Pros: It was a like a lovely “experience” of being invited to someone’s special place for a rest or a vacation & to have them go out of their way to make you comfortable & to give you suggestions, etc. not to mention prepare an incredible breakfast each morning before sending you on your way! This lovely home is impeccably decorated as per period details & welcomes you with everything you could possibly need!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a castle, a beautiful noble palace. The host is a great passionate about his treasure. We had a room on 2 floors. Breakfast is like kings and queens. Amazing experience.
Cons: Nothing to say. Only that there are not locks in the room to preserve the original style. So if you sleep no problem you can lock but if you leave your stuff to go out you can't lock the room. It's ok as people in this place are all very nice and trust is all around :)

Pros: A lovely setting, centrally located to visit Avignon, Saint Rémy, Arles, Nimes, Pontiac du Gard and various other lovely places of interest
Cons: Just a minor point: credit card payment is not accepted. Cash only.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The maitre de was very pleasant and produced home made jams for breakfast with toast.
Cons: The bed was metal framed and the mattress was not thick enough. There were no tea making facilities, I had to ask for a hairdryer and the bath towels were too small. Also the swimming pool water was green and totally uninviting. The grounds were in a poor untidy condition - nothing like the photos on the website.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Yvan , the host was wonderful. We felt at home straight away. Fantastic room, just felt so relaxed. Great dogs, which I loved. We had the opportunity to eat dinner there, cooked by Yvan, it was delicious, so if you get the opportunity definitely take it up. Just a great stay overall, one of our favourites.
Cons: Nothing, once again a perfect place to stay in france

Pros: Fantastic location - just a few minutes from Pont du Gard and only 30 from Avignon. The house itself is wonderful. It’s charming, clean and has beautiful gardens. The pool is also great to return to, especially in summer to cool off and to order an ice cold bottle of local wine to relax with. Yvan the owner is very welcoming and friendly. We will go back one day, and stay much longer...

Les Aubuns Country Hôtel - Caissargues - Pool

8.6 Excellent (339 reviews)

Featured amenities include a business center, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
6.3 Good
Pros: The pool
Cons: The hours for the bar should be updated (closed with the pool and not 11pm), as well as the ones of the restaurant which was closed at lunch/diner time...
6.7 Good
Pros: Swimming pool was lovely, but freezing cold. I'm sure it would be warm in the summer. Large car park.
Cons: I received a voicemail message (in English) on the Thursday evening, during our flight from the UK, to say the restaurant would be closed when we arrived on Saturday evening and asking me to phone with exact time of arrival. When I phoned there was no-one available who could speak English. The main reason I booked there was because they had a restaurant but it was too late to make alternative arrangements and we had to drive into Nimes to get a meal that night. When we arrived back at the hotel we could hear music playing nearby, which carried on most of the night until 5 o'clock in the morning. Maybe not the hotel's fault but didn't make for a comfortable stay. We couldn't ask the staff about it the next morning as there was still no-one available who could speak English and my French isn't very good. I don't necessarily expect English to be spoken abroad but the hotel did advertise that English was spoken. The bed was very low and very firm and there was only one cup and one tea bag in the room and no milk. There was no hot water available in the breakfast room with which to make tea. It was a shame because it has great potential, once you have gained entry as it sits behind locked iron gates!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to airport. Very pleasant pool area Good meal
Cons: Nothing to walk to from hotel Would have been useful for breakfast to have been served earlier
7.1 Good
Pros: Above standard three star hotel with airy , bedrooms featuring interior design touches. Beautiful pool area.
Cons: Limited food offering , which closed down completely on Saturday . Given the lack of alternative food offerings in the nearby villages this made for frustration and disappointment. You must drive everywhere.

Pros: If you’re touring and have a car, it’s much more convenient staying in a little village like this than the centre of the larger towns like Nimes or Aix-en-Provence where finding or getting out of the hotel parking can be the longest and most stressful part of the journey. 6.7 Good
Pros: We used the family room (really 2 rooms) with an extra bed added for the 3rd child. It was very clean, not far from the Pont du Gard, and had a lot of local charm. The people who run it were very relaxed, charming and helpful, and it made for a particularly enjoyable 2-night stay. We ate in the restaurant one evening and thought the food very good. Its small so doesn't feel like an 'industrial' hotel, and we thought it excellent value
Cons: The family room is overlooking the road and, even with the double-glazed windows and shutters shut, there is some road noise - especially when lorries go by. It didn't bother us much, and certainly didn't spoil our stay, but its probably better to know about it in advance

Cons: No canoe hire available as suggested on your web-site.

Pros: The room was recently updated.
Cons: The parking garage was too small to properly fit any mid-sized car and involved moving cars to let those parked behind out. The tiny shower!

Pros: Air con in rooms was fantastic
Cons: The smell of cigarette smoke in one of the rooms. When I was going down to ask about getting another room I met one of the staff who was on her way up to our room with some air freshener so they must have known about the problem before we arrived. Hotel was full so couldn't offer us another room. Air freshener masked the smell for a while but really this should have been dealt with sooner.
