Pros: Food and location.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, good cheap restaurant in the hotel, good basic breakfast for only 6 euros/person. Spacious room with very modern bathroom, clean.
Cons: Maybe the pillows can be better. They were very soft.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Easy enough to find. Maybe 5 cars worth of parking directly outside the hotel, another 6 or so places tucked around the back. Met with a warm welcome. Plenty of English spoken. The dog was allowed in the bar/breakfast area. We were able to put all our bar bills on the room, only 1 payment necessary. A very good selection of food & drink available at the bar. Had a couple of yummy meals, highly recommend the home-made cake! It's well worth booking a table for the evening, they do fill up! A very comfortable room. Enormous bathroom. All very fresh & clean looking. Our room was cleaned & tidied while we were at breakfast. They must have swung straight into action the moment we were downstairs, lol. We thought this was a really nice touch. Breakfast is simple but of a very high standard. All good! My wife would be very happy to stay again, I wouldn't take much persuasion :-) .
Cons: A dog-friendly place needs a bin out front ;-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant stay and lovely people. Nice breakfast!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Basically everything. Friendly personel, clean facilities, big room and - last but not least - excellent food. And all that at a very moderate price. Ralingen is a little bit off the beaten track. But then that can be a plus, too :)
Cons: There isn't any elevator. Hard to get up to your room if you have trouble with stairs. Especially when you carry luggage. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here before a couple of years ago and didn't hesitate in staying there again as our first night on the Continent traveling. The staff are always pleasant and accomodating in helping with what English or not they speak, most of the staff speak good English though. The food is pretty tasty from the few things that we've ordered and drinks are good. Prices of food are about on par with what you'de expect. It's a good atmosphere in the bar/restaurant with traditional woody type German decor and it can get busy because it's one of the only restaurants in the area. We booked the Junior suite this time with its own balcony overlooking the river below, what a view and it's huge! The little town of Ralingen is nice and quiet and people are friendly when we walked around taking a stroll. It's a holiday type area with its holiday looking caravan & camping parks so I bet it's a bit busier in the summer months. The husband and I decided from now on we'll make the drive to Ralingen as our first nights starting point (from Calais' ferry port) when making our way for mainland Europe.
Cons: Only a couple of things that we can't control but the traffic can be a bit of a bother since the road in front of the hotel is a main road with commuters from Luxembourg going back and forth and some drive a bit fast. The second was that my husband ordered the spaghetti bolognese and it was tasteless, like it came out of a tin and too watery. A few things about the room that was a let down was 1) the firmness of the matress, too hard! 2) No trash bins & 3) No coffee or tea making facilities. That's only a few of things but it's a very good place to stay in a beautiful area.
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff was very friendly. The food is what you can expect from a place like this: no frills but very tasty. The view from balcony at the restaurant were lovely.
Cons: The noise from traffic on the street side. Due to the heatwave it was also very hot in the room, and no air conditioning was present.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast and Nice restaurant with terrace with a lovely vieuw on the river, Very friendly staf. Rooms on the Riverside are quiet, but rooms have no airco.
Cons: Rooms have no airco,

Cons: This accommodation is a walk up, room was small and curtain was only lace . So awake at 4.00am with sun coming straight on to bed. Bath window also no full curtain so lack of privacy. A far drive from Trier on very tight roads

Cons: Nothing we can think of at the moment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great, quiet location. Beautiful room, big bathroom with excellent shower. Very good breakfast in a sun filled breakfast room. The restaurant served excellent meals for dinner, delicious, fresh and big serves. Unfortunately they had Ruhetag (closed) the second night, but the waitress, Laura, who was lovely and helpful. suggested a nearby Gasthaus and the food there was also very good. It was a very pleasant stay and we certainly would come back (for both, accommodation AND dinner).
7.9 Good
Pros: Very nice staff and wonderfully breakfast...
Cons: Loose carpets on the floor in the room and decoration pillows on the bed always make me wonder who was on it before. Room was very clean though.

7.9 Good
Pros: It is overall a nice small hotel and restaurant. The price/quality radio is really great. And the schnitzels are just the best. Also the breakfast is nice. It was really comfortable stay for one night during a bike trip.
Cons: No free WiFi, no toiletries. It can be cleaner, I guess.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast had lots of stuff and was great!
Cons: The staff spoke NO English despite advertising this on booking.com. This. was annoying at times especially when he tried to charge us for a room we'd already paid for. I don't know if it was an accident or deliberate but without english the conversation was hard
6.7 Good
Pros: I thought the hotel was good value for money, lovely view over the river, good breakfast, comfy bed and good shower
Cons: The bedroom decor was rather tired, and nothing seemed to match. Nylon sheets weren't pleasant to sleep on, and the smell iof cigarettes and cooking oil seemed to pervade the whole building. The owners were pleasant, but spoke only German.
7.9 Good
Pros: Quite small, but tidy rooms, beautiful view from the window of the room which faces the river, very welcoming owners, we came late at night and were met and given the keys quickly. The breakfast was very nice, and the ice-cream automat impressed our son a lot )
Cons: It was very hot in the room. Also a bit noisy at night in the room which faces the road.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money. Location is really good. Spotlessly clean, comfy bed.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good location close to the Luxembourg border. Simply but very tasty food, you can order the dinner as well.
Cons: The owner´s communication was little bit chilly. The bar was full of cigarettes smoke.

7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was nice, good variety of ham, cheese, and bread. Lovely location in the countryside. Easy and quick check in and check out. Room was enough for a stopover.
Cons: Pillows were not very comfy. Light of the room can be also better. Free wifi not available, which is a minus

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location. The apartment was modern and very clean. It was superb. We should have been told that the balcony was kaput
Cons: The owner was awfully rude. Maybe it was the language barrier. But there was no need to shout out at my son for trying to go out on to the balcony (which we had paid for) because they were having work done to it. Also, considering there was no balcony to use, they wouldn't allow me to park my car on the driveway along with my trailer tent. Just shouting only 1 space and pointing rudely down the road. So my car had to be parked miles away with all my worldly goods in the boot. The driveway was free all evening. In the morning they took the keys and shut the door. Even with the language barrier, anyone understands the thumbs up and ok. Rude woman!
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Garden.
Cons: I completely agree with Kevin´s review. The owner is really awfully rude. It is not the language barrier. Look at several reviews and make your own opinion. Everything was problem. Everything. I don´t want to write a novel - look on the commands on pictures. NEVER EVEN THINK ABOUT THIS PLACE!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The area was perfect for a few days walking.
Cons: All good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean and comfortable appartment with a gorgeous garden. Very good location.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The property is very nice. The property looks just like the photos we saw on booking.com.
Cons: We stayed for a week. It was very nice weather, but late in the afternoon and at night it was still very cold. There was no heating element in the living room (only in the bathroom and sleeping room). In the evening it became very cold in the living room. The day we were leaving was a rainy and cold day, but in the apartment it was suddenly very warm. We think maybe there is floor heating which the owner can turn up from his own residence. There was a very nice garden, but it was situated on a road where cars can drive 100 km per hour. There was only 1,5 role of toiletpaper. When we arrived they said we could ask if anything was not in order. We thought toiletpaper should be delivered by the owner, so we asked for more toiletpaper. The daughter of the owner didn´t give us any, but said to ask her mother. We never heard from her. We think it was to expensive. The price should not only be depended on how it looks and how new it is. For us the central heating, the garden and the toilet paper are issues to say that we didn't get value for money.
