I loved the all around look and feel of the hotel. It was clean, the staff was hospitable, and the room was amazing. Parking in the parking garage was an additional $125 for the 5 nights I stayed and was not disclosed when booking the hotel.
For the price, the hotel was excellent. Rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. It was walking distance to the main attractions in Hermosa beach which was nice. The rooftop pool was great and the view of the sunset was awesome. I feel like the hotel nickel and dimed the guests for everything. The bathroom products were cheap and left my skin and hair extremely dry. There were bike rentals, but they were 20-30$ for the day. Parking was 30$/night. I generally felt like the staff was overwhelmed as well.
We had a very nice stay and will return in the future. Our son and family were also there and we all found the hotel to be helpful and attentive to our needs. The location is great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found the staff to be very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were happy. 5 stars. We also did NOT like the parking fees, but with that the only negative it's not such a big deal.
The room was large, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were FANTASTIC! (The even helped us find a pizza place open late to get a late snack). Everything was in walking distance, we didn't take our car out of the garage once! N/A
View Could not change reservation when plans changed. Awful
Coffee machine in room but no ceramic coffee cups provided to use it. Told per IHG platinum member could not use club room with free breakfast because rewarded with bonus points.
House keeping staff are friendly and quick at preparing the room. Check in staff was friendly and it was a quick process. Clean room with a lot of space and giant mirror, balcony and fridge. The fitness center is a small room with mainly cardio machines. Please add some free weights. The elevators, vending machine and ice are located in just one area of the hotel; my room was literally 88 rooms away from them. The bathroom next door had a pipe issue that would make a huge noise every time the guest was using it and woke me up several times at night and in the morning. At check out, the front desk lady was in a hurry and unfriendly (I didn't catch her name but she was red headed with eyeglasses).
Nice staff. Some rooms can be quite an extended walk from the elevators.
I didn't get the room I reserved, I paid for ocean view room and I got a street view room
Room service and housekeeping had the best customer service at of whole hotel! It looks like a hospital. No one greets you or shows that they want to be of service. I was looking forward to a bath after long conference and when turning on the water a huge clump of hair came out of drain and killed it for me.
Liked the room. View was beautiful. Didn't like paying for parking and getting a 100 fee that they say is mandatory after paying 170 for a room that was very pricy,
Had to pay extra for parking, breakfast and Internet. Internet starting dropping every 20 mins one day even after paying. Lost my dry cleaning for three days. The phone did not work and I had to tell the front desk three to four times before it was fixed. The gym is tiny. For this price surely these should not be issues.
The lobby and seating area are lovely and a nice place for a quick breakfast or glass of wine in the evening. The room categories are misleading: the hotel is behind a breaker wall and therefore on a canal not oceanfront.
Rooms, bathrooms and hotel need to be remodeled.
Valet attendants were great Front desk employess very very very careless and non hospitable
We love this hotel and this was our second stay in 4 years. We love everything about it and the staff is exceptionally friendly and wonderful. The only complaint was this was booked through Kayak and we booked a "Premier Oceanfront Room King Bed". It was confirmed and stated on our confirmation in three different places. Upon arrival, they had us booked in a double bed oceanfront room (not premier which is the 2nd and 3rd floors and not a king bed) and they were adamant that was what Kayak booked us in. When we showed them the printed confirmation from Kayak they gave us the Premier Oceanfront King on 2nd Floor. Anyone booking through Kayak should absolutely call the hotel to confirm what they show you are booked in prior to arrival as obviously there are some issues there when booking through a third party like Kayak.
clean & comfortable some of the lights didnt work, like the vanity mirror in the bathroom. the tv wasnt in HD..wifi also scared me cuss it might charge $11.99 ice machine on our floor was broken as well.
The hotel looked as though it had been remodeled fairly recently. It was well designed and had a very cozy great room/lobby with a fireplace and a bar. The rooms were large, clean and very nice. We had an amazing ocean view and the front desk upgraded us for free. The restaurant across the parking lot is part of the hotel and was delicious. It was a great place to spend our 6 year anniversary.
Location Parking and amenities fee
Stayed here at the tail end of our honeymoon. Beautiful in-room finishes, modern yet charming. Ocean view rooms with views of a colony of cute barking sea lions, complete with sailboats passing by! Spectacular. Would stay again.
We loved the very cosy 'livingroom' bar with fireplace and live music....and Baleen, the restaurant and bar, also with live music was very nice!
The room was spacious and had a wonderful view of the ocean. Very nice staff. Room was very close to outside pool and jacuzzi and had to listen to people in the jacuzzi talking until midnight.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and the views are just breath taking on ocean side Marina side room by parking lot on 1st floor. They need to build that up with plants for privacy. People walking by looking in, noicey from people and cars. We had the staff move us to another room or we were leaving. They almost lost a week long customer when all it would take are some trees, hedges and plants for privacy. You can't see the marina anyways from the 1st floor
Nothing except the location The staff doesn't care. The hotel stinks. No elevator No ID check when requesting new key No enough parking No elevators
Great place to stay. Nice rooms, recently refurbished and very clean. Ideal location within a short walk of the Redondo Pier and beach. Very friendly and competent staff. When I mistakenly made and guaranteed my reservation for the wrong day, the manager, Dee, cancelled the no-show charge, and moved my reservation to the correct day.
it was clean, no carpet. I checked the mattress and it was clean and wrapped in bed-bug preventative cover. PCH is a noisy road.
The one person helping was very professional. The room was clean. The unique color scheme of orange and brown was interesting to say the least, and for me added to its charm. Close enough to the pier and restaurants to walk. Only one person available to help.
the place is undergoing a big renovation. this is interesting, since it was not a bad place before. new owner seems very motivated to make sure the stay was comfortable. THE PLACE IS UNDERGOING A MAJOR RENOVATION. our room had a pretty sharp edge on the floor going into the bathroom. i was afraid one of us would catch our foot on it. i would think a safety inspector would have something to say about that !
Easy access to the Redondo pier and beach, clean rooms and great value for the location
The shower did not work in the room. The bed was very squeaky. The price was right but The shower not working was a problem.
4 blocks to the beach. Hardwood floors in rooms. Comfy beds .staff was great. Easy check in Bathroom could be bleached. Little red blanket thingy on bed was nasty. Had chunks of food and maybe a booger... ick. People in the room next door were loud. I returned the favor at 4am when i had to get up for work.
this hotel was clean, with easy ample parking and standard continental breakfast fare. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room seemed huge. All of the pillows were of the firm variety. I would prefer the option of a softer option in all those pillows on the bed!
Bed was very comfortable and room size was large with a window which i liked very much. I had to wait after check in time because my room wasnt cleaned yet and even after waiting it still wasnt very clean. Additionally, in the morning there was a bedbug on the top sheet. I was not satisfied with the cleanliness of the room.
The waffle iron at breakfast is simply amazing. The location is quite good: easy to reach with public transportation. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and accommodating. Jacuzzi/hot tub closed. No elevator to the second floor: I have a disability, but a very nice gentleman offered to carry my suitcase up the flight of stairs. Toaster a breakfast is slow and toasts only one side of bread.
Nothing except staff Noisy, no elevator, sink didn't drain, cluttered courtyard area, gap in front door almost half an inch. There are much better values elsewhere in area, I just happened to visit this time during spring break, and nothing else was available
Terrible squeaky bed, noisy a/c, terrible traffic noise and to top it off the folks next door were going at it all night and we could hear it. The whole experience
this was by far the best priced all inclusive, beachfront stay you could ask for.. I look forward to my next stay at the Ramada limited Redondo beach hotel
