Pros: Our hosts, Mary and Sylvain, were welcoming, warm and friendly. The B&B was not very close to any restaurants so we were very relieved to discover we could have dinner there with a beautiful view of the water and fantastic meals prepared by our hosts who were master chefs. We stayed 4 nights and had fabulous breakfasts and dinners every day.

Pros: The hotel was beautiful in a breathtaking setting. We didn’t leave the property at all during our stay because it was beyond amazing just sitting outside with the view.
Cons: The hotel had stuffed creatures around which I didn’t personally appreciate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful property, full of character, in an area of stunning scenery. A peaceful location, convenient for exploring Connemara. The hotel’s public rooms are elegant and comfortable; delicious breakfast and dinner (a good selection of dishes). My bedroom was possibly the largest I’ve ever had in Ireland: a nice seating area with views of the Lough, and such a comfortable bed! Everyone at Lough Inagh was welcoming and friendly, also helpful with tips on what to see in the area.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: A 2 day off-season visit to Lough Inagh. Had stayed here twice before but it was 20 plus years ago ! The atmosphere is pretty much the same although it has been kept updated and everything still looks good. Lovely rooms and decent breakfast. I ate in the bar which as before is a pleasant little place and does excellent food in the evening. Even if you were not saying here , it would be a good spot to call in for an evening meal ( not sure if the bar does lunch ) The location is incredible, on a road going through Glen Inagh and with a spectacular outlook over the lake and mountains. It is peaceful and beautiful. This is a good spot to tour around Connemara from also, plenty of opportunities for walking or cycling. Part of the Western Way long distance walking trail goes through behind the hotel and is fairly easy to access.
Cons: Everything was good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was magnificent. We were treated wonderfully every step of the way! The room was amazing, the food was delicious and so well prepared. The staff was so attentive and friendly.

Jim was very welcoming and attentive, he kept the fire going for the duration, we brought our own breakfast stuff and had the run of the place. Stunning location with forest, lakes and mountain walks. Central for visiting neighbouring towns.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing at all!
Cons: Very uncomfortable stay, Beds were bad not as it shows in the pictures! The beds were leather mattresses on a piece of timber with 4-5 mattesses spread across the same timber frame also only 4 sockets between 8 people in a room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is just absolutely incredible! We were staying at the room at the very back and the view was one of the most beautiful I’ve had in any accommodation. The owner is truly lovely and sweet and makes sure you have all you need. Kitchen facilities are great too. It’s not the most modern building and might get chilly in colder months, but we loved the mountain hut charm and there was a warm fire in the living room. We would totally come back any time! PS. Make sure you go for a swim in the lake just below the hostel!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Hostel has amazing surroundings and a great View on the lake and the Mountains. It startet already on our way to the Hostel through the Mountains. The furniture facility is simple and fits to the Mountains, especially the living room with the fireplace is cozy. The kitchen and the conservatory are great for cooking and eating, too. In the morning the table was lovingly set and we had different choices for Breakfast. But our Highlight was our host - he is such a nice guy. We had really interesting conversations with him and totally forgot the time, because we didn't want to end talking with him. He also gave us awesome tipps for our Roadtrip, like driving the Skyroad and visit Clifden and Roundstone (Alone the way to Roundstone would have been worth it). We would definitely book it again and looking forward to the new hostel he is working on at the coast.
