Friendly atmosphere. Excellent food. Good leisure facilities
The fact that on arrival I was not asked for a credit card reservation of money and thus not treated as a potential criminal aiming to abscond without paying.
Food excellent, the the best looking and tasting breakfast. Prompt service and friendly staff. Bed not very comfortable - may be that mattress not very thick! Didn't sleep very well.
It was nice to be able to visit the pool and steamroom The haetin stayed on over night and we got a poor night's sleep
It is difficult to rate the hotel as we only stayed two nights whilst attending a family funeral. But, it served our purposes perfectly.
I have stayed at park farm on several occasions in the past & always enjoy a comfortable relaxing stay, nice place to unwind
We had a std double, it was better than a superior room at most other hotels. Very good leisure facilities. Excellent restaurant. All staff very attentive. Highly recommended.
Staff were friendly Plumbing/ heating was noisy all night keeping us awake.......Didnt like the fact of having to walk around the outside in the rain for access between room to reception
Excellent service from polite efficient staff together with very good leisure facilities and good food.
The rooms were lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful
We were very pleased with the room we had. Breakfast was good with wide variety Although we booked online when we arrived at the hotel they had no knowledge of our booking. But because we had the relevant paperwork they were able to fit us in.
Staff were helpful and efficient. Hotel Building and Grounds were excellent. Facilities and dining were as you would expect of a De Vere Hotel.
Staff, building itself - spacious and grand, swimming pool Bedroom would benefit from a reading light
Excellent service - particularly the waitress. Food was also excellent. Confusing layout and unclear "labelling" in the lifts! e.g no infomation which floor to choose for Reception.
Frfiendly helpful staff, excellent pool and sauna. `breakfast rolls undercooked, no crispbread, i.e ryvita available.
Ample car parking, polite and friendly staff, very good choice for the room service menu as a single traveller this is very important and an excellent selection for breakfast with attentive serving staff The facilities were a bit dated and the room was rather a long trek away from reception.
The grounds and the hotel were very good. You were made welcome. I enjoyed the facilities. As said before. The room was basic and for the price I would have expected king size bed and a fridge. There is no air conditioning in the room and it was a warm weekend. I was informed when booking out that there was bigger rooms available.
the ambience in room information folder lacking (some pages duplicated, possibly some missing, restaurant opening times not given), and not coordinated with TV on screen info ("refer to in room guide for restaurant opening times"), phone not working, TV unadjustable for colour balance, no guide as to channels
peace and quiet over looking the golf course i didnt stay longer
A comfortable recently modernised hotel in a delightful inner city location with a free car park, Also the restaurant is excellent and the staff generally helpful and courteous. Nothing! It ticked all our boxes.
Hotel is very conveniently located. Has own car park. Rooms are clean and comfortable and well equiped.
the cleaner looked nice the room was really hot even tho the heating was off, not a huge problem tho
proximity to city centre
Excellent location lots of original feature Leaving
Good position in town;friendly/helpful staff; nice room;convenient car parking Not very excited by dinner menu
The staff is friendly and the onsite restaurant was fantastic! Rooms are modernized and spacious. Location is excellent. Couldn't have asked for anything more!
The position was very good We were at the back of the hotel and the extractor unit was a little noisy
In the centre of Norwich - right by the cathedral and excellent choice of pubs and restaurants etc. Near good shops and The Forum A minor point was that the foyer internet access did not work. The room was cold at night due to a problem radiator but they supplied a room heater
The helpfulness of your staff was certainly appreciated and available when needed. Also a pleasant bathroom. Our bedroom could have been more comfortable and a large stain on the carpet on entering did not give a good first impression. The duvet was most comfortable but softer pillows would have been nice.
The Paston room was excellent, but the key fob did not have the room name on it, just the number which confusingly was 412 even though the room is on the second floor.
Bar man exceptionally attentive and very chatty. Yes the first floor fire door kept banging shut. I timed it once to approx every 5 minutes as people went in and out. Very noisy and very irritating.
room was clean, cosy and comfortable. friendly staff. had a nice experience on my one night stay. good hotel.
very friendly and helpful staff. Clean well appointed en suite rooms with tea/coffee facilities. Sea front location. nothing
Excellent value for money, The staff were really friendly and helpful and let me keep my room longer than the scheduled check out time at no extra cost. Will stay there again.
Our room said "ensuite" but the sink was in the bedroom! Not keen on that as ensuite should include basin along with toilet and shower- so it was a little disappointing.
welcome good,staff friendly. no
not a lot meal was awful, breakfast was awful, shower was awfull,
Big comfortable beds
Location with friendly staff. Needed more people serving in the bar in the evening with training on how to deal with customers in their correct order. I was overlooked when it was "my turn" three times
Excellent staff, couldn't be more helpful and location to Norwich City Football Club perfect! Breakfast and lunch also very good. Overall a bit expensive for a Travelodge on steroids. Lacked atmosphere and character, and for the money we paid I've stayed in better hotels.
The hotel is in a good location for norwich, easy parking, quiet.
Comfortable relaxing weekend break in a modern coveniently located hotel. Staff very friendly & helpful
Lovely decor, nice room. Quiet. Very helpful friendly staff. No probs at all.
Location of Hotel, ease of use and good facilities Room Service for Breakfast (didn't arrive!)
Not very much to our disapointment Breakfast was a disgrace
Comfortable, clean modern and spacious rooms, all the facilities you'd expect from a good hotel, helpful staff and good food. No
no late night revellers n/a
A wonderful place to stay Elsa and Keith were very friendly and helpful, the best B+B we have ever stayed at, and we have a been to quite a few.We will definately be back The rain, but who's fault was that!
Clean comfortable place to stay with an excellent breakfast. Particularly liked the fresh fruit and the fresh fruit in the room on arrival.
My friend and I had a very relaxing 2 night stay nothing was too much trouble for the owners every small detail was thought ofBreakfast was better than many 5* hotels we have stayed in all over the world Jean & Barabara Lift !!!!! but this is only because we live in bungalows
Someone to greet me on arrival. Well lit. Separate and accessible lounge area. Own key. Payment taken on arrival so free to leave following morning.
access available at all times to room, car parking, walking distance to town Ensuite facilities were to small for comfort, I believe not worthy of 4star rating, as was food quality at breakfast! deep cleaning of some elements within room needed (extractor fan) also I would suggest needs uprating as condensation is affecting decoration (rm 16)
The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was comfortable and very modern, it was very clean also. It was clearly visable from road and easy to get to from city centre. A great stay.
A very nice modern room with a nice feel We like the help yourself breakfast although we felt it could have been a little more tasty!! The sausages could have been more meaty!
Excellent cleanliness, buffet-style full English breakfast, car parks for about 10 cars
Clean and modern.Breakfast was good and also included into the price that we pay, although during the time we booked online,it stated that breakfast was not included.
Everything! The staff, welcome; The room was new well apointed and spotless. The breakfast was fresh, wholesome and well presented. the guest house offers excelent off street parking. This is clearly a new bussiness venture and I wish them every success. Keep up these excellent standards and look forward to continued recomendations and repeat custom. I have suggested to Norwich Union that they put you on their recomendation. You are a credit to the city of Norwich
Out of the city so quieter but a good bus service if needed, good parking facilities.
Lack of staff. Lack of information about Norwich.
Excellent, friendly service from staff. Easy to locate and close enough to the city.
Convenience - near to coast and Norwich - comfort and facilities in hotel itself no
beautiful place, well kept. the price of the drinks from the honesty bar.
We stayed at Old Catton Hall for 3 nights as we were going to a wedding nearby. The history of the place was very interesting and the luxurious rooms were fantastic. Dianne the owner was very attentive and the breakfast were very good. We would definatley stay there again.
Room faultless with all conveniences. Staff very helpful. poor location for eating out; nowhere within walking distance.
The privacey that we were given, the freedom to come and go as we pleased, the facilities and relaxed mode.
The frendliness of the owners / staff and excelent welcome and service
This hotel is an excellent place to stay. It is full of old world charm and full of character. I was very warmly welcomed and settled into an excellent room. Breakfast was excellent and grat value for money. I will definitely be staying here again.
4 poster room , everything available from coffee milk to cold beers from fridge bit noisy from grandkids and traffic and squeeky floorboards! [but added to charm]
Old manor house with character. Bedroom was large, airy and tastefully decorated. On suite was excellent. Breakfast was individually cooked and very tasty, with fresh fruit, not tinned, available. Highly recommend.
Owner very nice and friendly, really good choice of breakfast, room very comfortable, enjoyed the numerous books on offer to read. Is a beautiful house. I think the hotel would be more suited to the more mature person, but have nothing bad to say about it at all.
The decor no
Wonderful staff that go the extra mile.
Very comfortable bed! It was divine! Lovely big bathroom and very, very clean. Breakfast was great. We were there for our friends wedding and the whole weekend went off very well. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were very helpful.
The location was very good for our visit. The staff extremely helpful. Lack of a trouser press in the rooms
The location, and ambiance and artdeco style On arrival having booked two rooms, told they only had one emphasis on my arrangement not their administration/management.Taking one hour to serve meal from ordering with no apology.Cleaning trolley outside room with toillet roll on floor and linen when going down for breakfast
room was comfortable and location was excellent reception was small and not obvious
Central city location, convenient for Norwich nightlife. Mould around the shower enclosure and fittings, not expected in a hotel of this standard.
We liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the style of the hotel and decor. We liked the small details that were different from so many large chain hotels, ie the furniture, the provision of a 'real' long leaf tea (not tea bags) real coffee etc. in the room...food in the restaurant was excellent. The room could do with a small table, tray etc and a longer lead on the kettle so we didn't have to put the kettle on the floor to reach a socket and didn't have to put the tea/coffee pot on their furniture with the risk of leaving water marks etc. ....small points really.
Location Lack of attention to detail - this hotel could be so much better as it is in a perfect location for Norwich city centre, something much needed in Norwich. Some examples of very many shortcomings that I would expect without question in a hotel of this standard - only one bath robe (probably unwashed as there was a tissue in the pocket), toiletries not replenished on two night stay, bin not emptied despite having a discarded sandwich in it, we were not made to feel particularly welcome after a long and tiring drive, rear entrance to hotel from car park gives bad impression as not very well kept etc etc etc... Our room looked tired and in need of some maintenance. Door handle, toilet roll holder falling off, grubby marks on carpets/furniture etc.Staff don't appear well trained - we were not even asked on departure whether everything was ok and of we had had a good stay. Surely this wouldn't be too much trouble?
Good size room and Bed. Breakfast good too.
The food at the restaurant was terrific. The staff created a good atmosphere although the decor was tired. Good location for the business trip I was on. The bar lacked charm. Functional is the best way to describe this area.
hotel was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay Did not like dogs staying, thought it was very un hygienic, and did,nt like the thought that a dog had been in the room before us, as I suffer from asthma and it could have made me very poorly, and it let the hotel down .
how good the staff were they could not do enough to help the room was very small and it had a smell in it not nice we had to leave all the windows open
The room was comfortable and with a sea view Steps to get to the reception area, very small lift to upper floors
overlooking the sea. good breakfast & service. good restaurant.
Friendly staff, reasonably priced rooms available on special promotion, good breakfast, nice seafront location
the hotel bar was very poor
good restuarant andnice bedroom maybe the lift
The location was stunning and there are certainly a lot of things to do. The staff were very friendly and the ambience of the hotel was very relaxed. Most areas were clean and tidy as was the room although with two Queen beds it was a little cramped. The food in the separate 'Zest' restaurant was better than that served for breakfast which was very run-of-the-mill and appeared to have come straight from cans or packets without any creativity. Our general impression was that the hotel has pretentions beyond the reality.
Fantastic luxurious accomodation> top class hotel close to the city for a relaxing weekend. nothing.
All staff were polite and help full
Reception staff were very polite and efficient, a pleasure to deal with We had a snack in the golf course cafe and what an experience that was. We sat outside overlooking the 18th green we ordered food but when it was delivered we had to ask for the table to be cleaned, cutlery was dropped on the floor and no condiments were offered. In the morning we went to go for breakfast, nowhere is it indicated where to go to eat, when we found it there was a sign on the notice board outside it. We were greeted by the manager who said "she will show you where to go" whilst he fiddled with his mobile phone and took a call on that, I would assume it to be a private call as he said "yes mate" None of the waitresses were very polite and certainly not attentive, a very limited selection of food was available on the buffet.
Relaxing, good service, good food, lovely hotel & grounds No air conditioning, cost of drinks etc from the mini basket in room, mattress bit hard
The pool area was very impressive, and the staff in the pool area very helpful. The bar was very impersonal and was furnished in an inappropriate fashion. The breakfast we OK but tea was almost undrinkable.
good location clean modern hotel good gym and spa The food at the bistro was the worst i have ever eaten at a 'decent hotel. only one other person in the whole room should have been a clue. After a bottle of corked wine the prawn starter arrived to be followed 15 minutes later by the wine. The prawns went back and a new plate appeared. the sauce one could only describe as a mix between daddies, HP, tomato and jerk Truely revolting! But the fish and chips was to follow. For £12 i expected a large fresh piece of fish. Sometimes small is better and the flacid piece of cod arrived with mccain chips and a pile of lime green dollop. Use the hotel and the main restaurant (where i have had a good mean previously) by avoid the golf club bistro.
I enjoyed the facilities and the hotel had lots of fine qualities. My partner and I thought the food was the worse meal we ever had, how they can get the meal so wrong twice is unbelivable. The cost for the food was way over priced for the quality and I could recommend near by resteraunts that were far superior and at half the price.
it was restful and enjoyable
Nice well appointed room. Some friendly staff. Attractive setting. Good swimming pool and spa area A coach party of noisy people ruined the dinner atmosphere, were given the best dining slot, crowded out the breakfast room and caused queing. Breakfast older maitre'd was rude and offhand and did not give way to my disabled wife.
Personal service, rooms well equipped. Breakfast very good and parking provided. Room temperature could not be adjusted, it was a little warm
The room was pleasantly designed with modern furnishings, the bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was wonderful, everything was immaculately clean and there was a good variety of hot and cold foods for breakfast.
Friendly welcoming staff, very comfortable room, and excellent breakfast.
Allowed us early check in to leave bags in our room None
Comfortable, warm, good interior décor, good quality furnishings, nice bathroom, great breakfast, excellent location Tv difficult to work despite instructions, overnight parking great but having to move car by 9am when checkout was at 11am inconvenient
Friendly greet and rooms modern and clean - breakfast delicious and the hotel itself was ideally placed for shopping - the purpose of our trip
Clean, warm and comfortable and a good breakfast. The proprioters were not there to welcome us and although the lady who was there was very pleasant and kind, we felt that our welcome was rushed.
Breakfast was good,Jim made us feel at home, relaxed. Central heating miles too hot, could not adjust it.Could not open window, seemed to be sealed shut which made the situation worse.
I loved everything about this hotel. Location was fantastic right in the heart of old Norwich. Breakfast was superb and freshly cooked. 1 would certainly stay at Number 17 again. Car parking was expensive but very convenient. Always a problem in city centre location and not the fault of the hotel.
Staff welcoming and attentive, breakfast excellent, rooms clean and comfortable, plenty of parking, good geographical position. Whole decor outdated and worn. No apparent computer facilities for business people
The Hotel had absolutely everything we needed during our visit to Lowestoft,The staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient. The building itself is a bit of a rabbit warren.
The view from our room was breathtaking . We requested late checkout got it no problem breakfast lovely cooked to order all local produce . Had a fantastic stay will be going back with out a doubt.
We were upgraded to a suite. What a lovely surprise. We had a very nice room with beautiful views, very relaxed atmosphere. Dining: we did not try the Carvery menu, but had the a la carte - I felt my main course was pre-prepared, and subsequently was not to the highest standard. Passable. Breakfast: delicious.
Good location and adequate service. No specific dislikes.
Excellent meal in the carvery Room I stayed in smelled a bit unpleasant. Probably the old carpet/decor.
Good location with excellent views Superior room not up to standard expected ie room small and bed not a king size
Very friendly staff, smart in appearence and very professional. Great view of the broads from room window Slight breeze coming through the bedroom window whilst closed, nothing to worry about during the summer months.
The downstairs room were nicely furnished and the staff welcoming and friendly. The bed was comfortable My room was freezing cold - I arrived tired and would have appreciated if the heating (a small electric heater) had been on. Long corridors meant I felt vulnerable walking back to my room.
Option to use gym and swimming pool Carvery was very poor. Staff were young and inexperienced. It would make such a difference to this hotel if they had a good restaurant and took away the Carvery.
spa.staff were pretty good. ran out of various food items.room 218 had a wall picture missing the room heater did not work and decor somewhat shabby. i have stayed at this hotel on several occasions but not for some time, it seemed better then.
the food was excellent value the room / hotel needed updating/refurbishing but it was clean
Location no lift and requested ground floor
Friendliness of staff Not really
Easy to find and convenient with a car. I would describe my room as well used, tired. A lick of paint would go a long way.
Leisure facilities Food / Restaurant was not as good as it could have been. Lack of staff did not help.
Bed and breakfastr deal was excellent value for money, comfortable hotel, friendly staff. Some of the food at breakfast on the first day was not very hot.
Room needed redecorating, but informed this was in progress.
To many to choose from owner liz was a excellent hostess and really made our stay homely Weather but coming back for the good food and wine made you forget about outside
Pleasant, clean and nicely decorated rooms made for a comfortable overnight stay. Little extras like the small selection of DVDs in the room and free wifi were much appreciated. Easy on the wallet too, with the tariff including a continental breakfast with delicious home-made conserves.
Hostess was very friendly and helpfull, room was georgous
Nice sized rooms - good atmosphere
The breakfast (Full English) Was without doubt the best I have ever had at any hotel anywhere
the staff & the bed was really comfy having to go home
the bedroom and bathroom Having to wait for someone to answer the front door and to find someone to take payment who could work the card machine. Had to pay by cheque
Very welcoming, lovely smell of freshly baked breads and cakes -i was on my own and felt very safe and really comfortable in surroundings. i would prefer a shower cubicle rather than a shower over the bath as there was no curtain to retain spray of water.
The owner of Baytree House was lovely and very friendly, we got an upgrade to the Four poster room with Jacuzzi which was fantastic!
everything, a wonderful home cooked breakfast big enough for two, home made marmalade.A four poster bed up graded room, how kind. the lady who hosted the hotel very warm and friendly. nice location and near to a nice pub, for an evening drink.Beautifuly decorated and furnished and beautifuly kept and efficietly run.I loved it. the room I stayed in was going to have an shower added and this would have been better. i was not keen to share the bathroom facility.
Well situated for amenities.Owners very friendly. No real bad points, everything acceptable.Bedroom space a little constricted.
Excellent breakfast. Friendly chatty owners. Bed comfortable and nice big bathroom! Very cold in room. Radiator didnt give off much heat. Very noisy from street. Could benefit from double glazing as every car and person that went by woke us up.
Fantastic location, cleanliness and hospitality, will stop there again.
Staff very helful and friendly. Great breakfasts. Small bathroom
We arrived just before midnight after a long journey....we had a warm welcome with a cup of tea! The breakfasts were very good and nothing was too much trouble. A very comfortable stay!
It was quiet, clean and private.Parking was ok either outside on the forecourt or free nearby. I had a ground floor room which was very convenient. The breakfasts were very good- with lots of options and a soldier with my boiled eggs. The staff very friendly and helpful. I really hated Great Yarmouth itself and would never stay in the town again. However the nearby scenery and Norfolk coast was great. The hotel was selected because I was working in Norwich and did not want to stay in the city itself. It was an easy drive to the Cathedral.
All points of the hotel were excellent food very good and company very good as well. rooms were clean towels changed every day and room cleaned and beds made None
a very warm welcome on arival with a cup of tea,,the breckfast were great, the room was great with a nice view over a park
Excellent touches in all rooms, very clean and tidy and the owners were a wonderfully helpful couple
Very friendly staff. Room was comfortable with nice touches such as mini bar, good selection of tea's coffees, flat screen TV. Nice decor and veery comfy bed. Breakfast was smashing. Would certainly stay here again. No complaints
Warm friendly welcome.Good food,All the luxury room trimmings ie:coffe/tea biscuits, mini bar, toiletries, hair dryer, TV etc.
Cleanliness and facilities. Attitude of the owners/staff
Very friendly, welcoming people. Really nice breakfast options. I would stay here again on future visits
Lovely clean and modern hotel, very friendly and excellent food. No
Over the moon, we are disabled and they were very kind indeed.
the room n/a
The owners were very accomodating and inviting. Their service was excellent. They cooked me the finest tasting breakfast I'd ever had, and I've had a few!!
Welcoming & friendly, very modern, A grade cleanliness, great breakfast.
i was recomended the beaumont and will stay again it is welcoming clean ,comfortable, excellant facilities, fantastic breakfast, the best hotel i have stayed in for a long time.
