Pros: Amazingly secluded and delightful property only a few yards from the main square in Richelieu. Friendly, comfortable and great value.
Pros: The host was very nice trying to satisfy us. The beds are very large and comfortable. We were just 3 persons but you can sleep like 4 persons in one large family bed and 2 others for 1 person each. There is a garden and a very clean room.
Cons: I can't remember. Being a 3* location there is just a bedroom apartments. No fridge. No kitchen. But it was assumed.

Pros: Completely unique and beautiful property - our host Catherine was exceptionally accommodating.
Pros: Beautiful old bed and breakfast with very friendly, helpful and knowledgble host. Many antiques and beautiful decoration.
Cons: Breakfast could have used some yogurt or fruit, or cheese or anything other than bread!
Pros: Richelieu is an extraordinary little "model city" built by Cardinal Richelieu in the 1630s, and now a conserved 'heritage' town. It's a very convenient location en route Calais to Normandy to Dordogne and south. The town is very quiet, with a couple of 'OK' restaurants and a bar on the square. It's an ideal base for visiting nearby Champigny-sur-Veude with its wonderful Saint Chapelle ("one of the gems of France"), and other nearby chateaux. Le Ragois is one of the original large courtyard houses on the best street. With its wonderful period furnishings, art and photos on the walls, its like stepping back a century or more; very atmospheric. Catherine the hostess is a wonderful character, exceptionally friendly and welcoming, happy to try her English and smile at your French, and she offers a good breakfast. The bedroom was large and very comfortable, the bathroom very large with all mod-cons. A unique B&B you'll never forget!
Pros: An excellent overall experience. Madame Katrine makes the stay extra special. Everything was perfect!

Cons: Nothing But It was only for one night!
Pros: The location is ideal for enjoying all aspects of the town and park. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is nicely laid out, varied and copious.
Cons: Although the room was pleasant and comfortable, the bathroom needs some serious attention, in particular the shower where a line of black mould at the bottom of the tray was rather off-putting.
Pros: Staff greeting. Location, and general ambiance. It is a gem of a secret.
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like. This is our 6th time of staying at this lovely ** hotel. The food in the restaurant we lovely as usual. Going back on the way home in April 2020

Pros: Very friendly staff
Pros: Position in an interesting town.
Cons: We did not think it was particularly good for older people as the stairs were steep and narrow and there was no lift. We were concerned about fire escape facilities.
Pros: Not much---room was cheap and poorly appointed; bathroom was lacking soap & shower; bed was hard; stuffyw/ little air. It was funky but staff was accomodating and pleasant.
Pros: Very little
Cons: Room was very small at top of hotel. We were not informed that hotel had no lift. Dogs in breakfast room allowed to roam freely

Cons: Not a lot in the immediate area, although restaurants available a short drive away.
Pros: Friendly staff Spacious room with a personal touch Building next to a castle Family-like atmosphere during breakfast
Cons: Mattrases were a bit too soft for us. The room smelled a bit musty, probably because it is an old building We had to wait a while (15 minutes) for the owner to arrive at the building to show us in We missed a bigger table/desk in the room to work/sit at

Pros: Location and grounds
Pros: Very quite place good location good size rooms
Cons: Bed was small
