The Historic Scotia Inn is a unique 22 room Bed & Breakfast with both Victorian and modern furnishings built in 1923 in the small lumber town of Scotia, California. Considered to be the northern gateway to the exquisite California Redwood's Avenue of the Giants, we offer a peaceful relaxing stay after visiting our beautiful parks. Located 1/4 mile from the Eel River, but within 40 minutes of Humboldt Bay and The Pacific Ocean. Just to the North is the Victorian Village of Ferndale, home to vintage shops and the set of many movies. We are a convenient stop when traveling the north coast between San Francisco and Oregon. Our small town offers a pharmacy, post office, bank, hardware store, gas station and grocery store, directly across the street. Within the Hotel is a full service pub with our unique Irish Food featuring our Fish-n-Chips and Shepherd's Pie and Corned Beef and Cabbage. We feature local beers on tap. We offer a continental breakfast on the Mezzanine level. The Inn is a beautiful venue for events such as weddings and reunions and has a banquet room that seats up to 250 people.
