Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Located 5 minutes from main station, clean and cosy. The bathroom is big and clean. There is air conditioning and alarm clock. Also on weekends there is a churroz place opened just next door
Cons: The shower cabin is a bit small :) or maybe I am too big. Could be a bit noisy at night. Not everyone in staff speaks English.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds and rooms were perfectly adequate but there were few facilities. The staff were friendly and the placecwas clean.
Cons: The town has remarkably few restaurants.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff, he even helped me when parking my car :) clean beds and bathrooms. Very spacious bathroom. Value for money.
Cons: Hotel is a bit old; it definitely needs renovation; e.g. use of quilts instead of blankets, renewal of beds, etc.

Cons: We did not have any problem with the hostal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic night sleep on a very big and comfortable bed. The room was big, clean and had a patio outside. Location is perfect and the staff extra helpful. This is going to be my place to be from now on. The breakfast at the caffe underneath was nice too.
4.5 Okay
Cons: Some of the staffs may have some problem in their life and for that reason that treated us very poorly. But some of they staff was very nice and helpful.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and the staff were very helpful! Rooms were well equipped too.
Cons: A stay in Cadiz instead of San Fernando would have been better in terms of location
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was a good size and the location is very convenient. A large bed is always welcome. The small balcony, although shared, is a nice addition. My room was basic but comfortable.
Cons: Like many hotels in Spain, they use cleaning liquids that have a very strong smell. It's a cultural thing. Unless the odor burns the hairs in your nose, it can´t be good. The result is that you enter a room and almost need oxygen in order to breath. It took me hours to air out the room so that my eyes would stop watering. There are perfumed cleaning products available that don't make the room smell so strongly of bleach. Unfortunately, they don't consider them effective. They need to think more about the comfort of the guests. The bed was large and quite comfortable but it was not fixed and would move several feet every time you got in or out. Annoying! The lights in the hallways and common areas were not triggered by movement. It was very dark. Not very safe and I think female guests traveling alone would find it unnerving. You needed to locate the switch, sometimes yards away, in order to turn on the light. A motion sensor, especially in very dark hallways and in stairwells would be much better.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good Hostal in San Fernando, about 20 minutes from the Centre of Cadiz. Clean, close to the beach, friendly staff and good beds. Also San Fernando is a nice place, good restaurants and comparable in price end cheaper than in Cadiz.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Very close to Cadiz, ideally for a short stay. 2 supermarkets very close to the hotel. small restaurant with tapas and beer at ground floor.
Cons: no complains
8.8 Excellent

9.3 Excellent
Pros: We were in Salymar from 7-11 th of February 2019 ))) The location is super , very comfortable and in the old center )) Very pleasant and helpful receptionists , they helped us to check in extremely quickly at late night and also helped us to solve our little problems !! Breakfast was AMAZING !!! Everything is soooooo fresh and delicious, I totally recommend !!! ( fruits , pastry ... awesome)!!!
Cons: It will be better for the cleaning ladies to clean the floor in rooms more often , because it’s not comfort to look at some lay of dust after three days of living in room. Also , a little bit of discomfort makes a transparent bathroom...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff really attentive and helpful. Clean & comfortable rooms.
10.0 Excellent

Gran Hotel Ciudad del Sur - Puerto Real - Building
5
7.8 Good (617 reviews)
Overview Reviews

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good quality for the price Good parking place Good personnel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are friendly, and the service in the restaurant/cafe was great. The place is big but pretty empty. I guess it caters to the local shipyard & refit crews but I pretty much had it to myself. Cafe isn't elaborate but the food was good and the lady serving was quick. As I say, big rooms, comfy bed, perhaps could have done with bigger pillows, than those long thin things that seem to be the choice in a lot of places.
Cons: Very noisy during the day. Furniture moving, scraping along floor. A one-off I'm sure. Bathroom was huge, so why is the toilet behind the door? More to do with the architect than the hotel. If you're looking to go out, you'll need wheels, as it's pretty remote. Could have been a great view but I had an inside room with a view of a storeroom window, 2m away.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms would make our stay nicer.
4.3 Okay
Pros: the receptionist was outstanding.
Cons: the hotel is listed as a 4 star however, i've seen 2 stars with better service. i went to eat and ordered a salmon sandwich. the waiter gave me canned tuna and when i told him it wasn't salmon, he got defensive. any person can tell the difference between salmon and canned tuna. if i worked at the restaurant, i would be ashamed to acknowledge it. i also ordered secreto and was given lomo instead. it looked like a child cut the meat. no way should a four star hotel allow service like that. the shower had a problem with draining the water. this is by far the worst 4 star hotel i've visited in my 35 plus years of traveling.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great and spacious room with small fridge. Pool was welcome for the extreme high temperatures. It is close to Cadiz and easy to access from main roads.
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff, breakfast, parking and accessibility
Cons: No restaurants/bars around to go walking, for everything need a car
7.0 Good
Pros: A lots of hotel customization details (it's a cute touch), and the rooms have a great area. The pool and sports area is fabulous (although there is only one toilet for such a large area...)
Cons: The hotel deserved to have a nicer space dedicated to meals. Although very clean, the hotel already lacks an aesthetic update (it's a bit frozen in time...)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect for visiting Seville. Easy access to tourist sites, restaurants, and shops. Extremely helpful staff. Breakfast buffet is complete with hot and cold servings. The coffee was some of the best I've had in Spain.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location, breakfast and rooms very clean.

7.6 Good (507 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hospedería IslaSol in San Fernando, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Playa de la Victoria and Fragua Camarón de la Isla. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
6.3 Good
Pros: Quite big place, option of parking in front of accommodation. Nice bathroom.
Cons: Host did not speak any English (Google Translate was helpful). VERY narrow street for parking in case you arrive by car. Kitchen window in the bottom floor directly to the street without any shades. Poor selection of accessories. Additional sofa bad was far from comfortable. This place could be so much cosy with mot much of an input.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very decent hostel. Great price, clean and actually looked pretty cool. Friendly staff, the girl who checked me in didn't speak English very well but we figured it all out and had a great laugh. Nice girl. Room itself was tiny but perfect for me. Wifi was good and there was some closet I could use as a desk to do some work on my laptop. It's pretty much in the city center so it's only a one minute walk to the actual shops and historic locations.
Cons: You need to have a bit of luck with parking. If you do find a spot, make sure you fold your mirrors in since the streets are quite narrow.
6.3 Good
Pros: normal level, but the location is good, luckily have a place to park the car, but hard to put it in the perfect position. Also, the passed by cars may hurt your side mirrors, because of the narrow street.
Cons: the door is too thin...
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: It was really dirty apartment, with roaches, toilet window was missing, dirty beds and sheets!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean bathroom to use and you have a little sink in your room itself if the bathroom is taken.
Cons: Not so easy to use the bathroom when you have to share with the whole floor. Little noisy as we stayed on the first floor. In the street of the hostel there was very narrow street for your car to be parked.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and comfortable place to stay, worth the value for money. Great sofa, sadly not fully used. We stayed in a very nice apartment, with a huge kitchen, where you can prepare everything, if in a long stay.
Cons: Just one window at the bathroom, unable to close it totally, with a "view" to the kitchen. Both the window and the leaving room needed a better cleaning.
7.0 Good
Pros: Simple and comfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds, nice clean outside pool are area, very helpful staff, short taxi to barbate and other beaches
Cons: Looking forward to more food options on our next stay. A bus service to Barbate would be good but obviously not the hotels responsibility.
6.8 Good
Pros: Proximity to centre
Cons: Very noisy at night till early hours

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Big room, clean, quiet area on the edge of the city, parking lot in front of the hotel, not far from Cadiz, just next to highway exit. Helpful personell.
Cons: No automatic light on the corridor, older furniture, odour of cigarette smoke in the room. A bit more expensive, maybe because of the spring fair that was happening nearby.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was certainly good value for money. Very helpful and friendly good English speaking young man on reception whose name we forgot to ask.
Cons: The air conditioning. We couldn’t fathom it out. A little too much one way and it went cold. The fan was also somewhat noisier than in our previous hotels.
7.5 Good
Pros: Room was very clean, bathroom had a tub and not just a shower, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Appreciated the free parking.
Cons: We rented a room for 2 adults and a teen, so we were charged 18 EUR for an extra bed, which they just put between the other beds and the wall. The room was so small with the beds, we couldn't even walk around them. The room we had was suitable for no more than 2 adults. We wouldn't have minded if the price were lower.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very good.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great situation, clean, comfortable room. No noise, good breakfast. Close to town. Would stay again

Pros: Family owned and staffed; well maintained property; comfortable, clean and quiet room and bath; comfortable beds; free and on-premise parking; excellent restaurant in house (large menu); sumptuous breakfast (reasonably priced and served early); close proximity to highways; short distance from Cadiz and its beaches.
Cons: Not one thing!
4.3 Okay
Pros: Late check in
Cons: Room was without hairdryer so that i couldn’t wash my hair. All taps were broken or not stable fixed in the bathroom and the holder was damged so that tou need to gold the shower head in your hands. Bed sheets are ugly and the room is super cold. Ventilation is very loud.

Pros: Very centric. Above shopping center and near train station.

Pros: The pool staff
Cons: The place needs better maintenance
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was comfy and well situated Nice big terrace and spacious rooms. Pool area and shopping centre great
Cons: Everything was a bit old and needs renovating a bit shabby. The mattresses in the downstairs room were extremely hard and lumpy. Otherwise good
7.5 Good
Pros: Basic apartment, conveniently located over a large shopping mall with a carrefour and lots of other smaller shops. 5 minutes walk to the train station. We were in Spain for the Jerez Motogp, and the train from San Fernando to Jerez is only 4euro each way. Facilities are basic, you can hear everything that's going on in the apartments around you, but luckily we didn't have any particularly noisy neighbours. Apart from the Shopping mall and the chain restaurants in it there isn't much else in the immediate area, you have to walk 15-20 mins to get to any local bars. Area is very safe as there's a huge Gaurdia Civil station in the complex. Parking is free. There is a pool but it was fenced off for construction work while we were there.
Cons: Towels weren't changed out over a 4 day stay. Armchairs in the sitting room are horrendously uncomfortable to sit in.
5.5 Okay
Pros: It was spacious and had a nice big terrace
Cons: The beds were very uncomfortable

Cons: Not the most polite receptionist. A little dated and the electricity seemed a little dodgy.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Large spacious room with fridge and balcony.
Cons: A small selection of food at breakfast
5.8 Okay
Pros: Not a comfy stay. Room had a super strong order of tobacco (we had to sleep with door open). NO mention on website that this was a smiking hotel/room (even has assstrays in room). We always book non smoking and if would of known would of not booked. We could not know at checking because our room was not ready so we got our room at 23h when we returned. The bed is like a marshmallow (memory foam that lost its memory). The minute people wake up you here everything in other rooms. Unfortunately me and my wife did not really sleep.
Cons: The location is great, the surrounding is nice. The room and public space relatively clean
6.3 Good
Pros: Close to Cadiz
Cons: They do not have non smoking rooms so you can smell it in the room. Not nice.
