The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was warm and comfortable. We found the bar inviting and the food in the excellent.
Everything was wonderful, the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly, the food was fantastic and the accommodation was spacious and well designed etc The only bad point was that the internet site we booked on said that the address was in Leyburn when in fact it was 5 miles away in the village of Finghall. I know the address is officially Leyburn but a mention of the village address would have been useful as it meant we had to slightly change our evening plans.
Polite friendly staff. Quiet location with lovely views. Relaxing pub with good food
Lovely views from decking over the country side.Friendly helpful staff.Good quality cuisine.
Food excellent A couple of lights not working in the bathroom
The staff were very friendly and the accommodation was lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable!
Without a doubt the best thing about the Queens Head is the food. The breakfast is excellent and freshly cooked. This is the second time we have stayed there and we had an evening meal on both occasions, which was very tasty, not expensive, and the quantities were generous. Nothing to complain about, this is a really nice play to stay, rooms are large, bed/pillows very comfortable, staff are friendly and helpful and it is in a lovely village with beautiful views over the valley and almost forgot to say - dogs are welcome!
A very pleasant welcome and very helpful staff.
Large room, good food, smiling staff, good parking Shortage of power points in the room
Made to feel very welcome. Lots of hot water and clean towels. Bed very comfy. Food excellent. Very dark as no outside light on way to and from room which is situated at back of the hotel/pub.
The views from lounge and dining room were most impressive. The breakfast was excellant. The beds in our room were rather narrow and the first bed had a dreadful squeek. The fact we were not aware that you had to prebook evening meal.
Excellent location, within easy walking distance of amenities - e.g. shop, pub, churches. Breakfast was good (only stayed B&B. Parking was limited, otherwise nothing else.
Friendly, good residents' lounge with excellent view, good breakfast Car parking a bit tight (minor niggle rather than "bad point")
the location was good bedroom not as good as expected no en suite (bathroom)
Being a Guest House and not a hotel it was small but adequate.Decor was traditional ,loved the china in the bedroom. As it was dark when we arrived I couldn't wait to see the view and wasn't disappointed next morning.Breakfast and dinning room were excellent too. The bathroom was crammed, the extract fan operated with the light was very noisy as was the toilet when flushed due to masserator .Shower cubicle also small.
fantastic views from bedroom window. warm welcome. good choice of breakfast. room and especially bathroom small. very short breakfast times.
