Great breakfast, very helpful staff.
Rooms a step away from the sea and very well cleaned The most smiling staff we have ever met in a hotel.
the location The price for lunch was far to high for what we did receive.
Amazing Hotel at the suburban of Chania in a great location at seaside with great surrounding pools everywhere almost in frond of every room !!! Parking in big parking area in frond of the hotel. Our room and bathroom was very clean and in a good size. Really polite stuff and good quality service. Good value for money.
terrible very expensive for what they offer
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool and pool/bar/restaurant terrace areas were lovely. Breakfast was good (although could do with more variety of fresh fruit). Rooms were large, clean and adequate (although the little kitchen could do with a kettle and maybe a microwave). Nice balcony and we had a lovely view of the sea. The hotel advertises that it has a gym (there's even a photo in their glossy brochure) but this is very misleading. The "gym" consisted of about 5 pieces of very old delapidated equipment - most of which didn't work.
Very good hotel with a very good price, highly recommended! A lot of mosquitos, i don't know if they can do anything with that!
Hotel staff was nice and helpful, room was nice, quiet and clean. We certainly enjoyed our stay.
Friendly hotel with great service. Quiet location yet still convenient to road network. No fresh orange juice at breakfast
Value for money, clean. I would recommend this hotel if you want a place to stay in western Crete and want to visit the Chania area (very beautiful places around). We didn't like the fact that when we arrived there was nobody to help us take the luggage to the rooms and there was no elevator.
I liked its position, the view from the balcony The kitchen was scarcely equipped; at a rate of more than 80 euros per night one expects to be shown the room, to be explained how things work, etc.. but they simply took us to the room and bye; the fridge was disconnected when we arrived; they offered a free wifi access to customers with a laptop but there was no pc available to the public, which is strange since nowadays all hotels provide this service
Everything, especially the staff. Rose, our waitress, was absolutely wonderful. We can't wait to go back! The beds were a little uncomfortable, but this wouldn't deter me from going there again.
For a a start, the name Balos Beach Hotel should not be applied to this hotel as it is located around 7 km from the famous beach (very misleading). No point of going there if you don't have a car. The road to the beach is a perilous dirt track on the cliff. The hotel did not offer food but it had a beautiful menu in the room. Breakfast which was not an option on Booking.com was offered to us for £7.00 after the lady said she had only toast. The nearest village Kaliviani is 1km away with 1 tavern and lots of dogs and the nearest supermarket 5km away. 3stars???? The owner did not want to refund us the last night as we wanted to leave one day earlier, saying Booking.com would not allow it in their contract. It's a no go for me..
Daily room cleaning, special decoration in the room, variety of foods served, nice view, closeness to the sea. It's not convenient the daily program of breakfast serving. It's impossible to get up too early to get your breakfast, while on vacation. Most hotels extend this service till 10:30am and not 9:30!! At Chrispy, all visitors were used to get up at about 9 o'clock to be in time for breakfast and that caused an unbelievable "traffic" in the restaurant, noise and obvious stress to the staff.
The hotel is very beautiful & clean. The view from the hotel is good & its just 10 steps away from a beautiful sandy beach. The staff is very nice & helpful.Wide variety of buffet.I Highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Its bear to the airport.Rooms are very spacious & very clean. This is the best place to stay in crete!!!!!
good facilities, nice friendly staff breakfast was the same every day. expensive internet
The general family atmosphere for the hotel , the pool was fantastic and well organized .. The food was not so good both breakfast and dinner. The lady staff were so at all friendly.. The room that we stayed in had a broken toilet but we didnt report since we were there for a short time , and very untidy rooms..
I booked a room with a private pool which has fantastic The personnel is uneducated and there almost no services. The food is terrible do not book a package that will include food it is better to select a Bed and Breakfast package.
Nice rooms, good food guality, nice poolarea. Cleaning not perfect, towels and garbage not taken care of daily. Some of activities/eguipment not included (fairly expensive) in the price, for example tennis, air-conditioning, etc.
nice room, and all instalations staff
the training of the staff and the overall organization
the climitazion may be better
The hotel is located close to the port. We wanted to take a trip to Gramvousa - hotel booked it for us. On emptying the bath we flooded the bathroom! Need to look at floor levels to help drainage or use a different slower emptying bath plug
The staff was great! Extremely helpful and nice. The pictures online are a little misleading which happens a lot, but they really make you think you are getting more for your money than you really are.
Swimming pool Check-in: We were not expected on their planning!! Noise : Hermes hotel is on the main road. Environment : very poor, no flower, plastic grass near the pool, no tree!!
The hotel is good for visiting the beach around (elafonissi, balos, falassarna) The staff is not good and speak no english
The staff were very kind. The breakfast was very poor.
Clean Building is not nice. Location is not very nice, although good base to visit Gramvousa, Balos.
It was very quite and the location was idea for seeing the sights. The pool was very nice and well maintained. The staff was helpful and professional. The buffet breakfast was a bit lacking and they advertised internet throughout the entire building, which was not the case.
We will always stay at the Kissamos Hotel when visiting Kastelli Kissamou. It's elegant without being pretentious and is run by two charming brothers. It's situated in the main street of this very nice ordinary Greek working town - not too touristy, which suits us fine - but it's only a short walk to the sea and it has a nice swimming pool. Excellent and reasonably priced. Absolutely nothing.
It was very handy for a late-night arrival by ferry- quite close to the port. Its also not far to walk to the bus station. Very nice atmosphere and pool area. Very helpful and freindly staff. spotlessly clean, largish bathroom. the only point I can fault it on is not accepting credit cards
The newly renovated bathrooms were great and made the 70s era decor of the main room all the more charming. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the bakery 2 blocks away was fantastic - Go there!!
Good staff. Quiet and well-heated.Everything is within walking distance. A bit too pricy for a stay during February in a Cretan hotel in a small town.
The staff service was excellent
The courtesy of the satff, nice view on the pool in the inside garden; good breakfast. very clean room and great bathroom The location is easy to find on the main road, but a bit far form the seaside and center of kissamos
Hotel was so clean and smart we thought it was brand new. In fact it is 30+ years old! Family were friendly, polite, spoke good English and clearly worked very hard. Not really, but I think grandad (a lovely man) should probably now hand over all reception work to the next generation and enjoy his retirement.
Good location for beach and waterfront tavernas. Friendly staff and great little pool. Nice relaxed atmosphere.
Great hotel in excellent location. Very friendly staff helped us organise an excursion to the nearby Balos lagoon. Room clean and tidy. Superb bar and pool facilities. 5-10 mins walk into Kissamos town centre and beach.
Nice location away from the hustle and bustle but with easy access to the main road and the resorts along the coast. Yiannis was helpful and friendly and there was nothing too much trouble for him.
The owners, Jannis & Dimetris, were very welcoming and helpful when needed. The apartments are centrally located and have adequate closet space, TV, kitchenette, and balcony. It is only about 75 yards to two very good restaurants. There is a car hire office and day tours office about 300 yards away on the main road. Two small markets are within walking distance for water, food, etc.. The directions for getting to the apartments are useless. Your map shows the apartments in Pano Kamissiana, when they are in fact 50 yards off the main Tavronitas, Kamissiana, Kolymbari road. Your directions would never find the place. To your credit, Google shows the apartments in the same place.
it was beautiful, the apartments were amazing for the prices!! its a family business and it shows, the services was wonderfull!! very clean , very good breackfeast, very close to the city...i would go back there 100 %
- Excellent breakfast, extremely good value for money, spacious room with all needed facilities, friendly service; - Отменные завтраки, великолепное соотношение цена - качество, просторный номер со всем необходимым, дружелюбный прием; Mainio aamiainen tarjoilu suoran poydälle, erinomainen hinta - laatu suhde, tilava huoneisto jossa on kaikki tarvittava, ystävällinen palvelu -
We had an amazing time at Irinoula Dreams. The owners were kind and always did more for than what we expected. The area was quiet and close to everything (even the beach). The rooms were clean and new and comfortable. The hotel was close to almost everything (if you are staying in Chania). Our breakfast was always ready for us in the morning....freshly squeezed juice and fresh traditionnal Cretan products....yum!!! It was just awsome...just like staying at home. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you Gianni for everything!!!
The hotel is very well located to visit Chania region that have wonderful beaches. Excellent breakfast and kindness of the staff. Difficult to find if arriving at night because the sign is not so visible from the main street.
Quiet and close to the beach with a sea view from the studio Being mothballed for winter so no facilitiies
Quiet place near the beach, perfect for the relaxation. The host is very friendly, and all hotel has amicable atmosphere.
the pool far from the village (by foot)
Everybody was really nice. They clean the rooms everyday. Simple but well preserved furniture. The sheets were superclean and the beds a bit hard but comfortable. Fridge on the room, AC not included on the price. The breakfast was great and you can have it next to the amazing and clean pool. Quiet rooms. Easy to find from the main road of Kissamos, for us was the perfect spot to investigate the West coast with a car. If you don't have a car this is not your place unless you plan to stay here or around Kissamos. Tje restaurant wasn't very cheap.
Friendly owners! Simple but nice breakfast served next to the pool in open space. Nice pool and very quiet beach with free beds and parasols. Rooms/terrace are spacy and recently build. For us the location was very good because the hotel is situated at the countryside (quiet/nature), but if you want to go to Kissamos town you need to be motorised because the road is not adapted for pedestrians, a taxi could bring solution here. We havn't got any complains but it would be nice if the towels would be changed e.g. every 3 days.
If you look for the luxury, the apartments Mediterraneans don't do for you. The Mediterraneans apartments have the main point instead, together with the cleaning, to the climate, and above all to the gentleness of the Sig. Dimitri, of his wife and of the waiters.
The Galini Beach hotel was superb! We were very fortunate to get the best room in the hotel (I think it was Room 225?) with fabulous views out over the sea (from our large balcony both to the back and to the side). The hotel is very peaceful, and drifting off to sleep with nothing but the sound of the waves lapping onto the shore was perfect. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the excellent breakfasts well worth the 5 euro charge. There is also plenty of parking. Overall an absolute bargain! Thoroughly recommended.
very quiet peaceful atmosphere, individual treatment to every guest, hospitality, arrangement of various interesting trips within Crete tasty but unvaried breakfast
Excellent cleanliness. Exquisite and personalized treatment, very friendly owners.
Owner and son very helpful, some rooms more spacious than others, nice views from west facing rooms.
this hotel is true value for money. Helpful staff, really nice breakfast by the sea, clean rooms, seaview from any balcony. And the most important for us was it's position within quite short distance to discover balos, falassarna and elafonisi beaches. to change the beds, they are comfortable for people shorter than 185cm))) to improve wi-fi coverage
We were very warmly welcomed by Manolis and family on arrival, and a request for an upper floor room was met. We had an L-shaped corner balcony with lovely views of the sea/mountains. Our room was spotless, and well-equipped with aircon, hotplate and large fridge. We always had hot water, regardless of the time of day. The lift is a bonus for taking luggage up and down, and for anyone with mobility difficulties. The breakfast was very good value at 6 euros, and consisted of fresh bread, fruits and juice, tea/coffee, yogurt, omlettes, cheese, ham and cake! The hotel overlook the beach and you can go to sleep to the sound of the waves...very relaxing. Overall, a fantastic, relaxing and hospitable stay - there are many return visitors. There was nothing to dislike at all in our opinion.
the hospitality and kindness of the owner. Excellent breakfast, worth the 6 euros paid for it. no shower curtains in the bathroom
Perfect for those who like to sleep listening to the sound of the sea!The hotel is literally on the beach..The rooms are very clean and the service excellent! The owners are very friendly, ready to give any piece of advice for "must" places to visit and good cretan food!
It is a remote vacation area with rugged mountains located on a large bay of the Med in western Crete. Beautiful area. Owner is wonderful. Beds are a bit hard.
Very warm welcome with glass of orange and cake before being shown to room. Superb breakfast on patio overlooking beach. Side sea view from room balcony, and communal balcony with full sea view.Useful facilities in room with hotplates, fridge and sink. Generally quiet, relaxing, friendly.
- the hotel needs a bit of refreshment, things are getting old there. - the hotel didn't include breakfest
Beautiful view, kindness of the owner and of Mrs. Maria none
I had the most relaxing and amazing time at the apartment which is excellently located by the little port from where our family went to gramvousa, balos lagoon, the most stunning beach I've ever been. nice relaxing, quiet and friendly staff, the owner mr. manolis even gave us some Cretan food to try! The cleaning lady didn't take the tip we left for her on the bed because she thought we dropped it by accident. Most pleasant stay ever. Definetly will return. Nothing at all.
The complex of apartments and rooms is located on a hill, surrounded by flowers and trees. We had a top floor apartment with a balcony overlooking the sea and Gramvousa island. The kitchenett was fully equipped, so we had two wonderful homemade dinners on our balcony. The owner welcomes us warmly and assisted us in many ways during our stay. The apartment was spacious, clean. The washroom a bit old but functional. The AC was perfect but not necessary since we had a nice wind blowing in every night from the sea.
Nice panorama.Good place for relax.Nice lemon trees in the garden. Nice flowers on the balcony. Cool rooms. Small insects could come in to the bathroom through the window.
Beautiful views from the terrace and balcony; silence; a small beach nearby. The hotel looks like a green oasis among adust hills. Sufficient distance to a comfortable beach. Access to Internet is not available.
The place has seem better times, and there is only one eldrly owner around the place .Plus the cleaning lady. But there were no other guests and, at night, the garden was quite fascinating from our balcony. Like being invited in a somewhat unkept old villa. I think that the answer in the box before replies also tho this question. Although I clicked by mistake on the relevant item, I did not read any guest review
The apartment was confortable and it had a wonderfull view on kastelli sea furthermore it had a fantastic balcony in which you can make very romantic dinners. The structure is old as well as the internals of the apartment.
nothing I repared the toilet, the sunscreen made a lot of noice, the aircondinioning made a lot of noice during the night ...
Very lovely staff. Felt like at home since I entered the hotel. Room was big and clean, so cheap for the location and room. Not a luxury hotel, I was not looking for that, but i was travelling alone (girl) and I felt safe and comfortable. They talked to me and invited me to a welcome drink, which was nice because I was by myself. Lovely.
Bikakis Family Apartments is in the center of Kissamos. The room was tidy and had tv, fridge, fan and shower. The old lady (propably the owner) was very friendly. There was no remote control for the aircondition. So we used a small fan which was available in the room.In addition to this, when we arrived at the apartment (at 13:00) they told us that the previous customer hasn't left the room yet, and we had to wait until 15:00 in the noon.
