Peace and quiet
We liked everything. This hotel is an absolute gem .David and Ivan run a rustic, rural haven that manages to incorporate a certain cosmopolitan panache rarely found in Andalucia; they have their own Art Gallery... David will source the most appropriate guide for your requirements..and almost anything else you may need....even before you know that you need it !!...Ivan will cook food for you that you will remember for the rest of your life..don't leave without tasting his glorious deserts.Take a look at their website for a full view of all the imaginative extras that are available.Unlike most other hotels I stayed at during this trip, David and Ivan provide Tea/ Coffee making facility in your room..Fabulous food, views, conversation,+ b and l This is not really a negative..but...the road that leads to Bandolero is not for the faint hearted and only the passengers can admire the stunning views from that road...unless you pull over..if you can. The trick for the driver is to look well ahead around the winding mountain road and if you spot anything coming your way look.. For a stopping point...even if you have to wait 5 mins it is worth it.There are large numbers of Ravens to be seen soaring and croaking above this road ..so well worth the endeavor.
David and Ivan were very friendly and hepful. It is in a quiet location in the hills south of Ronda. The restaurant food was excellent and well priced. The pool was very welcoming at the end of the day. There was no air-conditioning and it was very hot during our stay. A fan was provided but it still made sleeping difficult.
We enjoyed the quiet and the rustic nature of the hotel. It was friendly and home-like.
Good all round hospitality. The road to it!
It was a very comfortable hotel with excellent food and a lovely, quiet mountain location with fantastic views. The owner was friendly and flexible and nothing was too much trouble. A very relaxing place to stay, with good walks starting from right outside the hotel. No.
The owners are lovely. very friendly and helpful.
The guys who own the hotel were really friendly. The food was also great. A nice, quiet getaway. Would certainly recommend.
Comfort, location (near Ronda), rate, staff, facilities. It was a little bit dump in the bed-rooms. The reception open not all the day so it will be better to call previously in case of late arriving.
This hotel is a series of small apartments set aside in the small viliiage of Parauta. A perfect get away in the hills for the traveller who likes to just sit back enjoy the views and relax
Beautiful little house in a nice town, peaceful. The restaurant in town (I think there is just one) was great. People in the area is nice and friendly. There was a permanent sewage odor upstairs. The town is nice, however there was dog poop virtually in every street.
All the environment, equipments of the palce. The conception of apartments and equipment. The staff kindness. All was perfect for the place enviroment.
This is indeed an "experience", not a hotel. Beautiful surroundings, a little slice of heaven, really. House itself is incredible...terra cotta floors, winding staircase, large terrace to enjoy the view from. Small details like soft, thick towels, comfortable beds with plush comforters, power hairdryer plus towel warmers. Staff was very personable...like visiting relatives in a remote part of the world. Nothing.
Clean, simple accommodation. Plenty of space and privacy. Very friendly staff.
Ideal place to stay if you like to rest in a quiet village surrounded by mountains and still not far from Ronda or Marbella
The lady in the morning who checked us out was great. The location is breathtaking. Lovely spacious apartment. Very rustic but comfortable too. The road to get there is plain scary. From the coast it is 25 km of bend after bend. It is eerily dark at night. Check in process is a bit of a lottery as technically there is no one to check you in.
It is an excellent place to go and switch off. There is nothing to do in the village but sit down and relax.
Casas de Parauta is a completely different experience. Not like a conventional hotel, it is a collection of whitewashed houses in a small village near Ronda, sympathetically restored to excellent standards. We booked a double room, and were upgraded to an apartment. Not suitable for those looking for a lively nightlife, and could be a problem for those who find difficulty walking as village roads are steep. No restaurant in the hotel, but they have an arrangement with a restaurant in the village which can provide breakfast and dinner at a fixed rate. We would certainly stay again.
