10.0 Excellent
Pros: Antoine & Clary are excellent hosts and their place is stunning. They are incredibly friendly and helpful and clearly love their house and enjoy their guests. The property is really beautiful and incredibly tranquil. There are rabbits, pheasants, geese and even peacocks wandering the grounds and a dove cote with white doves. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. It’s difficult to convey what a superb place it is. The breakfast is fantastic with fresh fruit, juice, lovely breads jams and honey. The eggs are obviously from their hens, fresh and golden yolks. It’s idyllic and there are loads of things to do in the area.
Cons: Nothing, we’ll definitely be staying there again.
10.0 Excellent

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely an amazing place to stay! Beautiful setting and the Chateau was from a Holiwood set. It was regale. The proprietors were gracious, personable and very accommodating.
Cons: The savings over lodgings near the airport was more than offset by the more than 100 euro cost of taxi each way. The chateau is not a restaurant as implied in the on line description and there are no restaurants within a reasonable distance. Quiet, secluded yes. Isolated also.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb, the family who own the place made the stay one to remember. We hope to return
Cons: That we had to leave!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: 30 minutes from the airport and in the country. Old worldly and comfortable with extremely accommodating hosts. A wonderful stay for tired travellers. Good restaurants but need a car to get there.
Cons: A bit of a challenge to find the driveway to it.

Pros: It was a lovely room, velux windows had covers but not the skylights, so light came in when sun got up. The host was lovely as was the breakfast. Enjoyed our one night stay. Compiegne was very interesting, we would like to return.
Cons: The stairs were very steep, and being in a loft with skylights there was no view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The b n b was located in a beautiful avenue in an elegant villa reflecting a rich history. We were warmly greeted by our hostess to our beautifully furnished and well presented room, better than most five star hotels. The accommodation was detached from the owners’ residence. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and extremely clean. Most importantly the bed was very comfortable ensuring a good night’s sleep. The breakfast was also excellent consisting of fresh orange juice, fruit compote, bacon, ham and eggs, accompanied by crusty baguettes and croissants. The property was also close to city centre and tree lined walks. We really would have loved to have stayed much longer. I would highly recommend this property.

Pros: The house was a pearl! Old and very very charming. We had a roof window that was swept softly by the branches of a big tree. Someone would feel this disturbing, but we liked it. The bathroom was spacy and well equipped. Nice garden, big pool.

10.0 Excellent

They carried our suitcases up the spiral staircase to our room and down when we left. The breakfast room is lovely with windows that face the historic city. Pros: The central location made it easy to see the town in the short time we had. Nicola at the front desk was fluent in english and very helpful with directions and ideas about things to do.
Cons: The roads are narrow and parking can be tricky thankfully we arrived on a Saturday evening so parking was free otherwise would have to pay.

Cons: Stairs lovely but a little steep with bags.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host and hostess made our experience the best! They were so helpful and kind, and full of positive energy. You can tell they love what they do and they want you to be comfortable. We will never forget them, and hope to one day, go back. The town of Senlis is magical!
Cons: The bed pillows were a bit "flat", and the noise between rooms was a little bit high, but this was part of the charm of the hotel!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Located at the center of a small charming medieval town, right outside of Paris. Owners are very friendly, breakfast is good. The owners operate a restaurant right next door.
Cons: Only street parking (narrow streets), not allowed to park in front of the hotel on days with farmers market. Old wood floor of the room had a terrible squeak. We arrived in the evening, there was a sign at the door saying not to ring the bell but to call the given cell phone number - we are tourists from the US and didn't have a working cell phone in France (we were able to borrow the phone of a friendly passer-by).

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is lovely and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was great - comfortable bed/pillows and the shower was roomy and hot. There was room for our car in the back car park, but there is also ample parking on the front footpath. The restaurant is exceptional and this is the second time we have dined here (after our first visit 3 years ago we had to come back). Hotel is about a 40 minute drive to CDG airport so makes a good last night stay. Not much in the town itself but Senlis and Chantilly are definitely worth the short drive.

Cons: I do not like carpet in rooms!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is beautiful, on the riverside, very close to town hall and great church. Staff was friendly. The room is not very big but enough. Free parking right in front of the hotel.
Cons: The restaurant inside is quite expensive, but the problem is that there is no other restaurants in the neighborhood. No fridge in the room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was very good in a beautiful small town, and next to an extremely beautiful river. Never been in such a beautiful place for an hotel. Hotel was neat and clean, staff very very friendly, cooperative and helpful. They seem to be owners who care a lot and love their business.
Cons: Maybe it's just me but I was under impression that we're going to have a much richer breakfast. Just sweat pastries and plain cheese and ham slices. Otherwise we would not have pre-paid. Never the less, the items that were served were good and fresh, bread of all kinds ws good. Another point, which is not a complaints just a notice - the stairs are very steep and if you carry heavy luggage, you're going yo have to make an effort
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is your home away from home, you feel like you are welcomed, family atmosphere, very clean and tidy, super delicious food, they gave me the room before the checkin time because my flight arrived early, and the owner ironed my shirt, was so lovely i felt i’m looked after and overall experience is incredible, i’m not a person who is easily pleased but this place blow my mind with how amazing everything else, i had a very pleasant experience ! Thank you so much!
Cons: Absolutely nothing, I don’t usually say this but this was a perfect experience!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was wonderful, staff friendly but challenged on their English! Transport arrangements were great, drivers very helpful.
7.1 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a great location In Chantilly backing on to the grounds of the Chateau. The staff were extremely nice and helpful.
Cons: This is an extremely expensive hotel. The room although it was a superior room was small and the bathroom was tiny. The toiletries provided were very ordinary and very small quantities. My husband and I have stayed at ultra luxe hotels all over the world but this one was exceptionally poor for the price. Rooms at a Novotel are better. The furnishings were of very cheap quality. Whilst the room looked over the Chateau grounds the windows were barred from top to bottom and in order to enter the grounds you have to pay. Only a small bottle of water was provided. The towels were very small. Not what you expect from a hotel that cost nearly £500 per night NOT including breakfast. Plus additional charge of Euro 50 per dog per night! We had two dogs with us. The price of a good hotel.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice place to stay in Chantilly
Cons: Everything was fine but over-priced compared to international standards (this was the case for everything in Chantilly).

Hotel Des Trois Hiboux - Plailly - Building
15
8.7 Excellent (2,171 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel des Trois Hiboux in Plailly, you'll be 2 mi (3.2 km) from Parc Asterix and 10.9 mi (17.6 km) from Castle Pontarme. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
6.7 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly, although the advice we received was not always accurate. It was very close to Parc Asterix and the hotel provided discounted tickets.
Cons: The buffet is overpriced and does not change each day. We had to queue for breakfast and dinner. We turned all heating off but the room was still too hot/stuffy, even though it was very cold outside. Do not recommend this hotel unless you have your own car and can escape elsewhere for dinner. The rooms are VERY noisy-wooden floors mean you will hear your upstairs neighbours every movement.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent, the room cosy and it was perfect for our visit to the Parc Astérix.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for money, the staff was really friendly and helpful and the facilities very neat.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was nice, clean, modern and fun, also quiet and had a lovely balcony. No blockage in the shower or washbasin or toilet, everything worked well. I'm sure we would go back.
Cons: There is no fridge in the apartment and there is no supermarket of any kind nearby so if you are planning to stay overnight you must consider that. I need to eat gluten free so it was not easy like that especially because Asterix Park only offers the usual hotdog, hamburger, type of food.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent proximity to the theme park. Room was well set out for 2 adults and 2 kids. Tickets for the park are available for purchase on the day you wish to visit the park through the hotel reception at a good discount (32 EUR adult or child compared to normal 51 EUR for adult ticket). However we couldn’t purchase fast pass tickets as they had sold out (there was no discount on these from hotel so think about buying these on Internet ahead of time). You could go between park and hotel at Liberty throughout the day. Also they allowed you to enter the park at 10pm on any night you stay in the hotel to watch the fireworks at 10.30pm. There was a security guard circulating around the hotel (and presumably other) parking which was reassuring as we had a lot of luggage left in our car. You get entry to the park at 9.30am whilst the general public get in from 10am. Excellent location for A1 north to cross channel ferries.
Cons: A little difficult to find the hotel as signage was poor - address doesn’t go into sat nav so just follow signs for Parc Asterix. Did not realise there are set meal time sittings. We arrived around 6pm and were only able to have breakfast at 7.30am or 9.30am the next day. Similarly for dinner times on evening of arrival (7pm or 9pm). Best to call ahead and book the sittings you want. We had the set menu the first night and the food was pretty bad - all dishes appeared to be microwaved in a glass bowl (bowl hot to touch but food wasn’t warmed through). The waitress that evening seemed both clueless and run off her feet, forgetting our wine order etc. The next evening we had the buffet which was by far superior and they provided a birthday cake for my 10 year old (free if it’s on the actual birthday but you have to pay if not). Breakfast was not included in the room rate which I didn’t realise and it was Expensive! 16 EUR for an adult (our 13 yr old considered an adult!) and 9 EUR for a child ... over 100 Eur for breakfast on two days!!
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Chantily
Cons: Staff
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Visiting and have dinner at Chantily amazing city
Cons: Bad staff, dont speak english, didnt made any efforts go explain the park or the hotel, only worried about getting the city tax (?), we had tk ask everything to them, breakfast dinner tickets maps, pictures with characthers etc Although they advertise having a park for children inside the hotel, thry dont. The dinner buffet was good, apart from staff, be carefull all the drinks are out of the expensive menu... Hotel beds are awfull make lots of noise kids didnt sleep, rooms too hot hard to regulate temperature. No freezer available at room. 1 bathroom in a smal room for 4 people They had canceled one day of our pre booked and paid reservation on booking had to redoo the reserve, there was no previous comunication from the hotel staff regarding these, could have went really bad... Nothing to do nearby the hotel.

Pros: Charming, historic, hotel in a beautiful park setting in the countryside. Excellent dining room. A variety of recreational activities were available even though we didn’t take advantage preferring to rest. It would be a good place for families as well as a romantic retreat for couples.
Cons: The rooms were spacious but decorated simply which suited us but others might have higher expectations.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful stay at this lovely hotel overlooking huge garden and trees. The pool and air conditioning was a delight on the extremely hot weekend as were the comfortable beds and quiet.
Cons: The dinner was excellent but the serving size of a glass of wine was tiny and almost an insult.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice location, nice park, beautiful castle. Food of good quality.
Cons: Rooms were a bit outdated, do not fit into the ‘castle’ environment, more motel like. The evening we had dinner the service was rather chaotic. Food prices rather high.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location is in a very pretty village of Ermenonville, not far from the main motorway to Paris. The hotel is run in conjunction with the Tea Shop across the street. They are both wonderfully quaint. Relaxed atmosphere. Charming hosts who speak very good English. Excellent resturaunts in the area and the local Chateau is worth a visit and plenty of great walking and cycling.
Cons: Nothing for me.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent - bread in the morning was wonderful and from a local bakery. I'm not much of an eater at breakfast time so for me the simple bread and jam spread, with tea was ideal. If you prefer something more substantial it might be less so.
Cons: No AC so it got hot during the night. Didn't really have bathroom products so glad I brought my own.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very charming and romantic spot in a quaint and authentic village. The service was excellent and very friendly, the rooms intimate and made with a distinct style. All necessary facilities were available with access to a kitchenette and a lovely garden for your afternoon tea or breakfast (or just lounging in the afternoon). The village was quiet, but with an almost stereotype french rural feel. We enjoyed it immensely.
Cons: Our only "criticism" has to be that the rooms are not very sound proof so you'll notice that there are others present as well. It did not detract from the overall impression of the place. The bed was a tad hard, but that is nitpicking (and up to personal preference I guess).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Quaint easy to find nice restaurant nearby
Cons: Beds a little small and firm - just my taste I guess

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall experience was very good . Staff very considerate especially towards my disabled wife.
Cons: Not staying longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The main reason to go to Pierrefonds is to see the beautiful castle. My room was quite small which was fine for a single.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room with view of the castle. Nice restaurant for the dinner and the breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect village location, right in the center, on a five minute walk from the castle.
Cons: The building is quite old and the walls and floors are a bit thin, so you can hear your neighbors. Also the church bells (or town hall bells?) are pretty loud and start early in the morning. But if you’re not a light sleeper this just adds to the quaint and charming atmosphere of the location.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in the center of the village near the castle. The rooms are very clear and nice. Very calm to rest. The restaurant is VERY NICE and the price its ok. Near the castle and some shops (not so much)
Cons: The hotel, outside of the rooms, its a bit old. The wifi is not good. But its small things. I liked a lot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved every minute here! Lovely staff, amazing food and excellent location would highly recommend and will be booking again! We had a family room with a fabulous view and my daughters loved it and everyone made us feel very welcome in the hotel and around the town. Thank you for making our holiday special.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Great location
Cons: 1. Though the room looks clean, but then you see lot of dust everywhere. No wet clean was done. 2. They ignore "do not disturb" sign. 3. No towels in the room. They brought them an hour (!) after I asked. Could nor take a shower.

Cons: None
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were exceptional, very friendly, always helpful, and spoke English! The room was immaculate with a beautiful view over the River Oise. The hotel was located centrally within the town with some really good bistros within easy walking distance. Breakfast was a delight.
Cons: Not a criticism, but finding the hotel and the Rue de Harley took a bit of time!! To help other visitors, just go over the bridge and turn right and the hotel is on the left facing the river Oise, with the Hotel De Farley on the facia - we had been asking for the Cititel Hotel!!
