Pros: Hugo is very friendly and the rooms and breakfast are excellent.
Cons: Steep stairs to the attic but it was worth the climb !
Pros: Great welcome by Hugo and lovely place. I love the property and its facilities. Will stay again.
Pros: Hugo was an excellent host, he made sure that we had great time. Nicely kept back garden. The house is unique, it was an architect's own house. Nice breakfast.
Cons: Nothing major but air ventilation is not properly sorted and it hard to get up on the tiny stairs with luggages. But as I said nothing major.
Pros: wonderful host - very welcoming - we could borrow the bicycles - gives interesting tips for restaurants & cycling routes - maps available - very good breakfast - spacious rooms - quality products.
Pros: The breakfast was superb
Cons: The room needs airco or fan because its was sunny which makes the room a bit hot. But because the window and ventilation was good it was not much of a problem
Pros: The room was so cosy, I loved the bench by the window, a different place from the bed to read, work or watch TV, unusual in most of the places. The owner is super kind and helpful, he booked a taxi for me and offered to stay longer at the beautiful garden having a tea. I will definitely come back when I am around Turnhout!
Cons: Located in a residential area so there are not many services around, although the center and the station are less than 2km (5 min driving) away.
Pros: Architects house tastefully updated and transformed in keeping with original intent. Great rooms. Nice host.
Pros: Room very spacious, modern and well laid out. Comfortable bed. Great breakfast. Very friendly welcome and a helpful host who provided tips on local restaurants and traveling times.

The owners can make restaurant reservations or schedule beauty treatments at the nearby beauty salon.
Pros: Everything. Best breakfast ever. Gorgeous decoration and attention to detail. Also, super friendly and helpful owner! Highly recommend.
Pros: Modern, clean and very large room. The bed was the most comfortable of the dozen or so places we have stayed in Belgium and comparable to what you'd find in high end hotels. Peaceful and quiet as the rooms are situated off the road, with windows facing a hobby farm and pasture. Excellent breakfast with gluten free options. Less than km from the Flanders cycle route. A first class establishment.
Pros: Cosiness, friendliness and professionalism
Pros: Beautifully presented, comfortable and a wonderful breakfast.
Pros: The place is a very modern and well designed farmer house. The room was very large with a great view and exit to the garden. Our hostess was super friendly and welcoming. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. Also De Hessie is the great place to stay with children. There is a big childrens corner inside. Overall our experience was perfect. We are looking forward to come back!
Pros: Alles was tip top inorde!
Pros: Comfortable and spacious room in a beautiful environment. Fields and meadows right outside the room.

Cons: Nothing not to like
Pros: Great, very comfortable and slightly quirky B&B, done with a lot of love. Very friendly owner who served the absolutely best breakfast I have seen in a very long time. Even had a children's playground opposite.
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic. An amazing spread and they were very kind to the children
Cons: The balcony room was tricky the stairs too risky for young children also the double bed wasn’t comfortable as it sloped. We would stay again if we were in the area but in another room
Pros: Real nice room with good amenices, nice and large bathroom, good bed, fridge with drinks, free coffee/tea in the room, good breakfast and located far away from city noise and a stone's throw away from the highway. And I forgot, very nice attention from the owners.
Cons: Only staying there one night but no doubt I'll stay there again when having a gig or festival nearby.

Pros: Great place and super services. Bonus: the chocolates are super!
Pros: Room design. Bed is ready. Breakfast. Friendly owner. Quiet.

Pros: The attention, care and hospitality of the owner!
Cons: Nothing, it's a perfect place!
Pros: Everything was perfect!
Pros: Warm atmosphere of '30. Flemish specialties was great - everyone should try chocolate cheese. Chris is Espresso World Champion also. I'm not a coffee-milk mix lover, but I met other guests (including locals) who have been in heaven, sipping Bon-Bon cappuccino. Thank you Chris!

Pros: Amazing location, in the pine forrest.
Pros: We liked a lot the natural lake with the fish and the comfortable deckchairs, the quietness of the neighbourhood and the forest, the great breakfast and that we could take out our left-overs for a picnic and we loved the warm, warm smile of our host!
Cons: the stairs to the loft for the kids' room where quite steep.
Pros: Great experience, very nice host, nice breakfast, nice place. I can only recommend.
Pros: Extremely friendly owners, went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. Knowing that we had gone to a festival, we were allowed to check in early and use the facilities. Breakfast was good. The natural swimming pool was welcomed in the heat. Would recommend.
Cons: Only shortcoming was a lack of fans in the rooms given the temperature during the day and night.
Pros: We had read so many great reviews about Wepa-Hof and we were not disappointed. The room was as expected, with a lovely view to the garden and pool. The breakfast was ample, and we were encouraged to take with us what we could not eat. The inclusion of both still and sparkling water and Belgian chocolates each day was a nice touch. We stayed for an extended period and we were offered a laundry service at a very reasonable price. The hosts Chris and Luc go above and beyond to make their guests comfortable and I would highly recommend their property.
Cons: There is no air conditioning, which usually would not be a problem except that we stayed during the hottest days ever recorded in Belgium! However pedestal fans were promptly provided for relief.

Cons: A minibar to test your temptation for wine, beer or soda (1-0 to the minibar, ha ha). Surprisingly busy street. Not the best soundproofing, so for next time I will bring my ear plugs for the sleeping.
Pros: Nice hosts, good breakfast, nice and spacious room.
Cons: Somewhat over priced for the location.

Pros: The food in the restaurant is excellent
Pros: Breakfast has been prepared follow my request, was exellent. If in the future will be possible to get fried eggs than will be even better.
Pros: Beautiful environment, comfortable and well equipped. The hosts had an excellent attention to detail and were very friendly and helpful
Pros: The room is very clean and stilish. The bathroom is spacious. The bed is comfortable. To note the room we stayed (mezzanine) is not very big. But it did not bother me. Pros: very nice host, everything is good. Really a nice place
Pros: Very clean
Cons: Hard to find the entrance at night - an outdoor light and indication to find the door of Chocolat would have helped. I wasn't sure if I was entering in the house of Caramel.
Pros: Surprisingly upscaled
Cons: The walls do not provide complete sound isolation between rooms
Pros: The property is lovely. There's clearly been a lot of effort put into the rooms, they're modern and spacious. And Nathalie the host is wonderful - very welcoming. The breakfast was lovely - served on the patio outside of one of the rooms. And I slept very well - it's a very peaceful place.
Cons: We were a little far from any sort of town centre so we decided to shop and eat at the property. This was fine but there was no oven in the kitchen area so it sort of limited what we could do. To be honest though - it was so peaceful sitting outside and enjoying food and a bottle of wine we forgot about the oven quickly.

We didn’t book use of the jacuzzi but can imagine you have to pay separately for it, it’s huge. The location is a surprise and easy walk to the heart of Turnhout. In all, a hidden gem that we highly recommend. Much more fun than a standard hotel room.
Cons: Could not find anything wrong.
Pros: The property is very private, has a well stocked kitchen/fridge, good double bed, jacuzzi, rain-shower, tv with netflix and is quite fun to stay at due to some pop-culture items. Pros: Very good bar with nice food and snooker opened till lat hours.

Cons: room was dated with wallpaper falling down. Quite noisy in the night
Pros: the wine in the room is included in the price. The lady who was on duty in the morning was very friendly.
Cons: The lady at the check-in did not speak Dutch. The breakfast has a low quality and the croissant basket was not refilled. It is not the level of a Best Western that we are used to have. Price quality is not balanced. A lower price for this hotel would create less expectations.

Cons: There was no AC fan
Cons: No heating or hot water for the whole stay. I won’t be coming back
Cons: Reception / Welcome. Hotel interior design.
Pros: Location was great for where I needed to be. Cheap.
Cons: Room was noisy with the window open, as there was a generator noise just outside which was there every 15mins or so. With the window closed the room was very hot. The bed has seen better days too. The mattress had a dent in it.
Pros: Central location
Cons: Tiny faulty bathroom, my legs had to be outside the toilet to use it, must be the smallest bathroom I ever saw. Poor cleaning service... I had to ask for towels and toilet paper
With a stay at Priorij Corsendonk in Oud-Turnhout, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Architect Jozef Schellekens's House and Retie Church. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautiful setting and buildings. Nicely renovated. Comfortable room and clean. Very quiet - although the hotel seems quite empty given the time of the year.
Cons: I arrived at 19.00 as I had informed the staff previously. It was raining hard and cold, and the staff had already left (Friday night), but the key code did not work, nor did anyone pick up the phone as per instructions. Only after calling several times on the external line (from my phone) was my call answered. However, the person on the line was not familiar with the location nor of the system for checking in, and therefore I was only able to gain access to my room key with the help of another couple who had been at the hotel before. The room was very nice, but not the best for dogs - access via a narrow spiral staircase (dogs had to be carried). To be fair, it turned out I had been allocated the wrong room. No doubt wonderful in the summer, and superb for weddings and family holidays, but not ideal for an overnight stay on a cold and wet night.
Pros: Ambience is great
Cons: A bit expensive, beware of extras.
Pros: Beautifuö location, nice staff, good food. Green environment
Cons: The rooms are not very nice. Thrre was a big stain on my carpet. The fire alarm went off at 1.15 in the night.
Pros: Very nice surroundings and quiet
Cons: It was not possible to eat something when I arrived at 20h
Pros: The breakfast was very good. Plenty of free parking space. The place is amazing, buildings are amazing with a lot of charm and history.
Cons: The unpleasant smell of the room was quite strong. It was clean but this hotel needs a bit of renovation.
Pros: Lots of space in the room; good bed; very quiet outside; nice park to take a walk.
Cons: internet access only in main building, not in the room; hotel invoice not correct and I forgot to check it.
Pros: We liked the location and the fact that it had once been a monastery. The grounds were very peaceful and contained some beautiful trees.
Cons: there did not appear to be a way to lock the outer door of the building we were in.
Pros: Big, very clean room, spacious bathroom, friendly staff at reception desk.
Cons: Restaurant offers low value for money and unexperienced staff.
Pros: Friendly staff and a nice feel to the place.
Cons: Not many guests so hotel restaurant and local bar/restaurant was closed.
Pros: nature, snow, snow, snow, snow!
Cons: the room was a little cold at night, not easy to find the warm button! and is was at this time we find that the "doors" next to the windows were not well-closed!
Cons: No restaurant on Sunday night and no receptionist (to be fair they did telephone to warn me)
Pros: Comfortable rooms and silent location.
Cons: Procedure for late arrivals (after 22h00) not very clear.
Pros: The grounds and historic buildings were very beautiful.
Cons: It's pretty remote and we we're able to stay in any of the old buildings. Our room was very modern with no charm - a shame since the rest of the complex is so beautiful.
Pros: The quiet, private location.
Cons: Restaurant was not available unless you requested it in advance - but since we couldnt read the website...
Pros: The place of hotel is nice.
Cons: The room is very simple.
