we went to a friend's party the room smelled funny - but we got used to it quickly
Staff was excellent and breakfast was good. Hotel is so nice and it is at the center of the town. No bad impression.
very helpful staff, very clean room and bathroom parking can be a little bit difficult if arriving during shopping hours.
Enough space and clean room. Not really
staff were friendly, room was amazing very modern.
Good clean modern interior with LCD TV. Small room. The room should be better insulated. Noise from the street is too loud and unacceptable!
The hotel was very clean, the rooms perfect. Value for money. We can and will recommend this hotel to friends.
availability of restaurants and other facilities, also good size room lack of parking facilities
Good hotel for the money. Very well equiped rooms, new furniture, modern interior, good breakfast, friendly stuff. It was one night stay on the way home. Very good hotel.
Great location-staff very helpfull&friendly. Modern/funky room.Good breakfast. I would defenitely come back here!
broken bedside lamp and the see through bathroom door design, small room
Easy access while travelling. Clean and good value for money.
We needed a hotel that would accept dogs and had parking for a van. Free wireless was a plus!!
Given that it is directly on the Motorway and right next to it is a Truck depot, where I presume is also a Hotel/Motel for the drivers, the room itself was very good, newly designed and furnished and included all the facilities we needed, even free internet access. The Hotel appears more like a Motel. The breakfast was french style and was quite good but there was rarely anything healthy, I recommend this Hotel for staying over night when wanting to stay overnight on your route to or from UK.
Really good, quiet hotel with a nice possibility to check out (by leaving a key in a special box) at any time of day or night. No restaurant :(
Good modern design of room, more than you would expect from a budget hotel Air con didn't work and too noisy to open window
Good sized well soundproofed room. Pleasant decor. Large bathroom. Secure parking Door lock not working properly. Breakfast from 8am (although available in sister hotel next door & very good)
The noise coming outside the room
Close to the highway but still quiet and very comfortable. Nice breakfast, too!
Absolutely excellent for this price. The room was very clean and nice, the stuff very kind. Recommending! A small minus for the location :) Without GPS can be a bit hard to find.
The hotel and staff were excellent Cooked breakfast was not quite hot enough most times
The room provided all that was necessary to make our stay comfortable. ( Tissues + a magnifying mirror in the bathroom would make it even better) Breakfast was excellent. The location was quiet and restful.
Very pleasent hotel.
excellent value for money, great breakfast
Very clean and modern rooms, great breakfast and friendly staff.
First of all the hotel is lovely with the old style red brick walls from the old factory, the staff is very friendly and we go a great deal for a superior room. I have nothing bad to say about the hotel but we asked at the front desk to order a taxi to bring us to "Le Bivouc de l'Empereur" the taxi company charged us €20 and on the way back we asked the restaurant to order a taxi and the charge was €12 only (choice of partner).
I would love tea making facilities in the room
good variety at breakfast, very comfortable beds and a clean room. expensive for the film selection
Great room, good breakfast, good staff, free parking.
Modern facilities and value for money No
after we complained about our room we got a much better room Room: sink was blocked of shower and washbasin. The floor was dirty and it was extremely warm. But worst there was a light outside fixed just above our window. It switched on everytime somebody or something passed the parking. So the whole night the room was in bright light on and of. There were no proper curtains.
Walking distance to RER, easy way to get into Paris to see the sights. Secure parking for hotel guests only at reasonable daily rate. Staff was very nice. Hotel is very basic. Used flip flops for walking around - not the cleanest place we stayed during our trip.
easy access to the places and sites we wanted to visit
easy to reach Bruxelles they don't accept the 500 euros banknotes the so called "bar" was poor
Friendy reception staff made you feel very welcome The staff in the attached restaurant changed from being helpful and friendly to rude and unwelcoming when they found out we had booked our evening meal as a package.
Hotel was clean, modern and easy to find. Staff helpful. Breakfast could have been better, car park smelt of sewage
The price was fair fair.
nothing too expensive for what you get. uncomfortable rooms.
clean rooms, convinient location.. room was a little small,(triple room we got was nice, but we didn't get it for the second stay.) not all the stuff was friendly.
This hotel was adjacent to both the battlefiled...15 minute drive away and the railway station (5 mins by car) with a direct train to Brussels every hour..last one back well after midnight...saved having to drive/stay in the middle of Brussels. Excellent staff and typical Ibis accomodation...never bad, never excellent...always good...staff very knowledgable and helpful. Nothing
The comfort and atmosphere of the hotel is good During breakfast he supply of bread/bacon/salmon was absent or slowly.
very good breakfast and excellent service and a very pleasant location. the reception had an inforamtion I will stay 2 nights but in the reality I have booked only for 1 night. After a short explication, the check-in has been adjusted accordingly.
Large, quiet room with good facilities. Close to ring road with good access to motorways south of Brussels. Difficult to find hotel - in former sugar factory! Evening meal was not good value, with 20-30 min waits between courses and small portions. Breakfast - hot food was cold, but there was a good range of foods.
The hotel and restaurant have a beautiful design. The room was big and still cosy. The food in the restaurant was delicious !
Perfect location if you have a meeting in one of the offices next door. Very high prices for a normal/regular hotel.
We stayed at this hotel on the way to BRU airport. This is a business hotel with large and confortable rooms. Breakfast buffet is good. hairs on the bad sheet and pillow. Old carpets at the corridors
Price (through Booking.com got EUR 80 for double and was upgraded to triple breakfast incl. for the same money), breakfast was great, location was convenient when with a car. Hotel is aging, rooms/halls definitely need some refurbishing (especially bathrooms)...
Good location, very close to Waterloo office park. Comport beds and good breakfast. Hotel staff is not too helpful. During booking i have mentioned that i prefer room NOT on the ground floor (i have book a room in one month in advance), but receive room on ground floor. Answer was: we have't spare room on the first floor. Aircondition is on the room but too noisy. During checkout hotel try to charge me for more high rate. If you are required to stay in Waterloo area and you have car, then better to stay in Château Du Lac hotel in Genval. Same hotel chain but better value for money.
The restaurant was outstanding - excellent food, imaginative menu and (for the standard) not too expensive It would be nice to be able to get Internet access from the room rather than having to go back down to Reception to get the log in details
All was fine except that I had requested disabled access and we were put on the 2nd floor with no lift! See above. my request on the E-mail booking was ignored. Your mistake I suspect and not good enough!
Location in the town square Room and corridors very dark. No facillities for drinks (tea, coffee, water) in the room
New, simple and clean hotel with friendly italian staff. Good value and close to Charleroi airport was the reason for the stay. 55€ minibus fare to the airport.
rooms need renovation, air condition is too noisy, breakfast is good,
The rooms are of a good size The reception area need sot be manned by more than 1 person at busy times. This was very poor and checking out took over 30mins.
Room was nice; staff was super helpful & polite
I felt well, being alone in my room did not make me feel alone in the huge world like in some hotels.
Free WiFi It is rather dated and in need of a re-fit
Comfy.Gent on reception on returning my passport noticed it was my birthday and wihed me a happy one.Unfortunately no champagne !!!!! Impersonal, very expensive if not booked on net. Glad only stayed 2 nights before moving onto my regular and cheaper and nicer hotel nearby!!!!
The service the people
double room in the hotel was very small, with extra bed for our son it was not possible to move i nthe room. The rooms and the furniture i nthe hotel are very old, worn out. It is not 4* hotel which you expect when paying 175 Euro per night. I will never stay in this hotel again. Major renovation is required, prices are too high, should be below 100 Euro even after renovation.
Enjoyed the spacious club room and nicely remodeled bathroom. Very convenient to tourist sights. The mattresses are too firm.
The quiet atmosphere and friendly desk clerk. They were not prepared to have guests over the Easter Weekend. The breakfast was not very good, the room lacked a fan and the hot pot was in need of cleaning. The hotel needs to consider putting something in the tub to prevent slipping when showering.
thr room, the atmosfere, the breakfast and the restaurant next to no
Nice and new place for €47 night Hotel cleaners knocking on your door at 8.30am to clean your room. When check out was 11am!
Room and Breakfast good Directions to find hotel - impossible! No local restaurant available
Availability of the reception, Wireless internet, closed and video camera controlled parking lot, spartan look. A all inclusive package (with breakfast) would be better.
Very helpful staff Beds were somewhat stiff.
I stayed here because every other hotel in the region was full. The room offers the basics - bed, shower, WiFi (yes this is now a 'basic'). That's it. Hotel is in the middle of an industrial park, about 3 miles from the centre of town. I found one restaurant within walking distance. There are two cases where this hotel weould be useful: you're driving on a long trip and you need to overnight in Belgium before you get back on the highway; or you're visiting the region and it's the only hotel available.
Friendly staff, easy to find, close to motorway and La Louviere. For a budget hotel, it has everything you need, including complimentary WiFi, which I really appreciate. Hard beds, but I always have a problem with hotel beds...
The staff did'nt understand english, so it was difficult to ask questions and get information about f.ex. restaurants and so..
It was very basic and very difficult to find, but it was only an overnight stop for us and you do get what you pay for.
It's all you expect for what you pay
it was very nice - high standard of bathroom, floor tiles etc. Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast. it was still under construction and some works in the room were not finished. Very narrow passage to drive to the parking.
Staff was very friendly. Most spoke English including a very elegant girl (who was also a flamenco dancer) at the front desk. The hotel was modern (newly renovated). The breakfast was of very high quality. Good quality croissants and pastries. 150 metres south down the street is an excellent Italian restaurant (L'Antica Roma). Strange buzzing key code locks for rooms instead of swipe cards. Although I had no problems with parking on the street in front of the hotel, the parking at the rear of the hotel is quite limited. The town of La Louivere is pretty dull, but that is not the fault of the hotel.
Excellent staff in an excellent hotel. One of the best value for money hotels you can find in the region. Strongly recommended. WiFi reception could be better but the cable for the Internet connection was more than enough. So, not a big issue.
Very polite and professional staff creates friendly atmosphere; very clean room with comfort bed and new furniture and spacious bathroom; quite good breakfast; good location: railway station in few minutes of walking
My room was in a new sedtion of the hotel - clean, modern and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was not large, but had very good variety. Only minor issue was that the hotel's parking was full, but I was able to find a spot on the street only 50 metres away.
Staff were extremely friendly
Great design (every room is different): but some rooms don't have a view (window in the roof). We asked to change and got what we wanted. The little town and whereabouts are very boring. We enjoyed the visit of the mask museum in Binche. Car is a must.
Desig, desig, design. Hotel is very nice and it is located very close to Mons - just 20 min driving. Free parking lot. It smells a little bit, there is no restaurant.
It is very confortable and charming
The quality of the room and the available space Bathroom are not completely closed off from the rest of the room
Excellent Room, very good athmosphere. Surrounding grounds were very nice The food or lack of it
The location is very nice. The rooms were excellent. The lack of a restaurant for an evening meal. The choice at breakfast was very poor.
Good Atmosphere, Good Hotel, Very Quiet No-one else staying in hotel
I liked quietness, space for privacy, cosiness, natural surrounding.
Clean comfortable room. Under floor heating on, making the room very hot.
The hotel is new.Everything has been perfect. Staff very friendly and helpfull.I recomend this hotel.
Well located close to the motorway. Room not that well-isolated. Lack of choice during breakfast.
Right next to Napoleon's piramid and the Waterloo battle fields. The floor in the room was pretty much stained and so was the head board of the bed. All in all it did not make me feel the room was that clean.
Easy to find! Lack of plugs (for my laptop) in the room. Had to use the TV socket and therefore couldn't watch TV as I worked - which was probably better for my concentration anyway.
Nice breakfast, I loved the bread! I did not like the noise of the road and the lights outside as there were paintingworks ongoing
Friendly staff Restaulant was under constraction. Brakfast was little bit poor.
Good breakfast, nice bathroom, comfortable mattress awful noice from a street, too dark room, no price list for mini bar and some drinks are out of expiry dates
No warm water. Room interior full of stains, was warm (in February). Slept on top of the sheets.
Wonderful location, quiet atmosphere, great rooms, great commemoration of the Battle of Waterloo I will return soon.
good breakfast, pleasant staff, very clean rooms, wifi in rooms now. non come to mind
nice room noisy, next to road
This hotel is situated in an attractive village, which has several bars, restaurants and an excellent deli. It has the look and feel of an alpine resort, with a pool and sauna. The rooms could possibly do with some refurbishment, but this could spoil its character. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, including a fantastic castle close by. No
A hotel that is transformed into a disco at night without any respect for the other guest, especially not by the staff.
Good village , central Could do with a kettle for hot water in the rooms - however a small point which did not ruin a good experience
Kindness and the smile of the staff, the restaurant and the variety of plates, the cosy and comfortable side. Walls are really thin, you can hear your neighbours' chats through. Beds are not especially comfortable.
staff were friendly and polite! there was a bad mouldy smell all over the hotel.
Calm, cleanliness, comfort, location, 5 minutes from the place where the wedding reception took place.
very friendly and efficient staff; free parking; spacious, cleanly room; nice bathroom; as a whole very silent; free, good wi-fi connection; beautiful village and countryside the room could have used more (make-up) mirrors and double curtains. Location is a 45 min drive from downtown Brussels.
Quiet, friendly hotel with indoor swimming pool What little noise there was easily penetrated the thin walls.
clean, quiet, nice food, nice people a little far away from the city
It was convenient to my daughters house for her 40th birthday party
Room are good and spacious and hotel provided all necessary facilities. €99.00 per night is an over valued cost, but so are all midweek hotels in Belgium.
A peaceful place, homeliness, nice personal
The windows can't be closed properly. Neither the door of the room. It's too noisy because of the very close motorway.
lovely surroundings, quite and comfortable
Convenient location south of Brussels.Ideally located for rush hour outbound trips south of brussels, at attractive price/quality. Limited nr of rooms, cozy atmosphere 1. Although the booking.com reservation mentioned it, the owner was extremely cross about the late arrival. Not the textbook example of customer friendliness. Morning staff was extremely nice and embarassed by the incident though. 2. Bedroom window somewhat difficult to handle (open).
Easy access to rooms quiet area lovely breakfast kind staff thought it a bit expensive, and a bit far from centre of Waterloo town
Clean, friendly room with excellent Internet access, tv etc. Parking right outside the door to the room, so no 'dragging around the luggage'. This is a small b&b in an annex to the family home of the owners but with perfect privacy if you want. Not sure if it really is a "bad" point, but staying here effectively requires access to a car or use of a taxi, as no restaurants etc. are in walking distance. Was no problem for me though.
Well situated, peaceful, nice and safe. Baeutiful house. None that I can think of.
Charming bed & breakfast with good owners. Comfortable beds and coffee in the room are excellent incentives for return customers. We really enjoyed the breakfast on the terrace. Power plugs should be better accessible.
