9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved this hotel so much. It was beautiful; wonderfully restored from an old theatre. They've still got original seats scattered about the place and there were 2 in our room. They've also managed to restore traditional elements like the domed staircase, a stone chimney and best of all the wine cellar downstairs. We didn't have time for a drink here but it was nice and cool so an ideal sanctuary in the summer heat! The terrace was nicely done too - lots of shade - and breakfast was dreamy. Fresh fruit, meats, cheese, bread and tomate, plus cakes and pastries. Laura and her staff were very welcoming and hospitable. Laura even arranged a wine tour for us but we didn't end up going as it was out of town and we "accidentally" drank too much wine in Haro. Oops. Beautiful location, really off the beaten path. You do need a car though.
Cons: Check-out could have been a bit quicker.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the very best hotels/B&B's that I have EVER stayed at! Everything was 100% perfect, every detail! A charmingly renovated theater, in a peaceful village, with cute little bells of the church every 15 minutes: GREAT! And there is even a nice public swimming pool very nearby so the children could swim for only 3 euro. What a great B&B!
Cons: Everything was PERFECT!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!! From the moment you walk in you are transported into the element of the property! The room was incredible and they are all themed. There’s so much beautiful history in this building. The courtyard was so great to just hang out during siesta hours with some wine and cheese. Laura was so helpful and sent us to some great places for views and meals as the village doesn’t have much. The rooms were so comfortable and breakfast was incredible!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bedroom and facilities were excellent, ideal location in central position and very welcoming management.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exquisite hotel, beautifully refurbished I have stayed in 5 star hotels and they are not as good as this hotel! Themed decor in every room, stylish and chic, but not just appearances, super powerful showers, fluffy white towels, comfortable bed, fantastic breakfast, not forgetting the owners who are so friendly and go out of thier way to make you feel like you are special!
Cons: Nothing!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: - The staff, Laura & Jose are great hosts. They care a lot about any single person and make you feel special. - The breakfast is homemade and delicious - The room was super special and with a great atmosphere
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Teatrisso has to be one of the loveliest hotels I’ve ever stayed in! Not only is the hotel absolutely beautiful, full of history and clean as a whistle, the owners and staff were outstanding and the breakfast was delicious. 100 out of 10!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful, helpful hostess who helped keep us organized. Great location right in the middle of the town. Super old place with out door seating area for breakfast and, again, our hostess was very attentive wanting to get things just so. Town square with bar quite busy with local people and a very good restaurant five minutes walk away where we were looked after very well.
Cons: A restaurant at the hotel would have been nice. There was a parking restriction in the town centre from midnight on Friday through the midnight on Sunday. It was not really a problem to move the car 300 meters away, out of the old town just something we didn't know about. Cars are allowed in for pick ups and drop offs, luggage etc .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Super helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful hotel, nice decor and outdoor area. Bed was comfy and breakfast was amazing. We loved the idea of the honesty bar.
Cons: Nothing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: great family atmosphere in the hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The host, although he only speaks Spanish, could not have done more to make us welcome. The whole hotel had recently been decorated & our en suite was new I think. We had a king size bed plus a settee (Trigo). The downstairs guest areas are full of character - stone walls, wooden beams, plus a feature has been made of the old mill stones & machinery. There is a residents' lounge, a free computer and an outside terrace where you can enjoy booth food & drink. We stayed here 2 nights & ate in the restaurant on both occasions. The menu del dia, served in the evening from 7.30 (another bonus in Spain) was delicious. 15 euros each including a good bottle of rioja! The breakfast was also tasty with a wide choice of local fayre. The hotel is an easy 5 minute walk to the centre of town & the sights. We even bought some Rioja from his small wine supply to enjoy on our return home at very competitive prices!
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Our compliments to Florian, he is a wonderful and careful host. Very warm and clean place to stay, spacious room, good breakfast.
7.0 Good
Pros: Average budget hotel, friendly owner.
Cons: Rooms very small. Would not recommend the town to stay in very unfriendly bar and cafe staff, in fact very rude and quite aggressive. Both partner and I quite shocked, been travelling for 30 years... guess there has to be one bad town... Do not stay at this town even though it’s on the Camino.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The amazing art everywhere which was hand painted by the owner, who also made all the ceramics - amazing!
Cons: We liked everything
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A very different experience, totally remote village surrounded by the Rijoca Vineyards.
Cons: No restaurant at all in the village so we were recommended a 'local' one the next door village... this was a very basic rural bar which managed to provide one plate of chorizo, lumps of cheese and rough ham . No plates or anything. All very 'genuine'but don't expect anything else round there.! The tower while very comfy and well prepared was to my mind very dark with just arrow slit windows and one small window door. What did I expect you might ask?!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place to stay. In the middle of nowhere, but worth the trip. This accommodation is a work of love and it shows.
Cons: No WiFi in room, but it worked in the common area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was amazing, The tower was beautiful comfortable, romantic, with great views of the town. The owner was very friendly. We were so glad that we took a detour to be able to stay in this place. Highly recommend this place!
Cons: The only thing I did not like is that we did not stay there longer!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room décor was the antidote to chain hotels. The owner is a ceramics artist & had done the whole place out in medieval style. There was even period music at breakfast. Half expected it to be served by Edmund & Melchett.
Cons: Selected private parking & aircon filters on Booking.com. This place had neither. Latter not necessary due to thick walls. Former led to us parking down the street & getting snotty notices left on our windscreen

Pros: The hotel had character and the room was comfortable. Plenty of parking.

After complaining to the the management it did improve the following day It was a shame he had to complain as it caused an uncomfortable feeling and he just wanted to leave.

Pros: Swimming pool on a very day on the Camino, and staff had good english language skills.
Cons: Hot cramped rooms of 6 on hot sweaty night. No air flow.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is wonderful. Jana treats everyone with genuine care and always with a big smile. You feel very welcome and taken care of. The evening meal is the best I have had at any stop on the Camino. It was very flavorful, well crafted, and in generous servings too. Breakfast also great and the pool & garden at the end of a long day are a huge bonus. All in all, very accommodating and pleasant.
Cons: Can't think of anything I did not like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect for the Camino. There were easy to find signs!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The garden was a lovely retreat
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Garden, pool, enough washing lines, price for the bed was ok, showers and toilets were ok. It's on the Camino near the plaza. Beautifull staircase.
Cons: Check-in took a long time because the Hospitalera talks too much and is writing the schedule for lunch, dinner and breakfast for every guest by hand on a piece of paper! My dormitory was in a loft with lots of stairs to climb. The wooden rafters were quite dangerous to bump the head. The soap containers were empty. A half liter bottle of water in the vending machine was 1€ (normally 50 c), the kitchen was very small, crammed and full of flies. The pilgrims menu was 13€, normal it's 10. They didn't hand out paper sheets, you could rent sheets. The matress-covers might not get changed often. Laundry was 3,50, while normally it's 3€. They just try to charge more than usual for many little things, it might not matter to pay a few € more the normal, but it's just not a good style. View to an empty plot with rubbish.
7.5 Good
Pros: Right on the Camino so very convenient.
Cons: Extremely hot in the room. Literally no air circulation. Middle of the road albergue. Nothing special.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely property off the beat and track of the Camino, located in Quintanilla del Monte en Rioja - but worth the extra kilometers. Mother/daughter hostess were warm, welcoming and accommodating. The property is in an unexpected, rustic and quaint location - a nice insight on the many life styles in Castile and León, Spain
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were wonderful. The room was comfortable and clean. Well worth the 10 minute walk from the path or they will pick you up. One of my favorite Camino stops so far.
Cons: Nothing.
6.3 Good
Pros: The hotel/house was set up for B&B. Decent size room with good beds but the private bathroom had a bad plumbing problem and stench of sewerage! Not pleasant! We arrived late from walking the Camino that day and dinner had finished, but we were grateful that they brought out dinner anyway. Quite good but way too salty salad, and main course meatballs were undercooked inside to my liking, but flavorful. The breakfast was overpriced and not great with stale bread, cold coffee and no fruit.
5.0 Okay
Cons: The heating did not come on in the morning. The room was damp and cold. The food is overpriced and nothing to write home about. Unfortunately the excellent Restaurant Leon on the Camino route closes in the evenings.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, interesting history, great location in Santo Domingo. We were facing the courtyard which was a little loud(church bells). Fantastic hot shower, very clean and sizeable room. The only complaint was it was difficult to figure out how to get to the hotel (signage was clear-ish, it was just hard to believe we had to drive down these tiny lanes and could barely fit in the parking area). Overall, we would highly recommend the hotel.
Cons: Hard to get in and out of the parking. Plus a construction tru b kept blocking the entrance/exit

7.5 Good
Pros: Nice comfortable hotel. A little bit tired, but in a lovely building.
Cons: The bar was very disappointing, in a small and rather boring room when there was a beautiful room right next door. Plus, no-one seemed to ever clear the tables. The town is pretty dull but it was just a necessary stopover for us.

Pros: Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff and excellent restaurant.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: After reading some of the reviews we were a little apprehensive about booking here. What a surprise. We found it a great place for an overnighter. The room was larger than normal, bright and well appointed. Bathroom huge by this type of hotel and very good. Meet/greet and departure were both top class and in English. Parking, at the front door. Included breakfast, for the price charged was very good. If ever we go back that way happy to stay again. Oh and we left door/window open all night and it was still very quiet.
Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: Room was a good size
Cons: The restaurant was terrible! Overpriced and inedible food, very disappointing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Well located near the motorway but very quiet. Ideal for a one night stop over whilst travelling through to the UK. Good value. Would stay again
Cons: The glass in the windows need replacing both in our bedroom (room 126) and dining room as cloudy and spoilt the view of the countryside other than that nothing
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: It seemed that the hotel was trying to save money where ever they could. The hotel had turned off the entire air condition so it was too hot to sleep in the room. Breakfast was very low quality. We had to ask for simple things like towels in the room, cups at the breakfast table etc.
