Pros: The largely home cooked and extensive breakfast. The unprompted offer of a tasty light supper and wine because we arrived late due to a flight delay. Wonderful.
Pros: This beautiful place is such a fantastic find, everything is perfect and the hosts are lovely, friendly guys. Can't recommend Le clos galan enough. Will definitely return on our journey next year.
Pros: Beautiful house, gorgeous room, large and well fitted out. Kettle and tea cups provided (great bonus - much appreciated). The breakfast was lovely, the owner was very friendly (he prepared the pool and hot tub for us as soon as we arrived!) and the dog was a treat!
Cons: Located in a pretty but rather quiet town, as we found with most of the places we visited in France.
Pros: Breakfast was superb! Buffet with lots to choose from, as much as we could eat. Also lovely gardens to relax in with a cold drink. Very quiet. Beautiful old farm house, very attractively appointed with lots of things to look at and admire, and a large sitting room for guests.
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. The pool was just nice for our 4 year old to have a good splash around. The actual site is so peaceful. Eric and William were so helpful and friendly. We would definitely return.
Pros: The building itself is fabulous..the hosts were wonderful and had done so much to make it what it is today...spotless everywhere..their eye for detail is exceptional.. the hosts made their own cakes which were exquisite..homemade jams etc..our boys loved the tree house and the expanse of gardens it has to offer and with the dog, cat and chickens in situ it gives you that country house feel..two large lounges with open fires Christmas would be magical here....the bedroom was bright and airy with a truely modern touch of decor and colours under the traditional beams.,..it really is an amazing place to stay ..would definitely recommend Le Close.
Cons: Beautiful setting for the spotless accommodation..the village had a limited choice of eateries but it was ok for our short stay.
Pros: Excellent guest house in a beautifully restored and spotlessly clean farm house typical of the area. The hosts are very welcoming, speak good English and create a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Very comfortable room and a very good breakfast.
Pros: This is a beautifully restored house that is a wonderful and relaxing, out of the way place to visit. The hosts make every effort to insure that your stay is enjoyable. The pool and spa are amazing. The breakfast featured local breads, cheeses and fruit, with homemade spreads. Fantastic.
Cons: There is nothing about this place that I did not like. It is fantastic.
Pros: We loved our stay here and wish it had been longer! The owners were fantastic from the moment we arrived until the minute we left (early in the morning as we had to catch an early fight but they stil prepared a lovely breakfast for us which was wonderful). The room was spacious, very clean and the bed really comfortable. A lovely, well maintained and very well decorated building and grounds with plenty of really nice classy touches to help enjoy the stay. Loved the location too; nice and quiet but only a few minutes walk away from the (very pretty) village centre. In summary, we’d stay here again any day and would have no hesitation in recommending Le Clos Galan to anyone. We already have as we took some flyers away with us! Many, many thanks Eric & William for making our stay thoroughly enjoyable.
Cons: Nothing - it was all great and was made so by the exceptional nature of the owners.
