cons: Nothing to complain about!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The innkeeper was very knowledgable and was happy to share about his winery and the surrounding area. The rooms were wonderful. We had dinner one night there too which was tasty and a good value. Paying the extra 10 euros for the upgraded room was worth it.
Cons: We would have liked to have a fridge and coffee in the room. There was no air conditioning so on a hot day, it might be a little warm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a gorgeous property! The proprietor was funny and made us feel welcome. The food and wine were very good. The rooms were very nice and the vineyards on the grounds were beautiful.
Cons: The WiFi was weak and inconsistent.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and very informative about the history of the hotel we stayed at. The food was wonderful the wine was excellent and we were well taken care of!
7.9 Good
Pros: The house is beautifully renovated. Great views. Very serene and peaceful. Nice breakfast!
Cons: The owner didn’t seem to be friendly. He came across as very suspicious and anxious. We had a feeling we were constantly being watched. Unfortunately it ruined an overall great impression of the mansion.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house itself was beautiful and surrounded by vineyards all around. The rooms were huge and comfortable. Perfect temperature and although there’s no air con, there is no need. The breakfast included was a delicious spread and the night we ate there, the food was one of the best meals we had on our holiday. The man in charge gave us a personal tour and history lesson of the house and the wine he prepared for us was so good that we brought 3 bottles back home with us! Would definitely go back and this time stay more than just 2 nights.
Cons: Just to mention one thing, the WiFi is very slow but it’s so nice and peaceful and you spend so much time outside, that there is no need for any.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic breakfast, the best all week. Dinner was delicious. Very knowledgeable and informative host. Beautiful location. Very comfortable beds.

Pros: The room was very spacious. The bathroom luxurious and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good. We were quite satisfied staying there.
Cons: I only missed a coffee or tea in the evening but maybe if I asked, it would have been available.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owner who spoke excellent English. Peaceful location in the countryside. Very clean and one of the better continental breakfasts, incl. fresh fruit. Owner even teed up one of the local bars for us to watch the French Open Womens final.
Cons: Signposting and address description made it tricky to find initially.
6.9 Good
Pros: The room had very large windows with lovely views and was within walking distance of good restaurants. The coffee in the morning was nice and the staff were friendly.
Cons: The room had a bath with a very large shower over it but it was very difficult to get into and could cause some travellers problems. The building and surrounding gardens were in need of some attention which was a shame because it has the potential of being a great retreat as it offered a well being area which seemed to be the owners main concern and the bed and breakfast a side line. The breakfast was simple, offering prepackaged foods.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We only had a very short stay so didn’t use the facilities
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was spotless and very comfortable. The man at reception was there to answer all our questions and gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner. Breakfast was great.

6.3 Good
Pros: A newly stone built hotel full of character with friendly staff and good food.
Cons: Somewhat difficult access for car travellers although the private garage was excellent. The hotel is on the pilgrim route and, therefore , can be very busy and noisy. The immediate surroundings are not that inspiring.
5.0 Okay
Pros: We booked a twin room and the booking went to the hotel as a double room. No help was given to us by the receptionist who seemed rather annoyed at our dismay.
Cons: The receptionist was very unhelpful however all other staff were brilliant. There were no bicycles available although advertised. The breakfast was very scant and no help was proffered to assist us in our choices.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room, lovely grounds and pool. Great breakfast. It is a great place which is not being used to its optimum and maybe why there were only 3 other rooms occupied the night we were there.
Cons: The staff seemed to treat this as their own home and not a hotel which made us feel uncomfortable. Charging 3 euros for a beer that you can buy for 4.5 euros for 6 at the supermarket is seriously excessive and much more than anywhere else we encountered in Spain or Portugal. Both courses of food we ordered were also given at the same time which was bizarre.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dinner was delicious. The place is gorgeous. Hosts picked us up from town, right on the Camino trail.
Cons: All great.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is spacious. bathroom facilities is good because the water is strong and warm Very comfortable
Cons: No
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Smack on the Camino Ingles, so very convenient. Great dinner but for me it opens too late for breakfast (not their fault, it’s a tradition over there). Very clean and a good deal. There is a cafe’ restaurant on the ground floor so there is always plenty of drinks and food (try the sangria...). Very convenient laundry possibility. Great commons.
Cons: Staff is... let’s say... harsh but to the point of almost being funny. The shared room was stuffy as the place is on a busy street and the windows keep the noise out but that means no air coming in. The Albergue has s restaurant on the ground floor so the noise is heard until very late. But this is not a problem for those who sleep very soundly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and rooms in good condition. Staff busy but doing their job ok
Cons: Found the bathtub a bit deep so have to be super careful when taking a shower in case of a fall. Need a rubberized mat tonprevent slips and falls. This is the only concern I had

Pros: Although this property is just off the Camino, it was a great find for us. The rooms were huge, very clean and comfortable. The staff were so friendly and tolerant of our lack of Spanish. The restaurant food was very tasty and obviously home cooked. It was worth the slight deviation.
Cons: Perfect.
7.9 Good
Pros: The owner was very nice
Cons: Lots of men hanging around that started at us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Simple, clean and comfortable room and the staff are amazing! we arrived in the pouring rain and were made very welcome. The beds are comfy and there are heaters and a bath! We had a lovely meal in the restaurant and very nice coffee. Less than 400m off the Camino, so it's a lovely place to pause before Santiago.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This simple but very good pension is easy to access from the Camino de Santiago Portugese Coastal route. Friendly welcome. Spacious, comfortable room with double bed and sofa. Very clean. The room was heated! Many along the way are not and remain damp and cold in October. Be sure to have dinner here- great meal!
Cons: If wifi is really important to you, the room connection is weak (but restaurant is good).

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff went out of their way to be helpful and assure that everything was just right. They really went the extra mile.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great garden/patio, spacious rooms
Cons: Mattress a little uncomfortable.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nice bathroom. Room had nice appearance.
Cons: I and my wife stayed in a private room with twin beds. Both of us were awakened in the middle of the night after being severely bitten by bedbugs. We disassembled the bedding and removed over a dozen bedbugs each. Bedbug fecal material on bedding and mattresses indicated they are not often checked. I expect better hygiene when paying for a private room.
