Large room, fairly nice for the price.
The hospitality staff wakes you up with 3 minutes of knocking on the door at 9 am. Checkout wasn't until 11 so this was a rude wake-up after working late.
Very close to where we needed to be. Convenient location. Staff was very courteous.
The room didn't have a refrigerator, microwave or a working coffee machine. Staff was unable to accommodate us when we wanted to heat up food in the evening. The lobby operated only during specific hours. Once the lobby, not the desk, was closed you were out of luck and any amenities not the room you went without. There was hair in the bed which lead us to believe the room was not thoroughly cleaned. The bathroom was not refreshed so we ended up spreading towels on the floor. The room felt damp which made the room uncomfortable. We didn't get a good nights sleep. We were relieved to check out.
I arrived after 10pm, and the lobby was closed. The gentleman at the window told me I could not come in after lobby hours. I had to stand outside in the rain while he fumbled through paperwork and couldn't find my reservation. I felt like a second class citizen. It was cheap, but next time I'm in the area I'll use a hotel that's not going to kick me out of the lobby.
Hotel was great! The front counter staff was more than welcoming and said hello every morning on the way to the great continental breakfast that was always hot, well stocked and attended. The room had ample space and the bed was very comfortable. Had to ask the maid for replacement towel one morning and it was taken care of in no time. The bathroom was clean and the shower was very nice with good water pressure. The outdoor pool was a nice bonus and was very well cared for. A very nice place to stay with easy access back to I-440.
The bathroom did not have the best ventilation, and on the more humid days it would stay damp for a while.
Toilet was plugged up when we checked in; unable to unplug using plunger and had to wait until next morning for on-site maintenance person to come and finally unplug it. Staff offered us another room, but it was nighttime and the new room was one floor down from ours.
Room was huge and appeared clean, except as noted below. It was quiet after nine. Staff was accommodating after we booked through kayak and they told me they had no rooms. We waited fifteen minutes and she got us a room after making some calls.
Pillows were small and lumpy. There were many tiny hairs on the bedding. I realize people shed but if you have white bedding maybe you should have staff cover their hair or lint roll when they are done making beds, because that kind of freaks me out. Other than the people hanging out smoking outside the building and the scary area at night, I was pleasantly surprised by everything.
Easy check in
The hotel had a very bad odor, there was no overhead lighting in the room. No extra towels could be offered, hotel ran out!
Location was OK, close to what I needed to accomplish
Motel needs a major rehab, cushions on chairs have tears, foul odor in rooms (had to change my room) tiny bathrooms (hit my head on towel hanger couple of times getting off the toilet) Noisy guests at night prompted security intervention several times. Resembles 70's party joint. If you like to wake up rested in the morning to be ready for important tasks you have to do, I advise you to drive a few miles further down the Blvd to find an alternative motel.
Cleanliness of the room and location
Sink was a little stopped up they could expand on the parking lot
Not much. This was a terrible experience.
Coming to Raleigh for a concert festival, we tried to check in go the hotel slightly early. Though we could not check in, we were told there was a note put on the system that we would be coming back late, after midnight. When we got there around 1am, there were several irate customers warning us in the parking lot that our rooms had been given away. When we went to the desk they said they had sold out, despite our reservation. Our only attempt at a fix was the front desk man asking if we would like room for free without a working toilet. After 45 minutes on the phone, cancing with a third party, we were finally offered our money back officially and had to drive 30 minutes away to find another hotel.
We weren't able to get a room until 5:00 and were forced to go over to the holiday inn. Much better facility. Then, after making reservations there, we tried to cancel our reservation with Kayak and the refused. Never book through these sites -- always go straight to the hotel.
Not a thing! Really dumb employees.
They gave my rooms away and then offered me to stay in a room that the toilet wasn't working.
My stay here was excellent. The location is convenient due to it being surrounded by 15 restaurants
The lady gave me a key to a room that was being occupied by someone else. So walking into a room while the person was in the shower was embrassing. The front drsk clerk quickly got me another key
nice comfy bed and room was spacious....breakfast was good except for the fact that you have to walk outside to get to the lobby...that was not good. staff was friendly.....location was good for what we needed
strong smell of cleaning products, bathroom was not cleaned properly....found hair on tub walls, in tub and on floor.....crazy that you have to walk outside to get to the lobby to get breakfast....not too keen on that.
Location, tranquility, clean
