Modern hotel met perfecte locatie aan het cicuit. Mooie, ruime kamer met alle comfort.
Neat the track of Spa Francorchamps -
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and early enough for the early start required for the race circuit. Shower water in my room did not evacuate properly - blocked out pipe I guess. Otherwise all fine.
Position of the hotel and the staff A little pricey for whats on offer
the overall quality of the room, TV channels, internet availability, the garage, quiet, location during breakfast, there clearly was understaffing due to unexpected last minute bookings. The lady on duty did what she could and stayed friendly, but we had to exercise patience to find the food or drink we wanted. During dinner there was only one set menu at 35 Euro in the restaurant; they said there had been some technical problems in the kitchen.
The atmosphere in the hotel was second to none, and the service and welcome were impeccable, espeacially the dogs.
i liked the rooms, the animals, the staff, the breakfast, the sunny garden a little noise from the street, when we had the window open. when closed, it was no problem
Excellent buffet breakfast, quirky but tasteful interior decoration, peace and quiet, knowledgeable host, sense of history.
Extremely helpful service from the manager from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The price was extremely high for what was, ultimately, a bed and breakfast service.
Hotel Dufays is a small boutique hotel, beautifully decroated with excellent facilities inside and out. The owners, Ad and Frank, are friendly welcoming and always willing to be helpful, whther making a dinner reservation or giving ideas for trils around the area. The room we stayed in was very large and wonderfully decorated. In addition, we took our dog and she was welcomed by the wners, just as much as they welcomed us. The hotel is a gem and a real find. We plan a return visit to the hotel and are highly recommending it to friends.
Friendly owner, beautiful decor, sumptuous breakfast. Our room was the smallest one and not as posh as the others (but still very nice).
The friendly welcome by the owner. The uniqueness of the rooms. The views were fantastic. Everything was so clean. The music at breakfast. Nothing
The food was very good, nicely presented and the waiter seemed to care about service Bed linen. Would prefer to have cotton sheets but it was not to bad
Nice location Got locked out of room!! No staff at hotel on our return at 11p.M.!! Had to sleep in another room!! Total rubbish.
Excellent location, environment is relaxing and pittoresque and right next to the Plopsa Coo family park. Rooms are clean. Hotel restaurant is quite nice with riverside tables, food is reasonable quality. Very nice terrace connected to the room (18) although this probably isn't the case for all rooms. The rooms could do with some renovation. In the bathroom the shower was leaking quite badly and the hot/cold water was irregular in temperature. The wallpaper was loosening in some places. Its not horrible, but could be a lot better.
Excellent location. Normal health and safety precautions nill. Phillipe Constant, proprietor, uncaring and totally lacking in consideration, concern and normal social graces. Healthy, fit and active husband returned home shatter, nerv ous wreck thanks to this hotel. Not sure if we would even consider a future holiday. Where were hotel inspectors???It is not the only odd steps left like this in building. The first afternoon of our holiday my husband fell headlong down two unmarked and without any warning steps bwteen beddroom and entrance hall, cracking eyebrow and nose on corner of wardrobe 10 feet away with full force of his 13 stone weight. 5Hours later he collapsed, unconscious and was hospitalised.Xrays of shoulder and brain scan confirmed, thankfully, no clot or bleed to brain. 11 days later very ill and gp told him 'a couple of inches to one side your head would have been split open and you could have been killed.' Floor covering in entrance hall, on steps and room matched; in dim light difficult to see and when coming in from daylight impossible to see until eyes adjusted.
Very friendly staff and hotel in a pretty location Nothing to complain about really as the hotel is inexpensive so dont expect fantastic luxury, it is basic, comfortable, clean, good food and friendly staff.
location chairs were not comfortable, bouncy castle for children was dangerous and play room was not suitable for young children.
Good service at the restaurant and well prepared food. No problems arranging an extar bed since the Grand Lit was to small. Huge balkony.
Pleasant surroundings, the F1 race circuit was 20 minutes away, restruant was good, with a wide selection of european style food, no english cards but we were able to work out selection, staff has limited english did very well to meet our needs; room comfortable; overall a positive experience No
very good, busy spot, but seperate carpark at rear which was more secure for the classic car we travelled in Mainly the cost of the room which was quoted at 70 euro per night, but we ended up being charged 90 euro per night - they need to sort this out!!!
this is a very pleasent hotel. ideal for the spa race track and only 4hrs from calais. i will be using this hotel again.
I stayed there before in 2000 and enjoyed it then. I wanted to take my wife to enjoy the food, location and hospitality, even though it was just a 1 night stopover. It was just as good this time.
Within walking distance of St. Vith but with a country feel Ideal position and service for our dog Would definitely recommend the hotel for an superb country break
I liked everything. Very cosy and romantic. Also the food was excelent.
The location is lovely. The hotel is situated in in a peaceful pine encircled oasis next to 2 small fishing lakes. We arrived in early spring when few plants were in leaf or bloom but it was still very pleasant to enjoy a drink on the terrace. The restaurant is good with dishes well presented and served by accomodating staff. Our room was supposedly for 4 people but we were shocked by the state of it. It was dark and smelly, the double bed was a sofabed and the shower attachment didn't work so you had to shower holding onto the shower rose. It was years away from the romantic room with four poster bed which we saw in the marketing materials. The evening meal and wine were quite expensive in relation to the quality - I've eaten much better for the price in the more cosmopolitan parts of Belgium. Although from an outstanding year I found the best wine on the menu disappointing (probably due to poor cellaring). Breakfast was rather basic after the efforts made at dinner.
very good service
Lovely atmosphere and very nice staff
The extremely friendly staff, the restaurant
Very relaxing, welcoming, comfortable small hotel in an exceptionally beautiful setting with ponds, garden, statues, etc. Quiet and ideal for a weekend break and particularly suitable for older couples rather than families. We certainly intend to return when next passing through Belgium.
I loved the appearance of the hotel, the dining area, the rooms, and the lovely landscaping. The room was a good size and very comfortable. It was a bit difficult to use the Internet. I had to borrow a special device (which worked great, by the way), but I couldn't do it from my room.
People were very friendly. The room was rather small, clean and like the total hotel of a particular old fashioned home style. A warm difference with the cold, clean style of to days modern hotels. The diner was excellent and reasonably priced. Beautifull surroundings. Friendly staff, typical family runned place.
Owner very welcoming. Clean & comfortable fine dining and ambiant atmosphere. I would book in a future trip.
The staff is very gentle, speaks at least 3 different languages, explains the service of the hotel very well, we felt very good there, they take care of you!
Modern room, good restaurant, nice people. Very noise rooms, uncomfortable toilet seat.
Hospitality, kindness. Restaurant prices are a bit exaggerated
Most rooms are in a high-tech new building, with windows on the (arguably not busy) road. This is fine, but bears no relation to the pictures on the site, which give the impression of an old, romantic hotel in a secluded garden.
Personable and helpful staff, good food.
Enjoying the countryside
The Hotel is one of the best I have stayed in. Not cheap but worth the price. The welcome was excellent and personal by the co-proprietor. It is set in nice grounds in a lovely village with interesting historical features. The rooms, interior and cuisine were superb, as was the level of service.
Not many places to eat in the area and the hotel dinner was overpriced.
Position ,plenty of local information. We were given an upgraded room, much bigger .Staff seemed very well trained.lovely bathroom. breakfast did not start until 8:30,fine for gourmet but if passing through,no good, we were offered voucher for the local bakery. Our .upgraded room was lovely(furnishings etc) but very noisy and very hot.For a gourmet experience we are sure it is great, to stay overnight en route it is not.
Truly outstanding meals and very original menus! Excellent service and very friendly. One of our best meals in some years we will go again. No.
The food was excellent, well prepared and delightfully served. We celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary and the ambiance was just perfect. As I am not a great wine aficionado I asked the staff to serve their selections and it really worked out nice. I would recommend this chef and this hotel to anyone!
Very good value for money, very nice room and very clean and excellent restaurant!
Friendly owners and staff. Didn't have wireless internet in the room.
The hotel is not far located from our company. You feel at ease. no complaints
We stopped at this hotel on the way home from holiday. The beds were comfortable and the room was well-maintained and equipped with good quality furniture and fittings etc. The staff were friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was OK. Not the cheapest option for an overnight stop, but worth considering if the budget will stretch.
The Hotel was friendly and efficient providing excellent service.
The personal was very frindly.
The breakefast and the staff
Nice classy rooms. Lovely swimming pool with nice temperature. Sauna. Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Value for money.
Very clean, excellent location with friendly staff. Hotel has available a lot of materials for activities in the area.Very nice swimming pool and sauna for relaxing after good walk or cycling. The prices for using steam room and jacuzzi could be written in the hotel guide.
Central position in town; friendly staff Relatively expensive; coffee at breakfast comes too slowly ;-), no hairdryer in room, smoking was allowed in hotel
we felt like friends not like guests no TV in the room
Beautifully furbished – but small – rooms. Don’t be put off by the eccentric exterior of the building. Free wifi. Friendly owner. On street parking is free overnight. Very basic continental breakfast.
Stavalot is a very nice little town and the hotel itself is very comfortable and stylishly decorated.
The manager and staff were extremely friendly and helpful despite limited communication as we don't speak much French and they didn't speak much English. Room was basic, but modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was substantial for a 'continental' breakfast. The evening meal was very good and great value for money. We would have no hesitation recommending this hotel and hope to return here sometime.
