With a stay at Les Lupins in Geishouse, you'll be 7.7 mi (12.3 km) from Le Markstein Ski Resort and 13.4 mi (21.5 km) from Hartmannswillerkopf. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Cosy house, very friendly host, great terrace, fine breakfast.
Cons: Lounging facilities inside the house are not too comfortable. You can't stand in the shower.
Pros: Great location close to the Ballons des Vosges. The view out the window is really nice, the location quiet. There are great hiking tracks at 15-20 min by car (e.g. Markstein, Ventron). The accommodation is really well equipped (i.e. kitchenette, comfortable bed and a sauna!), cleaned and the decoration is warm and cosy. The breakfast is very tasty!
Pros: Greeted by a very friendly owner & her husband. Our room was set up as an apartment with a kitchen/dining/lounge room & separate bedroom. It was very homely, if a bit old fashioned. The bed was comfortable, although the room was very hot overnight. We enjoyed a walk through the village with great views around the Vosges. Breakfast was a delight with everything being home-made. Our host joined us at breakfast & her delightful grandchildren came along too & entertained us.
With a stay at Auberge du Mehrbachel in Saint-Amarin, you'll be in the mountains, and 25.4 mi (40.9 km) from La Bresse-Hohneck and 7 mi (11.3 km) from Grand Ballon. Featured amenities include luggage storage, a safe deposit box at the front desk, and an elevator (lift). Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lunch and dinner was very nice. Nice people running the hotel.
Cons: Breakfast wasn't great.
Pros: A fabulous hotel in a great location. Great view over the valley in the morning with the cow bells tinkling in the backgound. We really enjoyed the food at the restaurant, the chef and his team do an amazing job. Also enjoyed the sauna as a special treat.
Pros: The hotel is hidden up the mountain and hence is in a very quiet area with a fabulous view. It is possible to purchase local produce directly from the family-run farm. The staff are very pleasant and friendly. The rooms are functional and some have a small balcony overlooking the valley. The choice for breakfast is good, although strong-tasting local hams and cheeses are not to everyone's liking. It was pleasant to watch the working dog guide calves down from the field and to see the donkey's and Lama just next to the hotel. I cannot comment on the spa amenities . Everything is nice and clean.
Cons: I was surprised to note that the extra-large double bed comprised of two single matresses placed side-by-side with two single quilts. This was not a problem since the two matresses did not separate. This is not unusual for some part of Europe near Germany, but it would have been appreciated if this had been specified at the time of booking. I had selected this hotel since it had a restaurant, only to find that on the night I booked, the restaurant was closed, so be careful when booking to make sure the restaurant is open. There doesn't seem to be a lot to do in the immediate area unless you are prepared for a very steep walk up the mountain and back, or drive back down to the valley. Fine for 1 night, but could be boring for a longer period. The cold soft-boiled eggs were disgusting at breakfast. It would have been much better to either boil them to order or invest in a boiling machine. The local hams and cheeses were too strong for my liking for breakfast. The wifi connection was terrible - almost non-existent in the room I was allocated. I did not bother to see if it was any better in communal areas. Mobile telephone access was impossible with my operator (SFR). An ideal place to stay if you want to "lose contact" and hence choose such a lovely mountain retreat.
Pros: The restaurant is very good with products from own farm, it doesn't open every day, instead of this the hotel proposed menu for the customers. You can walk in the forest nearby. The calm and silent atmosphere. Very good and new wellness centre (hammam, sauna). Towels for sauna are available in the room.
Cons: Far away from ski resorts
Pros: real farm; real Alsatian hospitality
Pros: breakfast was really nice and also the view is unbeatable! Good location and friendly staff
Cons: nothing in particular, internet could be better
Pros: Very quiet and lovely place, excellent food
Pros: the view
Cons: no beakfast before 8:00 the week-end, the shower in the bath
Pros: nice bedroom with a balcony and beautiful view. excellent food from the farm ! quiet place enough parking space
Pros: Very quiet spot in the middle of the countryside with a very nice spa.

Pros: Very cosy and extremely clean place with minimum facilities. Lovely owners. We will come back!
Pros: Very good bathroom (bath with bubbles). My son really loved it! And we as well off course. Very nice breakfast. Very friendly hosts. Good advice for dinner and wine tasting. Clean and large bedroom. Really would recommend this place.
Cons: Nothing that comes to mind

Pros: Kind service. Very good dinner.
Cons: Small double beds
Pros: Very helpful staff, idyllic location, delicious breakfast, very clean.
Cons: I could hear the people in the next room talking. They were just speaking in a normal voice, but it was quite audible. There was also occasional noise from the plumbing. I must hope that, due to the location and nature of the hotel, it would not attract any rowdy visitors, so noise shouldn’t be a problem most of the time.
Pros: Lots of charm and good food .The location is amazing ,nice view from the room.
Cons: The bathroom is a little bit small
Pros: Great food and friendly staff. Lovely view and very quiet.
Cons: No internet connection in the room we stayed in
Pros: Great view, situated on the top of the hill
Cons: Difficult acces, snow on the road.
Pros: The bed was extra comfortable. The staff were extremey friendly and accommodating. The restaurant menu was excellent and very varied, and the choice of wines was exceptional. Sauna available but I did not use it. It's a perfect place for couples and families, in a very quiet spot.
Cons: Nothing to say.

An array of activities can be enjoyed in the surroundings, including skiing, cycling and hiking. The property offers free parking and Euro Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg Airport is 54 km away.
Pros: Warm welcome by the owner and very good breakfast. Excellent recommendations of restaurants
Pros: The B&B is conveniently located in a quiet corner of Urbés, close to many nice walks in the nature. The place is very nice and clean, the rooms are decorated with a lot of teddy bears, following the owner's passion for teddy bears. The breakfast was perhaps simple in terms of choices but great in terms of quality, with a lot of exquisite home-made jams. I think the great thing about this place is represented by its owners. Fabian and Sebastian are two very nice and helpful people that make you feel like home and are always ready to help you. If you like an informal and friendly place to spend some nights, this is an excellent choice!
Cons: Honestly, I have nothing to complain about.

Pros: Great location for enjoying the Vosges region! Very friendly hosts, they helped us out a lot and were very welcoming. For us , this was the perfect place from which we made several road cycling tours. The hosts offered us to call them whenever we had trouble - this shows how kind people they are. Luckily we didnt have the need to trouble them and enjoyed the region as much as we could.
Pros: Clean room & bathroom. We could have breakfast very early.
Cons: We got small and very hot attic room with no air-conditioning. Really poor breakfast for €5 per person. Communication problem - weak english. Electric fence in the garden with no warning. The owner was offended that we canceled our stay for one more night without apologies.
Set in a renovated farmhouse surrounded by a mature garden, Les Arts Verts offers B&B accommodation in Kruth. Les Arts Verts is equipped with free Wi-Fi and you can visit the owner’s studio with original paintings and engravings. Free private parking is also possible on site and the Lake of Kruth is 1 km from the B&B.
Cons: Owners have an expectation that you eat evening meals with them which is extra cost above advertised cost on booking.com I found that to be a little ackward.
Located in the centre of Thann on the Alsace Wine Route, this hotel features en suite rooms with free WiFi, a terrace and a free private parking. The Train Station is only 200 metres away. Mulhouse is 21 km away and the A36 Motorway’s access is 14 km away.
Pros: Enjoyed staying in the family-run hotel. We were motorcycling in the region and the venue offered great facilities for bikes. Plenty of space to park and secure parking with an electronic gate closed at dusk till morning. Comfortable rooms, close to town. We stayed on a French holiday but still got a fabulous meal only 20 metres from the hotel itself. Breakfast was first class and apart from the typically French buffet we were also offered freshly-cooked eggs. Good value too.
Cons: Only gripe was that the hot water ran out before the two of us had taken a bath on a very hot and tiring day of riding. The shower option (hand-held from the tap) was not so good.
Pros: Perfect place to stay while visiting the area - this is our 2nd time staying here and will stay again!!
Pros: As a cyclist and traveller, my experience was outstanding. The staff was really attentive and caring of both myself and the bike (the latter is really rare). I'm truly impressed. Breakfast was great as I had all I needed to feed me, ahead of a big cycling day. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Plus, there's also a cat living here: incredibly cute!
Cons: Nothing; I really liked the experience and will recommend for travellers on bikes
Pros: Very lovely hotel and the location is great.
Pros: Very good breakfast with quite rich choice and very pleasant breakfast room; the dinner in the hotel/restaurant on the opposite corner was excellent; walking distance to the town-center
Pros: Comfortable family run hotel. Superb breakfast with excellent selection of ingredients
Cons: Nothing in particular although be aware there is slight traffic noise from the nearby main road and railway.
Pros: Friendly staff. Spacious room.
Cons: Quite dated through-out.
Pros: Lovely french breakfast
Cons: No dislikes all good
Pros: Good breakfast. Good motorcycle parking.

When you stay at Logis Hotel Au Floridor in Thann, you'll be 12 minutes by car from Bouleaux Golf Club. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Quite location ,breakfast was good ,restaurant evening meal seamed popular which closed at 9.30 so did not cause any disturbance.
Cons: Small shower with curtain.just not acceptable hotel need to invest in glass shower door .
Cons: The manager/staff was not professional and serviceminded. Luckily we found a wonderful restaurant in the village instead. Will not go back to this hotel.
Pros: Tranquility. Location. Beautiful area, great spot of the earth. Nice family-run little hotel and restaurant. Nothing fancy, nothing breath taking, just a nice place for a night or two stay.
Cons: Nothing. We enjoyed our stay. Lovely little hotel, with parking, in a quite rural area.
Pros: Nice hotel in a beautiful location - really friendly staff and very clean facilities
Pros: I liked the breakfast but the hotel wasn't close to the center. also the rooms echo alot. Personel was great and always helpful, smiling. It would be perfect with a little sound proof coating and a small refrigirator.
Pros: Helped me out when other more expensive hotel lost booking. So pleased I ended up here. Quiet location in forest. Beautiful views, great food, amazing room for the price, very helpful staff.

Featured amenities include multilingual staff, microwave in a common area, and refrigerator in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The friendliness of the family. The mark of a good B&B is feeling at ease and I felt very comfortable here. I was in Alsace to learn more about the French/German fighting in this area during 1914/1915. In particular the bitter fighting on Hartmannswillerkopf. My host Daniel was terrific in helping with advice, computer printouts and maps. The location meant I didn't need to travel far to find what I was looking for. Alsace has so much to offer the traveller. I will certainly be hoping to return in 2019.
Cons: I have no complaints at all.
Pros: One of the places where you can go to disconect from everything. Will go again when I will have the chance and would totally recomend it for families.
Pros: Lovely hosts made the stay

Pros: My wife and I enjoyed the two dinners we had immensely. The service was friendly and professional and the food was outstanding.
Pros: A well run local hotel with a vibrant restaurant which obviously appeals to locals and guests alike. Arriving late, at 9:00 PM, I was relieved to be welcomed and assured I was still in time for a desperately needed meal. A terrific meal it was, served on a beautiful, busy outdoor patio with a festive atmosphere.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Pros: Plenty of parking space. Located in a quiet neighborhood a 5-10 minutes away from the town center.
Cons: The stated check-in hours did not hold true; there was no one present when we arrived in the afternoon.
Pros: Friendly Staff, Very comfortable beds, secure parking. Excellent restaurant. Great location, 10 minute walk from town centre. Nice outside eating area with attractive gardens. Unique character.
Pros: Great location. Walking distance to everything. Good restaurant

Pros: Not a lot
Cons: Outside awful, rooms very dated, brown water, broken shower thermostat. Overall not value, property shabby and not welcoming
Pros: Awesome rooms with very good bathroom, friendly people, good food
Pros: Very lovely "route national" hotel in a quiet, well located town for easy access to the Ballon d'Alsace/Le Markstein winter/hiking areas as well as the Parc Wesserling. Hosts were exceptionally accommodating and the in-hotel restaurant has a great menu packed with local specialities (and generous portions...great after a day in the fresh air. Rooms were tidy, comfortable and a great value. Can't say enough about the general atmosphere...which was very laid back and friendly.
Cons: We liked everything!
A stay at Le Moschenross places you in the heart of Thann, and within a 10-minute drive of Bouleaux Golf Club. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Verry large room and a good breakfast for a very nice price. The parking for the car.
Cons: No bar service or machine to order something, we were there at sunday evening.
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: Next to a busy road
Pros: Located on the outskirts of Thann, Le Moschenross is a very clean hotel - with air conditioning which was a godsend as we were there during a heatwave. The rooms are quite basic but have everything you need and the bed was very comfy. The restaurant is very good, food was delicious and service was excellent
Pros: Good dinner
Cons: My room and all my collegues room (we booked for rooms) were very cold at arrival in the evening (we arrived at 18.30) since the heaters were NOT switched on.
Pros: On the road - easy to find
Cons: The room we had was above a garage in a car park. Our room was that of a tired basic motel - no soaps or tea making facility. We had been expecting a quaint hotel as advertised. If you set your sights on a motel you won’t be disappointed although it is perhaps overpriced. For this reason we did not eat there as the restaurant (untried by us) seemed pricey.
Pros: Great location air conditioning in room, great breakfast short walk in to town
Pros: This is simple hotel. Do not expect extra possobilities, we liked a staff. She helped with charging e-bikes.
Cons: The reception staff was unhelpful. The restaurant was closed, and when asked where we could eat in town the answer was ( a shrug. ) The room was in an out building which smelt damp, the decor was dull and dated and there was no aircon as described on the website.
Pros: The hotel is close to the main road, so not difficult to find. Room was spacious and clean
Pros: Very friendly staff, who managed to understand and speak enough English.
Cons: Room was a little too small for 5 people.
When you stay at Hôtel Du Parc in Thann, you'll be 10 minutes by car from Bouleaux Golf Club. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and laundry facilities. Planning an event in Thann? This hotel features 3153 square feet (293 square meters) of event facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Well the architecture from the outside is nice, and the room is ok. The room was clean, but small.
Cons: Where do I start? 1) supper completely overcharged and no choice (set menu) for about 80 euro +- 2) the menu ... not even my dog would have eaten it 3) reception and owner complete amateurs 4) owner became hysterical when I asked to call for a taxi and she could find one (arranged transport in the end by asking a guest to take me to my supplier) 5) rooms were cold (heating was preset) 6) breakfast 2 sausages on the table, some cold cuts, cheese and bread, nothing to write home about! France .... 7) No tea kettle in the room, for such dime one should expect 8) Liberace interiors 9) still get angry thinking about the owner
Pros: The staff was friendly. The dinner was good. Nice recommendation for vine.
Cons: The bed is too short for a man 1.83, it’s hard not so comfortable. We didn’t have any breakfast, but on invoice breakfast appeared. Four times for two days/pP. After my complaint, the bill was cancelled and we’ve got a new. Thx a lot, but we had 2 coffees that cost € 10.-!!! Sorry, guys, but that's rude. I’m get used on expensive prices but this is not a good behavior. Normally you can expect an excuse for the failure on the invoice. I mean someone didn’t understand a job in Hotels.
Pros: The staff & garden setting
Cons: No lift
Pros: Sitting outside on the terrace of the garden for dinner. Dinner itself was lovely.
Cons: Our third stay at this lovely place. Even better than before! Lovely meal and very helpful staff.
Pros: The meny for dinner was very tastful og the breakfast was OK
Cons: Only one meny for dinner was rather a step back for the previous four times we stayded at the lovely hotel. Before it was mainly the wonderful meny we were longing for to expirience again.
Pros: Bags of character, real delight staying in a hotel like this. Super comfortable bed, & it was very quiet, even with the windows open.
Pros: antique furniture, nice garden, quiet neighborhoud, friendly personnel
Cons: could be cleaner, pool water not fresh, dinner too expensive for quality delivered, premises are not tidy, pretends to be more than it is.
Pros: The location is great and the pool was amazing to cool of after a 7 hour drive from england. I liked the old fashion charm that the hotel had. The hotel has good surroundings with a nice garden.
Cons: Not enough staff- one person to serve dinner, man the bar and run the check in and out. Very slow service at dinner. About 2 hours to order and eat main course. Our room wasn’t very clean, very dusty. We stayed on a very hot night and it was very hot in our room, would of liked a fan. Slow check out due to one person who was serving breakfast.
Pros: Excellent service beyond the call of duty, may I recommend Hotel Du Parc to all who wish the best of service in a delightful setting, with a menu to match. A very positive and memorable experience. Wish we could have stayed more than just one night!
With a half-timbered facade, this hotel is located in Kruth, a small village on the foot of the Hautes Vosges Mountains. It features free Wi-Fi in the public areas, a traditional restaurant and a pétanque field. Each en suite room at Auberge de France includes a TV, a telephone and a safety deposit box. Some of them have a balcony. Guests can enjoy breakfast on the terrace and relax in the shaded garden. Alsatian specialties with a fine selection of wines are served at the restaurant and children’s menus are also proposed. Guests can go fishing on the Lake of Kruth-Wildenstein, which is an 8-minute drive away. Hiking and biking can also be done in the surrounding area. Kruth Train Station is only 300 metres away.
Pros: POSITIVES: It's a 20-minute drive from La Bresse and the drive is beautiful because it takes you up into the mountain before you get there. The hotel was exactly as pictured. The chef spoke perfect English and jumped in to translate whenever needed. The food at the hotel restaurant was very good too. The desserts were delicious and they had a nice selection of tea. The room had a bathtub and enough space for our ski equipment. The fireplace in the restaurant was nice as well. There was parking on the property, with access to the back door, which made it easier to load and unload our luggage. The place was quiet and, for the most part, we slept well. The breakfast is composed of croissants, bread, marmalade, cheese, ham, yogurt, cereal, hot and cold drinks. There is a toaster provided as well, but no eggs, bacon nor sausages and it costs €9 per person. NEGATIVES: The things we didn't like are things that can easily be improved upon, if the owner would truly want to make this hotel a place where people are happy to return to. For example, when we returned from skiing the first evening, we arrived at the end of dinner service and since we had already eaten at the ski resort, we told the hotel manager or owner, that we were only interested in dessert. We were about to sit down at a table for 2 near the fireplace when she told us, "No, if it's just dessert, you have to sit over there." Anyone who cares about their clients, especially guests who are staying for an extended weekend, would have granted us the table of our choice. It was the end of dinner service, so no one else would have been arriving. In fact, no one else did. The following evening, we decided to eat there for dinner. This time we chose the table where she had sat us the evening before and this time she told us "No, this table is for 3 people." That's when the chef walked in and found us a nice table that we liked. We felt he knew how to treat customers properly.
Cons: The waitress who later served us was also very nice. With two large dining areas, there was absolutely no risk of running out of tables whatsoever. It is better to please the customer, especially when you know it would make no difference to the restaurant. The next morning, we chose to have breakfast there, which is a bit pricey for what you get, especially since the cappuccino was disgusting. I had had a croissant and I was still hungry, so I went to get another croissant. I had it in my hand and was walking back to the table when the hotel manager asked me if I had already eaten a croissant. I said yes, why. She said that I could only have one and to put it back, even though I already had it in my hand. Breakfast is €9 per person but you can only have 1 croissant? Really? I feel this woman is a detriment to this hotel. I don't know if she's the owner or manager, but if she wants people to return, she needs to learn how to treat her customers properly. How much does one croissant cost her? How much money has she lost because we will not return? How much money has she lost from other non-returning guests? We felt there is always an underlying penny-pinching quality. For example, when we left the room on Saturday morning to go skiing, we returned to a cold room that had had the heat switched down to low. We turned it up to high, but the heat did not turn on. We tried to call the reception, but no one ever picked up. We lay in bed freezing until it finally kicked in at 6am or so. Had they left the heat on, the room would have been properly heated. Had they left the blinds closed, as we left them, the room would have retained the heat. This place has lots of potential, if only this woman would stop getting in the way of its success. Her staff is wonderful. In fact, perhaps she should retire and let them take over. Everyone else who worked there was superb and made all the difference.
Pros: Beautiful building. Very comfortable.
Pros: The staff was really nice.
Cons: The room and the bathroom were a little bit cold. A little bit noisy.
Pros: Everything about the stay was great. The owners were extremely friendly and made lots of effort to make sure I was happy. The location is perfect for cycling in the region, and is located right at the bottom of one of the climbs up to the Grand Ballon. The area is very quiet and peaceful and has a nice view of the mountains.
Pros: The hospitality and the good food
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Enthusiastic new owners. Good meal.
Pros: Perfect location for walking and cycling. Staff very helpful. Couldn’t ask for more. Lovely food too!
Pros: We were made very welcome by Rakesh and his partner and nothing seemed to much trouble for them. The location is excellent with the main mountain ridges just 15 minutes by car. We would certainly come back here if we get the chance.
Pros: The staff is super friendly, helpful and accommodating. There is a nice fireplace in the dining area and the price is really good.
Pros: Location and friendly host and hostess
Cons: Bedroom was definitely very dated!
