Pros: Josephine was very friendly and always smiling. David's response to my email was so prompt and quick. Thank you guys, my husband and I are coming back. Perfect location to wind up !!! I will recommend Chateau D' Alteville to all my friends.
Cons: Nothing, it's the perfect location to relax , but can do with another pillow. :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An outstanding experience from the moment we arrived! Our host David is rightly proud of his family home and its history, and quite generous in sharing his time and wonderfully warm personality. Merci from New Jersey!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owners were very friendly and helpful and told us some of the history of this very old Chateau. The rooms had a very authentic feel to them in terms of the history of the building. We had dinner cooked by the owners which was fabulous, and the meat came from animals on the property. This is a very genuine property with an interesting history, including German occupation in WW2 and for anyone who enjoys history this place provides it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I thoroughly enjoyed my one night at this property. Everything about it was wonderful
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host, David was exceptionally good. He provides a wonderful and relaxing experience because he leaves nothing to chance. He is such a helpful and engaging person. We had an excellent dinner beautifully cooked and accompanied by very good wines. The chateau has been well restored so that guests can enjoy the historic setting as well as a very comfortable experience. All in all this is a great place to stay.

Pros: The Château is a real delight. The host, David, was extremely nice and helpful. Enjoying the evening and dinner with the David and the other guests was very special.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner of the chateau was the ultimate host. He was very friendly, accommodative and managed to create a very nice atmosphere during dinner among a group of persons that did not know each other. The location was beautiful. A very nice terrace outside where we also got our dinner served during our second night. the whole stay felt very cozy and warm.
Cons: For us, it was the perfect stay. We would not change a thing.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location nice and quiet
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very Nice clean and brandnew place. Big rooms, we slept there with our 3 kids, perfect.

Pros: Lovely place , great family room ,good location for restaurants shopping etc , lovely couple running the place very friendly, room was very modern and spacious, will definitely stay again when passing.
4.3 Okay
Pros: The room decor was pleasant. Quiet location.
Cons: The greeting wasn’t very welcoming. The owners were entertaining friends and we felt we were an inconvenience. The main complaint was that we traveled over 500 kilometres only to find there was no where open to get an evening meal. We should have been advised and would not have stayed there. After complaining the wife kindly offered us bread and cheese. We stayed in a number of different locations and this stay had the least appeal and friendly atmosphere. The breakfast lacked imagination.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The farm is very French in style and attitude. The host is great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Delicious breakfast. Etienne was a fabulous host, nothing was too much trouble - even our very early breakfast. The mini bar in the room was well stocked and not expensive.
Cons: Book a restaurant before hand if you need to as the village is very quiet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location and property and the owner was very friendly and welcoming and very helpful. It was a pleasure
Cons: Everything was very good
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Owner very welcoming and hospitable. Breakfast delicious. Good stop over point on journey to Italy. Perfect family accommodation (3 kids 11,9 and 7).
Cons: Air con only in the bedroom, not in lounge where second double bed was.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious and clean rooms, safe parking. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner, who was helped by his 8-year old daughter. Etienne went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and even though we were stuck in traffic and arrived late, this was no problem. As our youngest put it: “can’t we stay here a bit longer please??” We would definitely recommend staying here!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay. We were travelling back from Switzerland with a small baby and needed an overnight stop. The suite we booked was a bargain and meant we could put babe down and still stay up - always a bonus when travelling with small children. Kitchenette was well equipped (again - good with a small person) and we managed to grab a take away pizza from the local place which was great. Nice simple French breakfast and plenty of space to park. It was a little away from the motorway but a lovely (if winding) road. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: Nothing

9.3 Excellent
Pros: We had a great time at La Petit Flo. The friendly owners gave us a warm welcome and have done everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Always time for a nice chat. Christophe and Claire have given us a lot of information about the area. Metz is a half-hour drive from Flocourt, Nancy 50 minutes and Strasbourg an hour and a half. Because Flocourt is in the countryside, there are no restaurants nearby. The host will prepare a delicious dinner for you at a good price on request. Breakfast is served in the shared kitchen. Many home-made products such as brioche, jam and yogurt. The room is not large, but clean and fully equipped. A wonderful shower and lots of storage space for your belongings. You can also use the common room with kitchen. Our room, Baroque, has a directly access to a nice private terras. We like to come back to stay in the Pod : ) Yvonne and Dirk

Pros: We liked how our host did his absolute best to make us feel welcome. After a long hot day on our motorcycles, he made sure we could relax in the garden enjoying a cool drink. Dinner in the evening was very delicious! The pod was a very cosy place to stay and the airconditioning in the pod made our stay very comfortable.
Cons: Nothing to mention here!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The host was very helpful and friendly. He welcomed us warmly, recommended places to go, prepared breakfast and kept us company during the breakfast. Even though he doesn't speak English, he put great effort into communicating with us via translator, which made the experience even cooler.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host of Le Petit Flo is a one-of-a-kind man. We had a problem with a tyre and he was so friendly to take us to the nearest cycle shop. The dinner was super good, and the pod was great. Great service, super chill, highly recommended
6.3 Good
Pros: A very friendly and helpful owner. Did put in the fridge a welcome drink (beer) and prepered us a quick snack. Great Breakfast.
Cons: When we arrived there where flies everywhere. The air condition is not located directly in the bedroom, and if someone else is staying the the apartment is difficult to get the desired temperature. The smell from the bathroom when brushing the teeth was from septic tank and you just could not clean your self. The bathroom needs a little touch. Also the outside smell was from septic tank. This needs to be taken care off.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly and very flexible. We arrived late and were hungry and tired. The owner organised an improvised Cole meal for us in no time, and for a very reasonable price. Breakfast was good. Quiet and away from it all.

Domaine Du Moulin - Saint-Avold - Bedroom

9.3 Excellent (61 reviews)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful location yet an easy drive from the motorway. Quite quirky and quaint. Furnished with lovey up- cycled furniture. Bed very comfortable. Large kitchen dining area and guests can make tea and coffee there whenever they want. Ample breakfast with meats, cheese, warm bread etc. Owner gave us a recommendation for a place to dine in nearby Saint-Avold and we had an excellent meal there.
Cons: Shower gel container was empty.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was quiet, peaceful, a little bit quirky, great food, and very French which is just what we wanted....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cosy, a bit quirky, good location - not to far from town or the AT but quiet and rural.
Cons: Nothing. It was very comfortable and the hostess was most welcoming and helpful.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nothing.the whole experience was terrible
Cons: We were made to feel totally ill at ease and unwelcome. I phoned to say we would be a little late ( i speak good french) as the traffic was heavy. I was met by a sigh and a reluctant acceptance. We arrived at 9.00pm.we were taken up to our rooms.some other guests were downstairs in the same building.my son has downes syndrome. He often makes a low pitched moaning sound. The lady owner told brusquely us to make him be quiet as there were other people sleeping.(It was 9.20 pm).As he is severely disabled (something which must have been obvious to her) we were not able to do what she demanded. Clearly we will always be considerate to the needs of other guests but this was inconsiderate and insulting and made us feel totally ill at ease for the rest of our stay. She then asked us what time we would like breakfast. We replied 9.00 am (hardly late ) to wich she replied with disdain that she would lay out the breakfast at 7 and to make sure we cane down no later than 8.45. We met her the following morning. We were told 3 times that the checkout was at 10.00. We had specifically chosen this accomodation as it had a swimming pool and before a long journey a swim relaxes my son.My wife cleared the room and paid (by 9.30) and i took my son fir a swim.At 10.20 as my wife was bringing towels down and we were getting out the male owner came to brusquely tell us that we had to get out of the pool as he had to prepare it for the next guests.(the check in is listed as from 5pm!) This couple made us feel unwanted And very uncomfortable. This is not a particularly cheap bed and breakfast and it was a total nightmare for us.

Pros: Excellent bedroom. Excellent restaurant service, at very reasonable price (don't miss it!)! Friendly staff, and willing to go the extra mile (offered to park my motorbike indoors/reception area. I will return. Recommended!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was great for where I was working. The room was great with a balcony. The Bathroom was also of a high quality.
Cons: No coffee or tea making facilities in the room. The WiFi was also not working very well.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We arrived on ascension day. This ment the restaurant was closed. As we were on the motorcycle we did not like to have to gear up again for food. The owner proposed to bring us to the restaurant and also picked us up after dinner. This is really exceeding expectations. The hotel is very new, clean and well equipped. As the hotel location at the edge of town is not really super, I could not give max score there, but this service cannot be topped. I therefore highly recommend this hotel
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is absolutely spotless in the rooms and public areas. Comfortable beds and beautifully quiet area. Lovely bathroom with great shower(s) and a separate lavatory. The restaurant is very good. I asked for the hotel burger and was told that it didn't come in a bread roll. I thought it was odd but decided to have it anyway. The bread is replaced by fried potato patties top and bottom and it's highly recommended to try. Good breakfast choices.
Cons: The air conditioning was inoperative. I think. It was so complicated to get operating I assumed it was broken and gave up as there were no instuctions. The staff were a little cold and there was little atmosphere in the hotel making it feel quite clinical. But, being new, it may develop some character. I hope so.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We booked in for a Monday night on the way home from Austria - and we had the hotel to ourselves! Despite being the only guests, the staff did not show any annoyance at having to prepare food in the evening just for us or provide an early breakfast before we left and were very friendly and helpful. The food was actually some of the best we had on our 2 week Europe road trip - delicious!

La Dame Blanche - Bérig-Vintrange - Bedroom
8
9.1 Excellent (60 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, the garden was lovely and the size of the room was bigger than expected and over 2 levels
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful home/room, tastefully decorated, good quality furnishings and nice attention to detail. Fabulous patio/terrace with beautiful views and a very nice pool. Price very reasonable when you consider it includes breakfast and quality of stay far superior to most hotels we’ve stayed in (which were about 40 in the last few weeks, so we have lots we can compare it too). Had dinner as well—make sure to request in advance—which was good and a nice variation from restaurant meals. Very good value.
Cons: Nothing. It was delight to stay there. The only thing to be aware of is that it is in small hamlet with little or no services or restaurants around unless you want to drive several kilometers. We were bike touring and very happy to stay here and have the fabulous meal on the premises. Will definitely stay again if I’m in the area.

Pros: Very convenient and comfortable place in a tiny village to make a stop on a longer trip. Breakfast was prepared nicely by the host and the cat joined us. Speaking some words of French is useful.

Pros: Yes, the croissant were good and the woman was extra nice. Highly personalized service and the environment was so refreshing.
Cons: It would be great if there are more resto or stores nearby.

Pros: A very relaxed stay at this family oriented owners. The place has a retro décor, but I can assure that it is comfortable and clean. The location is very quiet thus one needs to drive 8km to eat out, which was ok for us. The breakfast is rich of farm home made items - the yoghurt is just exquisite.
Cons: Nothing to comment.

7.5 Good
Pros: Great breakfast! A lot of space to sit outside on the terrace and in the garden. Very nice host. Very comfortable bed.
Cons: Kitchen not well equipped, everything a bit crammed and run down.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Good, restful country area
Cons: We had booked a studio with 2 single beds. That doesn’t exist!! They blame Booking.com for that. As a result, we had to take 2 rooms, and pay almost double the money(€180 vs €102 if there had been twin beds). The owners would not accept less. That leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: we were on a cycling holiday and the location fitted our itinerary perfectly. a simple hotel, with comfortable and clean facilities. We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast. great value for money. I would stay here again.

7.5 Good
Pros: The room was small, but clean, tidy and had all items you would require like tea/coffee facilities, hair dryer etc. Would recommend booking a table at the adjoining restaurant and I would recommend the beef, it was so well cooked and just melt in your mouth.
Cons: The shower / WC room was separated by a curtain but this was due to the design of the room

Pros: The food in the restaurant was exceptional, the service very good and most of the staff spoke English
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Most of all we loved the restaurant. The food was outstanding in a modern and spacious dining room and being summer time the pre dinner drinks were served in the garden which also provides the restaurant with fresh produce. Breakfast was simple but with lots of home made jams etc which made it very enjoyable without being complicated. Parking is directly opposite the hotel.
Cons: The guest room was very basic and quite small. However it was perfectly clean with a comfortable bed. If the rooms were of the same standard as the restaurant, this hotel would be a winner.

Pros: A phenomenal patisserie is connected to this very European hotel. Excellent coffee and breakfast when you walk downstairs. The room, while expectedly small, was comfortable. The location within the village was charming. We took an evening stroll around a nearby square where there were a few interesting looking cafes. It is older European charming and quite convenient to the American cemetery we came to visit.
Cons: Travelers who cannot climb stairs need to know there is no elevator. Only minimal English is spoken so come prepared to whip out your best sign language. The dinner offered would have been better to pass on and explore the nearby cafes.

Pros: This was perfect for me as an overnight stay. It is a very peaceful and beautiful rural location but within 10 minutes drive of the nearest town with bars and restaurants. The lady owner is extremely kind and welcoming, and her husband is a good cook who cooked me a delicious meal that evening with excellent wine. I slept very well and had everything I needed. This is a traditional "relais" (not a hotel) and as such it is excellent.

Pros: We booked this B&B on our way to the south of France and for the trip back to the Netherlands. Anne was wonderfull! We had a great, romantic room where we stayed with our baby and 2 year old child. Anne cooked twice a delicious dinner for us. Breakfast was also great. How Anne treated her guests is special. When we are in the neighbourhood, we will definitely come back!
Cons: Nothing, everything was great!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: My family and I were able to stay at this lovely B&B for only a night while we traveled through France, but it was one of the most memorable stays during our European trip! The family was kind and welcoming, breakfast was FANTASTIC (Ana provided us with homemade breads and jams, meat, and cheeses galore). Our room was a converted stable that was all at once quaint and comfortable! The surrounding town was very small, but our hosts pointed us in the direction of some of the best food we've ever had the privilege of enjoying and the quiet French countryside was refreshing. We loved our stay here and would recommend it to anyone in search of a peaceful place to warm your heart.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, value for money, very friendly staff
4.3 Okay
Pros: A smile from the owner would have been nice. I have stayed in better youth hostels. The place was spartan and the cleanliness did not compensate for the lack of any charm. How about some flowers outside? The one redeeming feature was the restaurant Goujon opposite where we ate well and were made to feel welcome. Overall we felt it was a shame that we had disturbed their routine. Wifi was awful, hand held shower .
Cons: Everything

Cons: Tiny hole in one of the bedsheets. Only left with a small amount of toilet roll between 4 of us.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was a quiet location , just off the motorway. An overnight stop for us . The lad on reception was very friendly . We had live music in the dining room which was very good. The bed was so comfortable! And as it was hot the air on worked well.
Cons: The food choice was ok. But not as good as we have had on a previous stopover. Salad was a huge helping of lettuce with a little cucumber and dressing . There was a poor selection of breakfast, no egg left . Food uncovered with lots of flies . We had to ask for milk as it was empty.the bread was stale . So we were hungry .

Good quality evening meal and breakfast. Good location to break up a longer car journey through Europe and 1 minute away from the A4,
