Pros: Very friendly, hospitable and helpful proprietor. Everything, house, room & bathroom very clean and comfortable. Great value for money Quiet location I also appreciated that both the room and the bathroom were heated at the end of April Breakfast is Italian style with sweet brioches/cake/zwieback, coffee as much as one wants from an espresso machine, apples
Pros: Extremely generous staff. He met all out needs and was so attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this accommodation, especially if you are looking for a true italian experience. Grazie mille.
Pros: The B&B is situated at the beginning of the hills. Very easy to reach and majestic surroundings.
Pros: Host was very caring and helpful
Cons: Everything fine
When you stay at Borgo Cadonega Relais & SPA in Viano, you'll be 10 minutes by car from Lido dei Calanchi Swimming Pool. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautiful and quiet - big nice room - great garden and swimming pool area.
Pros: The house renovation and decorations are outstanding. Staff was super friendly and helpfull
Cons: I didn't know I have to book in advance for dinner in their restaurant, so when we arrived late in the afternoon, we found out it was fully booked. But the staff was very supportive to recommend and book for us dinner in another restaurant in the same village, and that was also very good.
Pros: Nice building, in a beautiful garden. Great bathroom.
Cons: Children are not allowed to use spa, but it wasn't mentioned on booking.com.
Pros: The hotel itself is nice and I can recommend to get the suite as it is built into the old tower of the building ... a great experience
Cons: I don't know what happend in the restaurant on that specific stay ... but it was sadly my worst dinner of my vacation It looked like the intern was doing the service and the cook was trying the first time the 4 course menu ... I really do hope for the hotel that it was just a very very bad day :-(
Pros: The room and breakfast were excellent. The facilities are very clean and the bed is excellent. We had dinner at the restaurant; this was enjoyable with good service.
Cons: The Borgo is not situated in a rural environment but right behind the houses of a little village. The pictures are thus not really representative for its location. The Borgo itself is very nice but is located far from the autostrada so not really convenient if you like to do trips to Reggio or Parma. As a family we did not seem to fit in with the other guests. It is more suitable for couples who like to use the Spa facilities.
Pros: Very good place
Pros: Perfect for a long weekend with great steam room, jacuzzi. Beautiful restaurant and great chef. Best breakfast we had in Italy on our six week road trip around the country.
Located in Vezzano sul Crostolo, Agriturismo Ca' del Ciuco is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Canossa Castle and Parco Matildico di Montalto. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location perfect for looking around Emilia Romagna, close to Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, even Bologna, or small towns around... but car is a must. Canossa Castle is walking distance in a short hike. Very nice dinner served, and good selection of wines. Fresh and tasty breakfast, the Honey they produce is amazing. Very nice view and cute donkies in the property.
Cons: Every meal must be booked in advance, short flexibility to be spontaneous.
Pros: We wanted to make the experience with the Agriturismo and we really got a good feeling about their business. The room / bath was spacious, clean and in good condition. There are nice ways to walk around, especially adventurous for our dog. The meal in the evening was made by the host and delicious. The breakfast was sumptuous and generous. The service warm and unpretentious. If you like honey, you can buy some very good ones at the reception. Next time we will spend more time there and relax at the very nice pool.
Pros: Giovanni is a great host, same for his personal. The food they cook is marvelous and of very good quality. Everything is home made. This was the best restaurant we visit during our road trip. Also try the hike to castillo Canossa. It is a nice walk up hill, with beautiful scenery. On the hill, you can bring a visit to the donkeys. At twilight the hill is also a good place to spot wildlife. The hill is also great for looking to the stars. The appartment is spacious and has everything you need. And that in a lovely old style.
Pros: Great spot for those wishing to relax from crowded cities and urban areas. Nice welcoming staff and very friendly. The unit was simply great. I found it very very very nice. Our bedroom was out of this world and the swimming-pool rather nice for a full relaxation time. To return with more time.
Pros: Rooms are perfect , clean and beautiful...food , vine ,and beer is great . Owners are super friendly they will help you whit everything you ask. They are pet friendly and my dog likes it to
Pros: First of all Giovanni the owner of this property is a very friendly person and also a great chef. We stayed 4 days with 2 other friends of mine. Location is a bit far from the town but the view and the athmosphere was incredible. I will come back again for sure and definetaly reccommend this little house to all my friends
Pros: Great staff, very available.
Cons: Diffticult to reach by night.
Pros: Location and staff are excellent! Great home made food and very relax and friendly staff! Relaxing behond the limit!
Pros: Everything was amazing. The house is even more beautiful than it looks in the pictures and it is located within peaceful and quiet nature and mountains. But the best thing was the cooking of the wonderful host Giovanni. Absolutely delicious and innovative. It was a great stay and we want to come again.
Cons: Nothing. Niente. Nada.
Pros: The food was amazing! Great swimming pool.
Located in Albinea, IL Borgo del Balsamico is within a 15-minute drive of Salus Hospital and Palabigi. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The property and the garden are wonderful. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast consists of a small selection of foods, but it´s all high quality and mainly local produce.
Cons: The location of the place isn´t ideal. It´s for people who don´t mind driving every day. As the property is on a fairly busy street without sidewalk you can´t really walk anywhere. You feel kind of forced to drive out for lunch and dinner every day. We would have loved to spend more time at the beautiful garden or by the pool, just reading or doing nothing, but we always had to think about where to drive next to get food. As opening times of restaurants in Italy are limited, you also have to make sure to leave in time. Although we did visit some great places driving around, we would have enjoyed our stay even more if we were able to get either lunch or dinner at the property.
Pros: Great old rustic buildings, Italian style gardens, with a lovely pool. Tour of balsamic vinegar production was brilliant. Secure onsite parking. The owners will make reservations at restaurants for you if needed.
Pros: We loved the room and the terrain of the Borgo. The balsamico tasting by Silvia was also great!
Pros: very nice buffet, great coffe and fine ham romantic location
Pros: The property, the garden, the lady who served breakfast
Cons: Not internet in the bedroom, the road under my window, no toiletries in the shower, no minibar, no TV, no restaurant with in walking distance
Pros: The Italian garden was exquisite.
Pros: Situated in an estate of an old villa, the scenery is simply stunning. Rita, the manager is extremely friendly and helpful. You should also ask for a tour of the balsamico production.
Cons: The bathroom is very dated. Hot water questionable and the flow very low. The breakfast was also poor which left a somewhat of a sour taste to an otherwise great experience.
Cons: Very nice building and villa. Rooms not really DeLuxe (no airco only small fan) They allow dogs but quite little place to walk with dog. Big garden but unfortunately most is private and access not allowed to clients. Dog access to pool also forbidden. Interesting tour to understand balsamico. Rita was very nice.
Pros: Very nice balsamic tour :-) the owners were adorable and very friendly. It had a homy feeling to it
Pros: The balsamic tour was great. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the buildings are beautiful. The whole estate is as pretty a place you could hope to stay. We were very happy to have found this place.
Cons: Everything was good
Set among the hills of Emilia Romagna, Terre Di Casalia offers rooms in Casina, a 30-minute drive from Reggio Emilia. The property produces its own wines, jams, spelt and pickled spicy fruit, the typical Mostarda. Featuring free Wi-Fi access, rooms have a rustic style and are furnished with parquet floors. The private bathroom comes with a bath or shower, bidet and free toiletries. A typical Italian breakfast is served daily in the shared lounge, including freshly brewed coffee or cappuccino, sweet pastries and home-made cakes. The restaurant serves typical food from Emilia. Canossa Castle is a 25-minute drive from Terre Di Casalia, while Parma is 60 km away. Maranello and the Ferrari Museum is a 55-minute drive from the property.
Pros: All of the food was really wonderful; from breakfast to dinner. Nearly all of the food is produced directly by them or by others farms and producers in the immediate area. Really wonderful quality and you could taste it! The pool with the goats nearby on the hillside and the view of the green mountains was an especially wonderful part of our stay. And lastly, at dinner we were given the best spot on the balcony with a stunning view of the valley and hills.
Cons: Overall, there were no problems. The few tiny critiques were that at times the voices coming from the path below our room got a bit loud. Also, during the night we got very warm as the wind didn't really enter and circulate in the room.
Pros: Randomly picked accommodation on the road. And oh boy what a pearl we found! Agriturismo Casalia - old house renovated with very good taste. Big room with even bigger bathroom. Super comfy beds and nice views via french balconies to beautiful hills. They also have small pool for swimming. Relaxing athmosphere middle of hills and beautiful landscape. Apparently the place is also number one restaurant at area and we had one of the best meals in our vacation there. They produce own wine, it was so good we bought few bottles to enjoy later at home. Communication bit of a challenge but we managed with mix italian-english-hands and staff made the best that we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was served on table with coffee you want, cold cuts, bread, jam, hand made cheese and sweet pastries. All they served was with excellend quality and taste. If not time to stay, go there and eat.
Pros: The view from Terre di Casalia is wonderful, as well as the breakfast and dinner. The pool is a nice cool down spot, where the view is great as well! Rooms are clean and have everything you need.
Pros: Roberto has been an amazing host and very accommodating. The property is just breathtaking and only topped by the great service.
Cons: nothing at all
Pros: Excelent service. Very beautiful place (road to get there is not so good). Very good brakfast. In total i highly reccomend.
Cons: There is Wifi, but in upper room signal is not so good.
Pros: Just great
Cons: That we just spent one night
Pros: Staying at Il Tempo Ritrovato was a wonderful and relaxing experience. The room was beautiful, carefully restored by its owners, set in an old 13th century guardhouse. The bed was deliciously comfortable, the bathroom just what I needed after a long hot walk from Reggio Emilia, and the view from my window enchanting. Isolina and her family made me feel very much at home and answered all my questions about the local cuisine and dialect, as well as enjoying a discussion about Matilda of Canossa and recommending a book on this subject. The breakfast was superb, with excellent coffee, energising porridge, and fresh delicious fiorini figs from the garden. Isolina’s apricot jam was the best I’ve ever tasted. I would return in a heartbeat to this magical spot.
Pros: Il Tempo Ritrovato lies very nice near Rossena and Canossa castle. The landscape is really beautiful. Our cosy room was very clean has a nice bathroom and a wonderful view of Rossena castle. Isolina, the owner of the B&B, is very kind and helpful and offers delicious breakfast with bread, coffee, tea, selfmade marmelades, fruits, and different home baked things. She also cooked a really delicious dinner for us. We had a perfect time. Thank you very much.

Pros: Furniture.. Location
Pros: Magical rural location. Traditional village house, beautiful garden and views. Stylish and simple. Marcella a lithe (former gymnast, yoga teacher) and delightful host.fab walking country
Cons: Satnav and google maps sent us to wrong locations twice from address link. Directions need to say from Pecorile take Road to Casola, then the address works! Need to take wine and supper if you arrive late as nowhere to eat nearby, though amazingly a pizza delivery service! Room and kitchen a bit chilly early spring. It bed cosy!
Pros: The staff was very helpful . The owner tried her best to make our stay comfortable including preparing eggs etc for breakfast . The location is beautiful with really green and lush surroundings
Cons: The access to the place is through narrow and steep roads , Hard to find and there are no signs boards to guide you

Pros: We had a lovely two days at this property which is immersed in the beauty of the Apennines. We used it as a base to visit the Pietra di Bismantova. The host was extremely friendly and polite. We were happy to have dinner at the property.
Cons: The dinner was priced at Euros 25/- per head, the price was not informed in advance, and seemed high for what we were served. Not much to do at the property for adults/ adults travelling without children.
Pros: The views and surrounding countryside, good walking and close to national parks. The evening meals were amazing, definitely have dinner there, at least once or twice!
Cons: Rooms on the small side. They do have apartments to though.
