The outlook of the castle and walking on the old stairs were romantic. Also, the breakfast at the outside of restaurant on the 1st floor was pretty awesome. Even though the breakfast buffet was only bread, jam, butter, yogurt, ham, boiled egg and cheese (no salads or ordinary breakfast buffet menu), the ambience of having breakfast was good enough. There were a spider on the wall. The interior of the room was too old and didn't match the ambience of front or restaurant area. I thought I paid through the booking.com but I need to pay again at the front desk of Cht. Pomys and it chared me extra for 'internaitonal transaction fee.' There are no evevators. If we visited here with our kids, it must have been a disastor.
Wonderful building and location; attentive but unobtrusive staff; excellent food and wine Liked it all
The location in vineyard area, the quiet and nice staff
Visiting the wineyards in the area. The restaurant was closed on sunday and it is 7 km to the closest open one.
Its a real chateaux with nice atmosphere, fine cousine, garden, etc. restraunt not working on Sundays, but this is a good point to visit different restaurant in the vilages nearby.
our room was serviced very well daily - very quiet at night - staff friendly and helpful - breakfast was very minimal and never varied - there was not really a proper bar and an awful lot of rules about food in rooms etc
The very friendly service and the cleanliness of the room There was a rather strange smell in the room, which was probably due to the cleaning materials. However, the room was very clean.
It is a quietness place
Freshly refurbished, very clean and M & Mme les Patronnes were very friendly.I would re-book it in the future. Nothing
Proximity of room to pool. Brilliant for cycling based holiday. Ease of access to room. Quiet surroundings. Very pleasant host (excellent english speaker). Due to exchange rate breakfast in hotel is currently expensive but shops and cafes only 10 mins cycle/5mins drive away.
We found the accommodation very clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful. At this time of the year it was very quiet. Being from New Zealand, it was very nice to have the BBC English Channel for the news. No complaints really....would have been nice to have the shower arranged over the bath, however the fittings for the shower rose over the bath were adequate.
Calm, nice, near beach, clean breakfast little "light" for the price
hotel owners were very friendly and helpful
It was quiet and very pleasant. We stayed for breakfast and that was very pleasant too. A nice simple place to stay.
Wonderful location, very near to the beach. Helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Secure car park. I loved the balcony, even though I was only here one night on business!
The hotel staff were very friendly, our room was very comfortable and had a huge balcony with a sea view, an excellent location for a bit of peace and quiet. peignoirs were provided for us to use the jacuzzi. would have liked a bit more choice for breakfast, but what we had was very good.
The peace and quiet and the standard of the room
The accomodation is first rate, and spotlessly clean. The location is ideal, quiet but is within 2 minutes of the main street which leads to the immaculate beaches. On- parking is real godsend, parking would be a nightmare otherwise. No
The room was large, modern and very clean. Had good facilities for disabled people The hotel atmosphere was not great. There were obviously permanent elderly people who live within the complex and therefore it feels more like a retirement village than hotel.
The apartment is clean and spacious and good for tarvel with family. Parking facility is also good. We wanted to find a place to stay in Royan, somehow this hotel was suggested by your website which can be accessed by a ferry from Royan.Since we traveled with car hence needed to spent extra time and budget (30 euros/trip) on commuting to the hotel. This place would be good for travellers visiting the Medoc region north of Bordeaux.
Nice staff, very clean apparttement, comfortable, furnished rooms with a nice style. Useful kitchen corner. Central location: the beach is close, the market and the shopping area are in the next street. The parking inside is secure and absolutely helpful!
Clean modern rooms with an excellent location close to the pedestrian precinct The shower arrangement was unusual, only a curtain that enclosed a very small space.
very friendly staff, poor wifi connectivity
Dog-friendly. Quiet location. Simple but very comfortable room with everything required. Free WiFi in room. Excellent dinner in hotel's charming garden .
Too expensive for that room! The ratio Price/quality wasn't good at all.
Good sized room with a spacious bathroom, and quiet away from the road. Limited facilities in the local village.
We found the room comfortable and the staff very helpful. The hotel is well located for visits to the Medoc region. The only disappointment was the gritty surface material of the parking and footways which adhered to our shoes and soiled the car and the floor of the room and was particularly unpleasant when it rained which it did 2 out of the 3 days we stayed there.
The hotel was very clean, comfortable and water always hot at any time of day/night.I had a family crisis back in the UK and M le Patron was very helpful in allowing me to use his computer to reorganise my forward hotel travel arrangements, and rebook flights. I would come back again. Nothing
very difficult to find
This hotel is not placed in the best place for a family but was a good budget business hotel. Rooms were clean but not too easy to find somewhere to eat at night in the off season at weekends as the hotel only did food at night during the week, but suitable for what we needed. Not the best location but for a budget business trip it would be ideal.
Lovely "little houses", nice pool, very clean, very quiet and relaxing. No shops nearby open for bread/milk/etc. late in the evening; lots of ants everywhere (patio, pool; but none inside the houses).
Hotel was nice and quiet, apartments were all clean and all located close to the pool area. Reception was only open for a few hours a day, and there is a need for a restaurant or bar on site. Also, evening entertainment was called up but there was not any.
We stayed at LDDS with our two teenagers, they loved the pool. Considering the proximity of other buildings the outside seeting area was quite private. Be aware you will be charged for bedding. 45 euros for 2 singles and 1 double. The beds were not brilliant and the pillows were very uncomfortable. One of my son's opted to sleep on the lounge sofa bed. The accommodation has all you need but on a very small scale. The comfy seating area was only big enough for 2/3, we would have found it very hard if there had been 6 of us. Be warned it is quite a long walk into Soulac from here but it is really worth it! Despite all that we had a good break!
Accomodations were fantastic and we could walk to the beach. Plenty of room in the apartment for your family of 6. The town of Soulac sur Mer is a lovely relaxing seaside place to vacation in May however be aware that the population explodes over the peak season.
