5.0 Okay
Pros: hotel location around by the vineyard beautiful chateau and french garden
Cons: the reception staff is not helpful the room is tired and needs facelift soon kettle located in the bath room.... breakfast choice is limited and poorly prepared pillow seemed cheap in quality.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This was our third stay and it did not disappoint. Lovely room with own patio in old residence bldg, fabulous dinner and the sun shone the whole time!
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was excellent, although we had a room outside the chateau. The meal was expensive and the service slow, they could have taken our order whilst we were having our pre-dinner drink. The ladies had menus without the prices, I thought that went out of fashion 20 years ago!! Breakfast was very good, but we did not get table service for coffee, which we had at other lower star rating hotels. The orange juice machine was overkill!!
Cons: Supper timing. We had a booking for 7.30pm and did not get our starters until after 9.00pm!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location and the restaurant were magnifisant, the comfort of the room in general.
Cons: The materials used tot built the rooms: cheap floor, cheap Doors.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location, atmosphere
Cons: Over priced. Mistakes made on bill all in favour of the hotel. Watch out for “Spa sensation “ very poor value for money
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Gardens, grounds, room, dinner
Cons: Breakfast was only mediocre given the high cost. Fine for those who wanted cheese and meat, but otherwise unimaginative and nothing cooked on offer apart from a pile of eggs you could boil.

Pros: Outdoor heated pool Grounds are spectacular with vineyards Food in restaurant great
Cons: Room felt cramped, for the price Toilet needed to be flushed multiple times Possible to pay 25% less if you pay at last minute

Cons: Overpriced for a very, very basic room.
6.0 Good
Pros: Although the room was small it was warm and comfortable. The facilites and cleanliness were good. Everything worked. The linen was clean and the beds comfortable. The Continental breakfast was acceptable, but layout is not very logical. There was not a good selection of cerials, bread or fruit juices, and we could see no crackers as an alternative. We asked if we could fill our flask with coffee, but had to transfer from the coffee machine cup by cup. No offer was made to fill it for us. We would have been prepared to pay. There is a good restaurant directly across the road. Motorway one minute drive away.
Cons: Nothing particularly.
5.0 Okay
Pros: It was conveniently located near the highway, and we only needed to sleep there for a night. It was fine for that purpose.

Pros: Easy, secure parking. Clean, comfortable room.
Cons: It would have been good to be able to have an aperitif in the garden or in an inside bar before dinner.
5.0 Okay
Pros: We used the hotel as a "pit stop" on our way from marseille to paris. it served it's purpose as that and only that. bed was comfortable.
Cons: Advertised wifi did not work in the room and we had to go to the lobby in order to get it working. bathtub/shower was too small and my partner slipped and almost seriously hurt herself. toilet was too high off the ground and when sitting on it, feet could not reach the ground. contruction somewhere in the building started early and woke us up.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Unmanned at night: internet should have alluded to this. Telephone misdirected to a sleeping guest! Emergency night time number unanswered. Could only access 1 of 2 booked rooms (for the children) so had to sleep in car park. Unable to purchase an additional room because of 'technical difficulties'. Car park unlocked/open all night. The room stank of cigarettes. Heater did not work in the bathroom.

7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel has obviously invested in re-furbishing the rooms, which were good - new, bed and linen very good, bathroom in new condition. The staff is very attentive and forthcoming; the hotel is located in the heart of the beaujolais wine region - too bad that it was autumn and the vineyards (the hotel is located in the midst of them) were gray and waiting for spring / summer.
Cons: Although obviously money is spent on updating rooms, the hotel itself is in need of attention and a lick of paint here and there. The front entrance needs repair, etc. Would ask the hotel to please keep up the maintenance issues - the hotel has great potential.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very well located, surrounded by vineyards and within walking distance of the centre of Fleurie. Our room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good. Freshly cooked crepes were brought to our table! It really felt like being in the heart of Beaujolais with the hotel selling its own wine and by chance a wine fair taking place in the village while we were there. Enjoyed our overnight stay.
Cons: Room a bit on the small side.
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice location, good view from the room. Good breakfast.
Cons: Several staff members made mistakes regarding my length of stay. Double bed was two single beds pushed together, beds were too soft, weirdly textured pillowcases. Just two hooks on the back of the door in the bathroom. No place to hang hand towels etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Small but comfortable room. They staff put a fan in our room as it was extremely hot.
Cons: Breakfast selection could have been better

Pros: The location is beautiful and very pretty. Loved the sunset on the terras. Rooms are clean and very okay for a short stay. Nice touch is that they sell Beaujolais!
Cons: The shower was a bit outdated.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful, little hotel, surrounded by wine fields. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, the rooms were beautifully decorated with comfortable beds, and the breakfast was delicious. The biggest plus for the children were the owners’ five cats, living on the hotel grounds, as well as the pool. The hotel serve a small selection of pasta dishes for dinner. There are a few restaurants in the village, 15 minutes’ walk from the hotel. It’s possible to by excellent, local wine at a cheap price at the hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The owners , staff, service and location were amazing. The pool was ideal too.
Cons: Not much to dislike with this hotel it met our expectations within a lovely location in the middle of vineyards.

Pros: The Chateau is beautiful with extensive grounds and luxurious rooms. The decor is charming, romantic and it was a real treat to stay there. The owners are exceptionally friendly and warm. We had a marvelous time.
Cons: The only thing that let the place down a little was the swimming pool. The pool area is in bad need of an update. This said we couldn't have found fault with anything else.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely welcome from charming young family, amazing grand chateau in beautiful gardens. Our spacious room was wonderful with a four poster bed, fireplace, antique furniture, big windows with views of vineyards and almost a suite with separate bathroom and loo. Delicious breakfast of croissants, bread and jam, tea and coffee served in elegant salon. Slept and ate well in perfect peace and quiet. Shame it was too cold to try the pool! We even got a parting gift of a CD of music made by our host. Loved it!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is a spectacular historic Chateau a short walk from the centre of Fleurie, one of the main Villages of Beaujolais, and is furnished with some beautiful antique furniture and fittings. We were given the Bridal Suite for our overnight stop en route to Italy, which was beautifully furnished with a 4 poster bed and other period fittings. The centre of the village is only a short walk, where several restaurants can be found, from simple to Michelin starred, with plenty of wonderful Beaujolais food and wine to be enjoyed. Breakfast next morning was served in a very grand dining room and set us up perfectly for our onward journey South.

Pros: We've been coming to this hotel since 1994. Still our favorite spot in the Beaujolais. Location is great, nice outdoor terrace for meals in the summer, nice atmosphere
Cons: The hotel recently renovated with a new wing and a state of the art spa. Unfortunately, not all facilities are fully available yet such as the gym being closed before 9 am, when most people tend to go to the gym. Also a pity that the large outdoor pool has been replaced by a much smaller and sleeker pool in the spa wing. No drinks are served there as opposed to the former pool.

Pros: All good. Rooms comfortable and v clean. Restaurant fantastic
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect; less-than-ten minutes from most-everywhere we wished to go
Cons: Only thing missing was a mini-fridge in the room. We had to discard some cheese...
6.3 Good
Pros: Clean room and bathroom. Lovely breakfast. Location in between the wineries.
Cons: Arrival not welcoming on location before 4pm. The family did not seem happy about us using the pool area. No where to stay apart from the bed room, outside the facilities only for the family.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice accomodation with pool and garden. Great breakfast and hospitallity of the family. The location was perfect in a very pretty landscape. We enjoyed the room and bed. Everything was super great!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. The outdoor seating and swimming pool was also excellent and relaxing. The location is quite central to Beaujolais wineries and towns and in a lovely rural setting.
Cons: We booked the family rooms for 4 adults which consisted of a large double bedroom and then a small sitting room converted to a double bedroom via a fold-out couch. This second room was small and meant that we had no common sitting area for the 4 adults except outside. That was ok as, fortunately, the weather was good but would not recommend the family rooms for 4 adults. (the photos showed a sitting room which was assumed to be part of the arrangement and not one of the bedrooms)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, friendly owners, large rooms (with ventilators - much needed in this hot weather), coffee machine in the room, the sumptuous breakfast with local and home made produce, the wonderful garden with pool. This was our second visit, more will definitely follow!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The house is beautiful and very tastefully decorated. Our room was huge with a separate living area. Breakfast every morning was better than many hotels would offer. The house dog was an added bonus.
Cons: Didn't get to enjoy the pool enough.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful, elegant house is easy to find from the main road and set amongst the vineyards, with a lovely garden and pool (though we only managed a quick dip before storms and rain set in for the whole time we were there!) The family suite was very nice, smartly decorated, with amazing views all round. Lovely big bathroom. Breakfast was superb! Homemade yoghurt, jams, honey, & orange juice and fresh fruit salad, bread and pastries. Cheeses and ham too. A real treat to linger over!
Cons: The only thing I’d say was that the sofa bed in the smaller room wasn’t great - very creaky. Decor is v smart and would be lovely when room used as a sitting room. Our teenagers loved having a separate room though and slept fine though!

We were offered a ride into town due to long taxi times, flexible breakfast times, reaching out to other producers for us to go visit, etc. Now we are home and people ask if we stayed with family in France, I answer with "we found long lost relatives in Beaujolais!"
Cons: I wish we would have stayed longer. We booked thinking it would be a good spot to lay our heads after the festival but wished we would have been able to stay for a week.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was total separate from the owners house and had its own small terrace. It was quite spacious and had a nice walk in shower. The owners were very hospitable and could not have done more to help us during our stay. Breakfast was served on their terrace and was excellent with plenty of choice. We took up the option of having an evening meal on our first night and sat on their terrace and ate the meal with them, getting the chance to taste some of the wine they produce with the meal. (We bought some cases before we left) They are a very pleasant and friendly couple and we enjoyed really talking to them during the evening.
Cons: It was recommended that we keep the shutters closed in the afternoon and until the sun set to keep the room cool. However it made the room dark. However not much that could be done about that.

Pros: It was everything I hoped for and more. What a nice place and good service. I can't wait to stay there again. This is what France is or should be all about.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Chateau de Bellevue is one of the most memorable places I've ever stayed in. I was lucky enough to be the only person staying at the Chateau for the evening I was there, so Anna very kindly upgraded my room for no extra charge. She was kind enough to show me all of the areas for winemaking including the cellar, and she explained the various methods they use to produce both light or more structured variations of Beaujolais. My room was fantastic with a really comfortable bed, loads of space and a large bathroom. There was a lovely balcony with a great view of the garden and the countryside beyond. I highly recommend walking around the huge garden to see the magnificent view towards the Alps. Most of the famous Beaujolais villages are a 10/15 minute drive away (e.g. Fleurie, Regnie, Beaujeu etc). You can find restaurants in the nearby villages, I visited one in Thoissey next to the river Saone. The continental breakfast at the Chateau was also very good. Overall it was a great experience.
Cons: Nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property is absolutely gorgeous, and the decor and natural light in our room added to the ambiance. The views from the rooms are spectacular. The staff are kind and attentive, but not overbearing. We would absolutely stay again!
Cons: There is no air conditioning, and a fan was not available. This was tough for our summer stay, though it does cool down quite a bit at night.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely beautiful accommodation, room facilities and grounds were more than we were expecting, as was the friendliness of our host and their hospitality. Location was only a few minutes out of town, which was perfect as you need a car to get anywhere around Beaujolais anyway.
Cons: After arriving we realised our room didn't have air conditioning - our mistake not looking closely at the room description. We managed without but others may find this to be an issue.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Chateau de Briante is an absolutely beautiful property that let us discover the Beaujolais wine region easily and with so much relaxation. Breakfast every morning was delicious, with many options between fruits, breads, jams and drinks. The location was right in the middle of the Beaujolais wine route, and was easily accessible to other wineries. Touring Chateau de Briante's winery was also cool, as the entire Chateau is a working winery, which is something we were very excited about. Lauren hosted an informative wine tasting followed by a tour of her facility, it was really cool! The pool area was great to relax at after a long day of biking and touring around. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a nice outdoor entrance to relax at as well. Also, we loved the family's winery dog, he was great at greeting us every time we returned to the property. Would highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit the region! The wine at the Chateau is amazing as well, we look forward to finding it in a wine shop soon.
Cons: It would be cool to offer lawn games such as badminton, crocket, etc to play on the front lawn! The front lawn is so spacious, just a suggestion for an extra activity!

Pros: It was so good that this was a return visit for us and we will come again

Pros: Beautiful, huge room. The innkeeper doesn’t speak English, but it was no problem for me and my wife. She was very kind and the room was gorgeous. Too hot to use the pool but it looked nice.
Cons: No complaints.

5.4 Okay
Pros: Nice garden view. Hotel is like a home. The breakfast was good.
Cons: From the rating and the price on booking we expected a luxury hotel. This is a poor area, a hardly recognizable hotel with an unclear entrance, almost like a hoax. We were the only guests which made it even spooky. The kids at first were afraid to stay.
7.5 Good
Pros: Really nice diner.
Cons: - Can only pay with cash
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A fabulous find and so much nicer than our usual hotel stop overs on the way to our skiing holiday. The owner was charming and showed us his fabulous home which is full of amazing furniture and collectibles. The beds were very comfortable. Would be even better in the summer when you could take advantage of sitting on the terrace and looking over the beautiful gardens. The owner was very gracious about us arriving slightly later than planned even though we had ordered dinner. A very tasty three course meal for euro 22 accompanied by local red wine (18 euro) were very welcome after a full days driving. The breakfast was just as good - homemade yoghurt, fruit, croissants, boiled egg, ham, cheese, jams etc. What more could you want. All in all a fab find and somewhere we would hope to return

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great place for a stop over driving to the south (of France). Very welcoming owners. Comforting dinner in the evening next to a lovely fireplace. Simple French breakfast in the morning with all kind of home made jams.
Cons: The place is in the middle of nowhere. We liked that, but maybe good to know for other guests before making a booking.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed in spacious room with stunning view of the mountain. Atmospheric dining room with interesting teapots and a vintage corkscrew collection, among overgrown house plants who were hogging the light. Our charming host served us delicious home-cooked fish and rice with local produce, peaches in wine for desert, and local cheeses. Next day the very pleasant ladies we shared the breakfast table with were as embarrassed of their limited English as we were of our French so it wasn't too awkward. Together we sampled tasty homemade preserves, including grape and watermelon. We didn't have time to enjoy the beautiful garden.
Cons: Sharing the dining table with strangers was unexpected, but is possibly normal in a Maison d'Hotes (our ignorance).
