Kind and friendly host, it was a warm place
The owners were really kind and willing to help. It was difficult because they did not speak English, lady not at all. But she did not bother calling her daughter to speak over the phone and translate. The owner was so helpful that he even offered lift to the bus station on departure.
The place is remote, difficult to find even when you are in front of the house (the ring bell did not work) but the most concerning for me as a female solo traveler was that I did not feel safe so I was returning before the sunset. Pt Montt is not an amazing place itself but the area where this place is a quite dodgy one. Besides that, not spotlessly clean but bearable and the walls are so thin that you could hear other peoples breathing even during the day.
Lovely owner fed us breakfast upon arrival in the morning and even gave us our room early. She is very generous and kind. No English spoken here but if we, with our little Spanish could not communicate, she would call her daughter who is an English teacher to help out. Sweet neighborhood place near the waterfront and 15 minute walk to the city center and reataurants. A small tienda is right across the street.
Better signage would make it easier to find!
Delightful b&b. Chelita is wonderful. Nice breakfast.
Challenge to find and gain entry initially.
